First of all, the video is awesome and really important advocacy.
But secondly, this post uses a screencap of the Tiktok's text description while providing no alt for it. Here is that information, easily copied-and-pasted from the original source:
ndssorg National Down Syndrome Society·3-14
Follow
This #WorldDownSyndromeDay, we’ve joined forces with @coordown and other international Down syndrome organizations to spread the powerful message: No Decision Without Us. 💪 People with disabilities deserve a seat at the table where decisions are made about their lives, their futures, and their rights. Let’s work together toward a world where every voice is valued. #NoDecisionWithoutUs #WDSD25
Thirdly - and as far as I can tell the original source gets this wrong too - there's no description of the video for blind folks. I admit I often reshare videos that don't have have that, and it's arduous to have to type it out, but it's a fair criticism that the original source should have it given that they're specifically citing blind inaccessibility to video in the piece.
I will type a very brief description as I am suffering from significant hand pain today. I invite others to follow this up with a more thorough description, please.
Video description: a series of vignettes in which people with varying disabilities burst into situations where decisions are made that affect them but the deciders have not included them, including a person with Down's Syndrome who wants to choose her own clothes, a person in a wheelchair pointing out that a planned facility blocks his travel, a person with dwarfism (I apologise if this is incorrect phrasing, I'm not sure about that community's preference) who can't reach high shelves, a deaf person who can't hear the fire alarm, a blind person who can't use a touch screen video, an amputee with an artificial limb, and another person with Down's Syndrome. At the end they all come out of doors on a stage to sing the final bit of the song together.
Sometimes having to include accessible information is easy (like ALT tags, especially when you can cut and paste). Sometimes it's really quite difficult. Sometimes it's not reasonable to expect it, but it's entirely reasonable to expect it on actual disabled advocacy posts.

Overview of some topics when it comes to drawing characters who are burn survivors.
DISCLAIMER. Please keep in mind that this is an introductory overview for drawing some burn scars and has a lot of generalizations in it, so not every “X is Z” statement will be true for Actual People. I'm calling this introductory because I hope to get people to actually do their own research before drawing disabled & visibly different characters rather than just making stuff up. Think of it as a starting point and take it with a grain of salt (especially if you have a very different art style from mine).
Talking about research and learning... don't make your burn survivor characters evil. Burn survivors are normal people and don't deserve to be constantly portrayed in such a way.

Consider supporting me on ko-fi if you find this to be helpful.
edit: apparently tum "queerest place on the internet" blr hates disabled people so much that this post got automatically filtered. cool!
second way more important edit: How are people seeing this post where I specifically talk about burn survivors being normal, real people, and still tag this as "TW body horror"? Not a single one of these drawings or pictures is a fresh injury. All of them are healed. How the hell would you feel if someone tagged a photo of you as "trigger warning: gore"?
Disabled people are not your fucking body horror. Grow up.

So.
Kids.
Going by the comments on this post, I need to introduce a whole lot of you to the alt attribute.
From a couple different wikis, emphasis mine:
The alt attribute provides alternative information for an image if a user for some reason cannot view it (because of slow connection, an error in the src attribute, or if the user uses a screen reader). The attribute was first introduced in the HTML 1.2 draft in 1993 to provide support for text-based browsers. In HTML 4.01, which was released in 1999, the attribute was made to be a requirement for the img and area tags.
In other words, alt tags have been the accepted accessibility standard for images for longer than many of you reading this have been alive. Tumblr took way too long to fully implement it, but now it's here!
So, if you want to describe an image while you're creating or editing your post, just select the three dots overlaying the lower right hand corner of your image. This will open a pop-up. Use the option "Update image description."
Tumblr media
Then you'll get a dialog box that allows you to add text describing the image. Hit "Update" to save.
Tumblr media
Then, when you post your image, that description will be available for screen readers. As the original post demonstrates, it can be viewed if you select that little "alt" button in the lower left.
Learn it, love it, use it with pride.

"Holding your hand doesn't have to mean that I accept your friendship," the liar said to the truthful, trying to lie in front of the only person who understands his intentions.
He knows, of course, that the liar did not lie. For the liar is also the truthful.
