some frequently asked questions so you don't have to fill up my inbox with them

scripting™ my answer to most questions about scripting will almost always be "it doesn't matter." scripting is a personal preference. there's no such thing as scripting "too much" or "too little"; you don't even need a script. there is no right or wrong. do what you want. as to how i script: i use notion and pinterest.

what method do you use? unless you count law of assumption as a method, i don't use one.

how do you feel about others having the same s/o as you? i don't care. as long as you're not being weird about it (aka. trying to talk about them sexually to me, etc.), i don't have a problem with it.

what is law of assumption? law of assumption (loa) is a concept popularised by neville goddard. it's a principle based on the idea that your external reality is shaped by your internal beliefs and assumptions. you'll hear about this a lot on mine and other shiftblr blogs as it's a very popular belief in the community.

shifting terminology here's the basics: loa = law of assumption dr = desired reality cr = current reality wr = waiting room

can you bring things from dr to cr? surprisingly i had a lot of people asking me this? i blame shifttok. it is impossible to bring things from your dr to your cr. they are different physical realms. no you can't take a photo and bring it back, and if anyone says they have, they're a dirty little liar. the only way this could technically happen is if you shift to a different “cr” where this is somehow possible.

where have you shifted? i've currently only shifted to hogwarts, the walking dead, and my jackass/2000's fame dr.

I figured I would make a post about the most frequently asked questions (and other useful information) now that episodes 1 and 2 are out and the status quo has been set up.

General Questions:

Q: When do you update the comic?

A: Tuesday (at around noon, give or take), and occasionally on Friday at the same time.

Q: Can I create fan art for your comic?

A: Yes! All fan art is welcome.

Q: Where do you post your comic?

Q: Will you post your comic on Instagram?

A: No (cuz of the stinky AI and the formatting).

Q: Can I repost your comic in [x] language on [x] website?

I’m completely cool with anyone posting my comic translated in another language (with credit of course). I only ask that 1. You ask me first (I’ll most likely say yes), and 2. Only post it on Tumblr or Instagram. This is because I don’t currently feel comfortable with my content being shared around on platforms I’m not on, and therefore can’t view easily- keeping things “local” for now would be much appreciated!

Q: Will you change any of the kwami’s initial power sets to be different from canon?

A: No

Romance Questions:

Q: Who's in love with who?

A: Marinette likes Adrien, Adrien likes Noire, and Lila "likes" Adrien.

Q: Will you ship Lila and Marinette in this AU?

A: No

Meta and World Building Questions:

Q: How many episodes will there be?

A: 10 per season. There will be 4 seasons. So 40 episodes plus an epilogue and joke updates here and there, probably.

Q: Are characters getting new outfits for every episode?

A: More or less, although there will be some repeats, and a lot of characters will mix and match clothing articles in their wardrobe. I try to keep the outfit somewhat thematic to the episode/situation. Characters change outfits every time there's a new day in the comic- I want the outfit changes to be reminiscent of how we change our clothing day to day in real life.

Q: Will the episodes you cover be in the same order as cannon’s version of the episodes?

A: Kind of, but honestly not really. I kinda just do whatever I feel would be best for the story.

Q: Will you include the world special's content in your au?

A: I will not be including the London, USA, or Shanghai specials in my au. I might do a one off comic for the Paris special though.

Q: Why did Bunnyx pick Lila for the ladybug miraculous?

A: It will be explained in the comic (eventually).

Q: How does time travel with Bunnyx work in your AU?

A: The idea is that there are many different time lines present in each universe. So the cannon universe would have multiple timelines, the re-verse would have multiple timelines, and Coccinella universe also has multiple time lines. Every time a change is made to a timeline (by going back in time or forward in time to "fix" it), it splits off and forms a new timeline (the not fixed timeline still exists too). I created a helpful graphic that you can check out here.

Science AU FAQ !

What is this AU about?

“As war continues to rage on planet Cybertron, A desperate Optimus Prime entrusts Autobot scientist Jetfire and his team of scientists the task of restoring life to their dying planet as they battle against the Decepticons.”

Head Scientist Jetfire is assigned a team of Autobot scientists (consisting of Wheeljack, Ratchet, and Perceptor) to restore a dying Cybertron. They're stationed on the Autobot science base located on Luna 2 with the only functioning Space Bridge. Before they can make any progress, the Decepticons storm Luna 2 and force the science team to make a hasty escape through the Space Bridge. They end up on a nameless moon, devoid of life. This moon is dubbed Ambition by the Science Team and they are forced to temporarily station themselves. Not only do they have to restore Cybertron but now they are saddled with another task, finding a way back home.

It is important to note, this AU is split into two different narratives that happen at the same time ! (To be expanded upon)

Also important to note that this AU is its own continuity and does not feature IDW related events some ideas and character commonalities are inspired by multiple different continuities but overall this is disconnected from other TF universes.

Some characters have different personalities (Perceptor being more inspired by his G1 counterpart than his IDW version) different backstories and lore (Brainstorm's backstory and lore not involving Quark) and different alt modes (Brainstorm being a triple changer; First Aid being a motorcycle, etc)

Why is it called the Science AU?

It's called the Science AU because the protagonists are scientists, not because I included every scientist in the AU </3

How do Prowl and Brainstorm get stuck with them/Why are they stuck working together?

After the scientists are compromised on Luna 2, Prowl takes the situation into his own hands. He recruits the help of Brainstorm, imprisoned for treason and dangerous experimenting. In exchange for Brainstorm's help locating the lost science team and bringing them home, Prowl promises Brainstorm freedom. For a majority of the story, Brainstorm wears a stasis collar as an incentive. With it on, Brainstorm is unable to transform. Prowl and Brainstorm meet up with the other scientists later on in the AU's timeline but prior, they spend time on Cybertron with Nautica, Nightbeat, and the other Autobots.

*Note: The relationship between Prowl and Brainstorm is not romantic, there's a lot of unlabeled tension between them though it's more like next level haters, a secret third thing if you will.

What's going on back on Cybertron?

Back on Cybertron, Brainstorm has entrusted his best friend (well.. They're on rocky terms since Brainstorm's downhill spiral) Nautica with his return plans. Science AU Cybertron is intended to be somewhat of an anthology featuring short stories from both Autobot and Decepticon sides and how they are dealing with Cybertron's gradual decay as well as how they are doing with the war. Nautica and Nightbeat reoccur the most out of everyone and the overarching narrative mostly follows them as they descend lower and lower into Cybertron's dying underbelly.

Is ___ in this AU?

Here's the Autobot list of characters ! Decepticon character list is still a WIP ! If a name isn't listed, then it's unlikely they're in this AU

Will everyone included have their own short story/narrative?

Unfortunately no </3 some characters will simply be in the background. I have so many characters I'm working with and I want to get this AU done eventually. I'm limiting myself on what and who I want to include in major subplots etc.

Is ___ ship included in this AU?

Also unlikely </3 I am the worst transformers fan ever. I don't have many ships included, shipping/romance is not my primary focus in this AU. There's past Skystar but they do not get back together and none of the main scientists end up in a relationship by the end of this AU. I'm not here to spoil anyone's fun though, in the end we are all playing with toys and the audience is free to interpret character relationships how they wish (within reason)

Are Humans or Earth featured in this AU?

This continuity does not feature any humans and does not feature Earth. References to Earth related things (media and swears) will be made (mostly for comedy) but overall, this is a story about Cybertronians.

Will this be a Fanfic or Webcomic?

I’m not making a full-blown webcomic or anything, I'm treating this AU like a show pitch. I’ll have an outline for the timeline / episodic summaries of what happens when I finish this Pitch bible with illustrations and such ! I will be drawing short comics and other illustrations featuring character interactions + major moments I want to emphasize visually. I do this for funsies on my free time so I may be slow when it comes to that and also don’t expect anything really grand, I apologize !

What is a Big Bang?

A Big Bang is a fandom event wherein writers and artists come together to create! Typically, a writer will create a fic that meets a certain minimum length requirement, and an artist will create an art piece based upon that work. Writers and artists are paired up to work on their parts until the posting date, where the pieces are posted together!

Who can participate?

Any fans of the Stobotnik pairing are more than welcome to participate! This includes writers and artists, but we are also looking for beta readers and moderators. Currently, there is no cutoff for the number of participants.

How do I join?

Currently, sign-ups are closed. The first round of sign-ups was for writers, followed by artist and beta readers, who may input preferences for which project they would like to work on.

What happens after I sign up?

You will be contacted in DMs with the link to a Discord server, which will be the main hub for communication and check-ins. A Discord account will most likely be required for your participation in the event, but we are currently looking at possible alternative forms of communication if enough people request it.

Can I write/draw NSFW?

As long as you are over 18, yes! There will be a question within the application to confirm you are 18 or older; if you lie about this to us, you will be removed from the event. It is also required that writing and art of this nature is appropriately tagged and warned upon posting.

Can I participate as both an artist and writer?

No. For the sake of us here in the mod team and everyone participating, it is far easier if each person only does one thing, so you will need to pick one or the other.

Is there a theme?

There is no theme; if we run another event in future, there may be, but for the 2025 Big Bang, there's no theme, so go wild!

SUMMARY

During one of their visits to the Dark World, Kris and Susie find that two humans had mysteriously appeared from seemingly nowhere. FAQ'S AND CLARIFICATIONS

When does the comic upload?

Ideally, every Saturday at 1AM CST …. But you know… Life can get in the way sometimes!

When does Fractured take place?

The beginning of this comic begins after the events of Deltarune chapter 3, and eventually branches off into it's own route.

How does controlling the KFC gang work?

At the beginning of this AU, Kris is controlled by one player while Frisk and Chara are controlled by another. The connection to these two players are eventually lost/corrupted leaving the three open to any and all players (you, the readers) to take control or influence their actions. The words you comment on posts, the questions you ask, and the answers you give in polls can impact what happens in the story. Not everything will have an influence but it will always have a chance to. Occasionally, players will be in control of the actions of characters for a limited amount of time. How this works is certain pages will be captioned with who you are controlling and instructions you need to follow. Players will submit what they would like said character to do through asks and I will pick a handful that will occur until they are disconnected from you (I do tend to get quite a bit of submissions so I will not be able to use all of them, please understand that).

How will you know what has influenced the story?

I will respond directly stating that it will have an impact. Most of the time I will state how it will influence the story, however, I do want to keep some things secret occasionally.

How do the players communicate to Kris, Frisk and Chara?

Players are able to communicate to them primarily through any screen such as a tv, computer, phone, ect. On occasion they can communicate to them via ominous voices inside their heads. Primarily Frisk will only hear the player. Kris and Chara will primarily be communicated through messages. Otherwise, players can not directly interact with their world and will not have a physical appearance. I should also add that only the KFC gang and V are able to see or hear the players' messages. No one else is able to.

RULES FOR ASKS & INFLUENCING THE STORY

In this AU, Frisk and Chara are 12 while Kris is 17. THEY ARE ALL NONBINARY so anything inappropriate, rude, or offensive will be deleted immediately.

I’m trying to stay as canon as possible, however, if your ask includes fangames or other AU’s (ex: Undertale Red and Yellow) I will try to work it into the story if I can. I’m not very knowledgeable about other AU’s but I’m willing to at least try.

Considering that I’m basically running both an ask blog and uploading a comic, I may not be able to answer right away. Please be patient with me, I’m doing my best over here…

'Is antiblackness really that bad in the asexual/aspec community/why does antiblackness even happen in the asexual community?'

Well... yes! It is bad. And it *does* happen. To put it simply, antiblackness is global and exists in every community, including the queer community and yes, even in the asexual and general aspec community. I'm sharing examples of this that has happened and still happens to me and other Black aspecs in #antiblackness in the ace community and #antiblackness in the aspec community

'I'm Black but I'm not asexual, can I follow?' Yes. If you are Black aroallo you are also welcome to follow. But I ask you don't leave any anti-asexual comments here. Black asexuals are fully aware of the antiblackness in the asexual community but at the end of the day this is still our sexuality. Help us speak up about it but please don't use it to justify bigotry towards our asexuality.

'Why can Black allosexuals follow but not white/non Black asexuals?' Because as Black asexuals we have shared experiences with other Black people. They're our friends, family and community members. Whilst anti-asexual rhetoric does exist in Black spaces it's objectively less common and less severe than the antiblackness we get from white and non-Black asexuals. White and non Black asexuals are still fully capable of enacting antiblackness regardless of their sexuality. And frankly, Black allosexuals/non-asexuals don't tend to cause any issues on here.

'I'm biracial/mixed race can I follow/Am I "Black enough" to follow' Yes mixed Black asexuals can follow. I'm not doing 'are mixed people Black' discourse because I'm grown. In the Black British community we usually separate Black and mixed as different labels so I use these labels too however mixed people are usually in Black spaces, we just say they're mixed. That being said it's not my responsibility to validate people's Blackness. Whether or not you choose to identify as Black is something you will have to personally figure out.

“Can I use your art for profile pictures?”

“Do you take requests?”

Technically, no. I don’t take requests. Although if I see a mention of a story or characters that I like it’s possible that they might appear in my sketches or illustrations! I actually have a list of many book characters I want to get to that people happen to comment as well 😂

“What digital brushes do you use?”

For procreate I use Old Beach, 6B Pencil, and my own brushes from my brush pack! (Linked in bio)

“When will you draw more _____?”

If you’ve followed me for a particular fan art or subject I’m sorry to disappoint 😂 All of my fan art works are very random and come and go with whatever inspires me at that moment.

“What inspired your art style?”

Currently my works are very inspired by vintage children’s and editorial illustration! Specifically 1920s to 1960s.

Hello readers! I've assembled this list of frequently asked questions which also includes some questions that don't get asked a lot but I still want to make clear.

Why is MC genderlocked/Will you consider making MC gender selectable?

I will not be making MC gender selectable. I know this is disappointing for a lot of people, but there are several reasons why I am set on this, so if playing a F!MC is a deal breaker, I hope you can find another game you enjoy. My reasons for genderlocking MC are a mix between technical, personal preference, and vision/plot/worldbuilding. Technically speaking, since this is my first game, I didn't want to make myself overwhelmed, so one of the ways I tried to limit the scope of the game is by keeping MC genderlocked. Preferencewise, I just wanted to write a story that was a female MC romancing men. In terms of plot and vision, I dont think the story would work with a gender selectable MC. Primarily because the emperor would never propose a marriage between MC and his son if MC was male as Nytheris doesn't have legal same sex marriage. While it may not seem like a big deal to take away the arranged marriage and have MC adopted outright or intergrated into the imperial family some other way, the coming chapters will have a lot of plot points that depend on the arranged marriage aspect. (And I couldn't just gender swap Lukyan because I'd also have to gender swap Tzesar and it would change a lot of the politics withing the imperial family.) I also wanted one of the themes of the story to be about angency, and have MC wrestle with how much control she really has over her own life. It's part of why the early chapters have a lot of other people making her deicisons for her. Due to how gendered Nytherian society is, I thought this theme was better explored with a female character. So those are my reasons, and I hope this is a good enough explaination of why I'm unwilling to budge on this.

2. Will you consider adding a female RO/making the RO's gender selectable?

The short answer is no. For the gender selectable issue in particular, I don't like gender selectable characters in IF, I know a lot of authors/readers prefer them, but I've always felt that characters with set genders are more fleshed out. I also don't want to deal with coding gender selectable characters. But this really comes down to, as I said above, I really wanted my first story to be a FMC with male RO's. I know that's not for everybody and I'm okay with that.

3. Do I have to romance anyone?

No, you don't. I'm still deciding how the nonromance route will look, but most likely when the other MC's get an RO scene, you'll get a friendhsip scene with Mercy instead.

4. What is your ask policy?

In gerneral, just be respectful. Thankfully, this hasn't really been a problem thus far. I do my best to answer every ask as soon as I can. Currently, my queue is set to release five asks a day and is backed up an entire week. The only things that I may refuse to answer are code diving questions or NSFW. If you have a question about the code, I'd prefer you DM me, there are a lot of details in the code, that I don't want to be public yet, and in some cases, it's organized in a way that will only make sense in my brain, and no one else's. If there is an error in the code that need to be adressed please use the bug report form linked in the intro post, so I can adress it privately. Sometimes if something is vague enough, or I want to make sure it's clear, I will answer them, but in general, I probably won't. As for NSFW, my relationship with these is complicated. Mild/nonexplicit is probably okay, but nothing too detailed or explicit (such as asking about specific kinks). I know that's really vague, but in general, please just use your best judgement. If I find too many asks are crossing my boundaries, I'll switch to a blanket no NSFW policy, but so far you've all been very respectful, so I'm willing to take it ask by ask for now. If an NSFW question makes me too uncomfortable, I'll just delete it. As a side note, any NSWF content in the book will be fade to black. I'm just not comfortable writing smut.

5. Will we get to see Oren and Samira again?

All I'm willing to say on this is that you will get to see one of them again.

6. Will Luk take a second wife if married to MC?/ Would Luk be forced to take a second wife under x circumstances?

If married to MC, Luk will not take a second wife. The only exception is if their relationship is completely platonic, and MC is unwilling to have an heir.

I haven't yet started to post my art but since it could represent a potential small soucre of income, I started scanning my old art to either post it as is or/and paint over them digitally to properly set up my account.

D'abord merci pour ton autre message j'apprécie vraiment le soutient. Je vais raconter un peu dans les grandes lignes comment ça s'est déroulé. J'ai toujours voulu vendre mais je n'avais pas assez confiance en moi et à chaque fois je me décourageais vite. En début d'année j'ai tenté une connerie et je suis à ce jour toujours en arrêt. Sur conseil du psychiatre, elle m'a conseillé de faire ça pendant que j'étais à la maison.

Au début, je passais par pixarprinting pour les impressions (et d'ailleurs je ferai toujours du restock pour les grands formats sur ce site) Une de mes meilleure amie passait par Bigcartel pour l'hébergement, après tu édites ton site selon ton esthétique.

Évidemment c'est une organisation car les commandes m'ont permis d'agrandir l'activité. J'ai pu investir dans le matériel mais il y a des indispensable (les wraps pour emballer, les enveloppes etc. car lors de l'envoi on veut protéger le print de la pluie par exemple) Commander sur internet est onéreux donc j'ai décidé d'investir (et l'investissement est assez conséquent) une nouvelle imprimante Canon Pixma Pro a pu être acheté, une massicot pour les ajustements car maintenant je peux faire des impressions à la maison. Regarde l'immense bordel que j'ai haha mais tout est trié, classé, et c'est super important d'avoir une organisation sinon on peut être facilement être submergé.

Le soutient fort que j'ai reçu m'a permis d'acquérir ce bébé, la cricut pour les stickers. C'est ce qui m'a permis d'agrandir le côté merchandize et personnaliser à fond mes créations, l'emballage.

Pour ce qui est du site, toujours sur Bigcartel, tu établis le paypal en mode business et si tu veux mettre plus de choses sur ton catalogue tu payes 15 euros par mois mais gratuitement tu peux mettre au max 6 prints ce qui est respectable pour commencer doucement. Tu choisis ton thème, tes couleurs vraiment tu te fais plaisir sur ce côté là. En fait, assure toi que tes créations soient quali niveau impression, genre ce que je me dis quand je fais mes trucs c'est me poser la question "Est ce c'est valable ? Est ce que je peux les vendre ?" et si les standards sont pas bon, je recommence. De manière général des A4 ou A5 en format et entre 260 et 300 pour le grammage papier.

Après tu dois aussi vendre tes créations donc pour tout ce qui concerne la promotion c'est bien d'avoir plusieurs réseaux sociaux et de build une communauté. J'espère que j'ai pu t’aiguiller un peu, je dois t'avouer pour moi aussi c'est récent et il m'arrive de faire des erreurs mais on apprends au fur et à mesure, il faut être patient.
