Animated Skeleton from Toy Projector
Awhile back, I found a toy projector at my local CVS. It ran through a 16 frame slide reel showing a skeleton dancing. I scanned the images in high-quality over here.
And here's a Tumblr-friendly gif made from the 16 frames.

I know I'm just an Archive Channel in this state, but it's Pride Month, and I wanted to do something for that.
There's really not much to this bit apart from finding a funny way of debuting a Pride Month Shitpost, and I guess I found it funny to do so by picking a game with crossbows the size of gustav guns that fires like burst fire Browning M2s.
Just based things I figured would be worthy of Pride Month Mood hours.

AI Is Taking Over TV and Broadcasting - And That's a Good Thing
In the ever-evolving world of technology, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become the shiny new toy that everyone's obsessed with. While some people are freaking out about the potential dangers, others are treating it like the second coming - something that can upgrade and improve pretty much any industry. Interestingly, the media world is going through a massive shift, with AI transitioning from a simple tool for basic tasks to a complex, powerful system driving all kinds of processes.
One huge way AI is impacting media is by automating the boring, repetitive work. AI gives journalists and broadcasters the power to put tedious, data-heavy jobs like writing captions, summarizing content, and fact-checking on autopilot. As an example, Reuters is using an AI tool called Lynx Insight to automatically generate captions from economic data. Meanwhile, The Washington Post relies on an AI system called Heliograf to quickly crank out short reports on sports events and political stuff.
But the real magic happens when AI gets integrated into Media Asset Management (MAM) systems. In the old days, the value of archived footage was based on someone's ability to manually dig through it and recognize what was useful. MAM systems came along to try and make that archived content more searchable and accessible. But there was still a big puzzle to solve - how to effectively categorize and sort through massive piles of data?
This is where AI's genius really shines. A company called TVU Networks is leading the charge by baking AI algorithms for speech-to-text, facial recognition, entity detection and more into their MediaMind AI engine. This doesn't just eliminate the painful slog of manually analyzing every clip, but does it at lightning speed - unlocking all the hidden gems buried in your archived media.
An AI-turbo-charged MAM system is a total game-changer. In newsrooms, writers and archivists can easily find that perfect archived footage to support their stories. During live broadcasts, producers can quickly pull up relevant archived clips to complement what's happening on screen. And in post-production, editors can seamlessly locate the best raw footage and archived gems, turning editing into a fluid, dynamic art form.
Tumblr media
But wait, there's more! Just imagine a world where a correspondent is writing up a story, and relevant video clips just magically appear on their screen - surfaced by an AI that deeply understands the context and meaning of the story. AI and MAM joining forces to make finding the ideal visuals for any story an absolute breeze.
The media giants like Sony, Grass Valley, and Ross are all racing to tap into AI's massive potential for broadcasting. But a smaller player called TVU Networks, with their AI-infused media management platform TVU MediaMind and slick search interface TVU Search, is really leading the charge in using AI to transform how broadcasting actually works.
Look, AI's takeover of the media world won't be a smooth, bump-free ride. There will be hurdles and hiccups along the way. But as AI keeps sinking its teeth deeper into TV and broadcasting, it's obvious the entire industry is in for a major reboot. With AI injecting steroids into speed, smarts and innovation, the future of broadcasting won't just be digital - it'll be downright dazzling.

I originally wanted to scrap this because the audio for it that was on TikTok was oddly gone for reasons I guess I'll never be able to comprehend.
This one's nothing special apart from editing goofy goober hours. I was really proud of this one too for some reason.

hot late night take: people are pissed about authors on ao3 who use the “chose not to warn” tag/warning on fics because they feel entitled to all fics and are frustrated when those fics are not explicitly written, tagged, and catered toward them specifically.
telling them “just filter those fics out” doesn’t work because deep down these bean soup fanatics think that they are entitled to every fic.
