Do you ever think about what would happen if the supervolcano under Yellowstone National Park were to erupt? I mean a good chuck of the United States would just be gone and probably some of Canada too. Honestly the ash would be the worst part of it for the people not living near (and I use that term generously) the volcano but having to live with that would probably be worse than dying in the initial explosion. And the scary part is that while it’s not likely there will be an eruption anytime soon, if the park does decide to blow up there is really nothing we can do about it.

I’m sorry this is just something that genuinely worries me.

The Fuego stratovolcano ("volcano of fire") is one of the most active in Guatemala. It is located near the city of Antigua at an altitude of 3,763 m above sea level.
