Danny Needs a Girlfriend Part 3
The burger was gone in three bites. Cass was efficient like that.
Danny, still not entirely sure if he was dreaming or just hallucinating due to ghost-core burnout, watched her from the corner of his eye.
“So, uh… just for my own peace of mind,” he began cautiously, “did Dani bribe you into this? Or threaten you? She's very persuasive when she wants to be. Once convinced Vlad to dress up as a clown for a week. I still have the blackmail footage.”
Cass tilted her head, then gave a small shake. “No threats. No bribes.”
Danny blinked. “Wait… you volunteered to come find me?”
Another small nod.
He stared at her, baffled. “Do you know what dating me would even look like?”
Cass shrugged.
“I’m serious! There’s ghost attacks, and people screaming in Latin, and my room’s a disaster, and I talk to dead people sometimes—like, friendly dead people, but still. I’m basically radioactive Spider-Man with extra trauma and a thermos collection.”
Cass took a moment. Then pointed at herself.
“Trained assassin,” she said softly.
Danny paused. “Touché.”
Cass smiled. The kind that barely tugged at the corners of her lips but felt like a full grin.
Then she said, “Ghosts are honest. More than people.”
Danny’s eyebrows lifted. “That’s… yeah. Actually, yeah.”
They sat in silence for a bit. Not awkward. Just quiet. The kind of quiet Danny didn’t get to enjoy often.
Then Cass turned slightly toward him.
“You saved people,” she said. “Alone.”
Danny shrugged, cheeks turning a little pink. “Had to. No one else was going to. And, well… I died for the first time because of my parents' lab accident, so it kind of felt like—my responsibility? You know?”
She nodded slowly.
“I see you,” she said. “I like what I see.”
Danny blinked, dumbfounded. “Wow. You, uh—don’t mess around, do you?”
Cass just shrugged, like duh.
Danny rubbed the back of his neck. “I mean, I’m not saying no. You're… kind of amazing. And gorgeous. And scary in a cool way. Just… I don’t want you to think I’m some tragic half-dead boy project.”
“You’re not,” Cass said instantly. “You’re just… Danny.”
He looked at her for a long moment. Then, softly: “You really do see people, huh?”
Cass didn’t answer. She didn’t need to.
From the rooftop across the street, Dani was lying on her stomach, binoculars in one hand, Fenton phone in the other.
“Tucker, Tucker, he shared his burger. That’s practically ghost proposal level. And she didn’t even flinch when he mentioned the thermos thing!”
“Dani,” Tucker said, voice dry through the phone, “have you considered giving them privacy?”
“I gave him a girlfriend. He’ll forgive me.”
“You’re impossible.”
“I learned from the best.”
Back on the rooftop, Danny and Cass were now sharing ghost stories. Literally.
“She said she’d haunt my locker if I didn’t return her grandma’s locket,” Danny was saying. “So I tried to give it back, but it turned out she wanted me to keep it as a fashion upgrade. I don’t even wear jewelry. Except for this one time when—”
Cass leaned her head on his shoulder mid-sentence.
Danny froze.
Then melted.
“…Okay. Yeah. I’m not gonna fight this.”
He leaned back against her gently, and for the first time in a while, the world felt… quiet.
Peaceful.
Even with Gotham below and ghosts above, something about this moment just fit.
And in the back of his mind, Danny made a mental note:
Step One: Thank Dani. Step Two: Hide every embarrassing baby photo she tries to show Cass. Step Three: Learn how to make better grilled cheese.
He had a feeling he was going to need it.
Operation: Ghost Bat Romance Status: In Progress. Success Probability: 100%. Next Mission: Convince Batman not to kill him.

I think a ship in DCxDP that isn't explored enough is Cass/Danny.
I love them, they are so weird for each other. Like Danny is sitting in his dorm for Gotham U and is in full on tinker mode, making a gadget for his super hot goth vigilante girlfriend and he is so in love.
(This boy has a thing for women that are stronger than him, ei. Sam and Val)
Ghosts mostly communicate through emotions right? So my brain is just like "Danny in ghost form is the easiest person Cass has ever read, she can see the instant where he spots her every time since he practically melts" also, Danny could 100% spot her, and she finds that incredibly attractive, he sees her just as she sees him.
Gimme 20 something Cass and Danny meeting at collage, Cass is there to stop a bomb and Danny is just trying to go to class, he sees her in full Orphan outfit and feels his heart sputter.
Danny full on watches her beat the shit out of a Rouge and has to hold himself back to asking me next (cus ghost instincts?)
He now understands how his dad felt about his mom, how Jack could ignore Vlad since the only person that mattered to him was Maddie.
(He runs in when Cass is struggling to defuse the bomb and does it in like a second, grinning like a fool at her)
Cass was weirded our for a moment but after a bit of research into him (cough cough, stalking) Cass was starting to get a bit attached.
Danny fell first but Cass fell harder, Danny gets little shiny metal contraptions and a batarang stuck into head board, like a raven bringing pretty things to their human.
Danny makes things and solves villain puzzles, the rest of the Bats are afraid Cass got his with something, but no they just match each other's freak.
Danny, getting introduced to the rest of the Bat clan, fidgeting with Cass's arm around his waist and trying to do his Midwestern charm: HI! Um...pleasure to meet you all?
Cass, a grin on her face: This is my twink Danny, if anything happens to him I will kill everyone in this city and then myself.
And like, what if Cass goes down in a fight, Danny is watching on the side lines and the bats are trying to get there in time and come to see Danny, snarling and ripping into the person who beat Cass, fully going a tad bit feral ghost seeing his person (tm) getting hurt
I love them so much
(Also...)
(Cass is slinging silicone and Danny is full on very happy to receive, you can't tell me other wise, iykyk)

Hello! I was wondering if you had any more of the ghost King summon challenge au!
"Damian Wayne! You better be dressed and done here in five minutes or else!" Bruce shouted up the stairway. He was a mess of nerves, waiting for everything to go perfectly today, and his youngest was making it really hard.
Around the hire extra, staff raced about in a rushed panic, attempting to get everything in order before guests arrived. Bruce had been up for over ten hours getting everything ready, yet it still felt like time wasn't enough.
For goodness sake, he hadn't even had time to steam-press his suit!
"Where are the bloody flowers!?" He screams down the hallway. Usually, he would have been a bit embarrassed to catch himself using some of Alfred's British swearing (The man did raise him. It's why, for a few years, Bruce had a slight British accent as a child), but he can't find it in himself to care today. A poor worker organizing clothes on the pillar jumps a foot out of her skin.
"They're setting up now, Mr. Wayne," she assured me after realizing she was the only one in the hallway. "They just needed to figure out where to put the larger pieces in such a close space."
Bruce grits his teeth, biting back another less appropriate swear from his leaving his mouth. It's not the florist's fault, and certainly not this young lady's fault that they had to move the entire venue from Wayne's grounds to inside the manor, derailing all the prep work that went months into this, so he doesn't have a reason to take it out on her.
If only Gotham's weather hadn't done a complete one-eighty, everything would have been ready yesterday. Bruce hates that he has an entire satellite meant to track changes in the Speed Force that could affect the timeline as he knows it, but on Cass' special day, he couldn't realize it would rain.
Not just a drizzle. No. The stupid Gotham Skies decided today, of all days, would be perfect to crack open and release the bloody heavens.
"Good. Thank you." He says in a short clip sentence. Her smile wobbles only slightly before she makes an excuse and scurries away.
Bruce checks his watch, only to feel his eyes budge out at the new position of the hour hand. He twists around to scream up the stairs again. "DAMIAN!"
"I won't go!" His son's voice drifts down. "It's a trap!"
"For the last time, Danny forgives your family's debt now that they are marrying Cass. They are not waiting for you to lower your guard!" Bruce snaps, adjusting his suit. He has half a mind to go up there and drag his son out himself, but he just spotted the ice sculptures that were supposed to be at the end of each row where the guests were sitting at.
It would have looked lovely with Gotham's open sky and the following green of his yard, but if those fools placed them inside the grand hall, it would only look tacky.
His daughter's wedding will not look tacky!
"They want my soul!" Damian cries from above, and Bruce runs a hand through his hair. He glances around, desperate to find someone to help him, when he spots Tim chatting up one of the chefs he hired for the reception.
The blond was blushing, but there was a smile on his face as Tim leaned in close, speaking under his breath and sending the boy flirty, loaded looks. He seemed oddly familiar.
Didn't that blond go to school with Tim?
Whatever. Bruce didn't have time for that.
"Timothy Jackson Drake!" He snaps, causing his son to leap about from the chef, who looks like he got caught sneaking into the cookie jar. "Come collect your brother. Damian better be in the front row in thirty minutes or else!"
"Yes, Bruce! Right awa,y Bruce!" Tim yelps, scrambling up the stairway. There is a distant sound of screaming, then a few crashes the second he reaches the top, but Bruce knows he will not fail him.
He rushes to the grand ballroom hall, relieved to find the decorators hadn't put the statues on the end of the seating rows like he feared. Inside, they created a path leading into the doors, using the statues like pillars and leaving tastefully white clothes dropped from one to the other.
Inside, the grand ballroom hall looks like a winter wonderland, with soft white and ice blue decorating every inch of the room. Cass and Danny decided to make their wedding winter theme due to Danny's ice core and the fact that they met in winter.
Staff crowded every inch of the room, adding things, moving things, taking things, and speaking quickly and hurriedly. He knows he's a little stressed, but he will more than make it up to all of them for this quick and excellent service.
As a bonus, he'll rent an amusement park for them and their families for a full day. He'll have to make sure to include free meals and some tickets for the rides.
In the center of the room stood Jason, equipped with a clipboard and a headset, barking orders at the multiple staff members running about.
"Pam, I love those ice crystals," He says to a woman who was busy dangling them from the top of the highest pillars. She beams down from her perch at the top of the latter, which is at least fifteen feet long. Jason taps his headset. "How are we doing on the light and music synchronization, Timmy? Great! Remember, I want the lights to go up with every step she takes down the aisle."
Jason flips through some paper on his clipboard, adjusts his headset, and says, "Have we set up the smoke machines yet!? Cass is walking down that aisle in twenty minutes! Alight, thank you, I appreciate you."
Jason pauses, listening to whatever the other people in his headset are saying before he throws his hands up. "I don't care if the guests are getting impatient. They don't come in here until we finish. Don't worry. I'll gladly go out there myself to yell at them. "
He seems like he has a handle on things. Bruce is rather grateful that his second eldest manages to snag Duke and Cullen on his way to scream at Gotham elites. He knows they are the only ones throwing a fit about the delay due to the weather change.
None of Cass and Danny's actually beloved gusts would mind.
"B!" Dick calls, already dressed in his light blue suit. It looks lovely with the white tie and vest that can be seen underneath his suit jacket. "Danny is ready to go, and Cass is just getting her hair and make-up touched up again."
Bruce's heart launches. "My baby is getting married in twenty minutes."
Dick's smile is bright. "She is!"
Bruce's face crumbles as his eyes water. "My baby is getting married in twenty minutes."
His son's eyes widened, and he looked horror-struck. He presses a hand against his chest as though clutching nonexistent pearls. "She is."
"To think this all came to be because Kon sent that trend to try." Bart laughs, stepping beside them openly to gawk at the sight of the two heroes. "Are you two crying?"
"The mighty Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson crying," Kon perks up from where he was lodging at a nearby table. He had come in earlier to move the heavier pieces before any civilian could see him and was taking a break. "I never thought I see the day-"
"You did this!" Bruce snapped at the young man. Kon held up his hands, offering a nervous smile as the man rounded on him. "My baby is getting married because you sent Tim that video!"
"um.....Before I respond to this accusation, how many green stones do you have on you?"
A loud crash distracted Bruce from responding, seeing as it was followed by Damian's loud wailing. "No! No! I want to live!"
"Danny is not going to kill you!" Tim's frustrated voice screams back, "They never did!"
"I'll handle that." Dick sighs, rubbing his eyes clean. He pats Bruce's shoulder, taking him out of Kon's face- and earning a grateful nod from the clone. "You need to go meet up with Cass. You're walking her down the aisle in ten minutes."
Bruce runs towards his daughter's room, barely missing, running into Jazz, who flies by with a Ghost King Royal Cape. Today is going to be a fantastic day despite the stress.

I’m new
Hey I’m new to both this website and AO3 and got drawn to them because of a random obsession with this ship that started because of Tik tok and instagram. Does anyone know any ships with similar dynamics and universes to this one, I’ve read pretty much everything ao3 and tumblr have put out of them and am being driven up a wall trying to wait for more.

Cass jumped, swung and dove across the Gotham skyline. Flying across the city helped clear her head and allowed her to think. She was never the best with emotions and Phantom's request had certainly stirred up a lot.
She wasn't wholly surprised that David Cain had stolen her genetic material, or that he had sold it. Honestly that was one of the least harmful and violating things he had done to her when he had "raised" her.
Cass had given the DNA sample without complaint and without hesitation. She was a hero, not a weapon and heroes saved lives. She would and had given far more than just a DNA sample to save a life. It was an especially easy decision because Phantom was a hero as well and so was Stray. Bruce trusted Phantom, or at least trusted him as much as he trusted any member of the JL and Damian spoke surprisingly well of Stray's work with the Teen Titans.
However there were other things to consider with the fact that Stray shared her DNA. The young hero was her daughter. Even the thought pulled at her heart.
After the cruelty of her childhood at the hands of David Cain, Cassandra didn't think she would ever want to have children. She wasn't even entirely certain she could actually carry a baby to term. But now there was a child out there. Her child.
Cassandra of course knew all about clones. From her time with the League of Assassins, to meeting Kon-El. She knew not everyone treated their clones the same. Damian's were always set on killing him. Superman had given his the cold shoulder. But she also knew from that Stray was a real human person, one who just didn't arrive in the usual way. So that meant she was her daughter.
As she flew and glided through the air she reflected on her own childhood. The years of separation have given her the insight on exactly how cruel and inhumane her father had treated her. He didn't even treat her like a person. She was a weapon, a tool. And if what she knew about clones and what she had heard about Stray was true than her daughter had an unfortunately similar childhood.
While she had never wanted a kid of her own, or expected to have one, she knew she didn't want any theoretical child she could have to experience what she did. To never know that touch could be kind, that weapons could save lives, to never be loved. She wanted her daughter to be loved.
Cass landed elegantly on the very edge of a rooftop with a soft breath. If she had landed one inch further she would have fallen to the pavement below, one inch closer and she would have badly broken an ankle from the impact.
She knew that Phantom loved his clone. He cared for her, protected her and loved her. The wrath he had unleashed when Trigon had captured the Titans showed his devotion to Stray well enough. But if there was one thing that she had learned from joining the Wayne family was that a person could always be loved by more people. She had thought that surely at some point she would reach a point where she couldn't be loved or love any more, yet it kept coming.
She wanted to meet her Daughter. She wanted to have a relationship with her, and if Stray allowed it, she wanted to love her as well.
.
Phantom had been more than surprised by Batman's request. He had been ecstatic that Cassandra Cain had been willing to share her DNA, especially when he knew (from personal experience) how sensitive more people were to their genetic material being taken without their consent. Cain could have easily left Ellie to die but she didn't.
But it seems that wasn't the end of it! Ms. Cain wanted to meet Ellie and possibly get to know her daughter. That would be fantastic. He would go with them to make sure the Ellie wasn't hurt (and didn't put her foot to far down her own throat) but maybe someone else in Ellie's life may be just what the girl needs. He just hoped Ms. Cain was understanding about the change that had come over Ellie.
They had agreed to meet at a diner as civilians. They didn't want to draw undo attention to Ms. Cain so Danny had hesitantly revealed his identity to Batman so he could inform Ms. Cain not to be surprised. He was sitting at a table waiting for their guest to arrive when he heard the bell over the door clang.
Danny's jaw dropped as Cassandra Cain walked into the restaurant. He was certain if he had been drinking water at the time it would have dribbled down his chin. She was beautiful, stunning. She moved with the elegance and grace of a dancer, and if he remembered the small folio Batman had on the only girl adopted by Bruce Wayne correctly, she was the prima ballerina for the Gotham Ballet.
He belatedly remembered the manners Jazz and Pandora had spent months and years drilling into his head and rose as she approached. He may have accidentally phased through the table to keep from knocking it over, but hopefully Ms. Cain wouldn't notice. He gave her a short bow.
"It is wonderful to meet you Ms. Cain."
She gave him a small smile then signed to him in reply.
"Please call me C-A-S-S." Danny felt himself become entranced by her hands as she finger spelled her own name. Batman had warned him that Cass primarily used sign language, so he and Ellie had both brushed up on their ASL.
"Of course, Ms. Cass. Would you like to take a seat?" Danny offered and carefully pulled her seat out for her. She gave him a breathtaking smile and sat.
"Where is D-A-N-I-E-L-L-E? I was hoping to meet her." Cass signed once Danny returned to his own seat.
"Oh Ellie is-"
"RIGHT HERE!" Ellie popped up excitedly, all three foot nothing of her currently five year old body, jumping up next to Danny, almost scaring what little is left of his life out of him. He grabbed at his hammering heart that was almost beating at the level of a full human.
"Ancients, Ellie! You almost scared me all the way to death!" Danny tried to sound stern, but he could never really stay mad at her. He looked up to introduce Ellie and Cass only to pause seeing the confusion and concern clear on her face. Oh right, Stray was known to be a teenager, even if that wasn't her actual age.
"Oh, Cass this is Ellie, you may know her as the hero Stray." Danny said and waited for her to nod, even if she still had the same expression on her face. "In order to fully integrate your DNA and permanently stop her destabilizing we needed to revert her to her actual age. Physically, mentally, emotionally, she is now all of five years old."
Danny smiled and ruffled Ellie's hair making her preen like a cat. He and Frostbite hoped that this would be the end of Ellie's difficulties caused by Vlad's poor understanding of biology. He also hoped this would help her address some of the trauma she has from being cloned.
Cass looked stunned for a moment before giving Ellie a smile. Danny swore he could get lost in her eyes when she smiled like that.
"If you would like, I would love to be a part of your life, especially as you now get to grow up properly." Cass signed to Ellie.
Ellie gave her, her own bright smile.
"Danny already agreed that since I'm so little he's going to be my daddy. Are you going to be my new mommy?" Ellie asked, her eyes wide and pleading.
Danny choked and sputtered. He hadn't expected Ellie to just come out and ask that. He honestly couldn't tell if that was her being childish or if she was just trying to cause mischief.
"I'd like that. My mommy and daddy weren't very nice to me, so I want you to grow up loved, just like a little princess like you deserves." Cass signed, her smile growing warmer and she looked touched that Ellie would ask.
"Oh great. Then are you and daddy going to get married?" Now Danny knew she was causing mischief. He blushed all the way up to his pointed ears and he could see a dusting of red coloring Cass's cheeks. She looked even more gorgeous with that slight blush.
"Well, we'll have to see." Cass shot him a look and a smile and he couldn't help but smile back.
"Yeah, El, we'll have to see."
"You need what?"
"I know it's a lot to ask," cut in Danny before Batman could go from confused to angry, "Just let me explain. I swear it's for a good reason."
Batman eyed his teammate skeptically. King Phantom was one of the League's newest and youngest members. Despite his unorthodox introduction to the team, he and his sister, Stray, had proven to be valuable additions to the Justice League and to the Teen Titans respectively. He was tall and imposing, despite his relatively slender frame. His visage was made the more menacing by the Crown of Fire that hovered above his head in a tiny version of the Aurora Borealis instead of his predecessor's green flames, the royal armor over his jumpsuit, and the fur-trimmed coat made of a rippling window into space.
"Ok, so you know how Bruce Wayne adopted Cassandra Cain, but she's David Cain's biological daughter, right?"
"..."
"...right! So, at some point, David sold human eggs on the black market," he continued, "you have no idea how hard it was to get the information on Vlad's supplier, but we did figure out that he bought the eggs from Cain for his experiments and then completely messed up the cloning process."
"How?"
"We have no idea! But my clone, my sister, has my ghost DNA, but part of mine and someone else's human DNA."
"What makes you think it's Cassandra's?"
He pulled out his phone, a two-year-old model with a cracked screen, and showed him the face of his sixteen-year-old sister in her human form next to a picture of Bruce's own eighteen-year-old daughter from a tabloid.
"She looks a lot like me," he admitted, "but she also looks a lot like Cassandra Cain, so we think Vlad got a sample mixed up or forgot to take out a nucleus or something and made-."
"A daughter instead of a clone."
It was a good thing Phantom wasn't particularly good at reading body language, or his tightening fist might've alerted him that something was wrong.
"I mean... sort of? It's different with clones. She's technically my daughter but I turned nineteen, like, a month ago, so I don't thi- I'm getting off track! The point is, Dani's destabilizing again and I need a clean DNA sample to help her. I tried to get into Wayne manor, but the place is warded to hell and back. You know Bruce Wayne, right? Can you help me talk with Cassandra?"
Batman sighed and turned his head to Phantom's right.
"Orphan."
"Motherfu-! How long has she been standing there!?"
She didn't respond to his yelp/question and instead turned to Batman.
"Take a tube to Gotham and ask Cassandra Wayne for a DNA sample."
Orphan nodded and walked off to the tubes.
"... Is it just me or was she a little quieter than usual?"
Bruce sighed, not looking forward to whatever his week was about to become.

Dannys at Wayne enterprise because his parents want to submit their inventions and "scientific" discoverys for official review. He's bored out of his mind and meets this beautiful girl his age and strikes up a conversation with her. (Or he meets a girl and starts to rant like his father.)
Danny: im just saying Orphan has to be a vampire!
????(cass): No.
Danny: Are you kidding me? She moves with far to much elegance and grace to be mortal. Credit to the other bats but they move like mortals. She dances around both rogues and vigilantes!
????(cass): *blushing* No vampire.
Danny: ok maybe not a vampire but like a shadow demon or dhamphir or something! She's to much!
????(cass): orphan. Is. good. What about others?
Danny: oh! stabby robin and red hood are top tier obviously!
????(cass): oh?
Danny: well yeah! Stabby robin practices the art of the sword, a forgotten art in modern times. And red hood shoots pedophiles! Who doesn't like that?
????(cass): Batman.
Danny: well that says something about batman doesn't it. Have you seen the first Robin's outfit? Oof!
*in cass's ear*: Red Robin here. Good job on keeping danny distracted orphan. We're in the process of arresting Danny's parents. Can you keep it up?
????(cass): mhmm. Hey. Cute boy. Take me out to lunch?
Danny: Oh! Yeah! My parents will take hours explaining everything anyway, But uhm. What's your name?
????(cass): call me cass. This is a date, Yes?
Danny: *blushing* oh, uhm, yes. I'm Danny by the way.
Cass: Danny very cute.
Red robin: uhm? You don't have to do that orphan. Hello? ...Please don't make me explain this to B. Orphan?
Batman: Follow. Them.

The Bats tend to have favorite civilians, paramedics, cops, that they love to mess with or claim. It gets even worse when multiple Bats favor the same person and try to call dibs.
Danny ends up as one of these people.
It starts when he gets off of work late and finds Red Hood and Red Robin sitting on the curb eating pizza. He hadn't eaten anything all day, and it smelled delicious, and so what few braincells Danny had left scattered and he asks, "Can I have a slice?"
Both vigilantes turn to look at him, then each other, and shrug. They let him take a slice.
It was only the beginning.
Spoiler gets a tired "thanks" saving Danny from a mugging.
Black Bat practically buzzes with glee when she learns Danny knows sign language and helps her speak with a child witness.
Signal gets a more energetic Danny, though also a cautious distance after Signal once smacked into Danny and spilled his coffee all over the poor man.
Nightwing gets the brunt of one of his bad days when Danny decides he's done being held hostage and slips out of the bindings to chuck his shoe at the Riddler. Nightwing hi-fives him later for managing to hit Riddler in the face.
Even Robin has moments with Danny, after catching him taking care of some stray animals amd chasing off idiots who were looking for dogs to put into a recent (and very quickly shut down) dog fighting ring.
When everyone actually figures out Danny is the SAME Danny they all have been seeing around, Bruce has to fight the instinctive headache at the incoming fights. And resist the urge of looking up what seemed to be just a random Gothamite.
Danny at this point just wants a nap. And for these weird undead beings that didn't do well with his ice to stop coming for him. He had student debts to pay.

Danny: Don't make it obvious, but that girl I told you about is about to walk by our store window-
Dan/Dani/Jazz: *Pressing themselves against the glass* The one in the purple or the one with the bob?
Danny: Stop it! They can see you! Aghhh *dives under counter* She saw me!
Dan: It's the one with the bob.
Dani: she's hot!
Jazz: You should go out there with free samples, Danny. Start a conversation.
Danny: For all that is holy, GET AWAY FROM THE WINDOW.
Outside the shop
Steph: Aw, was that the guy you were telling me about? The one that blushed that hard and dove under the counter?
Cass: Yes, isn't he cute? He co-owns the chocolate store with his siblings.
Steph: Yummy. You should go in there! Ask for some free samples, and start a conversation. Get your flirt on.
Cass: I'm waiting for the right moment. He looks like he's going to have a heart attack every time he sees me, but I can tell he likes me.
Steph: Want to loop back and pretend to stare at the bunny chocolate display?
Cass: *Taking off her cardigan* Well, he does need to build up an immunity to my looks.

Let's talk lanterns!
The Spring Lantern Festival marks the end of Chinese New Year celebrations and the first full moon of the Lunar New Year. Lanterns represent a number of things, from peace and reconciliation, to unity and family, and also prosperous beginnings for the new year.
The festival in Hong Kong consists of several events and activities:
Lantern Displays; For an entire month displays are lit and the public get to roam and enjoy the sights. These lanterns are very colorful and take on many shapes and sizes. Themes vary from year to year, but there is a good chance you can find auspicious such as goldfish and pomegranates, and even zodiac animals.
Lantern Carnival; This includes things such as musical performances, acrobatics, folk song and dances, dragon parades and lion dances!
Lantern Lighting; Some Lanterns will contain riddles with words of wisdom or fortunes for festival goers to try and solve. For some the ambiance of all the colorful lights feels quite romantic, and some have also referenced the atmosphere as similar to Valentine's Day.
We hope today's little blurb has inspired everyone! 'Til next time!

I propose this.
Cass can read anybody she looks at like a book. Because of this she has never found anyone interesting. But due to danny halfa eldritch nature she gets nothing, a literal blank. For the first time in forever she has no idea what to expect. She instantly has a crush on the strange boy that she can't read.
DP x DC Prompt Idea: Dangerous
Cassandra's main thing is being able to read and understand body language. Yeah, to a degree all of the Bats possess this skill but Cassandra takes it to a whole new level. Nobody is better at it than she is.
In a way she sometimes reminded herself of a machine the way the information filtered into her brain. The way it categorized each and every person she came across. On the street, in her house, even in the mirror. Everybody had something.
So to come across a person who outwardly looked normal on the outside that she couldn't read she didn't understand. Yes, he has data but the data isn't making any sense!
He's just sitting there texting on his phone, chuckling harmlessly.
Yet every instinct in her body and everything 'harmless' that he was doing was a red flag. It was strange and wrong. But the biggest problem is that she couldn't even identify what about him was so dangerous.
Texting Somebody: Dangerous.
Laughing: Dangerous.
Relaxed Posture: Dangerous.
He wasn't even looking around! He was completely drawn in by whatever was on his phone, having absolutely no care in the world as the bus continued and this kid - who was probably no older than 14 - was just texting away.
It wasn't until the bus suddenly screeched to a halt and the doors were smashed open by some low legal thugs that those signals made sense. They made sense because while everybody else complied with the commands of the men - even Cassandra who might have alerted Oracle before she got to her knees on the floor.
Yet this kid stayed in one place.
"Didn't you hear what I said, kid!? Get on the damn floor!"
The kid didn't even look up before he reacted.
The once non-existent tension in his body changed with no outward sign as he shoved himself forward, shoving the barrel of the gun upwards before punching the man in the jaw so hard that Cass heard it snap out of place as he was thrown backwards against a bar in the bus aisle and dented it. The other two men who were in on the attack were caught off guard as this kid flipped the safety on the gun locking it and in the same fluid motion threw the gun at one of the men, smacking him square in the forehead.
Cassandra was still wrapping her mind around this reckless action before the kid pulled another, rushing towards the final man, grabbing another one of the aisle bars and swinging himself, kicking him in the chest and knocking him right back out the door they'd entered through. The gun went off as it was dropped, but all three men were disarmed and the kid picked up the guns. Dropped the clips into his hand, emptied the chamber then discarded them on one side of the bus before he simply tossed the clips out the nearest window, the clips slipping directly into a drain without any bit of aim.
"What the hell are you, kid?" Groaned the first man, "A bat?"
"Bat? No way, man. Anyways, thanks for the lift Mr. Bus Driver." The kid then promptly walked out of the door, jumped over the man on the ground and made his way down the street.
Cass couldn't wrap her mind what just happened but she understood the warnings.
That kid was dangerous.
She had to get him on the team.

Phantom Quits the Justice League
(This is my first post like this so there may be errors, sorry in advance. So I remember seeing some posts where the JL think and act like Danny is a meta. I was inspired to try to make my own.)
Danny is working with Justice League for a few weeks as a teenage hero and he’s had it with them. Danny’s had it with working with “Professional Hero’s”. Even though he is currently in the Watchtower in SPACE his blood boiling he is quitting today. He’ll just stay in Amity Park and only leave when necessary.
Danny see’s Batman walk around and Danny sees this as his opportunity. He flys up to Batman.
Danny: Batman!
Before Batman has a chance to respond.
Danny: I quit. I’m done. I can’t stand being in a place where people seem to think it’s okay to ask me a question then completely ignore me. I don’t know what everyone’s deal is but they act like they know every little detail about my life.
First Flash asked me about my powers and I told him I was in a lab accident and he just lectures me about lab safety and I should know better. He’s acting like I wanted it to happen. Like I didn’t intend for it to happen thats why it’s an accident.
Or when I’m working at a desk and I start floating then Green Lantern Hal gets on my case about using my powers unnecessarily. He didn’t even let me explain that my natural state is essentially zero gravity and that I have to concentrate to turn on and off gravities affect on me.
Don’t forget people get upset at me staring out at space. I get that I lose track of time because of it. But no one lets me explain that my second obsession is space and that fighting to fulfill it is dangerous for my health. If they do listen they just blow me off.
And I apparently need to just bottle all my emotions up otherwise my intangibility will start acting up and I either can’t hold things or I fall through the floor. I’m sorry I’m a teenager that doesn’t have a complete handle on his emotions. And that amazing, stealthy, deadly girl in all black bat costume. I just couldn’t help it when she said hello to me the other day, it made my heart beat at a regular pace. Ancients I just wis- would really like it if she would just punch me into next week…”
Danny stares in the distance before slowly realizing what he just said in front of Batman. The anger Danny had replaced by an awkward shyness as he slowly drops to the ground.
Danny: Here’s the league communicator and badge. I’m just gonna go back to Amity Park and never leave… ever.
After Danny left Batman standing there Black Bat, Nightwing, Red Robin and Robin come around the corner.
Nightwing: looks like Cass left the boy starstruc- (Nightwing dodges a kick from Black Bat).
Robin: This is no laughing matter Greyson. A mentally unstable individual who seems to want to be physically abused by Cassandra is expressing romantic feelings for her. Father, Drake surely you both see that this boy is unfit for her. (Robin dodges a punch to the head)
Red Robin: Not getting involved in that. B we still have to get to what was meant to be Phantoms evaluation meeting.
Batman: Hm

LOA and Ghost Cultures
Wanna know what.
Another Dead Serious prompt idea spawned.
Damian was League of Assassins raised we all know that so what if he takes ques on how to woo you're potential partner from those teachings.
And we get mainly outsiders POVs and think Damian is trying to kill or threatening one Daniel 'Danny' Fenton after the boy accidentally knocked Damian onto the ground via punch to the face (Danny was stressing hard that day, new school and had just gotten out of a fight with Vlad that night so he was running on little sleep)
Eventually the family (everyone but Bruce) get together to try to get Damian to stop his 'threats' and one of two things can happen.
Either they eventually bring it up to Bruce who at first is worried like the rest of them but then realizes what Damian is actually doing because he has the same experience from Talia's courting.
OR Babs warns them that Damian was spotted entering the Fenton home and seemed geared for a fight, they go running to stop Damian from maybe carrying out his plan, and stumble onto the two making out after a brawl.

Danny was forced to flee from his home universe due to the actions of the Guys in White.
At first, his new universe of choice seemed amazing! Sure the crime rate seemed higher than back home, but superpowers a known thing! If his powers are discovered, he’ll have actual legal protections! And better yet, they have actual living aliens!!
But then as he tried to integrate himself into a normal life, he found the catch.
Apparently, pheromones and associated “pack” instincts are an integral aspect of social interactions in this universe. And since he’s from a different one, he has neither.
It’s like being an outcast at Casper High all over again.
Without the pheromones, he comes off as uncannily flat to basically everyone he meets—never mind how he’s constantly missing context about the people around him. And even if someone does try to connect with him, it seems like his lack of pack instincts might make him come across as dismissive anyway.
He already struggled with social cues sometimes before, but this made things a million times worse.
Luckily, he’s already found a light in the darkness.
Cass.
He’s not quite sure how he befriended the quiet girl, but she’s the best. Even without having pheromones, she seems to just get him. Plus, she’s been indispensable in helping him learn how to understand and navigate social situations properly.
As far as he’s concerned, she’s basically an angel.
He gets the sense she was an outsider like him too once, though he hasn’t tried to pry into her backstory. The last thing he wants is to damage their friendship.
Which is also why he’s trying to keep his growing crush on the down-low too. He doubts she feels the same way, so there’s no reason to rock the boat.
