N6 nightmare headcanons

Darius

usually cries when he wakes up

his nightmares are often about losing people he loves

the n6 and his family can always tell when he's had a nightmare because he's so clingy the day after that he hugs people at random and tells them he loves them

drags his pillow and duvet goes into else's bedroom to help him sleep

several times he crawls into his mother's, brother's or kenji's bed to help sleep

often has verbal shutdowns after nightmares

if he can't get back to sleep he'll read his dinosaur books or work on his field guide

Yaz

has nightmares every other night so she, her mum, and the nublar 6 are very used to dealing with them

nightmares about getting almost eaten by dinosaurs or very intimately dangerous situations

usually wakes up either screaming or frozen

she often calms herself down with breathing exercises she learned in therapy but she has a buzzer by her bed that alerts her mum in case she cant calm herself down by herself

if she's too frozen to press the buzzer she usually shouts for her mum or whoever she's with

if sammy's with her, sammy will hold her and sing her back to sleep

Sammy

nightmares are usually about losing yaz or any of the others, or everyone hating her because she was a spy

usually wakes up crying

sings to calm herself down

opens a window and spends time looking around her ranch

if it's really bad she'll go down to a barn and sleep on the hay

if she's with the others, she'll snuggle someone (the others don't mind at all)

the others are very used to waking up with sammy clinging to their arm or something

Ben

nightmares are usually pretty irrational (e.g. he's sprinting through the jungle to avoid a dinosaur but instead he's being chased by werewolves and the sky is bright pink and he knows there's something after him but he doesn't know what)

wakes frantic and shaking like a leaf

sweating buckets, often opens his bedroom window

always has a glass of water to help ground him and cool down

usually launches into a panic attack

wakes up his mum cos she helps him calm down

if not he hugs a soft toy cos he misses bumpy

Brooklynn

doesn't have nightmares often but when she does they're usually about something bad happening to her friends

her nightmares are more often than not something completely different to what happened on nublar

since they're so infrequent for her she just plays it by ear every time

a couple of times it's happened she climbs into her dads' bed and snuggled with them

once she had a nightmare while staying at darius's house and he wrapped a blanket around her shoulders and they watched the sun rise together

Kenji

has more nightmares than he'll admit to the others

usually about the others dying and him being left alone, or them all hating him because he joined his father

if he's with the others, he won't wake them but he'll go to all their sleeping bags/bedrooms and silently open the door just to check they're okay and alive

he usually gasps himself awake and bolts upright

actually desperately needs comfort but it isn't until much later he's able to ask for it

ben is surprisingly good at calming him down

the one (1) time he had a nightmare around the nublar 6, he woke up and started crying because he thought they all hated him, and darius woke up and he woke the others up and they all assured him they love him and that his father was manipulating him and that they don't blame them at all

I need a separate reunion for Darius and Sammy with Brooklyn. I truly believe they’ve suffered the most, and Darius finding out/seeing her at the same time as the others doesn’t feel right.

Like, I NEED a heart-wrenching, emotional scene of his reaction—him running up to her, and them hugging. They deserve a single shot because, come on, they’ve earned it. He should have a mental breakdown, maybe even start trembling from the shock. I need ALL THE EMOTIONS.

As for Sammy, I didn’t originally perceive her and Brooklyn to have such a close bond, but after watching Chaos Theory and seeing how much love Sammy has for the campfam (like, you know how many times she screamed "campfam4life" in JWCC?), I’m convinced she was suffering a lot worse than the others (excluding Darius). It’s so obvious that she carried the most love for the group in her heart.

See, it all basically hinges on the two of them both being the MCs they are. As they always have been. Also, on the fact that Brooklynn is actually hurt because of Darius--and I don't just mean physically, because honestly, I don't know if that's his fault or if one of them would have been dead.

But...it's obvious that it still bothers her, and that she's not fully at peace with that.

I know she's playing Soyona here, but this is also one of those moments where our heroine clearly taps into something Honest to make the story convincing. This is an insecurity, a gnawing pool of rage, a festering pool of the Dark Side within. It's bothered her.

And if she and Darius have some sort of talk about that, it could easily be something more than her...ugh..."friendzoning" him. Because, also, if we don't infantilize Darius (more on that later, shoulda been much sooner) and consider for a moment that they could work out...he's kinda the perfect match STOP IT STOP IT she might have actually genuinely been touched because she'd probably spent the last few months looking for encouragement and curiosity about what she was doing. So, then, when the guy who said he supported her didn't show, things went wrong, and she developed doubt.There is a way for both of them to build each other up with a dramatic or muted conversation, but it has to be for both of them, and they both have to acknowledge that they're THE Protagonists of this show.

Or, rather, Darius has to step up and be the protagonist again, because Brooklynn's really the one driving this whole thing. Brooklynn has to air out her insecurities with the fact that Darius wasn't there for her, and Darius has to actually be there for her to do that, and I think that's the Only Way. And that's with a LOT of other factors in play. Kenji has to apologize to Ben, too. Like...a lot. Kenji has to have a HUGE focus on Ben next season. And maybe he needs to talk to Brooklynn about Darius's feelings. Maybe. I don't know if that works.

I also still feel like this show's gonna end with Brooklynn leaving the group anyway (on GOOD TERMS, CampFam4Life!), but there might be a "See you around, Dino-Nerd" "Until next time, Superstar" parting line that hints at a future.

That's the one path my eyes see.

Incredibly mad at myself because I just had a vision of one, singular path to Dinostar.

I keep trying to kill it because it's been dead for years, but apparently there might be a way.

Back on my shit! Season 5 came out today, I watched it all in one sitting the moment I woke up. Here are some headcannons! Most of these take place after they go home!

Spoiler warning!!!!!⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️

- Sammy's first thought when she saw Yasmina was "shit she's pretty" but never made a move because of how shy Yas was and didn't wanna come off too strong or overwhelm her

- When Yas got home and (after months of therapy) went back to track, the first thing she did was show everyone a picture of Sammy and said "this is my girlfriend, Sammy. She lives in Texas"

- Sammy did the same thing but to every single person she met she went "this is my girlfriend, Yasmina. Look how amazing she is!" And proceeds to give them their whole life story

- They do "group therapy" every weekend where they go on a Skype call and vent about stuff they find hard to deal with after everything that happened. Usually they start by going one by one, but quickly get derailed when someone (usually kenji) makes a joke. Then they eat breakfast/lunch/dinner/a snack on the call. Then they play a game like two truths and a lie or never have I ever. They end it 2 hours later and someone says "welp, this was productive"

- Mae let Ben set up cameras and stuff so he can see Bumpy whenever he wants

- Every Christmas break and Summer break they all pick a house to stay at, usually it's Kenji and Darius' house, but sometimes they stay at another house

- Brooklyn and Kenji only continued to date for a few months after they got home because they both had to adjust and really think about themselves as individuals. They stayed amazing friends tho

Every one of them has at least one password that is Campfam4life

- Yas wore a suit to her wedding with Sammy. Their wedding was for family and found family only. Angel and Rebel were the ring bearers. Brooklyn was Sammy's maid of honor, the other bridesmaids were Sammy's sisters. Darius officiated. Kenji walked Yas down the aisle. Ben was Yasmina's brides-man

- They did a documentary about a year after they got back. It was originally pg-13, but the director made it rated for mature audiences cause he realized how much shit the campers went through (I also have little scenes of said documentary written out if anyone wants to see them)

- They are all a big part of each other's lives after. The birth of their children, birthday parties, Christmas, weddings. Everything.

That's it! I cannot tell you how badly I didn't want this show to end, but it was an amazing and satisfying ending. So sad it's over.

Recently finished Camp Cretaceous Season 3, and decided to give my headcannons on the campers. These are opinions, so if you don't agree don't get into an argument about it.

1. Yasmina and Sammy are 100% secretly dating/in love. You can't tell me you aren't seeing the looks they gave each other. Hell, there was a whole episode dedicated to Yas fighting to save Sammy

2. I feel like Brooklyn has a small crush on Yas. Think about it, Brooklyn is definitely younger than Yas, she's always trying to prove how amazing she is to Yasmina, and she really tries to get Yas to like her. Plus, who wouldn't have a crush on Yas she is so hot

3. Kenji×Ben needs to happen at one point. The chemistry is there (not in season 3 for some reason) and they would be unstoppable and adorable together

4. Nobody is straight and/or cisgender, except for maybe Dave because I feel like he's an ally on extremely thin ice

5. There's no way the campers don't curse constantly. Netflix should allow them to say curse words because if I were almost dying every hour I would not be able to control myself
