Statistical analysis of the most popular A:TLA fics on AO3
(All of this is accurate as of May 27 2024)
I like numbers and statistical analysis and for some unfathomable reason I find it calming. So last night I made this spreadsheet!
DISCLAIMER: This is not a judgement of the quality, value, or merits of any of the fics on this list. It's just me being curious about what's popular with the A:TLA fandom on AO3. I was genuinely surprised at some of the results!
Observations and analysis under the cut:
TL:DR, the fandom fucking loves putting Zuko into Situations.
Methodology: I'm including all fics from the first page of results from the most kudos'd, commented, hits, and bookmarks tagged under the Avatar: The Last Airbender (cartoon, 2005) tag on ao3. I am deliberately not including any larger multifandom flash fiction or drabble collections because I don't think they're super relevant. This ended up including 38 fics in total.
I put all the fics into one single spreadsheet in order to compare the differences between fics that are really high on the kudos count but not the hit count, or what has a lot of comments but fewer hits. Basically, I'm throwing a lot of things together to observe what gets engagement and looking at patterns that emerge!
Top 5 most popular fics by hit count:
Salvage - MuffinLance
Fractures - EvieNyx
Embers- Vathara
Towards the Sun - MuffinLance
The Art Of Burning - hella1975
Max: 1,407,170 (Salvage -MuffinLance)
Min: 78,168 (Risking it all - Sreeder)
Average: 349,442
Top 5 most popular fics by kudos count:
Salvage - MuffinLance
The Family You Choose - TunaFishChris
where the stars do not take sides - WitchofEndor
Fractures - EvieNyx
The beginning of a new and brighter birth - aloneintherain
Max: 59,947 (Salvage - MuffinLance)
Min: 3293 (Risking it all - Sreeder)
Average: 19,868
Top 5 most popular fics by number of comments:
The Art Of Burning - hella1975
Salvage - MuffinLance
Fractures - EvieNyx
Towards the Sun - MuffinLance
War Games - Lovely_Elbow_Leech
Max: 13,469 (The Art Of Burning - hella1975)
Min: 358 (Hallowed - Haircrescendo)
Average: 3634
Top 5 most popular fics by number of bookmarks:
absence of heat, excess of destiny - theycallmesuperboy
Salvage - MuffinLance
where the stars do not take sides - WitchofEndor
The Family You Choose - TunaFishChris
The beginning of a new and brighter birth - aloneintherain
Max: 150,317 (absence of heat - theycallmesuperboy)
Min: 430 (Risking it all - Sreeder)
Average: 9297
Highest kudos/hit ratio: Safety First - Haircrescendo (20.36%)
Lowest kudos/hit ratio: My Heart Burns For You - alwaysZutarian (0.89%)
Average kudos/hit ratio: 8.25%
Fic Ratings:
G: 9
T: 18
M: 6
E: 2
Unrated: 3
Popular authors (people who showed up more than once):
Aloneintherain (3)
Haircrescendo (5)
MuffinLance (4)
WitchofEndor (2)
Characters:
Literally all of these fics are Zuko-centric. Not all of them are Zuko-pov but every. single. one. focuses on Zuko as a main character. At least one of the following tags is on every single fic in this list: "The Gaang & Zuko", "Zuko & Zuko's Crew", "Zuko & Iroh" "Zuko & Azula" and "Zuko & [insert gaang member here]"
Relationships:
Ok this is what actually shocked me the most. I fully expected to see more Kataang, Zutara, etc in the top rated fics, but NO! Only 21 out of the 38 fics had any relationship slash tag, and of those, 20/21 were Sokka/Zuko (shoutout to My Heart Burns For You as the token Zutara fic to make it into this list). I did NOT realize Zukka was so popular! Now I'm super curious about what it would be like to run these numbers on FF.net because I know so much A:tla fanfic was written before ao3 existed and most hasn't been cross-posted, and Zukka wasn't a popular ship until more recently.
Other random observations:
There seems to be a pretty even split between post-canon firelord Zuko fics and canon-divergent "Zuko joins the Gaang early" fics.
Only one modern au as far as I could tell! (shoutout to "The Good Vanilla")
We all seem to love a Dadkoda fic
There is a very strong correlation between one-shots and a high kudos/hit ratio.
Seemingly no correlation between word count and number of kudos. The top kudos'd stories were mostly under 10k words, while all the other catergories were dominated by fics in the 100k+ word count.
I didn't really see much correlation between hits, kudos, and comments overall.
There were LOTS of fics that only showed up in one category, which was really interesting! I figured each list would look pretty much the same, and there were several fics that did show up on the front page of every category (Salvage definitely sweeps the board for overall most popular fic), but there was a lot of variation between each list! Some fics had TONS of hits but very few comments, some had truly wild kudos/hit ratios, some were just massively bookmarked.
Thank you for indulging in my nerdiness, and feel free to tell me what I missed or anything you're curious about!
Update: I did it again, this time with Legend of Zelda

Mummy of Pacheri
According to the results of an X-ray analysis, this mummy is that of an adult man. His name, written hastily, can be read as either Pacheri or Nenu; the interpretation is still uncertain.
The mummy is a perfect example for anyone wanting to understand the technique of embalming, and that is probably why it attracts such fascination from visitors. It is often showcased as part of the museum's extensive collection of Egyptian antiquities.
Ptolemaic Period, ca. 305-30 BC. Now in the Louvre. the Louvre. N 2627

Happy 9th Anniversary!
In 2016, Wooden Ocean was released onto the internet. Since then, Leif Ian Anderson, the dev, has been working on the game for the past 9 years, now going on 10 years. I only came to know about this game a year ago due to Worm Girl analysis video - so unfortunately I didn’t get to have the early Wooden Ocean Development experience like a handful of people who have stuck around for years or have more recently came back to the game.
To commemorate today, I have commissioned a good friend of mine, @thewizardlywyrm (aka Cas), to make this artwork using watercolors.
Tumblr media
On top of being an amazing artist, Cas is also a florist and shared the flowers they have picked for Violet’s bouquet.
Flower choices and meaning from Cas:
🪻Violet - on the nose, but 1) I had to it and 2) they're generally seen as mystical flowers with strong spiritual/otherworldly ties, so for a witch, it seemed fitting!
🪻Delphinium - (it's more commonly blue, but does have purple/lilac coloured variants) and most often resembles steadfastness, particularly in reaching goals or certain ends, which in a meta context could also resemble the average RPG player- but overall from my understanding of the story, could tie in to the protags' quest/search for answers/etc.
🪻 Forget-me-not - also a liiittle on the nose for Violet, but they symbolise love and remembrance, particularly of lost loved ones, though in this case we could probably extrapolate the past, general existential ennui and remembrance of times and lives from much, much further back
🪻 Iris - courage and hope, again coming at this a little rusty-brained, but when you suggested irises, I really wanted them in there! I'm a little biased 'cos I like working with them when we get them! Which isn't often, but they're really beautiful! They also symbolise wisdom, so for Violet in particular, maybe this could circle back around to wisdom of magic and the arcane, or maybe gaining wisdom as she goes through her journey.
🪻 Stock - I did really pick this one because it was the first, dark-purple flower that I thought of immediately! We get it in all the time and I love using it, even though it wilts a little faster, kinda like hydrangea. I did learn that it usually represents finding joy in life, despite difficulties, so perhaps there's something there! It's also just a nice purple plant! The greenery is mostly palms and ruscus, because I like using those for wrap jobs when I have 'em! They're sturdy and stay good for ages and ages out of water!
Along with this artwork, I had written the messages and printed out fanart that was sent to me from the Google Form. I would like to thank everyone that participated and I know Leif will be extremely happy receiving your gifts!
Tumblr media
If you had sent message, I had also asked for people to pick an element with no context. Here are those results:
1st: Thread (5 votes)
2nd: Acid - Arcane - Expression (2 votes each)
3rd: Fire - Philistine - Lightning (1 vote each)
Thank you to the murdas that sent fan art! I have printed these bad boys at a Walgreens and have packed them with everything else for Leif’s hands to physically hold them. A digital file was also sent to Leif of all these fanarts as well.
Tumblr media
*This isn’t the artwork that will be sent to Leif - I has forgotten to take a picture of the watercolor artwork before I packed it due to me stressing over getting it sent along with 4th of July stuff.
Top: by crash0114
Left: by card freak
Middle: by @thewizardlywyrm
Right: by @flaccidbugs
Thank you once again for all you murdas for being here in the Infinite Hotel and I do hope you will continue to enjoy your stay for centuries to come.
One more public announcement!
We are finally announcement the Wooden Ocean Wiki! Even though this was a year in a making, there is still a ton of missing information we have not gotten to put up on the wiki.
We welcome murdas to make contributitions to the wiki, but please make sure it reflects from the **current patch** of the game and make pages with spoiler warnings when possible. I am one of the admins of the wiki so you do have any questions, I will answer them to the best of my abilities. You can leave questions in the Wocean Discord forum under “Wooden Ocean Wiki” OR you can leave a message for me on the Wooden Ocean Wiki directly here if you don’t have a discord.

Seeing as you provide every interesting in depth spn analysis I'm probably coming to the wrong person for something so possibly surface level but I'm rewatching spn and would really love something to keep notes on, so is there any interesting phenomena in there you think would be worth keeping an eye on?
i received this, like, a month ago 🥴 sorry. anyway.
so, first of all. i'm flattered but i have also always been a little uncomfortable with the superlatives people attach to my name. the reason people think of me as some kind of spn scholar is a result of four factors, give or take: first, i make a lot of posts. in the year after november fifth i made something like five thousand posts. i know because i tag all my spn posts spn. and a lot of those posts were half a sentence! or an ask i answered with emojis! but it's still a lot of posts. the second reason is that i'm kind of a last man standing. a lot of the big name post-nov fifth destiel fandom crowd has kind of evaporated in search of newer, shinier things; my fascination was more enduring, so i still get the credit. the third reason has to do with like... i have slightly different tastes than the average spn fandom person and so the things i pay attention to are different and so my takes are unique. there were a lot of blogs that were bigger than me that people don't remember as much because their takes were more in line with conventional fanon (and therefore more similar to other people's and less memorable), whereas mine, because i have specific interests and am an incurable contrarian, were more unique and therefore people remembered who i was. fourth, and here we are down to the meat of the issue, i speak very authoritatively and use a lot of big words when i'm excited about something so people think i'm right.
i guess what i'm saying is don't take me so seriously.
now that my narcissism is out of the way, let's talk about themes in supernatural.
first of all, the thing about supernatural is that it has three hundred and twenty seven episodes organized into fifteen seasons, written by fifty three different writers supervised by four different showrunners and that's just the writing! that doesn't even mention directing, or acting, or producing... personally i like to say that i can feel when the story editor changes! so there really is... almost nothing you can get out of the whole show as a text that isn't incredibly broad and/or vague and/or boring. "they say family a lot" yeah they sure do. "it's a reactionary macho fantasy" like every other show from 2005. "they kill all the women" mmmmhm. like, basically every consistent element of spn as a story is a result of either classic genre cliches from the scifi or procedural or teenie bopper genres, very basic conclusions from the premise, or just the material nature of the behind the scenes of supernatural. they're going on a case instead of working on the main apocalypse of the season because this is a monster of the week show. cas has gone away again because they don't want to pay misha collins. quiet emotional scenes get dropped from the script because they don't serve the plot. and while there's some interesting things you can get out of these elements - one piece of analysis i've been thinking about a lot lately is this video about the mcu that argues that the classic serialized storytelling logic of constant escalation leads inherently to a fascist politics, and i think this point applies very well to supernatural - it only goes so far. it's interesting if you want to look at how the show exists in the wider politics of the real world. it's not that interesting if you want to sit with the show supernatural in its particular uniqueness.
so basically my recommendation, first of all, is to divide the show up into chunks. there are some obvious chunks - by season, by showrunner. most people do these. i would also recommend other methods, for example tying together some adjacent seasons. for example, even though season eleven is technically carver era and season twelve is technically dabb era, i would argue that seasons eleven and twelve have more in common in terms of tone and style than eleven has with 8/9/10 or twelve has with 13/14/15. seasons four, five, and six have a lot in common in terms of tone and themes that they don't share with seven or the first three. i would also recommend paying attention to the individual writers; their bodies of work will usually have more in common with themselves than with the episodes around them in terms of character, tone, and theme. for example, in season six, ben edlund creates a whole other arc about the angel civil war that he wants the season to have that exists only in his episodes, and none of the other writers really pick up what he's putting down so he's kind of left hanging. you can see all sorts of patterns like this if you sit down and look, and i would recommend doing that. maybe you can be the first guy to memorize all the directors and have Thoughts.
and then the next thing i would say is just... pick some themes you want to iterate on. so for example: one of my favorite themes to contemplate is a theme that season six almost has - dean believing that it is his job to protect ben and lisa, which justifies anything he might want to do to them, or anyone else.

man everything above that line is an ask i half answered then forgot about in july of 2023. i NEED to check my drafts more often

Won't someone think of the egg prices!
By John Lindt
KERN COUNTY – The price of eggs is often used as a barometer for the economy, but this fall’s high prices are not the work of market factors, but rather migratory flights.
Avian flu is spreading along the path of birds’ southern migration for winter across California. As of Nov. 12, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) reported that a large egg ranch in Kern County has been impacted by bird flu resulting in the destruction of 2.15 million egg layers. This is the first case of HPAI in Kern County during the 2022-24 bird flu outbreak as it spread south heading into winter. Kern County is home to some of the state’s largest egg ranch operations.
The same day USDA also announced that avian flu hit two Fresno County poultry ranches, one a broiler ranch resulting in the killing of 237,700 chickens being prepped for meat and a turkey ranch requiring the destruction of 34,800 toms, or male turkeys. The news follows recent reports about avian flu spreading to Kings County poultry ranches resulting in the loss of over half a million birds and at another Fresno ranch. On Nov. 14, USDA added three more poultry ranches to the list of affected including one in Merced County, a turkey ranch with the loss of 53,200 birds and another one in Fresno County.
The locations of the poultry ranches are not far from the Pacific flyway, a major migratory route in the Western United States. In the case of Kern County, the egg ranch was close to the Kern Wildlife Refuge as well as nearby dairies. This is worrying observers that there appears to be a connection between all three vectors for the rapidly mutating virus.
Northern California poultry operations have been hard hit as well. Nationwide, outbreaks have claimed more than 21 million hens, so far in 2024.
Egg Prices In California the impact on egg prices has been significant.
On Nov. 13, the USDA reported that a dozen large, white cage-free eggs cost about $5.26 per dozen in California. This is according to USDA market data for the week of Nov. 8. USDA says this is a “benchmark” price. The price is up from $2.81 a month earlier. That is almost double the benchmark, but may not reflect retail.
The last time California eggs were this high was in February when California egg prices – cage-free egg prices – peaked at $5.59 per dozen.
The cases of infected birds correspond with fall bird migrations that are spreading the virus throughout the state. Detections are higher in fall and spring as wild birds spread the virus when they migrate. This year the bird flu has taken its toll with the outbreak of H5N1, a highly transmissible and fatal strain of avian influenza, or bird flu. The outbreak started in early 2022 and rapidly grew into the largest bird flu outbreak in U.S. history.
Most recently, outbreaks affecting more than 2.84 million egg layers were reported in October at commercial facilities in Oregon, Washington and Utah, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
As of Nov. 8, the virus has affected over 105.2 million birds in the U.S. since January 2022, according to the CDC. The California egg shortage will likely have a pocketbook impact on holiday baking activity as the nation prepares for Thanksgiving; however, a recent USDA analysis suggests consumers may not see a huge jump.
“Large volume grocery retailers across the nation have launched their shell egg feature campaigns targeting holiday demand at relatively attractive price levels. Much of this is attributable to changes in the way shell eggs are being marketed with an increasing share (estimated at over half of all shell egg volume sold at retail) tied to production cost agreements not prone to fluctuation common in formula trading.”
There are about 378.5 million egg-laying chickens in the US. As of last year, there were 9.4 billion broiler chickens and 218 million turkeys processed, according to the USDA. Advocates note the high cost of the influenza just in the egg market. “With domestic sales of shell eggs and products amounting to seven billion dozen, consumers paid an incremental $15 billion as a result of the prolonged and uncontrolled infection.”
While bird flu is impacting poultry farms, another strain of the virus has impacted Central Valley dairies as well, spreading quickly since September to 291 dairy farms as of press time. Unlike poultry, dairy cows typically survive the virus, although milk production is expected to be impacted.
Avian flu is a worldwide phenomenon. In the past two weeks, the first cases of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) of the fall season have been reported in Albania, Great Britain, Romania, and now regions of Germany and Ukraine.
Despite the increase in US egg prices this holiday season, turkey prices are down from last year when supply was also affected by bird flu. Across the country, a 15-pound turkey costs an average of $31.16 ($2.08 per pound) in 2024, compared with $35.40 ($2.36 per pound) in 2023. That price reduction represents a price decrease of 12% from last year to now,” a report said. The lower price comes even as a U.S. Department of Agriculture report showed turkey production dipped more than 6% compared to this time last year.
Hen and Hoof The spread of this strain of the virus appears to be affecting both the Central Valley poultry and dairy industries at the same time.
Just before Sept. 1 there were no reports of the virus in the Valley’s dairy industry. But as of Nov. 15, there are almost 300 diaries, mostly in Tulare and Kings Counties, impacted with new ones being added every day.
The Valley poultry industry has been on a similar viral timeline which coincides with the annual bird migration along the Pacific flyway that happens each fall. H5N1 largely infects wild birds, with waterfowl such as ducks and geese being the natural reservoirs for H5N1 viruses. Most H5N1 viruses are highly pathogenic avian influenza, meaning spillovers into other bird populations can lead to high mortality rates, including domesticated poultry.
A compounding factor for the spread of the virus is that both livestock are often on land located right next door or just down the road. The Central Valley is home for both industries with animals, transported in and out, and service vehicles going in and out of these large facilities every day.
The industry website Egg-News this week pointed out that research shows that the infections can be transmitted over a distance of up to a mile while attached to dust particles. Fall is harvest for a number of crops, including the nut industry, sending up plumes of dust in the Valley sky, at times associated with winds.
Egg-News points out that dairy cow-associated H5N1 viruses have jumped back into wild birds, and recent outbreaks in domestic poultry resembled H5N1 in dairy cows.
In an editorial Egg-News said “APHIS Needs a New Approach to Control HPAIr.” They recommend that USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) adopt vaccination as a disease control strategy for bird flu, with promising results from clinical trials. In May 2023, the U.S. authorized the vaccination of California condors against a type of avian flu.
Also, the USDA has approved field trials to test vaccines that could prevent dairy cows from getting the H5N1 strain of bird flu. The USDA approved the first field trials for the vaccine in September 2024. The USDA’s Center of Veterinary Biologics (CVB) is overseeing the trials. At least 24 companies are working on the vaccine, including Zoetis and Merck Animal Health.
If vaccines can save the U.S. poultry and dairy industry over the next year, the industry may have to worry about who heads up the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the agency which authorizes vaccines for animals and humans. Nominee Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. has made it clear he is anti-vaccine but has yet to comment on the use of vaccines in agriculture if he is confirmed for the role.

Chang'e-6 samples unlock secrets of the Moon’s farside
The Moon's near and far sides exhibit striking asymmetry—from topography and crustal thickness to volcanic activity—yet the origins of these differences long puzzled scientists. China's Chang'e-6 mission, launched on May 3, 2024, changed this by returning 1,935.3 grams of material from the lunar farside's South Pole–Aitken Basin (SPA), the Moon's largest, deepest, and oldest known impact structure, measuring 2,500 kilometers in diameter. The samples arrived on Earth on June 25, 2024.
Previous studies indicated that the SPA was formed by a colossal impact approximately 4.25 billion years ago, releasing energy greater than that of a trillion atomic bombs. But the effect of this impact on lunar geology and thermal evolution was one of planetary science's greatest unsolved questions until recently.
In the past year, research teams led by CAS institutions including the Institute of Geology and Geophysics (IGG) and the National Astronomical Observatories (NAOC), along with Nanjing University and others, have made four landmark discoveries based on the SPA samples. Their findings were published in four cover articles in the journal Nature.
According to Prof. WU Fuyuan, a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a researcher at IGG, the profound geological consequences of the impact that formed the SPA are, for the first time, revealed collectively in these four Nature papers.
The cover stories focus on the following areas:
Prolonged Volcanic Activity: Analysis identified two distinct volcanic phases on the lunar farside—4.2 billion and 2.8 billion years ago—indicating that volcanic activity persisted for at least 1.4 billion years, far longer than previously thought.
Fluctuating Magnetic Field: Measurements of paleomagnetic intensities in basalt clasts revealed a rebound in the Moon's magnetic field 2.8 billion years ago, suggesting that the lunar dynamo, which generates magnetic fields, fluctuated episodically rather than fading steadily.
Asymmetric Water Distribution: The farside mantle was found to have significantly lower water content than the nearside mantle, indicating that volatile elements are unevenly distributed within the lunar interior—adding another aspect to the Moon's asymmetry.
Mantle Depletion Signatures: Geochemical analysis of basalt points to an "ultra-depleted" mantle source, likely resulting from either a primordial depleted mantle or massive melt extraction triggered by large impacts. This highlights the role of major impacts in shaping the Moon's deep interior.
The first analysis of the samples was published by NAOC and its collaborators, detailing the samples' physical, mineralogical, and geochemical properties. The Guangzhou Institute of Geochemistry at CAS subsequently confirmed 2.8-billion-year-old farside volcanic activity, linking it to a highly depleted mantle. IGG, in turn, dated the SPA to 4.25 billion years ago, providing a critical reference point for studying early Solar System impacts.
These findings not only illuminate the evolution of the Moon's farside but also underscore the transformative impact of the Chang'e-6 mission, paving the way for deeper insights into planetary formation and evolution.

The Beauty of Xiaohe mummy (aka Little River Princess) ca. 1800–1500 BCE. Reconstruction of her face in first pic by TheHolyMountain on Reddit.
"The Tarim Basin, located on the ancient Silk Road, played a very important role in the history of human migration and cultural communications between the West and the East. However, both the exact period at which the relevant events occurred and the origins of the people in the area remain very obscure. In this paper, we present data from the analyses of both Y chromosomal and mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) derived from human remains excavated from the Xiaohe cemetery, the oldest archeological site with human remains discovered in the Tarim Basin thus far.
Mitochondrial DNA analysis showed that the Xiaohe people carried both the East Eurasian haplogroup (C) and the West Eurasian haplogroups (H and K), whereas Y chromosomal DNA analysis revealed only the West Eurasian haplogroup R1a1a in the male individuals.
Our results demonstrated that the Xiaohe people were an admixture from populations originating from both the West and the East, implying that the Tarim Basin had been occupied by an admixed population since the early Bronze Age. To our knowledge, this is the earliest genetic evidence of an admixed population settled in the Tarim Basin.
The Tarim Basin in western China, positioned at a critical site on the ancient Silk Road, has played a significant role in the history of human migration, cultural developments and communications between the East and the West. It became famous due to the discovery of many well-preserved mummies within the area. These mummies, especially the prehistoric Bronze Age 'Caucasoid' mummies, such as the 'Beauty of Loulan', have attracted extensive interest among scientists regarding who were these people and where did they come from.
Based on analyses of human remains and other archaeological materials from the ancient cemeteries (dated from approximately the Bronze Age to the Iron Age), there is now widespread acceptance that the first residents of the Tarim Basin came from the West. This was followed, in stages, by the arrival of Eastern people following the Han Dynasty."
-Evidence that a West-East admixed population lived in the Tarim Basin as early as the early Bronze Age, by Chunxiang Li, et al.

Hi! I'm rather sceptical of this article which claims that more porn = less rape and lists several studies (at the bottom of the page) as the author doesn't really bother to explain them properly, so I was hoping you could.
https://www.psychologytoday.com/ca/blog/all-about-sex/201601/evidence-mounts-more-porn-less-sexual-assault
@nznnm I re-sent your submission as an ask, due to formatting issues!
You were correct to be skeptical! Porn does not result in less rape.
The linked article cites seven sources [1-7].
Five of the seven studies [2-6] were all conducted prior to 2000, so, even if they did support the supposition that pornography leads to less rape (and they don't), they would not be representative of the effects of modern, mainstream, free, internet pornography.
These studies by Diamond [1, 2, 3] and Kutchinsky [5, 6] all rely on the same methodological paradigm: aggregate-level national analysis. They essentially examine how changes in pornography use rates (e.g., as a result of a legal change) is related to reported rape rates for a nation (i.e., in aggregate) over a period of time. There are several issues with this type of analysis, highlighted by this article [8]. For example, they indicate "one of the more serious problems with aggregate data used in pornography research results from the inappropriate transfer of aggregate results toward individualistic explanations", but I also want to highlight the issue with relying on reported sex crimes (e.g., did the rate of rape really decrease/not change or did misogynistic beliefs become more prevalent - as a cause or effect of the aforementioned legal change - resulting in a lower reporting rate). The mentioned paper [8] explicitly addresses studies [1, 3, 5, 6] and study [2] is just review of those four. In addition, YourBrainOnPorn has an article addressing this same point, which may be more accessible for laymen [9]. In short, this methodology cannot reliably determine a relationship between rape and pornography.
Goldstein's 1971 study [4] was a retrospective study examining pornography use between "deviants" (a group that included homosexual men) and non-"deviants", concluding non-"deviants" used more pornography. However, this was a single, small study conducted prior to the internet. More importantly, the retrospective design presents significant possible problems, particularly for "sensitive" topics [10]. For example, did the pedophiles really never see pornography, or are they less likely to remember or report having seen it? Many more recent studies have disputed this result; I mention some of them in this post and this post and there are many more in a link below.
The final source [7] doesn't address rape rates at all; it concerns "closeness with others". I'm a lot less concerned with pornography use’s effects on male users, and more a lot more concerned with its effects on the female performers and women in society. That being said, YourBrainOnPorn has collected a resource pages with studies linking porn use to "sexual dysfunctions and poorer sexual and relationship satisfaction" (currently with more than 130 studies) [11] and "poorer mental-emotional health & poorer cognitive outcomes" (currently with more than 100 studies) [12].
In addition to all of this, YourBrainOnPorn has collected a resource page "linking porn use to sexual offending, sexual aggression, and sexual coercion" (currently with more than 110 studies) [13].
I want to highlight the following:
This review [14] found "reliable associations between frequent pornography use and sexually aggressive behaviors, particularly for violent pornography and/or for men at high risk for sexual aggression"
This meta-analysis [15] on 46 studies with over 12,000 people found (pre-internet) found moderate to strong effect sizes of pornography on aggression, violent behavior, and misogynistic beliefs.
This 2010 meta-analysis [16] found an "overall significant positive association between pornography use and attitudes supporting violence against women in nonexperimental studies". This was done to accompany their meta-analysis on experimental (laboratory) studies [17] that showed "consumption of material depicting nonviolent sexual activity increases aggressive behavior, and that media depictions of violent sexual activity generates more aggression than those of nonviolent sexual activity".
This 2015 meta-analysis [18] examined "2 studies from 7 different countries" of more than 20,000 people and found pornography use was "associated with sexual aggression in the United States and internationally, among males and females, and in cross-sectional and longitudinal studies".
This 2017 review [19] found pornography is associated with more adolescent dating and sexual violence perpetration and victimization.
All in all, the linked article cherry picked (i.e., they picked the few studies that supported their view while ignoring the many more than did not) studies using an unreliable and controversial methodology.
Given the highly politicized and contentions nature of this topic, we are never going to have a consensus in research; instead we need to rely on a "preponderance of evidence" approach, noting that pornography use is linked to sexual aggression in the majority (and in more high quality) studies.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any follow-up questions!

Supernatural 5x08 Changing Channels
Contains ranting about the Supernatural finale
This episode gets many a laugh from viewers, introduces important plot points to the show, and enjoys a rating of 9.6 on IMDb. Since the majority of the episode is a pastiche of other shows with no real relevance to Supernatural, there is little to say about it. Speculations in Paula's analysis from 15 years ago about whether or not Dean is Michael ended up coming to nothing, and Gabriel has not appeared enough for there to be all that much to say about him.
One plot point is the idea that Dean and Sam are like Michael and Lucifer respectively because that is what they were destined to be. In other words, 'destiny' made Dean the 'obedient older brother loyal to an absent dad' as a reflection of Michael, and Sam was the rebellious younger brother in conflict with his dad. This was so that they would ultimately play the roles of Michael and Lucifer (whose name is also Samael) in the Apocalypse which, according to Gabriel at least, is fated to happen and there is nothing Dean, Sam, or Cas can do about it except submit. They are characters in a show which has already been written and filmed, and there is nothing they can do to change anything.
Tumblr media
Not for the first time, the predestination and determinism in the vessels storyline feels like it has gutted Dean and Sam's story. This is akin to the concept of railroading in games like Dungeons and Dragons. Role-playing games are supposed to be collaborative story-telling ventures in which the players' ability to choose are fundamental. Dungeon masters lay the groundwork and set the scene, but the fun is in 'freely' interacting with the world and seeing where one's choices lead. A dungeon master should not set things up so that all choices lead to one possible result. If the players encounter a kobold riding on a giant hare named Dostoevsky, they should be able to choose to hide and let him pass, greet him and offer him food, or attack him and try to steal his hare. Each of these choices should lead to a different outcome.
One of the worst things the dungeon master could do in this situation is have the kobold whip out a machine gun and mow your party down, or have an army of overpowered elves appear out of the trees and fill your party with arrows. This would allow the dungeon master to take the story exactly in his desired direction, but it undermines the concept of a game. It renders the players powerless and nullifies their ability to make choices. They are no longer playing an interactive game but rather are made into pawns in the dungeon master's novel.
This is called railroading, i.e. there is only one track and one specific place the train is going. In the Superverse, destiny has railroaded Dean and Sam. They are who they are because that is who fate has made them. Nothing the do or have done matters, and they are ultimately not even players in the game. They are just pawns. Not limited to just series five, this idea carries on right through to the end of the whole show. Before it finished, I and many others in the online fandom were shocked by how this idea of railroading was made relevant again. The final series felt like some of the writers (not Bucklemming) using the figure of God and his manipulation of the Winchesters' lives as a stand-in for network interference and impositions on Supernatural. The characters in the show are characters, but there were things they 'wanted' to do yet never could due to... well, executive interfering.
Tumblr media
This must have come up in discussion elsewhere, but the ending of Supernatural was the event which convinced me that 'canon' simply means the version of events officially deemed to be true. In the 1950s or thereabouts, it became doctrine in the Roman catholic church that Jesus's mother Mary did not actually die when her time came, but rather the clouds parted and she was assumed up into Heaven. Just because the Pope decided that is what must have happened. After all, the mother of god was too holy to die a mortal death, so being assumed into Heaven is the only thing which makes sense.
This must have come up in discussion elsewhere, but the ending of Supernatural was the event which convinced me that 'canon' simply means the version of events officially deemed to be true. Just because the Pope decided that is what must have happened. After all, the mother of god was too holy to die a mortal death, so being assumed into Heaven is the only thing which makes sense.
Had Supernatural ended with 5x22 Swan Song, it would have been 'satisfactory'. Not brilliant, but it wrapped up many major plot threads and concluded some character arcs in a way which the story had built towards. 15x20 Carry On... was anything but. It was the equivalent of Frodo and Sam getting halfway across the Plains of Gorgoroth only for an asteroid to flatten them. Sure things like that can happen in real life, but fiction is not real life. Fiction is like an argument which has to build to a valid point.
15x20 Carry On did not do this; even up until the sub-par episode 15x19 Inherit the Earth, the show had been coherently putting together its argument in order to justify certain conclusions. Then the network imposed itself, said 'Actually, sorry, what he means to say is this, obviously' and then proceeded to spout a load of codswallop which completely undermined all the points in the argument the show had been building. For this reason, the 'canonical' ending of the show is utterly incoherent with the rest. I do not acknowledge it as the real end of the show anymore than you would if Frodo and Sam had been offed by a meteorite. Canonical it might be, but as discussed, 'canon' is sometimes utter nonsense.
Before I get too far into being a parody of post-modernism, do let us return to the point: the deterministic nature of the Superverse is relevant to the finale of the show. 'God won' is how many people saw the ending of the show. Defeated he might have been in 15x19 Inherit the Earth, but the canonical ending of the show was still essentially the ending he wanted; Michael and Lucifer killed at each other's hands, God and Amara once more reunited, Dean dead far too young and Sam forced to live in a miserable purgatory of having a blurry wife and a son but stuck in the past and unable to enjoy life.
Tumblr media
Those who did not watch the show all the way to end will come away from it thinking Gabriel wrong to be so doom-and-gloom about the Apocalypse and the Winchesters' roles therein, but those of us who have had to endure the canonical ending might have other thoughts.
Dean's response to Gabriel's fatalism in the final scene of the episode is a refusal to accept the supposed inevitable. Had the show ended with 5x22 Swan Song, he would have been vindicated. The canonical ending shows otherwise. As for the real ending... well, at least Jensen made the canonical ending slightly less insulting by having Dean save the multiverse after death in The Winchesters. Until such time as a 'real ending' appears, 15x18 Despair is where the show ends.
That said, Dean's insistence that Gabriel return Cas at the end of the episode is rather reminiscent of his demands that God bring Cas back in 15x19 Inherit the Earth, but that is by the by...
youtube
Not much left of depth remains to be discussed in this episode, with one of the main aspects being Gabriel's own cowardice in, to paraphrase Dean, not standing up to his older brothers but rather running away and getting others to do his fighting for him. As an archangel, Gabriel is one of the most powerful beings in the Superverse, but he plays the victim and is willing to let the Apocalypse happen as long as he does not have to get involved. This will of course clash with Dean's own tendency to endure suffering for the benefit of others, so while Dean sounded a little self-righteous while haranguing Gabriel (confronting family can be scary, even dangerous), it makes complete sense and is completely justified.
Tumblr media
This is the episode where his guise as Loki is finally removed and he is identified as Gabriel. This was definitely unexpected upon first viewing, but had I known more about Abrahamic mythology I might have been waiting for Gabriel's appearance after the other three archangels Michael, Lucifer, and Raphael turned up. The introduction of the fourth archangel (some traditions have more than four, but I am no expert) allows for more possibilities later on., but unfortunately not much is really done with it. In 15x19 Hammer of the Gods, an episode which not only draws heavily on The Sandman and the convention of collectors, but also gives unmistakable American Gods vibes) Gabriel will enter the fray in earnest, but... we saw how that ended. The conflict between Michael, Lucifer, and Gabriel gets a redux at the end of series 13 and Gabriel played a crucial role in saving a lot of people, but in my opinion it was ultimately unsatisfying.
Tumblr media
Regarding Gabriel being in the upper echelons of angelic society, this brings to mind the fact that Dean and Sam are very much the opposite. While the fact the characters are being portrayed by very healthy, strong, well-cared-for looking and well-dressed actors, Dean and Sam are an underclass with no station in society. All the same, they are being roped into a conflict not of their choosing and utterly against their own volition. That is a prime metaphor for almost every war which has ever happened, with the average powerless member of the working-class, the serfdom, the slaves, and even many among the 'bourgeoisie' middle class being dragged into the squabbles of the ruling classes.
The episode pastiched a fair few other shows, and the result is absolutely hilarious. Or I am sure it would be if I had watched the shows it was making fun of. I have never watched a single episode of Grey's Anatomy or Scrubs, and only two or three episodes of House. CSI is a complete mystery to me, and I only know Knight Rider from it being spoofed in Family Guy. I have a passing knowledge of American sitcoms from the 1970s and 1980s (by which I mean I have watched about 20 episodes of Flo (entire series available here) and seen loads of references in Family Guy) but other than that most references and stuff were lost on me.
youtube
That said, I did not need to know the shows to enjoy the silly humour or to get the point of the episode. However, part of why I enjoyed Ghostfacers so much is because I am very acquainted with shows like Most Haunted so caught all the parodies and tropes.
Ghostfacers was a metatextual episode which almost but did not quite break the fourth wall. Carrie breaks the fourth wall all the time in the first two series of Sex and the City, and she does so by speaking directly to the audience. Ghostfacers got close. Harry and Ed spoke directly to the camera at the beginning and end of Ghostfacers, but they were not addressing the audience at home, but rather the fictional studio execs they thought would be watching their episode. They also reference the WGA Strike of 2007-2008, but referencing real-world events is not breaking the fourth wall. Changing Channels plays with the fourth wall in a similar way, but does not break the illusion. It is, however, surreal in a similar way to the musical episode of Buffy.
Tumblr media
Ben Edlund wrote Ghostfacers and Jeremy Carver wrote Changing Channels, and it is interesting that their surnames should be used as Chuck's nom de plume for his Supernatural novels: Carver Edlund. The two writers who play with the fourth wall and surrealism gave their names to the surrealist aspect of the show.
On the subject of Jeremy Carver, one thing I noticed in this episode is the fact that he wrote Gabriel as not liking Sam much at all. This was a surprise as usually the writers have Dean bear the brunt of characters' ire, but in this episode it was Sam whom teh nurse slapped (*still* my favourite trope), Sam who had genital herpes, and Sam who got hit in the testicles. Gabriel also took a pop at Sam, not Dean, for starting the Apocalypse, something the show has shied away from doing for a while in its bid to absolve Sam of his accountability.
And before moving on from Nutcracker: until a similar show with female contestants called perhaps Snatchsmasher would be considered such ripe material for humour, Nutcracker ain't gettin a laugh or even a smile from me. Call me a buzzkill if you want, but if damaging women's genitals (possibly permanently) is considered horrible and nothing to laugh about, then so should damaging men's genitals.
The subject of men's genitals leads, naturally, to the subject of Dean and Dr Sexy. If you want, you can interpret Dean as just being a fanboy of Dr Sexy, but I do not see how you can, really.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
To be clear: I am not claiming Dean likes men because he is a fan of a soap opera. Nor am I claiming he cannot 'just' be a fan. But he is like a giddy little schoolgirl in this scene... Or like me that time I got to hug Jensen twice. TWICE!! This is another case of Dean being completely transparent about his attraction to men, yet most people seem to miss it.
That does it for this analysis. A fun episode, but as always with gimmicky ones, I am left with little to say. Next up is 5x09 The Real Ghostbusters which I hope (but do not promise) to have out just after New Year. Until then, Merry Christmas!

Under the haunting glow of a single desk lamp, Jolly brooded in his shadowy office, pouring himself a glass of amber liquor. Noah sat silently in the corner, shirtless, as their new plaything slept serene in the room next door.
"What do you know about her?" Jolly asked, swirling the liquid ominously.
"Nothing, master," Noah confessed into the darkness. "She broke into the lab the night we met. Oli and I hunted her down, but I can’t explain what possessed me..."
Jolly's eyes glinted knowingly. Holding up his hand to stop Noah’s rambling, "I have a theory," he uttered grimly.
Noah's brow furrowed as he rose from his seat, perching uneasily on the corner of Jolly's desk. Jolly sighed, massaging the tension from his temples before taking a long sip of whiskey. He had sensed it immediately - the moment he stepped into her apartment. Her blood was tainted. When she'd packed her bags to leave, he'd managed to retrieve the syringe from her things and sent it off for analysis. With a grave expression, he opened his email to show Noah the results.
"Nightshade. Mixed with several other chemicals to create some kind of depowering serum," he said ominously. "With the right measurements and equipment, this could mean real danger for all of us."
Jolly strokes his beard thoughtfully, his weary eyes fixed on the test results. "What troubles me is the serum has a powerful effect on her, if she were human I don’t think it would do anything other than make her violently ill.”
Noah cocked his head to the side looking to the wall, where just on the other side she was slumbering. “She is no mage,” Jolly continued “I've searched our records and found no birth or family history for her. Without consent, I can’t trace her lineage further. And even then, the serum in her blood hinders my efforts."
Noah inquires in a gentle tone, "How long before the serum fades?"
Jolly sighed, setting his glass down on the desk, slumping in his office chair. "I can’t say for certain." His brow furrows with concern and unease over the mystery surrounding this unusual girl.
Noah tensed, his head snapping up as he swiveled to face the office door. Jolly followed his gaze, sensing what had startled him. The door creaked open and she tiptoed in, arms wrapped around herself protectively. Clad only in her underwear and a tank top, her tousled hair falling around her shoulders. Jolly glimpsed the fear in her eyes as she halted just inside the office, her wary gaze fixed on Noah. She seemed hesitant, as if ready to flee at any moment.
She froze a few steps away from the desk, her feet like lead weights refusing to carry her any closer. Noah and Rosa continued their intense gaze, oblivious to her presence. "You're real," she breathed.
Noah rose slowly from the desk, turning with deliberate caution to approach her.
"Steady now," Jolly murmured, sensing her apprehension. Though he could prevent what she was feeling, some instinct gave him pause. She shrank back as Noah neared, his imposing height and brisk stride striking fear in her, her face turning pale.
"There now, it's alright," Jolly soothed, watching as Noah gradually closed the gap between them, his towering frame looming over her trembling form. "He won’t hurt you, pretty girl."
Her limbs were trembling, arms crossing over her body attempting to steady herself. Jolly breathed in deep, letting out a sigh before turning his eyes to Noah.
"Kneel," he ordered, his voice firm but not unkind. Noah didn’t need to look his master's way, he obeyed without hesitation, sinking to the floor. His eyes remained fixed on her, radiating the strength and compassion that allowed her to trust him completely.
“Go ahead,” Jolly said gently. Rosa slowly unfolded her arms, her fingers grazing Noah's cheek before cradling his face in her palm. With a tender caress of her thumb across his cheekbone, Rosa's breath escaped her parted lips as understanding dawned in her soft features. Noah purred contentedly, nestling into the comfort of her touch.
“That night, on the roof,” her voice cracked. Noah's hand encircled her wrist as he gently pushed her back. In an instant, his body shifted, morphing into the form of a four-legged beast. Sitting calmly with sadness in his large, dark eyes, the hound regarded her softly. Though changed on the outside, Noah still remained within.
Covering her face in shock, she staggered backward, tripping over her own feet and crashing to the floor. Jolly shot up from his chair and rushed to her side in an instant. Noah rose to his feet, but a wave of his master's hand sent him back down, sitting on his haunches and awaiting his next command.
"No, no, no. This can't be real. Just a hallucination, a figment of my imagination. It's not possible," she muttered, shaking her head and rambling in a panic as Jolly pulled her against his chest.
"Shhh, pretty girl. Rosa, take it easy. I can explain everything," he soothed, brushing her hair with his hands as she trembled in his grasp.
Tumblr media
Golden light from the setting sun filtered into the apartment, bathing everything in its warm glow. Noah's head rested in her lap, his eyes closed in peaceful slumber. She had been gently running her fingers through his soft brown hair for the past hour, and the soothing motion had lulled him into a deep sleep. Though her legs were starting to tingle and go numb beneath his weight, she didn't have the heart to disturb his rest. Something about watching Noah's chest rise and fall steadily filled her with tenderness. So she sat perfectly still, despite the pins and needles in her legs.
It was all almost too much for her to take in at once. Mages, magic, multiple dimensions - Jolly's revelations earlier that day had left her reeling. She had wept until she was hiccuping and gasping for breath, completely overwhelmed. Noah had simply gathered her up in his strong arms when her legs gave out, carrying her back to the plush bedroom and laying her gently on the bed. He then settled himself in her lap, a comforting presence as she continued to process everything she had learned.
He lies next to her, his chest rising and falling steadily as he drifts into slumber. The rhythm of his breathing is soothing, a balm to her fraying nerves. But even as the room darkens with the fading light, her mind continues to race, thoughts crashing together like waves breaking upon rocks. She is torn between the comfort of his presence and the chaos of her own uncertainty. His tranquility is a stark contrast to the tempest that rages within her.
The door creaks open and in steps Jolly, his features illuminated by the soft orange hues. He moves cautiously, not wanting to wake the sleeping Noah. A smile spreads across Jolly's face as he spots the two of them snuggled up together on the bed. He tiptoes over and carefully sits on the edge, gazing down at the heartwarming scene with joyful affection. The tranquil atmosphere envelops them all as the day gives way to night.
Noah's eyes fluttered open to find Jolly's kind face smiling down at him. "It's time for you to go to work," Jolly said softly, though Rosa's heart sank. She didn't want this perfect moment to end. Rosa wished Noah could stay here with her forever.
Jolly reached out, brushing his fingers against Rosa's cheek as he tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "Don't worry," he murmured. "Noah will just be downstairs if we need him."
Noah sat up stretching his long limbs, taking her face in his large hands, his warm lips pressed softly against her forehead as he cradled her face. The tender kiss lingered for a moment before he pulled away, leaving her longing for more. Turning to Jolly, Noah placed one last gentle kiss on his master's lips. She watched wistfully as Noah hopped off the bed, stealing one final glance back into the room, his eyes filled with affection. As he disappeared down the hall, she sighed contentedly, cherishing the sweet intimacy they had just shared.
She whispers the question into the stillness of the room, her voice trembling, "Who am I now?" She does not expect a reply from Jolly, but he sighs deeply, gathering her legs into his lap. His strong hands begin massaging her feet, working out the tension that has built up within her.
"Now?" His deep voice rumbles in response. "You're here with me, sweet girl. Right by my side where I can keep you safe."
His fingertips dig into her arches, soothing away the ache she feels. "Noah and I won't let anyone or anything come for you. You belong to us. We'll protect what's ours."
His words wrap around her like a warm blanket, comforting and shielding her. A lump forming in the back of her throat, “You can’t save me from me.”
She feels her breath catch as his thoughts drift to what's coming. The moment when the shots wear off and it returns. A shiver runs through her. She doesn't want to think about it, but she can't stop the thoughts from swirling through her mind. The agony that awaits, the pain that will wrack her body. Rosa wraps her arms around herself, as if she could protect herself from what's to come. But she knows that when the medication fades, there will be no escape. The torment will find her again, just as it always does. She squeezes her eyes shut, wishing she could block it all out. But there is no blocking this out.
Jolly's voice came out in a low, predatory purr. He leaned closer to her, his dark eyes gleaming with possessiveness. "Oh yes, my precious one. I most certainly can."
The words dripped from his lips like honey, sweet yet dangerous. He looked ready to consume her, to claim her as his own. There was an alpha edge to him, a dominant protectiveness that both thrilled and frightened her. He would keep her safe, keep her close. She had no doubt.
His hands grip her thighs, parting them gently as he settles his muscular frame between her legs. She sits up on her palms before his hand presses into her chest, softly easing her back  down into the bed.
"Easy, pretty girl," he murmurs, trailing kisses along her cheek and nose before finding her lips in a tender caress. His voice is a low rumble as he pulls back to meet her gaze. "Let me take your mind off your troubles tonight, baby. Just relax and let me make you feel good."
She wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him against her with an urgent need. This was exhilarating yet unsettling - emotions she had never felt before. The Mage blood, Jolly had said. Magic calls to magic. The magnetic pull of her soul beckoned him, drawing her irresistibly into his orbit like a moth to a flame. He was the dominant force, exerting his gravitational power, pulling her ever closer like the moon to the earth. She felt helpless to resist, powerless against the primal attraction, needing to be one with him. His raw masculine energy called to her feminine essence, two halves of the same whole destined to unite. But it wasn’t just Jolly that consumed her with desire. It was the beast in sheep’s clothing, whose fire burned in his eyes when he looked at them both. She wanted Noah to envelope her in his strong embrace, to feel his fierce protection. The primal beast within ignited her own. This captivating man awakened something deep inside her, a connection she didn't yet understand but yearned to explore.
"How long before it wears off?" she breathes between fervent kisses, her hands hungrily roaming through his hair and down his muscular back, desperate for more of him.
"Who knows, darling," he growls in her ear, his lips trailing hot kisses down her neck as his strong hands caress her body. "Could be weeks, but one thing I do know..." He pauses to nip at her collarbone, eliciting a gasp of pleasure. "The more we get that delicious blood of yours pumping..." His fingers trail down her stomach, eliciting delicious shivers. "The faster you'll burn it off."
As Jolly’s hands glide up her torso, pushing her shirt higher, a shiver of anticipation courses through her. His touch ignites her skin, each caress stoking the fire within. “So soft,” he murmurs, trailing kisses down her neck to her chest, his warm mouth leaving a blazing trail across her flushed skin.
With a hunger in his eyes, Jolly's hands roamed down her curves, his fingers curling around the lace of her panties. In one smooth motion, he stripped them off, exposing her fully to his ardent gaze.  Her legs wrapped around his waist as if they had a mind of their own, pulling him closer as their bodies moved together. She could feel his cock pressing against her thigh, moaning at the sweet pressure. She held him tighter, wordlessly pleading for more, and his knowing smile against her lips told her he understood.
"You want this as much as I do, don't you pretty girl?" he murmured, his nose brushing hers intimately. She nodded, their noses rubbing tenderly, ready and willing to give herself to him completely.
He gazed at her with desire burning in his eyes, his body aching to feel her surround him. "Come to me, sweet girl," he whispered hoarsely, rolling onto his back, shimmying out of his pants, and beckoning her closer.
She straddled his lap, her heart pounding as she took his thick, hard length in her hands. With gentle yet firm hands, he caressed her face, turning it so their eyes met in a moment of ecstasy. "Let me see that beautiful face as you take me in," he murmured, his voice thick with passion. Slowly she sank down, enveloping him in her velvety heat, gasping as he stretched and filled her so exquisitely. "That's it, gorgeous," Jolly rasped, his words stoking the fire within.
She gasped as he slid into her, the friction sending sparks through her body. "You feel so good, baby," he growled, his strong hands guiding her hips. She began to rock slowly, savoring the feeling of him filling her up. His eyes were closed in ecstasy, lips parted as he held back moans. She wanted more. Her body ached for release, and she knew he needed it too, that primal urge driving him wild. She rode him harder, faster, crying out at the exquisite sensations. He thrust up into her, muscles taut, focused only on their shared pleasure. She was close, so close, his hands and body pushing her towards the edge. "Come for me," he commanded, his gravelly voice soaked in desire. She shattered around him, ecstasy crashing through her in waves. Flopping down onto his chest as she caught her breath.
"You're so beautiful," he murmured, his voice husky and low. He kissed her deeply, passionately, their tongues dancing. She was dizzy, drunk on his kisses, his touch, the way he possessed her so completely.
"Mmm, you feel so good wrapped tight around me, baby," he groaned, thrusting deep inside her dripping heat. She whimpered, lost in ecstasy as he filled her again and again. His dirty words in her ear made her clench around him.
"That's right, come for me. I want to feel you let go."
She cried out as her pleasure crested, drowning in sensation. He held her close, murmuring praise and encouragement.
"So perfect, just like that."
His lips grazed her throat, teasing her tender skin. She clung to him, gasping his name like a prayer. He increased his pace, driving into her relentlessly.
"One more, pretty girl. I know you have it in you."
His fingers found her clit, circling with just the right pressure. Her body sang, arching and tensing as she rocketed over the edge again. His groan rumbled against her body as he followed, spilling deep inside her pulsing heat.
They collapsed together, replete. He stroked her face tenderly, gazing at her with adoration.
"You good, baby?"
She nodded, smiling dreamily. He had taken her apart and put her back together again, leaving her thoroughly satisfied.

Press Release:
On December 1st, 2024, psychotherapist, Joseph Sansone, M.S., PhD filed a new case in Second Judicial Circuit in and for Leon County, Florida (2024-CA-001977) seeking an injunction to prohibit Governor DeSantis and Attorney General Ashley Moody from allowing the continued distribution of mRNA nanoparticle injections because they are biological and technological weapons of mass destruction.
The complaint also seeks declaratory judgements that the COVID 19 injections and all mRNA injections violate Weapons of Mass Destruction § 790.166, Fla. Stat. (2023); Fraud § 817.034 Fla Stat. (2023); and clearly violate Florida Medical Consent Law § 766.103 Fla Stat. (2023).
In Official Bulletins, the Florida Department of Health has previously called for a halt to the mRNA injections, advising that they are unsafe for humans and a threat to the human genome. Surgeon General Ladapo has publicly described the mRNA injections as the ‘Anti Christ’ of drugs.
Sansone says the mRNA nanoparticle injections deployed against 23 million Floridians cause multiple disorders and diseases, including death, “Heart attacks, strokes, cancer, autoimmune diseases, neurological disorders, are just a few of the devastating results of these weapons of mass destruction”.
On March 3rd of 2024, Dr. Sansone filed a writ of mandamus in the Florida Supreme Court seeking to compel Governor DeSantis to prohibit the mRNA nanoparticle injections and Attorney General Ashley Moody to confiscate the vials and conduct a forensic analysis. The case was transferred to the Circuit Court in Leon County where it was dismissed in April. Sansone filed an appeal in May that was eventually denied in October.
