Bachelors and their pregnant wives. Hope that you enjoy it! Bachelorettes reactions, here
ALEX
Before you get pregnant, you will enjoy your marriage as a young couple. Alex is healthy, full of energy, and has many needs. Sometimes, he will literally just see you doing your farm chores and suddenly get turned on. Are you milking a cow? Sexy. Are you sowing your crops? Hot. Did a slime try to kill you? Oh yeah, let me take care of you, babe.
Many times, your encounters will be raw and uncontrollable… until the inevitable happens—you accidentally get pregnant.
Even though it wasn’t planned, Alex will be excited and happy. He’ll start talking about how he wants his own gridball team! You have to stop him right there because there’s no way you’re giving birth to that many children!
He’ll also come up with lots of “cool names” for the baby, but they’re terrible (and honestly, they sound more like dog names). Once again, you have to step in and remind him that the baby is a human being and needs a proper name.
Determined to be a responsible adult (at least, in his own way), Alex will do his best to provide for you and the baby. He’ll take extra shifts selling ice cream, work hard to earn every possible gridball scholarship, and start taking his studies seriously to finish his degree.
At one point, you even catch him preparing for a JojaMart interview. Once again, you have to step in—this time with Sam and Shane—to stage an intervention. You remind him that he doesn’t need to ruin his life that way.
Even though some of his ideas are crazy, you appreciate his efforts and the fact that he genuinely wants to be a good father. He didn’t expect this pregnancy, and the responsibility of raising a child came sooner than planned, but through his actions, he shows you that he’s committed to being by your side and doing whatever it takes for you and the baby. That gives you a sense of security and fills you with warmth, seeing just how much he has grown.
He is definitely not like his father. He is a better man.
SEBASTIAN
Before the pregnancy, he isn’t sure if he wants to have kids or be a househusband. In fact, he never even wanted to live in Pelican Town—but then you came into his life and turned it upside down. Relationships require compromise and sacrifice, and you are more than worthy of those sacrifices.
However, as the pregnancy progresses, he will have doubts and fears about this decision. You got pregnant by accident, and he will begin to have nightmares about the future and he will smoke more often. He will try to cope with his growing anxiety in silence. He’s afraid of the changes a baby will bring to your home, of losing his independence, and of not being the kind of father a child deserves.
You notice his struggles and realize he needs reassurance. You remind him that he will be a good father, that everything will turn out fine, and that fatherhood doesn’t mean the end of his life—it’s just a new chapter. But words alone aren’t enough, so you come up with an idea.
You decided to take a break from farm work once a week and bring him to Zuzu City to connect with the urban life he craves. You know the city well, and you take him to all the best places: your favorite old café, the music store where you used to go, even a rooftop with a beautiful view of the city and the skyline.
He will enjoy it, but soon, he will realize it's not the place that matters, it’s the people he’s with, and you are an important one. The city is chaotic and noisy, a stark contrast to his own calm and introverted nature. What he once thought he wanted pales in comparison to what he now loves. He begins to see that change isn’t always a bad thing.
From that moment on, he shows more commitment. He starts reading books about parenting and accompanies you to Harvey’s clinic appointments much more often. Slowly but surely, his fears are replaced with a cautious but growing excitement.
He may not have planned for this, but he’s choosing to embrace it. And that means everything.
SAM
Before the pregnancy, he always liked children. Vincent is a good kid, and he genuinely enjoyed being the older brother. He took pride in looking out for him, teaching him little things, and playing together. And when their father was overseas, he naturally stepped into a substitute father role, helping Jodi whenever she needed support.
In fact, he developed a good relationship with Penny due to the frequent parent-teacher conferences he attended with his mother.
So when you finally tell him you want to have children, he doesn’t hesitate for a second—he’s all in. And with that decision made, well… you two won’t exactly hold back. The passion between you intensifies, and let's just say you’ll be acting like rabbits.
The moment you tell him the good news, he is ecstatic—so much so that he immediately wants to share it with everyone. He tells his parents, his brother, his friends—he simply can’t contain his excitement.
During pregnancy he starts strumming the guitar for you in the evenings creating a peaceful atmosphere that helps you relax after long days. He will attend all of Harvey’s appointments with you, asking plenty of questions about parenting and child-rearing. Determined to be a good father and househusband, he will start visiting his mother more often to learn how to cook and clean. He will be clumsy, meals will burn or being oversalty, but he will improve with time. He will also invite you to dinner at his parents’ home because, to him, this is a major family event—one that will bring joy to everyone.
ELLIOTT
Before the pregnancy, he is fully focused on his writing career. He wants to be a successful writer and spends much of his time writing, working on different stories. However, he will never neglect you he makes sure to show you how much he loves you. You will know for sure that you are his priority. You’ll find yourselves enjoying many sweet, passionate sex together.
Your pregnancy comes a little earlier than expected, but he is fully committed to being by your side. Even thought these makes him feel a whirlwind of emotions, he will be calm and he will try to make you feel the same.
As the pregnancy progresses, he becomes even sweeter and more attentive. He’s always making sure that you are taking care of yourself and that you are content. You’ll dance together most days. It will be gentle, slowly, as he holds you close and when the weather is good, he will take you to the beach, so you can enjoy a good activity and encourages you to move a little.
However, despite his calm exterior, he is deeply worried about your well-being during childbirth. He reads a lot about the process, researching everything he can to make sure you’re well prepared. He will make a lot of questions to Harvey, and he wants to know what to expect, how to support you during labor, and how to handle any unexpected situations. He’s really scared of something going wrong.
You can see his fear in his eyes, and while it’s sweet that he cares so much, you know you need to reassure him. You remind him that you are in good hands and that everything will be fine. His anxiety eases a little bit, but it will never go until the arrival of your first child.
SHANE
Before pregnancy, he was already a father, and of course, he wanted to have his own biological children with you. Jas had fulfilled his life in ways he never expected, and watching her grow up made him feel like he has a good purpose in life. Watching her milestones, like graduating from first grade, learning to write and read, talking about his friends Vincent and Leo, and being a happy little girl, made him feel some proud of himself.
He is also into certain kinks related to pregnancy, and the moment you tell him you want to have children, the excitement in his blood will run hotter. Those weeks were going to be intense, for sure! He would be all over you, eager to make it happen, taking full advantage of the situation. There was no holding back, and he would pour all his love into the process.
When your period arrived in the first month, he felt a little disappointed...but actually no, because he knew it wasn’t time to give up. You just had to keep trying, right? <3
Even during the early weeks of pregnancy, you would be intimate as if he was trying to make another baby.
But once your pregnancy became more noticeable, he would become soft, and he will be more and more tender and protective towards. "No, my angel, stay in bed, relax, read a book or watch TV, I’ll take care of everything today!" he’d say. "You have been working all day. Let me rub your feet!" This man will take any opportunity to pamper you.
And if you ever craved something, even something as random as a pineapple in the middle of the night, he would do whatever it took to get it for you. "Alright, stay here, I’ll wake Pierre up to bring you the pineapple!" he’d say with a smile, ready to do whatever he could for you.
HARVEY
Before the pregnancy, he genuinely enjoys being married. He loves sharing his life with you, and while he’s content in your relationship, he admits that he would feel more fulfilled with children around. The idea of starting a family has always been something he secretly longed for. He’s the one who brings it up first, asking you if you’re ready for parenthood.
When you agree, he feels like the happiest man on earth. The moment you tell him you’re pregnant, he hugs you tighly. He can't express enough how much he loves you.
As your pregnancy progresses, he totally gets into his "doctor mode". He will ensure that you are as healthy and comfortable as possible. He will cook nutritious meals, making sure your diet is rich in the vitamins and minerals needed for both you and the baby. You will take supplements if you need them, and he will read a lot of medicine magazines enfocused on pregnancy. He is also very keen to encourage you to do exercise with the other women in town on Tuesdays.
While he’s doing everything he can to care for you, his own responsibilities, make it difficult for him to keep up with all the house and farm chores. He feels guilty that he can’t do it all, so he proposes hiring someone to help with the farm chores. After some consideration, he suggests Shane, Robin and Marnie, as they are reliable and capable. Even though his schedule is demanding, he wants to make sure you are not neglected and that your pregnancy is as smooth and stress-free as possible.
Please, if you enjoyed it, comment, like and reblog. This helps me to grow, write and bring you more material like this. Also, I accept requests and suggestions. Thank you very much!

Under Me, So Quite New
—PART ONE: The Cabin
Rating: Explicit Pairings: Wolmeric Characters: Aymeric, Aureia (WoL) Word Count: 3,880 Summary: While attempting to steal away for a weekend, a storm downs Aureia’s airship and she and Aymeric must take refuge in an abandoned cabin. Soaked to the bone, their linkpearls disconnected, and very much alone, they take a night to fully explore the depths of their relationship. All of it. Prompt: vi. first kiss | intimacy Notes: Set during the Heavensward patches. Tags: sexual themes & mature content Parts: one • two Read on AO3
“Well, this certainly was not part of the plan. Or any plan, for that matter.”
“Don’t panic. Give me a moment to figure this out—”
“Panic? I am not panicking, I am simply making a statement—”
“Aymeric. Less statements, more quiet. Please.”
“I—”
The engine splutters and dies with a whimper.
Aureia sucks in a breath and presses her lips together, staring at the dead manacutter as if it personally insulted her. In a way, it did. Cid promised her that it was in good enough shape for this trip, and despite her plans to fly two people in a cabin built for one, it should have no problems managing the extra weight. It was the perfect vehicle to execute her plans and steal away for a night or two. No stubborn chocobos to stable (or argue with), no massive airship to manoeuvre and land. No one would be looking for it, so it would afford them some privacy as they made their way out from Ishgard.
They weren’t supposed to be flying far. Though the situation with the Warriors of Darkness has been put to rest, tensions are growing on the Gridanian border and war brews on the horizon. Neither of them are keen to leave their posts for long, yet both agreed they are in much need of time to themselves.
Actual time. No interruptions.
It was Artoirel who suggested the hunting lodge. Located in a grove in the mountains, it is close enough to the city so that the comforts of urbanity are not out of reach, but far enough away to keep it private—so private that not even his father and brother know of its existence. A bachelor’s paradise, he called it with some embarrassment, before handing over the keys. Comfortable, secluded, and with its own hot springs to boot.
Aureia is certain she knows what he uses it for, but decided it was in poor taste to tease him. He was, after all, doing them a favour—and promising to put out any fires that spring up while they’re gone.
Theoretically, it should have all gone fine.
Unfortunately, neither of them accounted for the storm.
It swept it without warning, a vortex of wind and snow and freezing rain. She dropped low, flying blind as she steered the manacutter towards solid ground. They were still high in the air when the engine began to stutter. Gritting her teeth and recalling every piece of advice Biggs and Wedge have ever given her, she fought the storm to fly the manacutter over the treeline and landed it safely on the edge of a cliff. Bundling herself up in her coat, she hopped out into the slush and hail to try to figure out what was wrong.
And then it had the audacity to die on her.
Aureia groans and presses her forearms into the side of the ship, resting her forehead against them. “You’re right,” she says finally. “This definitely wasn’t part of the plan.”
“Suggestions, then? I can call Lucia—”
“No, no, no, we can’t let them risk it coming in this storm—also I thought we agreed no linkpearls?”
“Ah… we did. But I… went back on my word. At the last moment. My apologies.”
Her lips twist, holding back a laugh. “I can’t fault you for that. I brought mine, too.”
“You did? And?”
“Dead as a doornail. Or it would be if it the static wasn’t screeching in my ear.” She sighs and pushes off the side of the manacutter, turning around to face him. He looms in the shadows of the storm, his blue cloak soaked black from the rain and snow, his expression obstructed by his hood. “I suppose we could shelter in the ship until the storm passes, but…”
“But?”
“I’d rather not risk getting swept away. I think I saw a cabin up ahead as we were coming in. Someone lives nearby.” She brushes damp hair off her forehead and flashes him a grin. “Let’s go pay them a visit.”
Grabbing her rapier and her pack, Aureia summons a small flame in the palm of her hand to light the way and sets off into the dark.
The snow is frozen and the terrain difficult. She pulls her coat tight, shivering in the cold as she tramples through the trees. More than once she trips, skating into Aymeric and nearly tumbling to the ground. Each time he catches her, steadying her until she finds her footing and prepares to press on. Despite the discomfort of being buffeted by high winds and soaked to the bone by the rain, she’s flushed with excitement. There is something about being out here with him, far away from Ishgard and all the demands it places on them.
For now, they are simply two adventurers, caught in a storm.
By the time they find shelter, they’re soaked to the bone. But her instincts were right—up the path from the manacutter lies a small wood cabin, tucked away into a forest clearing. Its windows are dark and the remains of an herb garden pokes through the slush. A depleted wood pile lies outside, ice crusted around the few logs that remain. She knocks on the door, hoping for a reply, and when she’s greeted with silence, she paces around the perimeter and bangs on the windows.
Aymeric watches her with some amusement, hiding a smile behind his collar. “I suppose someone should have answered by now,” he says as she makes another pass. “You are quite thorough.”
“I’d like to get their attention before I break through their door.”
“Break? What are…? You can’t be serious.”
“I’m not going to freeze out here in this storm.”
“This is someone’s home, is it not? We cannot go in uninvited.”
“And if there’s no one to invite us in?”
“Even if there is no one here, it would be a breach of privacy.”
“Hm.” A mischievous smile crosses her lips. She steps close to him and holds the flame between them, letting its warmth wash over them both. This is not the first time she has been grateful for her control over ambient fire-aspected aether. “Let’s go open the door.”
He glances down at her, meeting her eyes. His damp hair brushes across his forehead, dripping water down the curve of his nose. “Perhaps we should return to the manacutter—”
“I’m not walking back there in this storm. Come on!” She slips her hand into his and pulls, tugging him up the path to the cabin’s threshold. Her back hits the door and the hefty wood rattles behind her, creaking from the unexpected movement. There’s a lock here, but it’s hanging on by a thread. “No one else is here. Chances are this place is abandoned, and if it isn’t—well, then, we’ll just have to thank them later.” She flashes him a grin, ruby eyes sparkling in the light of the flickering flame. “Shall we see, then?”
He sighs. “Aureia—”
Too late. Spinning around, she presses a palm to the hefty wood and pushes.
A rusted lock snaps and the door creaks open on unoiled hinges, the screech shriek through the darkness within. Aureia steps through the threshold, tracking in snow and slush, and raises her hand high. Golden light sweeps out and chases away the darkness, illuminating the hazy outline of nearby furniture. A fireplace is tucked into the far wall, alongside a little alcove stuffed to the brim with old firewood—perhaps from the pile outside.
“Hello? Anyone home?”
Silence greets her.
“Hello?”
Once again, there is nothing but silence.
With a mischievous grin, she drops her pack and kicks off her boots, leaving them in a sopping wet pile by the door. The floorboards creak underfoot as she slips across the room, squeezing around the furniture to drop to her knees by the hearth.
A moment later, a hearty fire is roaring in the fireplace.
Aureia sits back on her haunches, delighted by her handiwork—it’s good to find other uses for her skillset outside of combat. Light spills out from the hearth, filling the cabin with a cozy golden glow. It’s small, all of the necessities packed into this single room. A couch with a pair of woollen blankets, and an old rocking chair with a well-used cushion. A thick circular rug on the floor before the hearth; despite its frayed edges, it does its best to protect against the cold floorboards. Wooden cabinets mounted on the walls. A passable kitchen in the corner, featuring a worn table that is missing its accompanying chairs. A narrow bed built into a nook in the far corner, made for Elezen proportions. An old bathtub behind a folding screen, and a powder room tucked behind a door to an alcove. She checks the taps out of curiosity, and finds water still running. How someone managed plumbing out here she doesn’t know, but perhaps they found a wellspring.
A few pictures decorate the wooden walls, their subjects and frames dark with age. And books—everywhere she looks there’s a hoard of books, spilling out from their bookcases and stacked on any spare surface.
Whoever lived here must have loved this place.
Aureia extends her hands, warming them over the fire. “Come in and warm up, Aymeric,” she calls. “Don’t freeze out there on account of your stubbornness.”
“It’s not stubbornness, it’s politeness.”
“Stubborn politeness, then.”
“We do not know whose home this is. As I said before, I am not keen to trespass.”
She wriggles her nose, holding back a laugh. “I think whoever owns this place would rather you trespass indoors than freeze to death on their doorstep,” she replies, glancing over her shoulder. Aymeric’s tall form lingers on the threshold, his profile half in shadow. “Besides, I have a feeling it’s been left alone for some time.”
“Are you certain of that?”
“No. But call it a hunch based on observation.”
“This feels like an intrusion.”
“And weren’t you the one saying a while ago that you wished for an adventure? What’s more adventurous than getting lost in a storm and finding an abandoned cabin in the mountains?”
He sighs and takes a step inside, the light passing across his pale face. His blue eyes brighten, his concerns vanishing in the warmth of the hearth. “When you put it like that…” A soft smile tugs at the corner of his lips. “I suppose I can’t disagree.”
She laughs, threading her fingers in her lap as she watches him remove his cloak and hang it up on a hook. His clothes, like hers, are drenched underneath. He paces the length of the room, curiously inspecting the books on the wall as he brushes water out of his hair, and presses his hand to his ear, checking his linkpearl. She waits patiently, becoming increasingly aware of the uncomfortable way her damp clothes cling to her body, and raises a hand to check her own.
Static crackles in her ear.
She plucks the linkpearl out and shoves it in her pocket. “Anything?” she asks as he wanders over to the kitchen.
He shakes his head. “Nothing,” he replies. “Yours?”
“Nothing. I believe we are on our own.”
Aureia smiles. “That was the plan, wasn’t it?” she asks, rising to her feet. Working quickly, she peels off her outer layer and tosses it aside, then quickly pulls her tunic off over her head. It isn’t until she’s dug her stiff fingers through her trousers’ laces that she notices him staring at her. “What? What are you looking at?”
Aymeric chuckles and rests his palms on the table, leaning over it as he looks her up and down. “Divesting yourself of clothing so soon?” he asks, eyebrow raised. “Well, well.”
She blows a raspberry. “You’ve changed your tune,” she says, pulling the laces free. She shucks off her trousers, the nape of her neck prickling pleasurably as his gaze sweeps over her bare legs and ass. Somehow, even after all the moons they have spent together, there is something about watching him watching her that makes her tremble in the best of ways. “Are you perhaps beginning to like this place after all?”
“I am beginning to consider that there are more benefits to being in here than there are to staying out there.”
With a wet thump, her trousers join the rest of her clothes on the pile. “Well, it’s no forbidden Artoirel bachelor hunting lodge in the woods, but I think it will do just fine.” Her underthings go next, and soon she is standing naked as her nameday in front of the hearth. Scooping the whole sopping bundles of clothing into her arms, she saunters over to the bathtub, kicks the folding screen open, and gets to work squeezing the extra water out.
He pauses, his gaze trained on her. For a moment, there is nothing but the crackle of the hearth, the roar of rain lashing against the windows, the thunder of hail crashing against the roof. The sound of water dripping into the tub, and the slow, steady inhalation and exhalation of her breath as she works. As she finishes squeezing water from the last article of clothing, he rounds the table, the floorboards creaking beneath his weight as he approaches her.
“Just fine?” Aymeric murmurs, sliding an arm around her waist from behind.
Aureia pauses, her heart fluttering in her chest. She tilts her head and closes her eyes, her tunic limp in her hands, enjoying the sensation of him behind her. “Just fine,” she echoes softly. “I—”
He kisses her, open and warm and fervent. She groans against his lips as his tongue slips into her mouth, a flush of heat coursing through her from his touch. His grip on her tightens and he pulls her back into him, and the sudden cold of being pressed against his damp clothes has her wriggling with discomfort.
“Ugh,” she says, drawing away. “Take your clothes off.”
He chuckles. “Making demands already?”
“If you want to kiss me, take your clothes off.”
“As my lady commands.”
He releases her, but does not step away. She stands still, a delighted shiver prickling the nape of her neck as he moves behind her, bumping gently into her as he removes his clothing. Outerwear, tunic, belts, trousers… One by one, he reaches around her and tosses them into the tub, his arm brushing hers each time. She inhales a sharp breath, trembling from the cold and the sensuality of his proximity, heat rushing through her as he finishes disrobing. He snags his hands around her waist, palms pressed flat against her belly, and pulls her into him. She gasps in surprise as his cock brushes her ass, almost as if she has only now realized that he has removed every bit of clothing, but there is no time to ponder on it further. He bends, damp hair falling about his face, and captures her mouth with his.
The kiss leaves her trembling and shaking and falling further into his arms.
He holds her upright, his lips wandering from her mouth to her jaw, following the arc of her features up to her ear. “Gone, as you desired,” he murmurs. “Is this better?”
“Mhm.”
He slides a hand over her hip and skates it across her inner thigh. His cock throbs, pressing firmly against her ass.
She reaches up, sliding her fingers through his hair, and pulls him down for a kiss. “Go sit by the fire and get warm,” she whispers throatily. “I’ll join you in a minute.”
He chuckles. Giving her a lingering kiss, he draws back and lets her go. She bends and fetches his clothing from the bottom of the tub, watching him out of the corner of her eye, unable to hide her smile as she wring out the excess water. He grabs a blanket and wraps it around his shoulders, then sits quietly in front of the hearth with one leg pulled up and the other tucked beneath him. There is an ethereal beauty about him here, from the way the firelight fans warms his skin to a healthy glow, to how his damp hair falls pleasantly across his forehead, to the way the blanket drapes around his body. He is beautiful—he has always been beautiful, she knows that—but perhaps it’s the simplicity of this moment that takes her breath away.
Her heart twinges. Though they tried to keep their relationship private for as long as possible, nothing remains private in Ishgard for long. Somehow, the news got out that the Lord Commander and the Warrior of Light are attached, though by now she has heard several different accounts of what that actually means from Hilda. Some say they are courting with intentions to marry. Some say she seduced him as a political ploy, forcing him into marriage because she is pregnant with is child. Some say they are a romance doomed for failure, for how could their dear Speaker of the House of Lord be interested in a “mongrel bitch of a foreigner”? That one got sparked a laugh out of her, though Hilda was seeing red.
It sets her teeth on edge to think of it. Regardless of what the rumours are, their relationship was always going to be shoved and pressed through the ruthless machinery that is Ishgardian gossip. All they can do now is close their doors to the noise, shut it out as best they can. The people will talk about matters they know nothing about, but it’s just that—talk.
She finishes his overshirt and hangs it across the rim of the tub. Sometimes she wonders who they would be without the weight of their stations pressing down on them. She didn’t choose him for his beauty or his station, or any of the reasons the Ishgardian gossipers would believe. If she wanted someone on their looks alone, she could have very well fucked Thancred in that alleyway the night everything seemed to be going wrong. But she doesn’t and she didn’t, and—considering everything that has unfolded—she is thankful now that she had the sense to walk away.
It was the best decision she could have made for herself.
Some days she cannot make sense of it. Love and attraction, these things that seem so intrinsically tied on the surface and yet can be worlds apart underneath. She has come a long way in understanding herself, but there are still moments where she catches herself off-guard—where the very words she uses to describe what she feels are never right but she has nothing else to use.
She loves him—for his kindness, his understanding, his patience, his compassion. She loves him for the way he makes her feel safe, the one person who can see her at her most vulnerable and not be tempted to hurt her.
She loves the physical intimacy of their relationship—not for the sex exactly, but for how it brings her closer to him. Unlike how most of the world seems to treat it, sex is not necessary for her to be fulfilled. But she does enjoy it, and she enjoys the way he enjoys it even more. Somehow this thing that is so impossible to describe has become both the most important and least important thing about them.
A strange feeling flutters in her stomach, something akin to shame. Or guilt, maybe. No matter how they leave each other satisfied, there is still something missing from their intimate lives. Something many would consider important—vital, even—for a man like him and a woman like her to do. But no matter how many times they’ve tried, her body simply refuses to allow anything more than a finger within her. The pain is one thing, but the physical sensation of her body blocking itself off when she very much does not want it to…
It can bring her to tears if she thinks about it too much.
It was a startling discovery their first night together, one that left her devastated and wracked her with guilt no matter how understanding he was. They’ve done their best—and Hilda near talked her ear off with far too much intimate advice that she flushes even thinking about—but even with the slowest approach and even a—as Hilda, again, put it—“less girthy substitute” to help, the pain has only been eased a little. He has told her, again and again, that it’s not important to him, but…
She has come to understand that it is important to her.
Rain lashes against the window, startling her out of her reverie. Shaking herself, she hangs up the last piece of his clothing and pads across the cabin to join him by the fire.
“Where were you?” he murmurs huskily, cupping her face with his hand as she sweeps into his embrace. “It has been more than a minute.”
She crawls between his legs, one hand pressed into the rug to support her weight. “Lost in thought,” she replies, her lips a hair’s breadth from his in a teasing kiss. “I’m here now.”
“Mhm. Are you?”
“I am.”
“Then…”
She kisses him fully now, lips crushed to his, tongue slipping into his mouth. He groans, kissing her back, and grips her about the waist, pulling her closer—
He pulls back suddenly, hissing in pain.
She stops short and sits back, a hand resting gently on his forearm. “Are you all right?” she asks.
He chuckles behind his grimace. “Old wound,” he replies, reaching over his shoulder. His fingers dig into his skin, attempting to massage out the pain. “Shoulder. It stiffens in foul weather, if the storm comes on suddenly. It has been quite some time since it has bothered me, I often forget it is there.”
Her gaze follows the movement of his fingers, an idea forming in her mind. “It’s not just the old wound,” she murmurs, catching his eye. “You’re stiff all over. Too much deskwork is bad for your back, you know.”
“Too much sparring is for yours.”
“I don’t spar too much—”
“You’re in the training grounds morning and night, Aureia, often with one new weapon or another. Perhaps if you limited yourself to one or two I wouldn’t have to be so concerned about your back.”
She gives him a flat look. “This is about you,” she says with a mock pout, prodding him in the chest with a finger. “Not me. And I have something that can make your shoulder feel better.” She leans in close, lips brushing his ear. “Much better.”
He chuckles throatily and turns his head, nuzzling her neck. “I’m open to it.”
“Lie down. I’ll be right back.”
She kisses him quickly and rises to her feet, her hand still caught between his fingers. He stares up at her in utter rapture, his gaze refusing to break contact as he raises her hand to his lips and presses a kiss to it. She snorts, muffling a laugh, and pulls back, her fingers slowly parting from his as she steps away.
A mischievous smile spreads across her face as she turns her back on him, heart pounding with excitement.

Also how old are the Stan twins by the time Dipper and Mabel are 12? I’m assuming they’re in college but feel free to correct me.
By the time Dipper and Mabel are 12, the Stan Twins are out of college(technically). If we place the AU in 2024(they were born in 2003) they're already 21, and considering that most undergraduate programs could typically last 2-6 years- their undergrad courses (BSBA[Bachelor of Science in Business Administration] for Stan and BS(CMB)[Bachelor of Science in Biology with specialization in Cell and Molecular Biology] for Ford) are 4 year courses. They haven't been delayed or are late in any educational progress so they've only got a year left of undergrad.
They study in Graviton University Oregon, because I didn't have gravity falls "exist" technically. The town exists and that's where the university is, just more urbanized and without any of the wtf weird creatures that reside in the town from canon.
By the way, the niblings haven't been born yet considering that Shermie isn't even married yet. I plan on Shermie getting married by new year of 2025 and settling down in Piedmont with his girl, and the niblings will be born the year after around the same time the Stan Twins finally finish undergrad.
That's not the last of it though since they both still plan on moving up to masters and Ford wants to get a Phd(he starts with one and then starts collecting them like Pokémon) and it's mostly where they diverge paths as Stan throws himself into more of accounting/enterprenurial and Ford into researcher/biologist.
I don't really think Stan uses his knowledge on business too much at the start however since I do plan on him being scouted for a sports team(Haven't decided between basketball or baseball yet) before he graduates and while building his career as an athlete he finishes his masters(he takes 3 years to do it instead of the usual 2).
Ford had his fun in undergrad, so he fully commits to studying at this point and like in canon is pretty damn advanced compared to the rest of his peers. The curriculum and subject weights have definitely shifted from canon but I still do think it would only more or less take him 7-8 years to get his first doctorate.
By the time the niblings are 12, the Stan twins are 34, Sherm's 42.
Stan's spotlight as an athlete is waning and he's mostly helping run Fidds' family business, he's practically acting CEO in Fidds' place and is very comfortable with the pay he's getting. Stan wasn't really hardcore into sports anyway, he just took the opportunity because it presented itself to him and frankly he's okay with that. He starts drawing comics again as a hobby and with Fidds' help eventually becomes a comic-book artist part time since a businessman is his main gig post sports stardom. Much like some iconic artists and writers in DC and marvel, he ends up joining them when people like the series he puts out and the more "retro" artstyle.
Ford is making innovations left and right in the realm of genetics and biotechnology ever since graduating at 30 and he's got Fidds and Bill to help him with the more techy parts of his work. Ford hasn't stopped studying entirely though and honestly collects honorary PhDs to keep himself well rounded, not to mention he consistently attends seminars or science conferences to keep on top of the newest discoveries or updates to what's going on in the world. It wasn't his dream or intention of becoming one of the "greats" that go down in history but he really might at his pace, it's not something he thinks or cares about though.
You could argue that their life is practically being fast-tracked here but honestly, I think the pace fits them. It's a lot less chaotic compared to canon but considering how driven these two are, I think it's a pretty comfortable pace.
By the way, despite the busy life and all that- Ford tries his best to go to all of Stan's games live even when Shermie or Caryn miss it, despite the fact he doesn't really know anything that's going on just which team his brother's playing and if he's winning. Similarly, when Ford is called to give conferences to explain his findings or research Stan is more than happy to fly out to where he is and sit in just to give his support despite not knowing a damn or understanding whatever the hell his brother is talking about LOL
They're still very close considering that they didn't ever have a fight that tore them apart, they respected each other's wishes and interests and just talked. They always talked. I suppose that's ultimately what makes the big difference.

It Was Always You
Summary- Despite Jack's marriage to Amber, you and Jack make confessions to each other that you probably shouldn't.
Warnings- Cheating

Amber scowled at you and Jack from the side of the stage. Jack had just gotten done with soundcheck, and you and Jack were dancing in the middle of the stage, Jack was twirling you around as you both laughed.
You and Jack were childhood best friends, you were inseparable from the day you met. Through elementary school, middle school, high school, and even after, it was you and Jack against the world. Urban was there too, but you and Jack just connected in a way that was extra special.
Jack met Amber through his record label, in fact her parents were high up in the company. They hit it off, and it wasn’t long before they started dating. At the beginning of their relationship, Amber didn’t like you. In fact, you could go as far as saying she hated you. She was jealous of your relationship with Jack and how close you two were. There were still times she wasn’t the biggest fan of your relationship, like right now. She thought that instead of you and Jack dancing together, it should be her and Jack. Maybe she was right though, she was his wife after all.
Jack loved Amber, but their relationship was complicated to say the least. The fact that her parents had so much control of the company that had power over his career, was stressful for Jack. As much as he did love Amber, he probably wouldn’t have married her. He knew they didn’t have the power to actually mess with his career, they didn’t have that much power, but it still created a dynamic of their relationship that was difficult to manage.
Jack also loved you, more than he loved Amber. He had loved you as long as he could remember, but he didn’t realize it until he moved to Atlanta. You stayed in Louisville, and the time apart was what he needed to realize he loved you. You would FaceTime every night, until one of you fell asleep. You two did that for months, over that time, you also realized you loved Jack.
Neither of you wanted to take the chance of ruining your relationship, so neither of you acted on your new-found love. Jack met Amber while he was in Atlanta, and they moved back to Louisville together. Jack proposed after about a year and a half of him and Amber dating.
It wasn’t until Urban through Jack a bachelor that your relationship with Jack went further. You both got a little bit too drunk, you ended up in the same hotel room, alone, and one thing led to another, and you woke up in the same bed.
It wasn’t that Jack didn’t feel guilty, he did. He didn’t want to cheat on Amber, but he did. Jack did love Amber, but he loved you more. He never had the intention to cheat on her, but the two of you had explored other sides of your relationship, it was difficult to stop. So you didn’t, even years later.
Amber caught Jack’s eye as his laughing stopped.
“Hey, I’ll see you later, okay? I promised Amber after sound check we’d go get food and walk around the city a little bit,” Jack told you and you nodded.
“If I don’t see you before the show, good luck, you’re going to do amazing like you always do. I’ll see you after the show for sure.”
Jack nodded, hugging you for a second longer than two people who were just friends would hug. Jack let you go before walking over to Amber.
You saw Jack briefly before the show, but everyone was around and Amber was right by Jack’s side all night. You, Urban, Jack, and a couple other people went out after the show, but Amber didn’t want to go, so she went back to the hotel.
You all stayed out longer than you planned, so when it was time to go back to the hotel, Jack didn’t want to wake Amber up, so he texted her to tell her he was staying in Urban’s room since he had two beds. Instead, Jack ended up in your room.
You were both exhausted, so you almost immediately ended up in bed.
“Did I tell you what happened earlier?” Jack asked.
“No, what happened?” You asked, turning to your side to face Jack.
“Amber and I got in a stupid fucking fight and I couldn’t even tell you what it was about because I’m honestly not sure if there was a reason,” Jack said, playing with the ends of your hair as he talked.
“Again? Really? I feel like she just picks fights sometimes just to do it.”
“I’m glad it’s not just me who thinks that. I don’t know, we never used to fight, I don’t know why it’s gotten so much worse recently.”
“I’m sorry, she hasn’t said anything to me recently about your relationship.”
“You don’t have anything to apologize for,” Jack said, pulling you closer to his side.
“It’s probably just the stress of the tour, I’m sure it will get better once we are all home.”
“If we make it that long,” Jack muttered.
“What makes you think that your marriage won’t last until the end of tour?”
“I don’t know,” Jack sighed, pulling the blanket over you two. “I just, our relationship feels different.” Before you could respond, your phone rang.
“It’s Amber,” You said, signaling Jack to be quiet before you answered. “Hey, what’s up.”
“I just woke up, and I wanted to make sure everyone got back safe, Jack wasn’t answering the phone, so I thought I’d call you,” Amber said.
“Yeah, I think Jack’s phone died, but we all got back about 30 minutes ago,” You said.
“Oh okay,” Amber hesitated. “Jack’s with Urban, right?”
“Yeah, he is,” You lied, Jack buried his head into your neck.
“Okay. I don’t know, something just feels off, not only tonight, but for a while now. I’m probably just overthinking. I’ll let you go to sleep, and I’m going to go back to sleep. I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“See you tomorrow,” You said before hanging up. “I think she knows something’s up.”
“I mean, does it fucking matter anymore,” Jack muttered.
“I thought you loved Amber?” You asked.
“I did love her. Over time, I’ve just fallen out of love with her. She’s a nice person, but I’ve realized it’s always been you. I’ve always been in love with you. Since we were teenagers. I was just always too scared to tell you. I’ve always regretted that.” Jack admitted. He wasn’t sure why he was admitting it now, in a hotel room with his wife a few rooms over.
“I’ve always been in love with you too.”

WIP Weekend
This is so late! I got an email back from a part-time job I applied to. It's nothing big, just being a DM for a gaming store's youth group, but I still! And the email implied that if I nailed the interview the job was mine. So, I guess I zoned out from nerves for most of the day, lol.
Anyway, rules are the same as they are always, but if you're new here then send me an emoji from the list and I'll write three sentences for the fic then share it here. Send as many as you want. There's no limit. I'll probably answer them tomorrow night since I'm going to go see Superman with my family in the morning.

“Everything okay?” Wayne asked.
“You’ll be late for work if I go into the whole thing,” Eddie mumbled without raising his head from the table.
“Always got time for my favorite nephew.”
“Your only nephew.”
“Doesn’t change the fact that you’re my favorite.”
Eddie weighed his options and knew that Wayne wouldn’t leave until he told him what was the matter. He could barely believe Wayne was related to his dad since the two were like night and day. It made Eddie realize that he hadn’t been appreciative enough of the care that Wayne gave him since Wayne didn’t have to turn his bachelor pad into a home. Wayne could’ve made Eddie sleep on the cot instead of giving him the trailer’s sole room. If Wayne was making time for him then the least Eddie could do was not waste his uncle’s time by beating around the bush.
“Fine.” Eddie raised his head to look at Wayne, not certain where to begin. “So, there’s this guy at school-”
Wayne raised a curious eyebrow. “Oh?”
“Not like! We’re friends, I guess? Possibly. But the thing is I keep ruining his life when all I’m trying to do is save it!”
“You’re just being melodramatic.”
“No, I’m not! I accidentally made the basketball team throw this huge party at this guy’s house! Then when I was trying to get in and caught him in the middle of a big fight with his girlfriend! Well, ex-girlfriend. He was planning on breaking up with her anyway, but she just smashed his heart in the process, and I don’t know... None of this would be happening if I hadn’t pushed things along!”
“Did he tell you that you were ruining his life?”
“No, I guess not.” Eddie paused as he rubbed the back of his neck. “Just what if me trying to help him makes things worse for him? I just want to save his life, but right now, I think I’m doing a pretty shit job convincing him life is worth living!”

Help a trans guy follow his education dreams!
Three months ago, I had to quit my job due to medical reasons. I had savings to help protect me at this time but unfortunately, I was deemed ineligible for disability. In pursuing a better life for myself, I have decided to return to school.
I am reaching out to the Tumblr community to raise $700 to ease the transition period. This will help me procure an ID, pay off medical debt, and get school supplies! Once I move, I will have access to an on-campus job...it's all about getting there first!
Please help a black, trans, queer man follow his dreams of finally (finally!) finishing my bachelor's in urban planning and policy.
As always, please donate to fundraisers of any Palestinian and Sudanese person and/or families before me. Asante sana!

i'm not sure if you have already answered a question like this... but this is a two parter so buckle up! i'm a high school senior (in the US) and i'm very uncertain about my future and need a nice big GOAL to push for. right now i think urban planning is it. i'm hoping your answers might clear some stuff up for me.
number 1- what got you into urban planning/urban design? was it something you saw in your community? at what age did you realize this? what kinds of things did you do when you were younger that you realize now could have indicated your future interest in this career path?
number 2- materials. do you have a list of literature, articles, resources, or creators that you like to go to for indulging personal interests in urban planning/design. this can include university assigned literature too ofc, i'm just wondering if you have any recs of materials to consume that could kind of point me in the right direction. (aka help me see if my current interest is real by seeing if i'm geniunely interested in literature on the subject of urban design)
anyways, ik that was a long one!!! pls take your time 😭 and cool sideblog you have just gained a follower :)
hi pluto! no worries about the length, I have a science degree so I'm used to 2000 word papers ahaha (this is not to brag btw it was a pain in the ass the whole time I studied it, would only recommend if it's your jam)
so glad to hear you have a goal and I get that feeling! tbh when I look at the many multifaceted things I want to make a difference in, being able to do something that influences people's lives in such a fundamental and behind-the-scenes kind of way really keeps me going.
OKAY so the thing that got me into this was actually permaculture! when I was your age we did a geography unit on feeding the world while conserving the environment, and, for context, my high school also had what was basically an accelerated design program at the time (totally by accident, one dedicated teacher and my grade who were Very Into this kind of thing). basically, back to geography, where that unit landed was
"Permaculture is a design system for the creation of socially, economically and ecologically sustainable settlements, whether in rural areas or metropolitan cities.” – Bill Mollison
and I was like! aha! design! see at this point, roughly 7 years ago, urban design wasn't that big of a field yet (most degrees in it have only popped up in the last decade or so) and so I thought a career in design at that point meant one of three options that didn't really appeal to me: architecture/ landscape architecture / interior design, industrial design/ engineering, or graphic design/animation. BUT!! on this day I was proven wrong!! because the definition in itself said design! and it was about being socially, economically and ecologically sustainable so I'd get to do Social Justice Things and Environment and Biology Things as well as use my knowledge of smallholder farming and business running from my side gig of breeding guinea fowls. At that point I knew what I wanted to do! I looked up permaculture degrees, and found nothing at a university level--which I knew I wanted to study because to understand the planet and our design needs, I thought I needed a lot more education.
Instead I applied to a bachelors of environmental science at several universities in Australia. The employment prospects were good, and I did biology in high school, and climate change was a Big Talking Point I thought I'd do well to understand a bit better. As well as ecology--living in Queensland at the time, it's one of the most rapid areas of land clearing. Urban design came later; for my fourth year I was required to do a year-long research project and write a thesis on it. There was a lot of emphasis on choosing something you know you can do for an entire year, and at this point I had three and a half years of backlogged ideas on how to make changes to our civilisations to be better for the environment, so I knew I wanted to do something that would allow me to express them in design. One of my capstone subjects was one on river catchments, and in it we studied something called water sensitive urban design. I arranged a crossover project between my lecturer for that subject and someone from the school of design at my university I later found out was the course coordinator of the master of urban design. She suggested this degree to me, and I enrolled--just at a different university to where I did my undergrad. tbh, it's everything I wanted at 17 when I wanted to design human scale civilisations that incorporate the principles of permaculture. I only wish working in the industry was more activism-led and less following a status quo that has historically been terrible for the environment and nonwhite people, and is making much too slow progress to remedy this.
PART 2: okay this will be a short one because I am that student who literally NEVER does any of their readings. I do them, eventually, at the end of my degree (like I did for environmental science) where I just save all the links and read through EVERYTHING for my entire degree at once. so I could not tell you what the good readings are. HOWEVER I want to push something: this field is NOT about reading. it is rooted in science, yes, but unlike something like biology it is a much more applied science. At its core, it is about problem-solving and innovation. It's about listening to your users. It's about holding their perspectives and their longings, and that of the land as well. It's about listening and creating. So I want to ask you these questions: 1) can you draw, whether on paper or digitally? Can you visualise things in your head and then translate that to a document? 2) can you collate several genres of information (planning law, ecology, social needs of MANY groups of people, stakeholder conditions, hydrology, the user experience, just to name a few) and use this to create a solution that covers all bases? and 3) can you listen to the land and the stories it tells, and would like to tell? Have you listened to you local Indigenous community about who they were before colonisation, how they feel now, and what they want to be? Are you ready to be the person who helps them see that vision? Are you ready to be the person who helps us see a vision of less traffic, of low carbon lifestyles, of being outdoors and meeting each other in peace?
I'll put up some links for reading sometime down the line when I hunt down where I saved them all to, but the reason I tend away from making this discipline too academic is because you're designing for the everyday person. You're not designing only for the small percentage who are capable of having academic conversations. You need to understand what someone on the street is saying behind their words, at least as much as you need to understand something some academic wrote in a paper or a book or even a council website. You're here to listen to the marginalised, listen to the need for connection of the wealthy who are hiding it behind accumulating things, and then have those perspectives in mind when you build up a collection of tools on how to make those needs a reality.
#ariel lore#asks#silver studies urban design#urban design#environmental science#permaculture#careers in urban design#careers in urban planning#pluto#the thing about creators is. they're creating already. it's good to see what they're doing yes but you want to create for the people who#aren't. whose voices aren't being heard

tell me more about the degree you’re thinking of studying!! I did enviro sci first and managed to randomly meet a bunch of people doing academics at the crossover of these fields (as a random aside) but I’m super keen to hear what your ambition for it is!
My undergrad is a Bachelor of Environmental Studies in Planning, with an honours specialization in Environmental Planning and Management. I'm looking at University of Guelph's Master of Rural Planning, so I can get a better grasp of Watershed Planning more broadly, its intersection with ecological farming BMPs and impacts on waterways, and the ecological preservation of urban and rural areas. I think Community Planning Permit System By-laws can be a better tool than traditional zoning for lanscape-based Planning beyond political boundaries.

Introduction: The Rise of Natural Healing in Modern India
In recent years, India has witnessed a dramatic shift in how people approach their health and wellness. With a strong cultural foundation in Ayurveda and alternative medicine, it's no surprise that homeopathy has surged in popularity. Especially in urban centers like Hyderabad, educated and health-conscious individuals aged 18 to 60—from young couples preparing for marriage to busy entrepreneurs—are now actively seeking holistic treatment options. The city, known for its tech-savvy citizens and booming health sector, has become a hub for premium Homeopathy Clinics in Hyderabad.
Choosing the right clinic is not just a matter of proximity or cost—it's about trusting a medical philosophy that aligns with your health goals. If you’re one of the thousands searching for the best Homeopathy Clinic in Hyderabad, this comprehensive guide is for you.
Why Homeopathy is Gaining Ground in India
Expert Insight:
"Homeopathy focuses on treating the root cause rather than masking the symptoms. It’s gentle, non-invasive, and ideal for long-term wellness," says Dr. Meenal Roy, a senior homeopathy specialist in Hyderabad.
Statistical Support:
According to a 2023 survey by the Ministry of AYUSH, over 50 million Indians currently use homeopathic treatment, with 78% reporting high satisfaction. Hyderabad ranks among the top five cities in India for homeopathy consultations.
Key Factors to Consider When Choosing a Homeopathy Clinic in Hyderabad
1. Qualified Practitioners with Experience
Ensure the clinic is run by certified professionals with BHMS (Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery) degrees.
Look for practitioners with at least 5–10 years of experience in treating diverse conditions—especially chronic issues like allergies, skin disorders, and reproductive health.
Tip: Search for testimonials or video reviews online to validate the practitioner's reputation.
2. Clinic Infrastructure & Hygiene Standards
Modern facilities signal professional standards and hygiene. Clinics with digital records, modern waiting rooms, air purification, and private consultation rooms offer a better experience.
3. Personalized Treatment Plans
Unlike conventional medicine, homeopathy emphasizes individuality. Choose clinics that offer customized treatment plans rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.
4. Online Consultations and Digital Follow-Ups
With India’s digital boom, many top Homeopathy Clinics in Hyderabad now offer video consultations, especially useful for busy professionals and NRIs.
5. Location and Accessibility
Consider how far you’ll need to travel for follow-up appointments. Clinics near metro stations or tech hubs like Gachibowli, Madhapur, or Hitec City are ideal for working professionals.
6. Transparent Pricing & Packages
Avoid clinics that are vague about their pricing. Look for those offering:

small town country carmrich anon here. you have taken my seed of a thought and made it a prosperous tree. carmy mostly works on his family farm, but goes to the jerimovich’s on the weekends for some extra pay. richie tries to sneak a peak at him through the kitchen window as carmy pulls his shirt up to wipe at his forehead. carmy is transfixed by the way richie’s jeans fit so snug as he bends deeper inside the hood of his pickup to fix it up.
anon your mind is so beautiful … i might have to write something for this… like..
carmy is in college and home for the summer and donna tells him to pay rent or get out so he comes to the jerimovich’s looking for work. richie is reluctant (he has bigger fish to fry than worrying if the city boy will lose a finger in the thresher) but he’s a bachelor again and, yeah, he could use some help with the livestock. and the kid’s a pretty hard worker, even if he does try to talk richie’s ear off about urban planning or whatever the fuck. and there’s been a few long nights with the newborn calves that richie was positive weren’t gonna make it but it turns out carmy has good instincts about those things too. and it’s probably, definitely, not appropriate but richie can’t help it if his mind starts to wander after so many months of being alone. goddamn. the summer’s ending and they both know it and carmy is finding all these reasons to hang out till late in the night and richie learns that the kid makes a pretty mean shepherd’s pie but, jesus, it’s not like he can just come out and say what he feels. that’s not how these things work.

As an Environmental Entrepreneur
My ideal role as an environmental entrepreneur is to pursue a career in urban planning. In a time where new developments are constantly in the works and technology is improving at a rapid pace, environmental sustainability and preservation often gets overlooked. Growing up in Toronto, I always noticed the sheer quantity of construction going on at all times as well as the heavy traffic that occurred every single day. While traffic and construction are inevitable in urban areas, there are plenty of improvements that can be made to promote sustainability and advocating for the environment. I would like to aid in designing developments, such as homes, offices, parks, and malls to be sustainable and aesthetically pleasing. By using my skills to develop urban areas, I could benefit communities and cities to create a more eco-friendly environments and reduce the amount of pollution emitted by highly urbanized areas.
The role of urban planner can have a wide array of duties that would be taken on day to day. The job may entail research, engaging with communities, developing policies, architectural design, transportation planning, collaboration with stakeholders, outsourcing for specialists, and marketing and promotion of sustainable urban planning. Although many activities go into the everyday lives of urban planners, the overall goal is the create sustainable urbanization.
My ideal location for workers as an urban planner would be Toronto. It is an urban area in need of more sustainability, plus my family lives there and I'm family with the city. To become an urban planner in Ontario, I will need a bachelors degree in either urban and regional planning, architecture, geography, engineering, or a related discipline (job bank, 2023). I may also need a masters degree in one of those disciplines (job bank, 2023). I will then need to become a member in the Canadian Institute of Planners, and a certification from the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (job bank, 2023). Some of the recommended skills include evaluation, critical thinking, management of financial resources, problem solving, reading, writing, and oral communication (job bank, 2023). Recommended personal attributed include collaboration, innovation, attention to detail, adaptability, leadership and independence (job bank, 2023). It is also recommended to be knowledgable in mathematics and water resources (job bank, 2023).
