It's just the lineart in a bigger format of the group photo. I am still learning how to color (that's why I am just posting the lineart) and make art in general, but I have decided long time ago that sometimes you should just go and do your best :D

Are you mad people took your work for TikTok

Not at all!

If anything, I was super flattered. Someone liked it enough to spread it over there.

I only encountered two of my works so far on TikTok, and sadly, on January 19th, my country is going to block the app, which likely means they will be the only ones I'll see.

The two did use my blog name, and people in the comments were telling each other where to find my work, so that's all I care about.

I don't mind just as long as my username is visible since it credits me.

That goes for all my Tumblr work. Just as long as I'm credited, there is blanket permission to use my work as prompts or add on to them.

The only thing I don't allow is you taking my work from here and posting it on Ao3 word for word. I'm cool with "Inspired by" fics, but I had a friend whose work was stolen once since he didn't have an Ao3, and someone published them under their name. It got so bad he deactivated his tumblr (I miss you, Blueray).

Obi-Wan, in his Mandalorian disguise, runs into Tor Vizsla, defeats him, accidentally not accidentally kills him a little, and runs with the Darksaber, Death Watch hot on his heels. When he’s managed to lose the pursuit, he comms Jango (I don’t know how, a galactic phonebook?).

Obi-Wan: Fight me.

Jango: What.

Obi-Wan: Fight me. I’ll pay you.

Jango: … Why.

Obi-Wan: I need you to take the Darksaber off of my hands and get the Death Watch off of my tail.

Jango: …

Jango: What happened to Vizsla?

Obi-Wan: I might have accidentally killed him. A little bit. Um.

Jango: Okay. Sure. Whatever.

Later:

Obi-Wan’s Mandalorian alias: Dies heroically in single combat against Jango Fett.

Jango, to Death Watch: Anyone else? No? Now can we sort out this mess or what?

Obi-Wan: I have politically informed suggestions! With footnotes and economic analyses! Uh, if you want them I guess?

Jango, sighing: Why the hell not.

Even later:

Obi-Wan, sighing dreamily at Jango: He’s so much handsomer than Satine! And his arguments are better! And his solutions are realistic!! Too bad he’s never going to ask me to stay.

Jango, having a politics-related headache: Obi-Wan! You got me into this kriffing mess! You’re not going anywhere before you’ve helped me fix it, or so help me Stars.

Much, much later:

Jango, angrily: Obi-Wan! This is your mess, you sort it out!

Obi-Wan: Darling, this mess started way after you became the Mand’alor. Technically, it’s your mess.

Jango, sulkily: … I don’t care. As long as I have political messes for you to sort out, you’re going to stay.

Obi-Wan: I do love your messes.

Modern Au where Luo Binghe is a model and Shen Yuan is a fashion designer/porn model

Shen yuan had taken a Orphaned teen under his wing when he was running late to a show, he had found him cowering next to a dumpster, Shen yuans mommy instincts kicked in and next thing he knows he’s bringing a child to his fashion show.

This child— who called himself Luo Binghe — was mesmerized by both the play and Shen Yuan. Everyone took pictures of him and the boy and news spread that he took in a muse.

After asking Luo Binghe, he accepted it graciously.

Que 3 years of him mentoring him for the runway, aswell as designing clothes to fit his white lotus look. Luo Binghe is obsessed with how Shen Yuan looked when he dolls him up and how he praises everthing about him. Luo Binghe is not ashamed to show his love for him

However, Shen yuan, always in the back burner of his own show doesn’t, believe people like him for himself, just for everything else, so he just patted his head and ‘ accepted ‘ his praise much to Luo Binghes anguish.

One day when Luo Binghe was 17 Shen yuan was called to a meeting with the most important heads of the Fashion industry. He thought he might have gotten a new deal with Luo Binghe becuase when his baby fat vanished everyone was going crazy over his looks and how good he looks in the many clothes he models in.

But instead they say how now that Luo Binghe is aging, they want him to put a more “ sexy look “ to his clothes, but Shen yuan was known for his elegant and non sexual style so he was never going to do that.

They already knew that and told him Luo Binghe is better in the hands of the modeling industry, and they already got a huge payout to hand him off. Motified shen yuan begged for them to changed their minds but since they own him, he had no say. The company was overseas and that meant he had a week to pack Luo Binghes things and send him there.

Shen Yuan was too ashamed to tell Luo Binghe how he failed him and up until the last minute he told him nothing. But when he told him he had to go Luo Binghe was begging not to go and Que dramatics and Shen yuan had to turn on his stone face so he can’t crack and get Luo Binghe in trouble. But all Luo Binghe saw was betrayal.

After he was forced to leave Shen yuan was depressed for a year, and it showed in his clothes. Those modeling for him worried sick over him but he still pushed that he was fine. His fashion became super popular however, and the sad tint to the normal ethereal effect. It gave realism to his art and everyone loved him. His fellow fashion designers Yue Qingyuan and Liu Qingge were piticularly supportive of this sad time for him

3 years since Luo Binghe left and Shen yuan more famous then ever, came back. He’s seen “ junshang “ before in his free time but had never put two and two together that it was his Luo Binghe, since the modeling was the dark and sexy. But he knew once he was in front of him.

Shen yuan litterly ran away. Shen yuan has recently started to make clothes for normal models and of course he just had to run into Luo Binghe! The department questioned him when he left and he said he could possibly do this at home becuase * cough ‘ im feeling a little sick ‘

They promptly kicked him to Luo Binghe.

After the most ackward photoshoot he’s ever done he was glad that his friends were there to help him cope. But this made Luo Binghe super jealous so he was spiteful and angrily making comments.

Which was unfortunately caught by journalists and paparazzi Huan Ha.

So they did everything in their will power to destroy Shen Yuan. They even went as far as to pretend that what his twin brother, Shen Jiu, did was him instead, which was really bad becuase they look exactly the same if you change hair and clothing style.

It got so bad that Shen Yuan had to ask his best friend, Shang Hua, to help him escape this world. Becuase even the higher ups were gunning for him [ old fashion master specifically ]. So his friends brilliant idea was to vanish one day and get a job as a porn model like him in a foreign country. So yay they are roommates.

He had to leave Luo Binghe again who, when he ran away left only his fan, which unbeknownst to Shen yuan, he held to it desperately.

Shen yuan has never EVER modeled and even less so for porn. He was the one in the behind the scenes. He didn’t even think he had the body for it. But apperently not only was going to be a model but a gay model like his friend. He wasn’t even gay! But the people there were the nicest fucking people he’s ever met so of course his resolved crumbled. They were mostly females who cooed over him and assured him that he’s not going to start with penetration and he’ll slowly get to that point. They also vowed to never expose his identity. He “ real “ name was Shen Qingqiu and his porn name was ‘ Peerless cucumber ‘. At first they didn’t show his face, but as he was less famous in this foreign country they started changing his appearance. Since as Shen Yuan was seen with Long hair, green expensive traditional clothes, headdresses, green eye contacts, and a fan. They cut his hair, had him put in his glasses instead of contacts, which his normal eyes are black, and avoided anything green, and he started to show his face everywhere,

After revealing his face he was an instant hit in the porn industry. Though many wanted to commission him personally, he always stuck with the Jin lan & Harem company. Trusting them and them only. Despite his age he still had the Twink look that got any manly men horny as fuck. He even filmed a few porn videos.

So 5 years go by with him in this world, completely seperate of anything even related to the fashion industry [ of course, he still fashioned his own clothes and Shang Huas becuase it’s still his passion ]. During these years he’s fully embraced this gay version of himself and even went on a couple dates with men.. up until the sex.

He refuses to have sex. He’s fine with blowjobs and sex toys but he will never allow another’s dick inside him.

Then finally, finally he founds something that happened his old world.

Luo Binghe inherited a rival company called the demon realm from his father that Shen Yuan didnt even know existed and was battling Cultivation Fashion company that he used to be apart of. This was to his utter horror becuase he saw that HIS FAN was the new company logo.

In a interview Luo Binghe was asked why he fully embraced the company and all he said was

“ it is all for my Laoushi. If he was forced to leave then I’ll destroy those who did. “

“ so how are you going about that? “

“ I have an interview today with the Company. “

Then he turned to the camera and smiled wickedly as if directly talking to Shen yuan

“ Im going to destroy them from the inside out. “

Shen yuan immediately booked a flight back to china.

Since he had just up and left with no notice he still had his security key to the conpany headquarters. The front was flooded with all kinds of people so he took the back door. There was a suspicious lack of security but he went all the way up to the main conference room and bursted inside. Liu Qingge and Luo Binghe was about to physically brawl but Shen Yuan got in the way. Many were at first confused, as they don’t know who this person is. But then Luo Binghe grabbed his arm and said

“ Cuaght you Laoshi “

And litterly stole him away.

Que conflict and depression and shit like that.

Luo Binghe knew about his porn identity and now uses it to his advantage. Bc he’s a respectable husband Luo Binghe said he doesn’t mind if he takes up Fashion design in his company or keep in doing the same job but with him in it

He is ashamed to say he has an Exhibitionism kink so he’s so proud to now do penetration modeling and vids with him

Do I have to allow all types of derivative/transformative works in my statement?

No, the statement is only an information on your stance on fanworks based on your works. You can allow all fanworks - amazing! You can say you'd rather be asked first before anything is published- great, it makes you more approachable! You can say you don't want any derivative works - thank you, now I know just to admire your works and not bother you with requests ^^

You can even have a mix for example: "Blanket permission for podfics and fanart. For translations or continuing my fics - please ask me first"

What are other information are useful to have with your BS?

How would you like to be creddited? Is inspired by option on ao3 enough?

That's understandable. You can add a note saying you do not allow your works to be used by AI in any way - for example to train in or to be used in AI prompts.

I don't have any/much works published. Is it still helpful for me to add a blanket statement?

Yes, in case you create something in the future you'll have it ready to go! And even if you don't it still normalizes having a BS and raises awareness about them!

Why don't people just ask for permission directly?

It can be hard for people to reach out with permission requests for a variety of reasons. They might be participating in time-limited event, where waiting for a response is not viable. They might be in the mood to create *right now*. Asking for permission sometimes feels like a commitment too, so it's easier for many creators to just surprise author with their creation after it's done. Sometimes people ask for permission, but never hear back, or get rejected.

Having an ask-first statement helps you be more approachable too! It shows that you might be open/welcoming to the request.

I've added a Blanket Permission to my profile! Is there a way for me to make it even easier to find for other creators?

Yes! If you have a Blanket Permission available publicly you can add a link to it and username to fanwork permission statement list. You can use this sheet to submit your own permission. There is a browser extension that highlights all usernames with BP in the fps database on ao3.

Shen Qingqiu = Zelda

Liu Qingge = Link

Luo Binghe = rehydrated TotK Ganon

The War Gods of Bai Zhan and Hyrule: Qingge is a gorgeous pretty boy who's physical badassery is just balls-to-the-wall insane = canonically insanely talented Link who is a gorgeous twink.

My Magical Sage/Shizun: Qingqiu loves researching beasts! He falls into all the wife plots, but can be wicked smart and talented (especially magically) = Zelda also loves researching her special interests, and she's classic damsel in distress who is actually badass and a magical glass cannon who guides Link.

Hotter than Hell and OP AF: Binghe is very specifically rehydrated TotK Ganon, because they both have demonic vibes, they're powerful enough to be nukes, and EVERYONE is thirsting for them. Also, they both have super long tresses of untamable curls.

Imagine Bingliushen in Hyrule, or Link, Zelda, and Ganon in a cultivation setting. Gender fuckery and/or shenanigans welcome. The similarities work with both the original PIDW flavors or SVSSS flavors, imo.

Themes to explore:

1) Gerudo Binghe only feeling safe around women (& maybe dismantling the comphet and exploring outside the gender binary in Gerudo society)

2) Qingqiu or Zelda prioritizing their studies and the things that bring them joy over their "destined" roles

3) For Qingge or Link, the toll of being in a skill class of their own and being silent and/or stoic about it

4) PIDW Binghe is most similar to Ganon, so what if Ganon's secret stone was more like Xin Mo, especially re: the drawbacks and demands of such immense power? What if Xin Mo created an effect like Gloom?

5) What if Liu Qingge as Link was the one to keep fighting Calamity Ganon in BotW and Shen Qingqiu as Zelda was getting healed and woke up as the amnesiac? What if Shen Yuan transmigrates into a freshly woken up Zelda?

6) Or what if the Link and Zelda roles stayed the same, so Liu Qingge was the one with amnesia? What if a Calamity or secret-stone-wielding Ganon version of Luo Binghe reverts to being an unconscious human once phase one of the boss fight is over? Liu Qingge and Shen Qingqiu don't have the energy to keep fighting, so they keep him in their custody until they figure out what to do with him. Binghe wakes up with most of his power depleted and hazy memories of his raging bloodlust and carnage. This leads to the eventual Bingmeification of Bingge.

Have you updated your permissions recently? If so, now is the time! Why? Permission statements are SUPER HELPFUL for other creators who want to engage with your work! Podficcers, fanartists, translators, etc, may not know if you allow it, and therefore might be hesitant to reach out or share their work with you. The Mandalorian Proletarian Uprising

Disclaimer: this post is 100% headcanons. I support your fandom-ordained right to make whatever kinds of headcanons and interpretations you want, even if they annoy me. That being said… I have some of my own.

You know how there’s a fraction of fandom who hold that the Old Mandalorians were a warrior elite who were oppressing the masses, and the New Mandalorians were the people rising up against their overlords? At least I’ve been getting those posts on my dash.

And at first I was annoyed, because that’s mushing together two completely different periods of Mandalorian history. And I have a half-written essay in my drafts about the demographics of historical warrior societies and how Mandalorians aren’t all warriors, actually.

But then I changed my mind. Because you know what? The Taung do seem to have been exactly the kind of bastards who committed several genocides and enslaved entire planets to their war machinery, either as soldiers or for churning out weapons and ships in factories. And yes, they do seem to have held that only Mandalorians had real souls. And that one had to be a warrior in order to be a Mandalorian, and the plebs aren’t mentioned. Which absolutely does make it seem like they were an oppressed and possibly (probably) an enslaved class.

So instead of brushing all that under the rug and crying about how my favourite blorbos aren’t imperialist assholes acshually, let’s say all that bad stuff happened. Let’s engage with it. Because there could be an interesting story here—good stories are all about conflict, after all.

So when did the people rise up?

So the first question is to ask when. And this is the part where I’m going to swerve left from the narrative I presented at the beginning of this essay. Because those genocidal warrior elites that annoy some fans? They were Taung. Who went extinct near four millennia ago. So that rather pushes back the date of our uprising.

Unfortunately it doesn’t seem like the masses rose against their evil overlords during the heyday of the Taung—they seem to have been going strong right up to the Battle of Malachor V, after which they are supposed to have gone extinct.

But then I remembered this little aside in this other headcanon essay of mine (which is also a good background to my headcanons):

As an aside: do you think the Mandalorians had a civil war afterwards? Now that these armies non-Taung Mandalorian warriors settle on Mandalorian worlds, where the previous non-Taung populations were little more than slaves? Did they fight it out or did they open up the clans again, for anyone willing to join?

So what if they did fight it out? Imagine this:

The Mandalorian Uprising after the Battle of Malachor V

The aftermath of the Battle of Malachor V is said to have been 300 years of diaspora and disarray for the Mandalorians. Let’s imagine what might have happened during those years:

The Mandalorian Empire has swept through the galaxy, gobbling up worlds and turning them into cogs for its hungry war machinery. Citizens of conquered worlds have two choices: join the Mandalorian armies or become a slave in their factories churning out ships, weapons, and munitions. The first option is presented as a chance to become a Mandalorian warrior yourself, to become one of the elites and find fame and glory and gold on the battlefields. The truth is that most of the press-ganged soldiers are little more than canon fodder.

The Mandalorian plague has seemed like an unstoppable tide, but suddenly Malachor V happens. Entire Mandalorian fleets have been vaporised, along with the Mand’alor himself and his top brass. The tide turns. The Mandalorian succession is in the air; their leadership in disarray. The Republic starts swiftly taking back the recently conquered worlds. The Mandalorian armies splinter.

And now many soldiers leave to find their fortunes among the wider Galaxy. But more of those ragged armies limp back to the Mandalorian home worlds and what territories they can keep a hold of. And now they try to settle down to governing them, according to their ancient laws and practices.

Only during the Mandalorian wars, the Mandalorian armies have grown exponentially. And they were grown almost entirely from the non-Taung populations. At the start of the war, clear majority of Mandalore’s citizens were Taung. At the end of it, they’re a small minority.

Many newly-minted Mandalorian warriors do buy into the warrior elite’s way of life—it benefits them, after all. But there are still huge tensions between the wish to return to the ancient ways of the Taung and the need to change how their society works in order to adapt to their completely different demographics. And maybe that tension holds for a while, maybe even decades. But eventually it snaps and a civil war boils over, because the warrior elite—now a small minority—cannot suppress their conquered masses forever.

And maybe that’s another reason why the Taung went extinct. They can’t have been all present at Malachor V, so I’ve previously suggested that they were effectively absorbed into the population, until a multitude could claim Taung ancestry, but there were no pureblooded Taung left. But maybe that extinction was helped along by the guillotine à la French Revolution. Maybe their oppressed subjects finished the job.

And unfortunately—like is often the case—it’s not just a single civil war. Like is won’t to happen, many people try to climb to the top and become the new king to replace the old one. So for decades or centuries, the Mandalorians suffer intermittent power grabs and uprisings, until they eventually settle on a new form of life and government.

Effects on Mandalorian culture

So why didn’t the Mandalorian culture go extinct? A large part of that is because the oppressed people, after throwing down their oppressors, adopted their customs as a mark of their new station in society. For better or worse, they too have been living in Mandalorian society and those are the customs of the free elites they know. If their own customs have been sufficiently suppressed, it might be only culture they know. This is not unusual if you look at irl history either.

Another part is that large parts of the Mandalorian armies (the cannon fodder) joined in on the fight. And many of them had been living as Mandalorian soldiers for years or even decades. It is their way of life too now, for better or worse.

The Mandalorian culture survives, but it is completely transformed. Anyone can be a Mandalorian now, regardless of blood. The old gods are abandoned in favour of belief in shared oversoul. Old philosophies and values are reinterpreted, and conquest is abandoned in favour of survival.

One of my favourite fanons is that Mandalorians have an abiding hatred for slavery. But I never knew how to justify it. And this here could be where it started—this slave revolution on Mandalore. Henceforth no Mandalorian would ever be a slave again.

And this could also help explain one of the dichotomies of the Mandalorians: how are they such consummate soldiers, yet have such problems with being governed? And this could be where the ethos of accepting no overlords could have been born. Mandalorians know having a tighter chain of command would make them more effective—but they also know what it would cost. And they would never take that bargain. It’s forged into the very soul of their national ethos, just like liberté, égalité, fraternité is forged into the French: Vode An.

Vode An makes for such a good working class motto, doesn’t it?

tldr:

Yes to Mandalorian peasant uprising against their warrior-elite overlords. But make it happen after the Mandalorian Wars, not in the modern days. Although you could certainly still see some ripple effects, internal tensions and biases to this day; just look at USAmericans, slavery and racism.

As always, this is just one possible way things could have gone down (and of course there can be more than one civil war in a people’s history). But I rather like it because it could explain some of those seemingly incongruous parts of the Mandalorian culture.

Are you an author who wouldn't mind podfic of your work? Look no further! This advice is foolproof!

Podfic is a recording of your story by a fan. Sometimes this may include additional sound effects, sometimes other podficcers reading parts of your story. It's ultimately an expression of love for a piece of work that has touched another fan, who simply wants to munch on your words like Cookie Monster.

How can I put my hand up for podfic? I know no podficcers!

It's pretty easy. Ever heard of a permission statement (or "a blanket permission statement")? These are often found on AO3 profiles, and they permit others to interact with your work by reproducing a piece of creative fanwork from it. (This includes remixes, art, etc., but I'm here to talk to you about podfic.) 

A blanket permission statement grants permission to create fanworks from your work. Regarding podficcers, having one of these means that if someone's interested in recording your work, they have your permission and don't need to ask!

But why wouldn't they ask?

Despite the fact that podficcers put themselves out there in the same way as writers do, they're actually quite shy! (Aren't some of us writers?) To help mollify the anxiety of podficcers who are too shy to ask for permission, a blanket permission statement simply erases that step and grants permission.

But how do I know if a podfic is made of my work?

Podficcers usually link the fic as an "inspired by" piece of work, and you get a notification that someone is requesting approval to link a fanwork to yours. If you've received podfic in the past and saw that your work was linked as "inspired by", but never got the email, check your AO3 account's email. You might need to update that!

But I'm a creator of a small fandom/I only have a small number of works. How can podficcers find me?

Fanwork Permission Statements (fpslist.org) is a fan-run website that includes a database of authors who grant permission for podfic. This is sorted by fandoms and authors/artists.

If you can't find yourself on the database, consider making an account or contacting the site admins to have yourself added (but make sure you have a blanket permission statement somewhere they can link to first!). Podficcers use this database to search for authors and works to engage with and potentially podfic, so it's very useful to put yourself on it! It might generate some traffic for you!

There's a really cool script that someone created that allows podficcers to view who has a blanket permission statement for podfic at a first glance while browsing AO3. It highlights your username in green. This is a very, very useful tool, and isn't made possible without authors adding blanket permission statements to their profiles (and also applying to be in the database so the admins don't miss including you). It's helped me find podfic-friendly authors, and I know it's assisted others interested in engaging in works from podfic-friendly creators, too. It's worth adding yourself!

What do I have to say?

It's as simple as: "I grant permission for podfic of my work. Please link back to the original work so I can approve the association and check it out!" (You can use this statement to opt into translations, remixes, art, etc. Check out some of the authors on the database for some ideas!)

This is also a great opportunity to phonetically write out how your username is pronounced, if you feel your username is one that may be easily misinterpreted!

Someone's made a podfic of my work! Now what?

Go listen and comment! Podfic is a labour of love, and isn't one of the most high traffic fan labours. Podficcers put a lot of effort into their works, so go have a listen and comment — all you have to do is say you enjoyed it.

And if you feel shy (I was in that place, too, trust me, hearing my words read aloud by a real life person was super intimidating), remember that the podficcer wouldn't have made a podfic of your work if they didn't think it was out of this world awesome. Don't let imposter syndrome, self-doubt, or the little negative voice in your head tell you anything negative. This is an absolutely awesome thing to have happen, and, honestly, I've learned a lot about my writing and storytelling by listening to someone who doesn't exist in my head (how very fortunate for them!) read my words aloud.

Are you a fannish person? A fanfic writer? Fanartist? Podficcer? Gather round friends as we talk about blanket permission (BP) statements!

BP is something you can put on your fannish profiles so others can easily see how you feel about transformative works.

Statements can be enthusiastic yeses, polite no thank yous, or somewhere in between. Some writers are always okay with some transformation but might want to take others on a case-by-case request, while feeling strongly against other types. And it's okay if that changes over time!

Some common types of transformative permissions you may want to consider is podfic, fanart, translations, remixes. How do you feel about these? When you're building your own statement, you can choose if you want to treat all types of transformation the same or not.

Also consider how you want to be credited, if you are giving permission. The associated works feature on ao3 will ensure your work is linked by default at the top of the inspired work. This is regardless of if you accept the associated work request. If you accept, it will also make sure the inspired work is linked at the bottom of your fic, as "Works Inspired by This One." But in addition, would you prefer the creator also comment, email, DM to let you know they made something? You can include that!

You can usually find a BP statement on a user's ao3 profile. In some cases, one might link to a carrd, LiveJournal, social media, or some other website where they have posted the statement so they don't need to copy it over.

But anyway, does anyone even look at profiles? YES! Podficcers in particular LOVE to peep at profiles to see if an author has already expressed their feelings about further transformation. And there is a tracker that works with a browser extension to literally highlight profiles with blanket permission statements so they are easier to spot when scrolling through ao3. Personally, one of the most stressful things about podfic is waiting anxiously for a response to a request. If an author doesn't have any transformative work policy listed on their profile, I am more likely to move on than send a message. (If I've sent you a message, I absolutely adore you and your writing.) And some folks don't want their work to be podficced, which is fine! But rejection can be hard to swallow no matter how nicely it's put. So if you've already made your stance clear, it can save us both some trouble! (Where are my introverts? I feel like we're probably the majority, or is it just me?) It's about accessibility, baby!

You can add a statement at any time, but writers, this is a great time to add a BP statement as there is a major podfic event, Voiceteam, currently underway! If you want us podficcers to know how you feel about your fanfic undergoing further transformation, it's never too late to post yours!

Here's my statement from ao3! Feel free to use any phrasings you like to help you build your own! It doesn't need to be as elaborate as mine, it can simply say something like, "If you want to make something based on my works, go for it!" It's yours to craft and make your own.
