I like it here on tumblr, where I can just continue to shout to the void and ignore the fact I’m being perceived. I like the silence. I like the lack of response sometimes. Maybe I am a little overstimulated by social media. Just a little.

I set things down for a little today after having a rough day. It was nice. I wish I had the ability to do that more often. I am considering making this place my official ramble zone. Perhaps I could spout my head off about the things I don’t share on my louder more spotlit plaforms. It’s nice to take a breath from where you’re constantly viewed, you know? I think I’m tired.

I miss LMK. I feel like my active public expression of interest has been watering itself down because of how much I’ve been avoiding LMKtwt. I have fun in lmktwt sometimes, don’t get me wrong. But like I said, sometimes social media can be so overstimulating. Twt especially. It seems there’s a problem consistently in lmktwt these days, so I’ve been avoiding it a lot. I keep indulging in other interests to cope with hiatus as well. And while I know this doesn’t mean I love LMK any less, it does leave me sad at the thought and fear that what would happen if I fell out of love with this show I love so dearly just bc I’m overstimulated and tired by social media? I won’t think too hard about it. I’ll let things come as they do. I’m still very much in love with LMK. Perhaps I just need a bit of a break. But I love my community and the people I’ve brought together in this community.. sometimes, however, it’s hard not to worry that eventually I will wrap things up in this fandom and say goodbye to a chapter that I hold dear to me. I worry that my audience will not stick around. I wonder if it matters to me, if it should matter at all, if I’m wrong for caring? So I’m taking my time to remind myself to love my other interests, to find value in the cherished moments I’m experiencing now rather than worrying about situations that haven’t even happened yet and might very well not… I’m reminding myself that who cares!! Who cares if people don’t stick around after I eventually move onto the next fandom, people come and go all the time in life and it’s okay to find a new audience that will enjoy my stuff. I like the peace that stepping away gives me.

I feel refreshed. Thanks for listening, silly tumblr followers. If you see me a little inactive on Twt, assume I’m busy or simply just keeping distant from it for my own sake. I’m content with the current state of my rlshp w social media and my presence on it. That is not a common thing for me. So I’m just enjoying my time.

Oh, yeah. And it’s not even just the backgrounds. The sheer amount of foreshadowing in S3 was is insane. But to have minute details such as the backgrounds foreshadowing the 4th ring as well, is a whole other level of impressive foreshadowing. And just impressive altogether. 

I swear the team working on LMK has my whole entire unfiltered appreciation. Everyone working on it is just so damn talented and amazing at what they do. 

As if S3 weren’t amazing enough with just the cast, the plot, the episodes, etc. The writing had to be fucking amazing and the art, the animation, the sound design, the music- Literally every single thing in S3 is my favorite. God, it hits SO GOOD. 

S4 was awesome and action-packed and intense, I’m eager to see where we’re headed with the arrival of the 5th season, but S3 remains my favorite to date. Even if I have my own personal gripes with certain things-- such as the writers hyping up the Samadhi Fire and foreshadowing this whole thing with the fourth ring being Mei, as if it were something really important and integral to the story, only to not even really use it and just chuck it in the bin even after building it up for an entire season, essentially rendering the Samadhi Fire/Mei being the 4th ring pretty fucking pointless/useless... Therefore wasting all of its potential- I still love S3, nonetheless

And of course, the show as a whole. Flaws and all. In fact, I’d say there are way more positives about the show than any negatives I could ever even try to conjure up. So while I may have my peeves, what the show lacks, they always find a way to make up for and then some.

Not a ask but I wanted to say I really appreciate how well u write not cis/het characters! While well meaning I often find alot other blogs a little clumsy (I dont mean to complain it's people writing for free on the internet and there trying) and I can find it a little disconnected; so it's refreshing reading you work and feeling understood. tldr: anon ily and appreciate you muah muah / the x reader space as a whole needs to make room for more diversity

i'd attribute it to being very queer myself, but honestly something a lot of these (overwhelmingly cis and typically het but the latter's been slowly changing for some time now) writers kind of forget, while trying their darndest to be inclusive, is that writing mlm, wlw, t4t, or just character x queer reader is that queer folks are just regular ol' people so they kind of end up missing the mark a little bit

if it's not explicitly nsfw content, i kind of find it difficult to overtly convey the reader's gender in my fics or headcanons because aside from saying it at the start or including specifically gendered pet names, there really isn't much distinction even when i want to write explicitly gay stuff for myself ^^;; (unless specified otherwise though a lot of my work, especially for law, is written with the pretext that it's t4t mlm because i'm projecting--)

and you're right! what they're essentially doing is writing for strangers on the internet, for free! but well meaning as they are, cishet writers are inevitably going to run into some hurdles and that's kind of to be expected for anyone who doesn't have in-depth knowledge or life experience with a certain topic - write what you know, y'know?

but the solution here really is just making room for/support/uplifting more queer ppl's writing and the rest will (hopefully) follow by osmosis since those cishet writers would have more content for reference and ideally also interact with queer readers/creators who'd help point out certain gaps in their writing

and when i say making room for more queer creators in the x reader space i do mean all of them (bipoc, aro, ace, demi, poly, intersex, gnc cis folk, gay trans folk, the whole kitten kaboodle) i haven't written much wlw content because honestly i find a lot more enjoyment in trans mlm stuff because i am a queer transmasc, so i make content catered towards my niche - but i'd be overjoyed to see my women/nb loving women pals flourish with content catered to them instead of the barren wasteland that is the state of fem readers x fem character, much less trans readers
