"Who are you?"

My name's Judas! I'm also called the Choir System, since I have polyfragmented DID. We use he/him and it/its pronouns collectively, but we also like to be asked about pronouns occasionally. It's been the host Judas in front for a while though, but you can also use plural they/them if talking about multiple parts, obviously.

I'm an intersex adult who semi-randomly decided to make this blog after getting out of the shower one day, and now make low-effort edits of people's headcanons and of canon or coded intersex characters as a hobby when I have downtime instead of bedrotting on YouTube or Reddit or something. I'm more than happy to talk about my personal intersex experiences on this blog, but if you demand my diagnosis you owe me $20 USD and I'm not kidding I will genuinely respond to you with my PayPal link. Fund my testing because I don't know for certain either lol.

Some of my interests include art— both traditional and digital, roleplay (and writing as a result), cooking & baking, sewing, music, and photography. I tend to get interested in more niche stuff as well, but that's the main gang of hobbies. I'm familiar with and invested in media such as Persona, Yakuza, Homestuck, ENA, Fear & Hunger, The SCP Foundation, Disco Elysium, Darkest Dungeon, FNAF, Danganronpa, and Invader Zim. Just to name a handful of IPs I like in a decent capacity. I have a special interest in adult cartoons as well, but this paragraph would get stupid long if I talked about all the ones I like.

I'm both physically and mentally disabled, and I'm currently a cane user. I won't go too in-depth on my disabilities, but TL;DR chronic pain and balance issues, hard of hearing due to auditory processing disorder, proudly & obnoxiously autistic, a colorful assortment of mental illness, and dogshit memory because dissociative amnesia. Be patient with me and please be as specific as you can and need for your requests, because I really dislike any vagueness. I'm a genderfluid cistrans man (cis nonbinary, trans boyflux[man–neutrois]+ agender. Now let's actually get to the frequently asked questions below the cut. I've droned on long enough making this half a proper introductory post.

General Intersexuality Questions

"What is intersex?"

Intersex describes the natural state of an individual's physical body. Congenital sexual characteristics (or lack thereof) that are either seen at birth or discovered later in life* that don't fit neatly within the binary expectations of "male" or "female".

*Split into two catagories, personally! 1. Visible traits that spontaneously develop, meaning your body just decided to do that, such as during a natural puberty (intersex people could have multiple!), and/or 2. Invisible traits that could have only been found in testing such as karyotyping, WGS, and other testing to discover chromosomal or other genetic variations, or ultrasounds, MRIs, and other imaging discovering structures/organs— or lack thereof— that aren't to be expected. Both catagories can come with symptoms, such as hyperandrogenism for the first due to something like CAH, or amenorrhea in the second due to something like MRKH.

Obviously this is surface-level, and just how I would explain it in the most concise way possible. However I feel it is important to add as well, what intersex is NOT; it is physically impossible for humans to be born with both a fully formed & functioning penis and vagina. This is known as "bigenitalia" or "dualsex". While there ARE intersex people who you can say have both a penis and vagina, one or both structures are either underdeveloped and/or not typically functioning. In that same vain, it is not possible for a human to simultaneously be able to impregnate and become impregnated, because both states require two completely different hormonal profiles to function properly.

Species who have or are capable of the above are also NOT INTERSEX by default. While these individuals CAN be intersex, as described above naturally developing sexual characteristics that are "out of the norm" for one's species, there can not be an "all-intersex species". This has multiple names (no, the H-word is not acceptable even in a scientific context, stop using it), but it can be called cosexual, monoecious, or gonosimulistic. "Dichogamous" also exists for species' who produce one gamete, and then produce another later in life (like clownfish!).

"Am I intersex?"

I can't tell you if you are or not for sure. No one can, really. You might think doctors could, but they can only really give you a diagnosis that may or may not be correct. Hell, you might not even be able to tell because not all variations are symptomatic and you only find out later in life by accident during some imaging or testing.

"Intersex" is more of a sociopolitical identity (in my opinion) than a strictly biological one, and you aren't obligated to openly call YOURSELF intersex even if you undoubtedly would fit under the label. I do encourage people who are questioning if they're intersex or if they should use the label, to at least toy with it or related ones such as extersex (link), quoisex (link), or mesosex (link); but you aren't obligated to share your intersex status if you don't want to.

"No but really, how can I tell if I'm intersex?"

Again, I can't tell you. Both because it's a personal thing, but moreso because I'm not a medical professional. You're more than welcome to toss questions about yourself in my askbox (I'd prefer if you headed to my main account just to keep this blog clean, but it's not a huge deal) for me to speculate on because I HAVE hoarded a good amount of information in my head, but I cannot diagnose you.

"Does [X] condition count as intersex, and could I submit a headcanon with it?"

Simple answer? Maybe, and go ahead anyway!

Complicated answer? What counts/doesn't count as an intersex variation, given if it isn't widely accepted by the intersex community as one already, can vary from person to person. Generally, if it's in the Intersex Variations Glossary by InterACT as linked above under the "what is intersex" question, I'll happily post it without question. There's a handful of variations not listed there as well that I'll post similarly without argument, but I'm just using the glossary as a simple guide.

Conditions requested that aren't widely accepted as variations themselves by the community will be tagged under "#intersex adjacent variations". This does not mean "this is not intersex", it means "this may or may not be considered intersex depending on who you talk to". Generally, if it can cause intersex traits, and could mean the character headcanoned would fall under the spectrum of natural sex variance somehow, I'll likely accept it under that tag.

"[X] isn't an intersex condition!"

Be constructive with your comment or shut your mouth. There are real people who have the variation you claim isn't intersex, and find support in the community regardless because their experiences fall under, or are adjacent to, other intersex people. Yes, even ones I MIGHT NOT PERSONALLY consider intersex variations. Even if you disagree, be tolerant. What may not be considered an intersex variation today by the community's standards might be tomorrow, or vice versa. Malicious exclusionism is a death sentence to liberation.

"Can intersex people identify as [gender]?"

Yes. Intersex ≠ gender identity. The only reason they might not be able to identify as a certain gender is because it's culturally-exclusive, i.e. two-spirit.

While some intersex people feel their intersexuality and its traits influence how they see their gender— which is commonly known as inte(r)gender (link)— or even seeing just "intersex" as their gender identity, not all of them do, a lot don't even! Intersex people can be cis, trans, non-binary, cistrans/tris, neither cis nor trans, or multiple of these catagories. Same way perisex people might identify.

Blog-specific Questions

"What do you do on this blog?"

The primary purpose of this blog is to take people's intersex headcanons of fictional characters and post them for all to see, and I accept secondary headcanons along with intersex ones i.e. saying a character is intersex and trans, for one example. However, secondary content that you'll find from following me includes intersex-focused activism & sex education, mainly communicated through askbox questions and educational content that I reblog, or I talk about on my own accord. It's pretty non-specific what you'll find otherwise, we have fun here.

"Are perisex/endosex/dyadic/non-intersex people allowed to send in requests, or otherwise interact?"

Of course? Do whatever you want forever. Bare minimum don't be stupid, but that applies to everyone and everything.

"How do I send in a request?"

Bare minimum just drop the character's canonical name in my inbox— either in full or a nickname that's commonly used for them and will show results. Ideally with the source name as well, especially if your blorbo is more niche and doesn't show up easily with a Google search (or DuckDuckGo, since that's what I primarily use. But I'll pop on Google if I'm struggling to find your fave). It's kind of a challenge to do this wrong somehow.

If you want to send in multiple requests, I ask you try and condense them all into a single ask if you can! Makes my askbox a little less bloated.

"I don't like/agree with this post!"

Okay? Make your own post. Or send in your own request. Note as well, absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. This applies to my request posts.

"Can I request a headcanon of a character if you've already posted them?"

Yes, absolutely! Multiple interpretations are cool as hell. And it's bound to happen anyway— we aren't a roleplay space where characters get "claimed".

Do note that duplicate requests might not "fit" with the previous posts, be it different imagery edited with the flags, the cropping/sizing is wrong, or other errors that make it visually different. I delete the images from my camera roll after I'm done with the initial request since I have a life of my own and I have too many images as-is lmfao.

"Are original characters allowed to be submitted?"

Unless you've managed to publicize them out in the world and they could reasonably be called a canon character somewhere? No, sorry. If you send me stuff about your intersex OCs though (be it a post you made that I reblog, or you're just infodumping in my inbox), I'll add it to my page.

"Can you edit this flag(s) in my request, please?"

Sure! Just be mindful though if you're asking for about four (4) or more flags/identities, since it could start to look cluttered on the right side. I always keep one half of the image for the intersex flag because... well intersex-centered blog, and Morgan Carpenter's flag only really looks good if at least half of it is visible somehow. If you ever want Natalie Phox's intersex flag (link) or otherwise just want your images to look different, just ask. I just serve the people here with my shitfucked Medibang edits.

Also if your label is like, REALLY niche, and either you don't provide context (like a link to the coining post, or dropping the flag and explaining what it means in your own words, etc. whatever just giving people the means to see and learn about it), or I can't find the context behind it with a search either on Google or Tumblr, I'll probably end up denying your request.

"I forgot something in a request I sent! Is it okay if I correct myself afterwords in another ask?"

Yeah, that's fine— you usually even have plenty of time to correct yourself before your request could be posted. I ask for people to try and condense everything into the least amount of asks possible (ex. sending multiple character requests in a single ask), but I know mistakes and life happens. Obligatory "please be specific to which request you sent", especially if you're sending it some time after your initial ask.

"If I add an image(s) of my requested character in my ask, could you use them in your post?"

God please yes I'll kiss you on the mouth if you made my life easier (Exaggerating)

You can also ask I use images from specific iterations of the source, such as an older movie or newer game or something, for example. I'll try my best to accommodate. Of course if you added them yourself I'll be jumping for joy about being able to be lazy lmfao. Please don't ask for fanart edits unless I can give credit to the artist somehow.

"May I use your edits as a profile picture? Do we need to give credit?"

Yeah, go right ahead! Use my edits for whatever you want. Giving credit to me is welcome (either to this blog or my main @ridibulous), but you aren't obligated to do it. I like seeing what people do with them, at least!

"Could you add a queue and/or inbox counter in your bio?"

I've thought about it pretty hard, but no. Pain in my ass to manually update, and I think it kinda defeats some spirit if you know where you are "in line" so to speak. You're more than welcome to ask the amount of posts in my queue directly from my inbox, though.

"Is it alright if I spam like/reblog your posts?"

I don't care, go ahead! I watch my notes like a hawk so I'll definitely notice you, but consider that I good thing, I like our fans.

"Is it okay if I tag you in other posts?"

Always! As long as it's in good faith, but that should go without saying.

"What do you consider as canon, canon-coding, and intersex coding?"

Canon: The most reasonable conclusion is that they are intersex or have an intersex variation. This can include the source material or a creator of the source material going "X is intersex" OR "X has [condition accepted as intersex]". Either or can also heavily allude to a condition as wording doesn't have to be perfect and specific to understand "yeah the creators were intending this character to be intersex".

Canon intersex coding: Nothing is said outright nor were the creators potentially intending the character to be intersex, however based on experiences the character goes through, someone could reasonably interpret "hey this character could be intersex!". Kind of vague, if you could imagine them being canonically intersex it probably goes here.

Intersex coding: May or may not have outright references to potential intersexuality, or just has experiences that, while not explicitly apart of, do ring true for many intersex people. Such as not fitting in gender wise and having struggles related to your percieved gender and/or gender identity, physical issues, being othered, experiencing medical abuse, etcetera. "Coding" could also be accidental or by chance, such as artistic details implying intersexuality. Very vague catagory also, so don't be shocked if this + above flip-flop a bit.

"Are characters from NSFW/18+ sources allowed?"

Generally, yes? I've already posted many headcanons from sources that are gorey or violent since I'm more receptive to them, but I'll squint and treat the more sexual medias on a case-by-case basis. If they're not reprehensible (no positive representation of pedophilia, rape, beastiality, etc.) and I can find an image(s) of your requested character that is SFW, I think we'll be fine. All sexual or particularly NSFL sources will be tagged as "#18+ source".

This blog is at least PG-13, basically. I make jokes in the tags about being physically attracted to some requested characters sometimes. I swear, a lot. And well, intersexuality will make you think of sexual characteristics because... duh. Penises and vulvas will be talked about here in an informational context. Tread with caution and look away if you don't like it.

"Are transintersex(*) headcanons allowed?"

No. This blog is anti-radqueer if we're gonna have any niche tumblr discourse opinions here. Fine to follow if only because I don't care and it's up to others to curate their experience on this blog— if I don't block on my main, anyway!

(*I'm not describing nor excluding the reclaimed label (link), just the bullshit one by perisex radqueers)

"Do you know you're marked red by Shinigami Eyes?"

Well aware. The application, and the single person behind it who keeps people marked as red or green with zero oversight, is intersexist towards intersex people and their experiences should they not align with perisex ideals or comfort. Among a laundry list of other issues such as anti-transmasculinity, exorsexism, and racism (and marking people, who are affected by these or speak about them in the trans community, as red), just to name some I know off the top of my head.

"Why do you use the four-stripe transfem & transmasc flags?"

The creator of the popular transfem & transmasc flags explicitly excluded many intersex experiences in the posts for said flags, even if it's poor wording for its time. Naturally, because this page is centered around intersex existence and hell I'm someone who doesn't align perfectly with perisex expectations of transition, I don't fuck with that, and the four-stripe flags seemed like the best option. I'll always add alternate variants with the popular flags in the posts however, because some intersex people use those flags anyway and who am I to deny that.

"Why do you not (consistently) add image IDs in your posts?"

I'm trying to keep this blog low-energy for myself and treat it as a hobby in editing images and throwing them someplace for people to enjoy, especially since when I DO write image IDs I tend to be detailed (because well... that's kinda obvious why right?), thus the energy thing. Plus I'm just a stickler for keeping my posts looking "clean, neat, and short". I know, it sucks, I'm sorry, I really don't have much good of an excuse in my opinion and I'm wholly aware of that. To bridge this gap, I reblog any IDs I see folk add to my posts under the tag "#image id included". I do try to be vision-accessible in other ways as well, such as adding "link" in parentheses after hyperlinks.

"Why do you put an asterisk after pronouns sometimes in your posts?"

If a character's headcanoned identity & appearance don't match, basically. Such as a character who's a presumed cis woman in source and the request says they're transmasculine, or vice versa. It's proactive to try and prevent any smartasses who insist I'm not using the right pronouns, or something. I just make the funny image edits, I go with whatever pronouns the requester uses in their ask and I'll default to they/them (or the canon character's assumed pronouns) otherwise.

"Why aren't religious characters from the source not allowed? What does that mean, what counts as parody?"

I made a Jesus from The Bible post and I got some folk up in arms about it. I'd rather not deal with the shitstorm again, moreso because it took a mental toll on me. And something could be said about disrespecting people who believe X individual is real even when you don't believe the same (which is my case, I do not hold Christian beliefs current or past).

Parodies mean giving the character a degree of seperation. So Jesus (and the various other religious figures.) from South Park is fair game.

"What if I have other questions?"

Toss them in my inbox, my notes, or message me directly, either on this blog or my main, I don't really care right now. If I get questioned on the same thing often enough—or I feel it's important information to be answered— I'll add it to this behemoth of a post.

Wine

You probably met Wine somewhere work related. Maybe you work for him, or maybe you work in another business and met him at an event somewhere. Wine’s an ambitious man, and takes great pride in his work. Show an interest in that (or maybe, just boost his ego!) and he will start to enjoy your company. Going from friend to S/O though… that’s a different story. He’s guarded, and it will take him a long time to let you in. It’s important to be a natural and easy part of Wine’s life, because if you become a source of stress or tension, he will cut you out. You also have to be able to keep him interested in some way, and be a match for his mental acuity. Keep going and eventually, he will realise that he really likes having you around, and has to make you his!

Coffee

You probably met him in an art shop, or saw him sketching in the park. These moments are how he relaxes and navigates the world. Also… he rarely leaves the house otherwise! You’ll have to strike up the conversation, because this man definitely isn’t going to. If you just come out of nowhere or try to make small talk, he will probably freak out and shortcut away!  But if you talk to him about his art as he's doing it, he’ll be happy to engage. He worries that he’s embarrassing himself, boring people, or that someone is just using him, so if you are authentic and pleasant, he will warm to you quickly. Before long, you won’t be able to shake him off! You’ll get bonus points if you have a pet he can cuddle, like video games, or have an interesting hobby you can talk to him about – he loves that! But most importantly, you must be patient and kind. Coffee has seen enough cruel people and he has no desire to associate with any more.

Razz

Just finding Razz to begin with can be quite hard. Razz is a Legal Investigator and takes his job very seriously, it means a lot to him and is a source of pride. Perhaps you met him at university where you both studied law, maybe you work for the same attorney, or maybe you caught him out and about in some of his rare downtime. Either way, he’s got a thick skull and he’s not going to see you in ‘that’ way for a long time. Become a trusted acquaintance, an person who's opinion he values, and maybe then things will progress. If you get there, Cash will probably give his brother a pep talk and tell him that if he doesn’t snap you up, someone else will… that mental image might give Razz the push he needs! You'll get Razz brownie points if you are generous and warm. That can throw him off guard, and he will look down on you at first for being weak, but he will spend many sleepless nights wondering why he is so drawn to you.

Cash

Who knows where you met this man tbh. He just kind of arrived one day and adopted you as his funny little Human friend. Maybe you met him in a store and responded to his joke with a reaction that made him laugh, maybe you did something that intrigued him in public and he tailed you for a bit to see what kind of person you were. He will enjoy toying with you – he loves to needle people, and derives great enjoyment from pushing people’s boundaries. He’s a bit of a shit in that way, but he also likes to see what makes people tick. Once you’ve become friends, he can be serious when he needs to, so you might find that you bond over something you have in common or he just starts to genuinely enjoy your company. If you want to succeed with Cash, you need to give him your time. At first it won't mean that much to him, but when you get close, he will start to really value your listening ear and reassuring words. It's something he's never had before, and it's something he has never admitted he desperately wants.

Black

If you’re a Human, this is going to be hard. As previous Captain of the Royal Guard, it was Black’s job to take accountability for finding and bringing in any fallen Humans. He may not be underground anymore, but he forced himself to buy into this philosophy so much that he’s internalised it deeply. He is very distrustful of Humans, and doesn’t want to associate with them. As a result, you must have met him somewhere where he couldn’t avoid you. You can break down those walls, but there’s no shortcut I’m afraid – you’re going to have to go the long way around. The good news is that when Black does trust you and considers you a close friend, he’s got your back. Only time will get you there. Black would look for a partner that is loyal, honest, genuine, and takes him seriously. It'll take him time to realise, but he's worn down from being a pawn in other people's games, and his self-image has taken a hit as a result. He will value a S/O who is patient and can help him recapture that sense of self.

Wolf

You could have met Wolf anywhere, because he’s one of the skeletons you’re more likely to find around town, and is more likely to actually talk to you than some! Likely he noticed you at the bar and liked what he saw, then made his way over to strike up a conversation and entertain himself for the evening. He does that a lot, just pass the time by chatting up random people, or people watching. But it’s very much a one-sided conversation and he’s just putting on whatever mask he wants to, to find out what he wants. So, if you want to get through those walls, you’re going to have to take him by surprise a bit. It doesn’t necessarily have to be something crazy and left-field, though. He's seen enough of that underground, and it doesn't impress him. Someone who sees through the façade – maybe has one of their own? – and is genuine can get through to him. Now that’s something he’s rarely encountered…

Pokemon Reborn - Adrienn Flores Takes Xyr Time

Adrienn was at the computer in the Grand Hall basement. Xe was working, obviously, and five more minutes had turned into half an hour. All the lights had been turned off, except for the lamp on the table and the computer screen. All was silent except for the fan cooling the computer and the clicking of the keyboard.

The vulpix that Adrienn would pet intermittently had long since gone to bed, when it did Arclight had commented about how pokemon knew what was good for us.

Someone sat next to xem.

“Huh? Oh, hello champion.” It was Decibel. They wore a big black coat and had long fluffy white hair. They sat with their hands on their knees and looked at Adrienn. “Was there something you needed?” Xe asked them. Decibel thought the question was silly.

“Adrienn. The Grand Hall closes at five.” Adrienn checked the corner of the computer screen. Oh. Five more minutes had actually turned into an hour and thirty six minutes of overtime.

“Oh dear, I've let time run away on me again. And-” Adrienn saw Decibel's face. “Yeah I know I'm overworking again. Everyone keeps telling me.”

“Why do you do it?”

“Why do I do what?” Adrienn didn't have any clue what the question could mean.

“Why work so hard? Most people would rather do less work. It's a kind of suffering, to work so much. What makes you do it?” The vulpix had come back. Decibel started stroking it.

It had never occurred to Adrienn that this was even a question to be asked before now. Xe thought that the reason to work was as self explanatory and necessary as eating. It was as if Decibel had asked: ‘Why breathe?’

“Well I need to don't I? Rallying volunteers, taking gym challenges or-” Xe glanced at the computer screen. “Writing emails. If I  don't do it then Reborn won't thrive. It's worth it to do this since it makes everyone happy.” 

“Would it kill you to be selfish for once?” Decibel normally sounded monotone, but for a moment their voice was tinged with frustration.

“I- what? What are you saying?”

“I'm saying that you're missing out. You have so much in your life other than your job.” Decibel said.

“Well when I'm not working I'll just be training or eating and then maybe by midnight I'll try to sleep for a few hours.” Emphasis on ‘try’. It's not like falling asleep came easily to xem. There was a lengthy pause where neither of them said anything.

“What do you do on Saturdays?” Decibel asked.

“Saturday? Why, did you want to arrange something?” Adrienn stopped to analyse the question. “...Well on Saturday I normally catch up on gym challenges. If I'm busy during the week then that's a convenient time to reschedule them for.” Xe said ‘if’ like busyness wasn’t a certainty.

“What about Sunday?”

“Well Sunday is a great time to prepare all my Monday emails and get a headstart on paperwork. I make my plan for the week too.”

Decibel sighed. They looked sad for some reason. “What's wrong?” Adrienn asked.

“Don't you have anyone you spend your downtime with? Any hobbies that aren't also about your job?” Decibel's questions were starting to get frustrating.

“I'm fine, alright? I know you mean well but I'm doing what I need to do. You're the same aren't you? You've volunteered for like, half of everything I organised and you donate to everything. That's on top of all your duties as champion!” Adrienn had powered off the computer and stood up.

“But I do things other than work. Those things don’t consume so much of my time that I can’t go for walks or watch TV or check on my friends. I think that the only reason you work as much as you do is because you’re choosing to do more than someone should.”

“Yeah? What makes you say that?” Adrienn asked with a sarcastic edge.

“We have reserve leaders that could take your gym battles for you, with your position you could delegate most of the paperwork. It’s like you don’t want to stop.”

“And what’s wrong with that?!” It was at this point that Adrienn realised xe was red faced and in tears. “...I’m sorry for speaking that way. I just lost composure for a minute.” Adrienn was carrying a folder in one hand and dried xyr face with the other.

“It’s okay, everythings alright. Please talk to me more. We should try to get to the heart of this issue.”

“You know what? You’re right Decibel. Yes, I’m keeping myself busy on purpose. I’d just rather not be at home.”

“Why? Most people look forward to going home.”

“Well most people don’t need to rebuild their life from scratch after being frozen in time for a decade. Most people don’t face the horror of seeing their home destroyed in what feels like an instant.” Decibel felt like Adrienn was about to begin a rant. They were here for it.

“I don’t have anyone left Decibel. My parents? Grandparents? Any cousins? They’re all gone. Either from old age or killed in the disasters that tore Reborn apart. When I go home? There’s no one there. I’m happier when I’m doing something.” Adrienn sat down again, this time on some couch in the corner of the room. Xe needed to cry.

“There’s a better way than that.” Decibel promised.

“What’s the better way?”

“Just take a couple days off and if you don’t want to stay at home then go outside, or to a movie or to the circus or just do something with your pokemon that isn’t training. Years from now no one will remember you worked overtime except for the people that love you.” Decibel  had considered that the last remark went too far, but Adrienn’s current lifestyle also went too far.

“I don’t know. I’ll try to fix myself. I like gardening and walking through nature, I especially liked that time we went to the new world Cauldron of The Future. That was pretty.” Adrienn checked the time. Twenty past six. “Ugh, I’m too tired. Can you help me get home?”

“Of course.”

“Thanks champion. I’ll try to help myself. I’ll take your words to heart.”

And that's the story. I'm worried I exaggerated Adrienn's problem a little, this story was written mainly to express a theory about why Adrienn is the way xe is. We know that ten years later in Another Time xe has a better worklife balance, but what caused xem to be a workaholic in the firstplace? I know that the causes in real life aren't so fantastical, but I think Adrienn's suffering that xe would've experienced from suddenly being sent through time is something worth thinking about.

One thing that was hard to mark as a hobby was cooking and baking ecause those are his jobs technically. So I imagine he separates it from his more creative hobbies.

Drawing: Chris is always drawing when hehas downtime at the bakery. Often sketching little logos or his friends from memory. If you're his friend, there's more then likely a comic style drawing of you in his sketchbook. It's more of a comforting thing since it reminds him of days with his mom.

Dancing: Not exactly a hobby but it's something he enjoys. His childhood friend often danced with him, his family taught him how to have good footwork and he loves a nice party. But if he wanted to, he could learn to professionally dance but he goes with the flow so he can dance with anyone.

Playing an Instrument/Making Music: Chris's main way to unwind at the end of the day is to play his guitar (A Vintage Acoustic Fender ) and mess with his SP404. As much as he loves listening to music, Chris loves playing/making little tunes. He looks at it as a chill way to do things on his own time. Letting himself mess up, play well or play for a little bit.

Watching Movies/Shows: Chris loves watching movies. Mainly horror but he loves all genres and he's willing to watch anything. As long as the company is good, the baker is happy to watch a movie or a show. If he needs something on in the background he usually sticks to a shitty horror movie, a random episode of the Simpsons or Living Single, sometimes the Parkers.

Spellwork Aftercare

Introduction:

Creating spells and rituals requires learning, connecting, and creating a sacred space to work. Spellwork may even be performed for days at a time and any practitioner knows that the energy used in these spellworkings can be draining and hard to gain back. Taking care of yourself during and after your practice is just as important as sleeping or taking a walk to de-stress. Here are some ways to replenish energy and rest yourself after using energy in your work.

1. Take A Bath

Draw a bath using your favorite scented Epsom salt for your water (my go to is usually lavender Dr. Teals). If you would like, you may add flower petals to the bath for added scent or for the correspondence of the flowers, typically chamomile, lavender, or even white rose petals work wonderfully for cleansing and relaxation. You can even bring your crystals to the bathroom, BUT, rule #1: always make sure you know what crystals can or cannot be added to water. I for one, never place my crystals in the water with me but I place them to the side or in an area free from getting splashed. The crystals will be able to connect with you even when they are not in the water or on your skin. While taking your bath meditate using a method that works well for you and focus on relaxing. Your energy will soon return quicker by the next morning.

2. Take A Nature Walk

I have mentioned this method before in the intro and I understand that it is not everyone's cup of tea but hear me out. Taking walks are scientifically proven ways to reduce stress, anxiety, depression and to stay healthy and happy. Whichever path you follow, nature is a large part in practice and connecting with nature is an amazing way to feel more energized before coming back to the altar. Going to your favourite woods, forest, or- if you live in a city like me- visit your local park. Take in the scenery, recognize what you are doing in the moment and feel the energy come back through the ground and dirt under your feet. Allow the sun and wind to cleanse you of your previous spellworking and allow more energy to flow through you for another day or night. Always remember to stay safe when going out, let people close to you know where you are going and remember to bring necessary supplies (this isn't the dark ages, bring sunscreen, mosquito repellent, etc.)

3. Rejuvenate Over Time

Although this seems like a less likely route to take, let me explain for those who love to chill or for the witches that are in the "broom closet" (dang I haven't used that term in a long time). I understand that some may not be able to take baths or visit a park or nature walk as easily as others and sometimes taking the longer path to regaining energy is the better option. I used to be in this predicament a while back and found that taking time in doing menial tasks, reading a book, trying new hobbies, or even taking an off day to watch a movie or TV show would be the best way to recover from any spellwork. Our bodies and minds need any type of rest to recover and to prevent burnout so don't ever beat yourself up for "being lazy" or "procrastinating too much." The more you resist resting the more stressed and uneasy you become. There needs to be a balance of work/school, spellwork, and play/downtime and it's not an easy task to manage but usually in most cases as time goes on you eventually create the perfect routine to follow. I need to stick to a routine, if I don't I lose track of everything; I start to forget important dates, I can leave my phone/wallet/keys at home when I go out, I just become a complete cluts when I don't stick to my routine. Routines can even include hygiene habits or sleep schedules. It's totally up to you how you want to make your resting period good enough to gather more energy for your spellworkings.

I hope this helps! It seems like very minimal and repeated information but this is just as important as learning new things in your path. I wish I knew how important resting was when I first started because I went way over my head quite a few times and felt absolutely drained to the point that I was stressed with my work and had pushed it to the side for quite a bit of time even though it's so important to me. It took me a while to figure it out.

Well... that’s a unique question. 

Honestly, Lucy’s writer thing fades off quite often, so quite a few things can still remain the same. Cooking is a bit of a strange one, though, would her dream be to become a renowned chef (making herself famous by her own efforts rather than perpetuated rumours and family prestige), to write her own cookbook and open her own restaurant and taste delicacies all around the world (which would give her more of a ‘travelling around the world for more experience’ motive and she wouldn’t stay in a guild all the time.) 

I do like the idea of chef, though. I think Lucy and Sanji have been compared often, so first they would both have gone through the whole ‘you’re a noble/royal, and cooking is for the chefs, not for you’ talk with their fathers. But Lucy would have a more positive environment than Sanji, and you know, learning how to cook is a good skill for a woman in that kind of society. But if Lucy starts getting too invested in her passion, Jude would probably still disapprove. 

Come to think of it, she tried to give him a rice ball in a flashback, didn’t she? Similarly, Jude would consider it a skill, but he’d also consider it a waste of time and frown upon it.

Ironically, I’d like to think that Jude was a good cook, not Layla. So Lucy actually got this part of her from him, and this is what they’ll bond over when Jude’s business collapses. Maybe Jude will eventually give her his cookbook, and it’ll be the only, most meaningful thing he’s ever gotten from him. 

I think one of the few things to immediately change would be the starting scene. 

Imagine if, instead of treating Natsu to food, Lucy also takes a bite and sighs, because Hargeon is a fishing town. Other than fresh fish, everything else is subpar, and she’s not satisfied. She wonders where she’ll be able to get actually good food, but she also doesn’t have that kind of budget. Maybe Bora will lure Lucy onto the ship with promise of good cruise cuisine. 

There will probably be a running joke from Happy and Natsu, about Lucy’s arsenal consisting of humanoid food ingredients. They are mortified, Lucy is offended. They still don’t know what Plue is, a snow cone? 

I think it’d be cute if downtime scenes were, instead of them siting around chatting, they sat around while Lucy happy starts bushfire cooking. Gray and Natsu argue for a bit and suddenly Lucy has fried rice served and ready to eat, ma’am holy crap that was fast! And they’ll eat. It’d be a cute theme if Lucy continued to go about everywhere foraging for anything she could cook. Also, she has a stone oven in her apartment that is never used or mentioned. Maybe in this AU they invade Lucy’s house because they know she probably has something cooking. Free food! 

Lucy would probably be very angry when Natsu burns something to a crisp, even if it was a person. It’s just chef instinct, she hates it when things are burnt. 

(“Natsu, why can’t you ever hit a perfect medium rare? It’s not that hard!”)

(“I prefer my meat well done.”)

(“You heathen!”)

Unlike Sanji, she won’t have the whole ‘my hands are sacred’ thing because she doesn’t have them for novelist hands in canon either. 

Let’s say in this AU, she has a quirk of photographing instead of writing. She usually takes pictures of food, of people enjoying food, and finally, people in general. She’s still the log keeper and narrator, and she sends these pictures to her mom. Instead of writing letters, Lucy bakes or cooks something amazing, takes a picture, and writes a very meaningful ‘to Mom, today I cooked this’ and nothing much else. She doesn’t need anything else to tell her feelings-- maybe in this AU, she’s not very eloquent to begin with. 

In this regard, would she still be friends with Levy? I’d say no, but we could make it work. Maybe Levy’s got specific allergies, or body image issues, or maybe even an ED-- and thus she doesn’t eat in the guild. Lucy notices this quickly and helps her work through it together. There, friendship. 

Lucy cries in despair when he sees the dragon slayers eat weird things. It eventually grows into indifference, and soon enough, she’s taking notes on what fire tastes better and how to make it exactly how Natsu likes it. Everyone mourns when she was normal, because now Gajeel has to explain to her that rusty metal has a kick to it that he likes better than polished metal, and she keeps asking. 

Lucy’s love language will be food, of course. She likes to keep everyone well-fed, maybe use her house a lot more as a meeting spot. One of her first indicators of trying to get along with you would be asking you what’s your favourite food and the reason why. The easiest way to make a good first impression with her is to recommend her an interesting snack. (Eg, Loke giving her fruit milk after she gets out of the public bath, Loke arc anime-only scene.) 

If Lucy ends up fighting something edible, eg old guy that turns into an octopus in Edolas, her first thought would be "holy crap, think of how much takoyaki I can make with this guy! But it would be the least appetising takoyaki ever, I’m so conflicted, what do I do?!” Lucy would probably also start freaking out when animal-type enemies attack her. She’d cry about finally receiving karmic vengeance for her crimes or something, just to be dramatic. 

I like to imagine a scene where Natsu comes in as backup for Lucy in a tag-team battle. 

(As tongue-in-cheek, he would hold onto his enemy and ask her, “how would you like your steak done today, ma’am?”)

(And Lucy would reply, “medium rare, please.”)

(It would be cute if he messes it up and Lucy snarks, “you’re a horrible chef, this is inedible. How dare you serve this to a customer, send it back to the kitchen!”)

(“Well, that’s why you're at the chef and not me, right?”)

JIN: “The meaning of the word ‘rest’ seems to have changed,” he says. “I think that resting should be entirely selfish. However, a lot of people try to do something useful in their free time, like something that will help them pad out their résumé. But I believe that uselessness is useful! I believe that you need to have days that other people consider wasteful, to be able to focus more on useful things later.” Ironically, Jin can commit himself more to his regular work routine because he appreciates the value of “lazy time.” “You know the saying: ‘I bend my knees only to jump higher’” he says with a laugh.

SUGA: “I think I’m happier now,” he confides. “I’ve realized that happiness doesn’t require much, and it can be quite simple. I used to think material things would give me happiness, and I worked hard to achieve them. But when I succeeded, I wasn’t so sure anymore. I don’t have many earthly desires anyway,” he says with a laugh. “Perhaps it’s because I now know that material things no longer give me great satisfaction. Hi @commanderhorncleaver! Sorry for letting this sit for a while, I've been abnormally busy while the new academic year gets ready to start ;-;

You keep asking me interesting things I have barely thought of! The hobbies thing, I actually got into a discussion with a friend recently thanks to your ask about his age, Vikaros is a horrible workaholic at the start of the PS due to... well, he didn't have time or space attention for anything other than leadership/fighting stuff up until then. I imagine he, as the PS goes on, slowly begins to understand that he is allowed to have other things, things purely to himself, and he is able to not spend his every waking second on Work, even if that Work is keeping the whole world from being eaten by Elder Dragons.

In Orr, he was still w a y too stressed about everything going on and new in his role to pick up anything.

In Maguuma, during his downtime, he gets shown how to weave various types of plants into mats or baskets - it's repetitive, it's calming, he can give the results to the medics/supply officers, so it's not entirely """useless""". And it's not permanent, he's not putting anything of himself in it, at the start, so it's safe. (Nonviolent) self-expression is fucking scary when you've never been taught how to, or that it's okay to.

In Elona, he learns how to carve. Sticks, bones, rocks. He's already familiar with the process of it, due to the warband's internal system of symbols and habit of carving their symbols into the terrain in recon missions, but in Elona, he makes it into an art. He keeps it private, he doesn't really show anyone, he still feels conflicted about being able - being allowed! - to do this, but it feels liberating, in a way. One day, he bumps into some Elonian children admiring the artwork he made out of a tree, and though he doesn't let them know he's there or that he saw them, it sets something inside of him free, and it's entirely unexpected, the feeling of making someone's day not just because he saved their lives for the umpteenth time, but because he made something nice. When he arrives back in camp, he shows Havoc a particularly thick bone he'd been working into a rendition of Swiffer the lynx in the middle of a jump, and they encourage him. (They mostly don't have the same compunctions about hobbies and Time To Themselves that Vikaros does, and are happy to see him get more comfortable with himself and them, though this is an enlightening experience for Tavryn, who's struggled with similar feelings about Duty and reconciling it with what she wants)

Romantic interests or inclinations-wise, to be honest, I'm solidly demisexual and I can barely remember to think about romance as a concept when writing anything that doesn't have the romance as The Focus. None of the charr in Havoc currently have anything extra-platonic going on. They think of each other as family, so that would be Ew, and I haven't gotten to a point in my canon where they would meet anyone who they 1. spend enough time with to create a bond, and 2. they do not think of as family. I've been too busy/not in the right headspace to write recently, but since I noticed that I projected this hard onto the whole warband, I've been thinking about it, but don't have anything concrete in mind.

Gifts and jokes. This man will do anything to see you smile and hear you laugh, he’ll tell you corny joke and hold his breath hoping you laugh, and when you finally give in and start laughing, his shoulders will slump in relief. When it comes to gifts, I feel like he takes his time deciding what to get, it ranges from ‘I saw this and I thought of you’ to something incredibly thoughtful. If he sees something related to a favorite hobby of yours, he’ll buy it in a heartbeat. Kindness being the most important thing. He’ll want to be with someone who’s kind and compassionate, someone who shares his ideals, not necessarily to the same extreme as him but enough to passionately agree with him. He looks for patience as well, being a pro is time consuming enough as it is. Being the symbol of peace is a whole other monster. So he wouldn’t want to be with someone who is constantly on him or arguing with him about coming home late or overexerting himself. He doesn’t mind when you fret over him, checking him for injuries, hell, even a little lecture about him being more careful is ok. As long as he feels that you’re coming from a place of love and concern, he welcomes it. He’d also want to be with someone who’s independent and able to rely on themselves. Hero work takes him away for hours on end, so he doesn’t want to spend the whole time worrying if you’re taking care of yourself. If it’s something you struggle with, he’ll be more than happy to help you on his downtime. As long as he knows you’re eating well, staying hydrated, and not just sitting and staring at a wall waiting for him, he can breathe a sigh of relief.

Depends on what point of his life he’s at when you have the conversation. If it’s during/immediately after his first encounter with All For One, then no. He’ll argue that it’s far too dangerous. If he couldn’t protect his master, how could he possibly hope to protect his s/o and child? If it’s in the years that follow, leading up to when he started teaching at UA, then he’ll still say no but that he’ll think about it. Once he finds a successor, he’ll be more open to the idea but until then, his answer is still no. If it’s after his last encounter with All For One, he’ll be the one suggest it. You’ll be on the couch with a mug of tea in your hand, watching your favorite show while he goes over lesson plans. SVTFOE: A Retrospective

Happy Mama Star Day!

OK, first and foremost, a quick update on TGG: I plan to have something ready for at least one of the major anniversaries coming up, and hopefully will resume slightly more regular updates from then forward. Thanks to everyone for your continued support, it’s been a rough year so far for me personally and for everyone in in the current pandemic situation. The anniversary of both STH and Mama Star seemed like a fitting time to get some things off my chest, both good and bad, so I’ll do that now and get it out of the way to focus on bigger and better things in the future. Fair warning, this is gonna be long and rambly and personal more than it is any sort of serious show analysis. If you’re looking for fun, feel-good celebration of what definitely were some of my favorite moments in the series, I’m not so sure this is gonna be the post for you.

It goes without saying that Star vs the Forces of Evil, for better or worse, is incredibly important to me and has been without fail for years. How are you supposed to feel when something that important lets you down so hard? Is having such strong, mixed emotions and attachment better than having nothing you care about at all? The past year hasn’t answered these questions for me, and this post certainly won’t either. There’s no thesis or likely any kind of closure here, just me baring a bit of my soul here on tumblr dot com.

It’s been a rough year or two for me. I don’t want to get too much into the specifics, but let’s just say I hit a crossroads where the entire path I’d envisioned for myself in life came into serious question, and I had been spiraling into depression and paralyzing anxiety over a complete lack of any fulfillment in my “professional” life for months before I even recognized it for what it was. Season 3 finished airing around the last few months of my undergraduate degree, which (while obviously it significantly emotionally impacted me) was a generally happy and stable time in my life. As things started to change and get worse for me, SVTFOE S4 was my ray of hope. I’m not kidding when I say that some days in the hiatus leading up to it, the thought of S4 delivering on its potential for emotional fulfillment and Starco goodness (consistently, not just at the end) was the only thing that got me out of bed in the morning and the only positive thing I could see in my future. 

When we got the S4 we got, it shattered me, utterly and completely. This isn’t an attempt to dunk on S4 in some “objective” manner - hell, I even like a lot of the things about it that the fandom despises (the ending prioritizing character closure over lore, the upheaval of the political structure rather than just having Star become the Goodest Queen, etc). I’d still make the argument that a lot of the character development was very flimsy and poorly paced, a very clear effort to force the relationship resolution to be delayed until the end at all costs, but that’s not the point here. Life felt dull and lonely and warm fluffy Starco was my vicarious escape from that, and the season we got left me so completely hollow insid that it felt like I couldn’t breathe for its first more-than-a-dozen episodes, and I was so burnt out that I couldn’t even properly enjoy the parts that were genuinely good.

Even earlyish on, I was already fearing that things wouldn’t be resolved till the end and that there’d be almost none of the content I actually longed for from the show. As I’ve mentioned before, The Greatest Gift was born the morning after Lake House Fever’s late night release, out of salt and spite and a need to give myself something good to look forward to, even if it would be something I’d be making myself. I completely removed myself from even passing conversations with my best friends in the fandom because it hurt too much to even think about. I even had Seddm give me summaries of episodes before I watched them so I could take some time to emotionally prepare (at least until the 2nd to last week). And to the show’s credit, its last few weeks of episodes (with some exceptions) tried their absolute damnedest to right the ship (pun intended) and bring back the sorts of things I wanted with a vengeance. I was smiling like a complete fool for 12 hours straight after Here to Help. The ending didn’t fix my issues with the show, not by a fucking long shot, but it at least left me on a positive enough note that there was a feverish enthusiasm to continue it further on my own.

But it’s been tough. Have you or a family member/friend ever gotten bad food poisoning from a restaurant you really liked, and the smell of it makes you queasy afterwards even though you do really like it? That’s probably the best analogy I can draw to a lot of my relationship with SVTFOE since it ended. PLEASE NOTE I’M IN NO WAY TRYING TO EQUATE THE MAGNITUDE OF MY IRE WITH A CARTOON WITH SERIOUS DISORDERS THAT PEOPLE SUFFER FROM, but I’d almost be tempted to liken it to PTSD. Seeing reminders of the painful parts can put me in a bad mood for hours, and on some days even just dwelling on the show in any way will invite creeping negativity and “why the fuck couldn’t it have just-” types of thoughts taking over. There have been some days writing TGG where having to draw inspiration from or reference events/dialogues in S4 was so emotionally taxing that I had to stop writing for the night. I blocked Seddm’s entire askbox tag because I’d find my own emotions frothing into a rage over things in the show people would bring up. I’ve lost acquaintances and potential friendships over my bitterness. I instantly block anyone who posts even a hint of Tomstar/Kellco content in the Starco tags on any site because it induces such palpable negativity in my heart - I think I’m up to 1000 accounts blocked on Instagram right now, which is why Toxic runs the TGG page over there. If you’re one of the people out there that tried to strike up a conversation with me over a shared interest in the show and I vomited bile into your DMs, I sincerely apologize. And to anyone who got wrapped up in the brazen high hopes I put forth here every day as S4 approached and came crashing down with me as a result, I’m sorry for that too.

And yet... I can’t say there’s not a genuine love I still have for a lot of it. I still have my little shrine of stickers and pictures that I’ll sometimes just get let myself get lost in. There was a recent postcanon fic started by someone who just caught up on the show that brought such a depth of warmth into my chest that I’m smiling like an idiot just now thinking about it. I haven’t watched even a clip (let alone a whole episode) that Star and Marco’s voices in my head feel distant and abstract, but when I’m writing chapters I can still get emotional imagining them saying and doing things out of their devotion to one another. I’ve made no secret that I (to put it very very very lightly) have a strong distaste for the vast majority of this fandom, and yet the joy of knowing I could make people’s days or lives brighter gives me a satisfaction I can’t put words to. Don’t get me wrong, writing quickly just isn’t my thing normally anyway - I’m not trying to suggest that the sole reason for TGG downtime is that I’m driving knives into my own heart and pouring my blood onto the page. Just that that’s part of it, and it takes its toll. 

The last few months, although I have missed the joy of brewing up fluff ideas and seeing them come to life, have admittedly been a welcome reprieve just not having to think about this stuff so much. In the last few weeks I’ve finally been coming around to a bit of a better place where the good bubbles up without bringing as much of the bad with it. It will likely still wax and wane, and I can’t guarantee if or when TGG will fully finish. And this isn’t my entire life - I have MMOs and card games and all kinds of other hobbies that suck up lots of my time, so don’t worry about me just lying in bed sobbing over S4 for 12 hours a day. I don’t know if the day will ever come when I can truly be at peace with it all, but I don’t want to toss out the good with the bad. All I can ask is for your patience as my own journey evolves alongside my writing, until the day comes when perhaps this story can finally come to a close. Thanks for reading, and stay safe.

first of all, you’re a hacker and that immediately gives me secret agent vibes - you and black widow met doing some work for shield back when it was a thing, and at first it didn’t look like the two of you would get along

i mean, you’re super energetic where she’s more low key, and you’re naturally curious where she doesn’t exactly give information.

but fate kept pushing the two of you together, for better or for worse. and the more you spend time with natasha, the more she opens up, and the more she notices how you never talk about anything too deep. and this.... intrigues her? she wants to know more.

and i do think the two of you would work well together - you are versatile enough to adapt to any situation, you have great ideas, you’re rational and well-informed, so you’d be a great field agent. the worst that could happen is that you talk to much, but natasha actually finds it endearing.

as the certified fixer™ of the group, you and natasha work together to bring your team together. natasha is better with people one of one, meanwhile you are great at solving group troubles, so together you create an environment that is so supportive.

i think that you and natasha would 10/10 have a slow burn relationship - you guys take things slow and that’s probably best since neither of you are very good with romance, being more rational and independent.

you and natasha are actually probably big movie buffs - at first natasha just thought she would indulge you and watch a show, but she actually got really into it?

it’s good to just lose yourself in a life that isn’t your own and watch characters deal with their trauma in varying degrees of efficiency.

and natasha is incredibly intuitive, so i feel like she would love to sneak glances at you while you watch shows or when you are hacking because it’s one of the few times you are still and left to your thoughts.

and she is one of the few people that you talk about Real Shit with. she is able to get you to open up in a way that doesn’t feel like prying.

what’s also great about this ship is that one of you is high energy and the center of attention while the other is low key and in the shadows. SO, you are able to bring natasha out of her shell and she is able to get you to slow down.

this is another one that i need you to hear me out on, because i have a whole scenario in my head

padme is a senator and clearly you are doing some not-so-legal shenanigans, using your more refined skills (like flute playing, language learning, and schmoozing) to get near people with Money so you can embezzle them and take them for all they’re worth.

now padme, has some Money, and so you easily become friends with her by casually being at some party or another and showing off your amazing talents.

but padme is so kind! and once you get to know her you have some second thoughts,,,, do you have to steal from someone so pretty and sweet?

but you are determined and a little dismissive of your emotions - you can power through this.

but then padme does so many kind things for you - she takes you out on walks, she gets dinner with you, she has deep™ conversations with you, and while you are able to hide your more shady dealings, it’s getting increasingly difficult... and do you want to?

little do you know, padme has had an eye on you since the beginning because she has friends everywhere and knows about you and your little games. she waiting for you to make your move so she can catch you red handed, but she, too is having some difficulty with that.

especially when you genuinely seem so cool? and interesting? and let’s be real here, padme is a sweetheart but she has a taste for the troubled™ individual with deep seeded conflicts

and so you are both slowly falling in love with each other and it’s making your lives very difficult. but neither of you want to give up.

eventually, though, you and padme are talking one night, maybe after having watched the star wars equivalent of a movie or having just gone to see a play and you walked back to her place

either way, it’s deep into the night, and you are having hushed conversations despite being alone, and you start to open up about your past.

you’ve been hanging out for many months now, and you know you’ll be kicking yourself in the morning, but you’re telling her anyway. you manage to avoid talking about your latest hacking adventures, but you tell her about how you grew up in the lower levels of coruscant and living down there, how were you expected to be anything else?

and padme is very sweet, and she tells you that who you were then doesn’t need to be who you are now - look at all of the amazing things you can do! everyone comes from somewhere, but it’s where there going that matters.

and you decide to not embezzle her because you see something genuine in her eyes - something that really believes in you. and you’ve never been big on emotions, but you believe in padme.

and ANYWAY, when you two are finally together, just imagine all of the shenanigans you get up to. now that padme has you, she is 80% more likely to do undercover work that stresses out bail but makes you very happy.

honestly you two are a power couple and the world better watch out.
