Fuck man, I LOVE living in a time period when circus folks are just. Innovating aerial apparatuses for the sheer love of New Thing In Air.

There's just. So many. Lyra, aerial silks, corde lisse. Static trapeze, dance trapeze. Flying pole. Aerial straps. Strappy loops. Spanish web. Aerial chains. Sling.

And then a whole class of people-putting-random-shapes-in-air. You've got your aerial moon and aerial pentagram. Your aerial spaghetti and aerial D20. Your lollypop and aerial spiral and aerial contortion cube. Your mini lyra and tippy lyra and also your fucking aerial CYRWHEEL.

We are living in a time period where people are really, truly, experimenting and inventing new apparatuses and just. ajdhlahdkajbdla. I can't believe I'm alive right now, right here, during the spring of aerial innovation.

In millions of us magic meant this word ,circus.This pic seems to have been plucked from a faerie tale dream.When the circus came to town was a break from the monotony of country life,everyone could finally show off their best attire.Cotton candy ,caramel popcorn, Coke and chocolate chip cookies ,candy apples, were sold to wet our appetite.Clowns and Lion tamers,the flying trapeze ,the band and the master of ceremonies,the monkeys and their banana showers. Those days are long gone,but they remain very much alive in my memory .And when they brought everything down ,pack and had to leave to a new town ,sadness and an empty ground were left but the manure smell ,and the empty stalls,with their burned sugar aroma wafting through the old town, there was a promise for the next year to repeat the magic.Distant memories of the hay picking in the fields and those barnstormers, yes ,the magic does exist regardless of our age days of clean fun and long walks to the pond ,jumping from a branch.Splashing and swimming to our hearts content.Words by Sergio GuymanProust.
