Dear Taylor.... my queen!!!
I know you are very busy getting ready for the big brilliant exciting mind-blowing tour coming up... but I hope that if you get on here you happen to read my message that I sent you!! I feel like I'm going crazy figuring out how to get a hold of you... they should really call you Santa Swift LOL🤩🤩🥰🥰
I started this Tumblr page hoping that you will notice and though it is a long shot I am praying that one of my messages gets through to you and when I find out where to send the handwritten letters that I read I will be sending them as well.... your music has wrapped itself around my heart and soul❤️🩹❤️🩹🥰 I am a disabled veteran and I suffer from PTSD and other physical disabilities and I have never been to a concert in my life but if I don't get to see you at least once in this lifetime and hear and feel your music in person.. I will be utterly devastated🥺🥺💔💔 so here's hoping and praying to my guardian angels (IE my mom and dad and my grandparents...)
Your music is the only thing that helps me when I'm having a night terror or an emotional breakdown or just an all-around bad day❤️❤️ it calms me like nothing else ever has or ever will.. I cannot afford to come and see you in concert because the cheapest tickets start out at $653!! When you're single disabled and on a budget but still work full time well let's just say that's more than my rent with some bills included... I live in Pennsylvania and I would give anything to see you in person... I've never been to a concert in my life partly because of my PTSD but I know that if I go and see you I will be okay because of what your music does for me🎵🎶💜❤️🔥❤️🥰❤️🩹
So here I am putting myself out there hoping that somehow you will see this❤️❤️

1, 6, 7, 19, 28, 43, 56, 79, 84, and 85 :)
1. What’s the biggest misconception about your fav artist?
I'm trying to think of misconceptions
I think it kinda goes without saying that the music our parents grew up with is a lot more liberal than some of them care to think, i think that about a lot of my favourite artists so I can't narrow it down, but like boomers will go on and on about how music wasn't as "pc" as it is now and they are Incorrect
6. Write down your dream set list for any artist of your choice
Let's do Queen so without much rhyme or reason
Now I'm Here
Hammer To Fall
Another One Bites The Dust
Headlong
Bohemian Rhapsody
Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy
39
Love of My Life
Keep Yourself Alive
Seven Seas of Rhye
Maybe the Ay-oh part now
Breakthru
Liar
Brighton Rock
Killer Queen
I Want To Break Free
Radio Gaga
The Show Must Go On
(Maybe We Will Rock You/We Are The Champions)
God Save the Queen
7. What is a gig you wish you’d been able to go to (but either couldn’t go, or because you weren’t even born)?
I wish I went to see Fleetwood Mac in 2019 but I chose not to, like a fool
And then for ones I wasn't alive during, I just wish I could have gone to see Queen with Freddie and John still there, or literally any TPATH show from when Stan was still there
19. If there was one thing you could tell to concert goers, what would it be?
Be safe :)
Make friends but like trust your instincts if people seem weird
Generally everyone I've met at a concert has been really cool though
28. Name an underrated artist
Mike 👏 Campbell 👏
43.If you could meet your fav artist to have a chat around coffee, what would you tell them?
I would simply pass out tbh
Or pull a Stan meeting Ringo moment, "thank you for my pants?"
I'd want to thank them and apologize for boring them with my questions BUT I get nervous too easily
56. The cheapest and most expensive tickets you ever bought: who was it? was it worth it?
Cheapest, Edgefest to see Rise Against, definitely worth it
Most expensive, Elton John, and I'm sure they will be worth it
79. What is the most important to you in a song: the lyrics, the melody, the voice range?
The lyrics
84.A line from a song that really moved you
So many omg
But like, I cry all the time during Wildflowers
"You belong somewhere you feel free" is just,,,so important to me
85.Is there anything music related on your bucket list?
Learning an instrument. I think I've decided on guitar but I'm not 100% yet

Upcoming Performances by Dame Sarah Connolly
[NOTE: this post is now out of date. Check the schedule tag on my blog for the most recent version of this list.]
After the jump: an unofficial schedule of Dame Sarah Connolly’s future performances. Those of you in Britain may catch a performance in London, Cardiff, Leeds, Oxford, Gloucester, Bath, or Lewes. Those on the Continent may see her in Berlin, Madrid, Paris, Antwerp, Amsterdam, Geneva, Zeist, Baden-Baden, Vilabertran (Catalunya), or Capestang (Languedoc). And finally, those of us in North America have engagements in New York and Philadelphia to look forward to! Don’t live near one of these places? Take in a concert from afar: I am adding online broadcast and livestream details as they become available.
This is not an authoritative list. These are the upcoming performances by Dame Sarah Connolly that I have been able to learn about from Dame Sarah’s agent's website (Askonas Holt), Operabase, Bachtrack, Dame Sarah's Twitter, and generally ferreting around the web.
I sometimes list concerts that are not yet officially confirmed; you should of course check official sources before making plans and be aware that cast changes and cancellations can happen at any time.
I have added links to venue, ticketing, and broadcast information where available. Tips on new information are always welcome! Please contact me via email (verdiprati [at] selveamene [dot] com), Tumblr messaging, or ask box (plain prose only in the ask box; anything with links or an email address will get eaten by Tumblr filters) with corrections or additions.
Handel, Giulio Cesare (title role) at Glyndebourne, last two shows on July 24 and 28, 2018. In a revival of the legendary 2005 production by David McVicar, with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment conducted by William Christie (June 10 - July 6) and Jonathan Cohen (July 10 - 28). With Joélle Harvey as Cleopatra, plus Christophe Dumaux and Patricia Bardon reprising the roles of Tolomeo and Cornelia respectively; also starring Anna Stéphany (Sesto), John Moore (Achilla), and Kangmin Justin Kim (Nireno).
Recital of English song at the BBC Proms, Cadogan Hall, London, August 6, 2018. With Joseph Middleton. The repertoire includes works by Britten, Bridge, Vaughn Williams, Parry, Holst, and several others—all of whom “studied or taught at the Royal College of Music”—with two world premieres by Mark-Anthony Turnage and Lisa Illean.
[Broadcast] As with all BBC Proms performances, this one will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 3 and should remain available for listening on demand for about a month afterward.
Appearance at a charity concert to benefit the Ligue contre le cancer, Capestang, Languedoc, August 11, 2018. Dame Sarah’s participation is mentioned in English-language writeups here and here. There are very scant clues as to what repertoire she might perform.
Recital at the Schubertíada Vilabertran, August 18, 2018. With pianist Malcolm Martineau and viola player Jonathan Brown. Repertoire includes songs by Brahms, Mahler’s Kindertotenlieder, and English songs by Richard Rodney Bennett, Ivor Gurney, and Frank Bridge.
[New! Broadcast] I can’t figure out how to deep-link the schedule on the radio station’s website, but this concert is scheduled to be broadcast live on Catalunya Música. I can’t promise that it will be available for listening on demand later, but CatMúsica generally makes concert recordings available (sometimes after a few days’ delay) here. (You may need to click “Tots” to see the full list. Concerts expire from the website after about a month.) UPDATE: Sorry, false alarm! I was looking at a schedule of live performances in the region, not the schedule of radio broadcasts. Oops! There is other programming scheduled at the time of Dame Sarah’s recital at Vilabertran. I believe the recital will be recorded but presumably we will have to wait a few weeks or months before it comes up for broadcast.
[Masterclass] Public masterclass at Wigmore Hall, London, September 19, 2018. Part of Dame Sarah’s residency at the Wigmore. Tickets go on sale to the general public May 29.
Wagner, Das Rheingold and Die Walküre (Fricka in both) at the Royal Opera, London, September 24 through October 28, 2018. A revival of Keith Warner’s Ring Cycle, with Antonio Pappano conducting. For cast and date details, see the ROH web pages linked above. As of this writing, the ROH is only allowing customers to purchase tickets for an entire cycle of the four operas; I’m not sure whether they’ll allow separate booking later. The October 28 performance will be livecast to cinemas; the October 18 performance, also marked “Filming,” is presumably a dry run for the camera crews and/or a chance to gather additional footage for promos and perhaps an eventual DVD release (we can hope).
[Broadcast] As mentioned above, the October 28 performance of Die Walküre is scheduled for livecast to cinemas. You can use this page to search for a screening near you—if you live in the UK, Europe, South Africa, or the US. At the moment, there do not appear to be any screenings scheduled elsewhere.
Mahler, Das Lied von der Erde at the Royal Festival Hall, London, September 29, 2018. With Stuart Skelton and the London Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Vladimir Jurowski. In a concert with Mitsiko Uchida playing Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 27.
Appearance at “Opera For All” anniversary show at the English National Opera, London, October 10, 2018. Repertoire TBA. Somewhat ironically, tickets for “Opera For All” start at a hefty £45 for a few seats far back in the Upper Circle and Dress Circle, and climb steeply to £75 for the next cheapest price bracket. Update: the powers that be at ENO seem to have realized the error of their ways. As of this writing, I’m seeing tickets for £15 (very few seats), £45, and £55, as well as the pricier options (£75 and £125).
Mahler, Das Lied von der Erde at the Philharmonie Berlin, October 14, 2018. With Torsten Kerl and the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin conducted by Vladimir Jurowski.
[Broadcast] The concert listing on the RSB website includes a notation “Konzert mit Deutschlandfunk Kultur,” implying (I believe) that it will be broadcast on said radio station. As of this writing, it is still too early to confirm this on the radio station’s site, but keep an eye out closer to the date.
Recital of English song at the Oxford Lieder Festival, October 22, 2018. With Eugene Asti. Songs in English by numerous British composers including Rebecca Clarke, Muriel Herbert, and Sally Beamish. There is a good deal of overlap with the selections on Dame Sarah’s recent album “Come to Me in My Dreams.”
Concert with the Tenebrae Consort at Wigmore Hall, London, October 24, 2018. Part of Dame Sarah’s yearlong residency at the Wigmore. The mostly English repertoire centers on a new piece by Judith Bingham setting poetry by Ivor Gurney. The choir throws in some Schoenberg at the end.
Blow, Venus and Adonis and Purcell, Dido and Aeneas in concert at the Concertgebouw, Amsterdam, November 3, 2018. With the Early Opera Company conducted by Christian Curnyn. Dame Sarah’s co-stars are Jonathan McGovern, Lucy Crowe, Dame Felicity Palmer, and Rowan Pierce.
Tippett, A Child of our Time at the Paris Philharmonie, November 7 and 8, 2018. With Michelle Bradley, Mark Padmore, John Relyea, and the Orchestre de Paris conducted by Thomas Adès in a concert also featuring symphonic works by Berlioz and Adès.
Recital at the Bath Mozartfest, Guildhall, Bath, November 13, 2018. With Joseph Middleton. Repertoire to include “Deh, per questo istante solo” from La Clemenza di Tito as well as songs by Schubert, Ravel, Debussy, Gurney, and Ireland. The Bath Box Office website says “Online booking for this event opens at 09:30 on 30 Jul 2018.”
"L’invitation au voyage,” song recital at Wigmore Hall, London, November 16, 2018. With James Newby and Joseph Middleton. The repertoire is Ravel-centric but not all by Ravel himself. Part of Dame Sarah’s residency at the Wigmore and also part of a Ravel song series being presented by the venue over the course of the year.
Beethoven, Missa Solemnis at deSingel, Antwerp, November 21, 2018. Part of a tour by Le Concert Olympique and the Arnold Schoenberg Chor. With Malin Hartelius, Steve Davislim, and Hanno Müller-Brachmann; conducted by Jan Caeyers.
Beethoven, Missa Solemnis at the Philharmonie Berlin, November 23, 2018. Part of a tour by Le Concert Olympique and the Arnold Schoenberg Chor. Tickets appear to be on sale here. With Malin Hartelius, Steve Davislim, and Hanno Müller-Brachmann; conducted by Jan Caeyers.
Beethoven, Missa Solemnis at the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, December 1, 2018. Part of a tour by Le Concert Olympique and the Arnold Schoenberg Chor. With Malin Hartelius, Steve Davislim, and Hanno Müller-Brachmann; conducted by Jan Caeyers.
Appearance at the Glyndebourne Tour: Golden Anniversary Celebration at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, London, December 4, 2018. Sir Thomas Allen and Sir John Tomlinson are also appearing at the concert, and the Glyndebourne website says “More performers will be announced in the coming weeks.” The program has not been announced yet but I will be surprised if Dame Sarah doesn’t reprise an aria or two from Giulio Cesare. I don’t see a way to purchase tickets online but they apparently are available by phoning the box office.
Wagner, Das Rheingold (Fricka) at the Teatro Real, Madrid, January 17 through February 1, 2019. In a production by Robert Carsen; conducted by Pablo Heras-Casado. Co-stars include Greer Grimsley (Wotan) and Sophie Bevan (Freia) among others.
Berlioz, L’Enfance du Christ with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales at Hoddinott Hall, Cardiff, February 15, 2019. Sir Andrew Davis conducts; the other vocal soloists in the all-Brit, all-excellent lineup are Andrew Staples, Roderick Williams, and Matthew Brook.
Recital with Julius Drake at the Concertgebouw, Amsterdam, March 5, 2019. Works by R. Schumann, Brahms, Wolf, A. Mahler, and Zemlinsky.
Recital with Julius Drake at the Grand Théâtre de Genève, March 7, 2019. I don’t see the repertoire mentioned on the theater’s website as of this writing, but presumably it will be similar to the works presented in Amsterdam and Philadelphia in the duo’s other recitals this month.
Recital with Julius Drake at the Teatro de la Zarzuela, Madrid, March 11, 2019. Works by Brahms, Wolf, Roussel, Debussy, and Zemlinsky.
Recital with Julius Drake at Wigmore Hall, London, March 15, 2019. Part of Dame Sarah’s yearlong residency at the Wigmore. Repertoire TBA, but may have some works in common with those programmed for Connolly and Drake’s other recitals in the same month. Listed in the season preview brochure [PDF].
Recital with Julius Drake at the Kimmel Center, Philadelphia, March 22, 2019. Sponsored by the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society. Repertoire includes works by Brahms, Wolf, Roussel, Debussy, and Zemlinksy.
Wagner, Götterdämmerung (Waltraute) at the Metropolitan Opera, New York, April 27, May 4, and May 11, 2019. In a revival of Robert Lepage’s production of the Ring cycle, with all shows to be conducted by Philippe Jordan. Oddly, the entire cast list seems to have disappeared from the Met website, but Operabase confirms my recollection that Dame Sarah was once listed there. Dame Sarah’s co-stars in Götterdämmerung (according to notes that I took when the cast list was still on the Met site) include Christine Goerke (Brünnhilde), Stefan Vinke / Andreas Schager (sharing the role of Siegfried), Edith Haller (Gutrune), Eric Owens (Hagen), Evgeny Nitikin (Gunther), and Tomasz Konieczny (Alberich). The de-listing of the entire cast is very odd though and I would take this information with a grain of salt; perhaps there is some rejiggering going on. Update: the Metropolitan Opera announced in a tweet on August 9 that Dame Sarah will be replaced by Michaela Schuster in all performances of Götterdämmerung.
[Details TBA] Appearance at the Internationaal LiedFestival Zeist (Netherlands), late May, 2019. The festival dates are May 17-26. Programming details have not yet been released as of this writing, but Dame Sarah is mentioned as one of the performing artists.
Elgar, The Dream of Gerontius with the Hallé and three choruses at Victoria Hall, Leeds, June 1, 2019. Barry Banks and David Soar are the other vocal soloists; Simon Wright conducts. General ticket sales (for non-subscribers) begin August 18.
[New!] Mahler, Des Knaben Wunderhorn (extracts) and Janáček, Glagolitic Mass at the Maison de la Radio, Paris, June 20, 2019. With the Orchestre National de France and the Choeur de Radio France, conducted by Jukka-Pekka Saraste. The other soloists for the Glagolitic Mass are Simona Šaturov, Mati Turi, and Christof Fischesser.
[Broadcast] This concert will be broadcast live on France Musique.
Recital with Malcolm Martineau at Wigmore Hall, London, July 23, 2019. Part of Dame Sarah’s yearlong residency at the Wigmore. Repertoire TBA. Listed in the season preview brochure [PDF].
[New!] Berlioz, La damnation de Faust (in concert, presumably) at the Three Choirs Festival, Gloucester, July 27, 2019. With Peter Hoare, Christopher Purves, and David Ireland. Tickets go on sale to the general public on April 24. The concert is listed in the preview brochure here [PDF]; full program details are set to be announced in early 2019.
[New!] Bob Chilcott, A Christmas Oratorio (premiere) at the Three Choirs Festival, Gloucester, August 1, 2019. With Nick Pritchard and Neal Davies. Tickets go on sale to the general public on April 24. The concert is listed in the preview brochure here [PDF]; full program details are set to be announced in early 2019.
[Unconfirmed / details TBA] Handel, Agrippina at the Dutch National Opera. Hugh Canning recently tweeted the news that the Royal Opera is planning to offer Barrie Kosky’s new production of Agrippina with Joyce DiDonato in the title role; in a reply that has now been deleted, Dame Sarah mentioned that she and Alice Coote would do the same production in Amsterdam and Munich. (If you are a member of the Sarah Connolly fan group on Facebook, you can see a screenshot there.) Subsequent discussion revealed that Coote would get the Munich gig (in July 2019), so Connolly must be the Amsterdam Agrippina. The DNO has already announced its ‘18-’19 season and Agrippina isn’t in it, so presumably we’re looking towards ‘19-’20 or beyond.
[Unconfirmed / details TBA] Brett Dean, Hamlet (Gertrude) somewhere in the United States. Allan Clayton, who starred in the title role of Brett Dean’s Hamlet at Glyndebourne in 2017, mentioned in a recent interview with the Telegraph that he would be reprising the role at an unspecified date and venue in the US. When prompted on Twitter, Dame Sarah indicated that she would be participating in the revival, too (“I shall be misunderstanding my confused boy again”). Hat tip to Christopher Lowrey, who sang Guildenstern in the original production at Glyndebourne, whose tweet praising Allan Clayton brought the Telegraph interview to my attention. (No indication whether Lowrey will also be cast in the American revival.)
[Details TBA] A future appearance at the Opéra national de Paris is mentioned in the current bio that can be downloaded from Dame Sarah’s page on the Askonas Holt website (click “Publicity Pack”). I cannot find her name mentioned anywhere in the 2018-2019 season, so I suppose we must wait until at least the fall of 2019 if not later.
Previous versions of this list can be found under the schedule tag on this blog. This list published July 24, 2018. Edited July 26 to add the broadcast link for the BBC Proms recital. Edited July 28 to add the US revival of Hamlet. Edited August 5 to add the Catalunya Música live broadcast of the concert from Vilabertran. Edited August 8 to add the two Three Choirs Festival concerts in Gloucester. Edited August 9 to reflect Dame Sarah’s withdrawal from the Met Götterdämmerung. Edited August 16 to remove the (nonexistent, as it turns out) Catalunya Música live broadcast of the concert from Vilabertran, with apologies for the error, and to update the list of locations where the ROH Walküre live cinema telecasts may be seen. Edited August 22 to add the Paris Des Knaben Wunderhorn and Glagolitic Mass. Edited August 29 to add Dame Sarah’s appearance at the Glyndebourne Tour special event in December. I may continue to edit this list as I receive new information.

Faye Wong quietly wrote the single "Dust", ethereal voice is enchanting (2016)
Faye Wong, who has faded out of the entertainment industry, has not released an album for a long time. She has only been heard through movie theme songs. She also has not held a concert for 4 years but will be back in Shanghai on December 30th to hold a concert: "FAYE’S MOMENTS LIVE 2016". Because there is only one show, the prices are up to 7800 yuan, the cheapest is 1800 yuan. Faye Wong wore a CELINE 2017 spring collection dress on September 9th while attending the press conference. She gave a shout out to fans who could not grab tickets and said that the concert will cooperate with Tencent Video and livestream online. She said that this is not a farewell concert, but just wanted to try a livestream. In addition, she also clarified that her daughter [Leah] Dou Jing Tong will not sing with her. After the announcement of the comeback concert, Faye Wong also appeared at Paris Fashion Week, becoming the focus of a media chase at the CELINE show.
As for the concert's setlist, Faye Wong said that she would sing more than 20 songs. In addition to the songs that have never been sung in previous concerts, she will also satisfy fans by singing the songs they want to hear.
A few days ago, Faye Wong quietly released the single "Dust", which was written by the heavenly queen herself, Zhang Yadong composed the music.
SOURCE: VOGUE TAIWAN // TRANSLATED BY: FAYE WONG FUZAO
------------------------------------------------------------------
Faye Wong's new song "Dust" reveals her inner world and attitude towards life
How old are the people who listen to Faye Wong? I asked a lot of people around me. Those born in the 90s said that they were familiar with her songs, but their feelings were not as deep as artists such as Mayday or Sodagreen. Those who were born in the 70s and 80s could not contain their tears. However, many born in the 90s are very fond of her daughter [Leah] Dou Jing Tong.
This is really an interesting phenomenon. Faye Wong fading out of the music scene after 2004 is indeed the main reason why young people do not have a deep affection for her. Although her personal life occupies the pages of entertainment news from time to time, only a handful of new songs means everyone must listen to her old songs to satisfy their craving. In recent years, Faye Wong mainly sang theme songs for movies and achieved success. She didn’t completely lose contact with the current music scene.
Recently, Faye Wong quietly released a new song. The title of the song reveals her inner voice for the past decade: "Dust”. The lyrics are self-written and naturally have intriguing phrases.
"Dust drifts with the wind. The wind stops blowing. It falls on the fragrant flower. It blows up but will descend. Inhale, exhale. It’s pointless. The direction doesn’t matter.”
These lyrics will bring to mind the immortal-like appearance of Faye Wong when listeners hear it. For a more specific image, please refer to the 1994 "Pledge" music video: A person walking on the road in no specific direction. The eyes are blurred and out of focus, not stopping for the scenery, nor obstructed by the hustle and bustle. The difference is that Faye Wong in 1994 was young and rebellious, Faye Wong in 2016 is sober and alienated.
"Dust" is a collaboration with old partner Zhang Yadong. Faye Wong wrote the lyrics and Zhang Yadong composed the music. The cover of the single is also a random selfie of Faye Wong. There was no pre-announcement or publicity. This has been her low-key style for many years. Zhang Yadong once said that Faye Wong "has never discussed any art topic seriously, but her instincts are always on point. She sings and records no matter what style”. I thought of discussing whether this song is trip-hop or religious, but I just want to appreciate what is most important to Faye Wong after experiencing ups and downs.
"For a period of time, I only looked in the dark. We once shined on diamonds. This is the life of a speck of dust in this world.”
If lyrics carry some explanation and foreshadowing, then this sentence is the most straightforward of Faye Wong's inner world and attitude towards life.
Therefore, young fans will respond to "Dust" in a simple way. Simply speaking, there is no resonance. How many people in their 20s will see through an entire arrogant life? Those who feel that the words are beautiful are all people who have experienced life. In the song, you can hear the years pass by, as if you can hear the thoughts of life.
I can’t help but say a few words about Dou Jingtong. She’s not copying Faye Wong’s music path, but her music talents and feeling have captured the hearts of many people. I can’t help but feel that the cycle of time is really amazing. Faye Wong, who cut her hair super short more than 20 years ago, influenced the style of a legion of young girls. Now Dou Jing Tong is singing her own songs with a handsome neutral image, attracting countless fans.

7th December 2017
We were up at the crack of dawn, which is quite literally around 0500.
The sun was so hot already we were sweating like we'd done a marathon. We both thought that a shower wouldn't go a miss but it wasn't an option. I didn't want to make the family feel awkward either, let alone myself.
We sat in the sun eating our breakfast. Suddenly the chickens woke up. We didn't know that we were sleeping close by to a chicken home but we quickly found out. They were so loud and there must've been loads of then. It was obviously their breakfast time and they were 'patiently' waiting!
A woman walked down towards us and the chickens, she went over to feed them to shut them up, or so that's what I would do. She came over to us and introduced herself as Helen. It was strange as we never saw her last night and she was middle aged woman. We thought the lady laying on the sofa was Helen. We got that wrong. It must've been her mother.
Helen said that we were welcome to stay as long as we liked, we didn't have a check out time or anything. She was actually very lovely and made us feel a load better about being in her property. If only we met her last night, we may not have had to wee on her grass. We even went in the middle of the night too... Sorry Helen.
She told us about a beautiful hike up the mountain near by that we would probably love to do. We said we'd give it a go and that we would be leaving soon to do so. It was only 0800 and I needed to put sun cream on. She advised doing the hike before it got too hot.
We got ourselves up and dressed (in the van). We left pretty pronto but we weren't going to do the hike. It was far too hot already, plus it would eat into one of our days in Brisbane City!
We had an hours drive and we needed to check into a new holiday park. First thing on the agenda: SHOWER.
I done the driving into Brisbane which wasn't too bad. We're both nervous when it comes to driving in Australian cities because they're strange. They have hook turns and odd lanes that disappear into thin air. Sometimes you can turn right when there's no traffic lights but sometimes there are! It's all very up in the air. We don't understand it.
We pulled up at our new caravan park – Ashgrove, around 1030. The lady behind the counter was wearing a 'Hippie' T-Shirt which was the brand of our camper van. She checked us in and we were on our way. She explained how best to get into the city, which is by bus. She helped with what bus we would need and circled out the things to see on a map.
We parked in our spot and pretty much ran to the showers. If we were in a cartoon programme, you would see green lines all around us. We stank. I guess that's the life of camper van.
We were ready to face the day by 1130. We locked the van up and left for the city centre! Steve and I have not been in a big city since Melbourne so we were so excited to be in civilisation again.
We walked the 10 minutes to the bus stop. A few busses came by but not the one we needed. We probably could've jumped on, but we were going with what the lady said at the desk. We needed the 425 which turned up shortly after. We both bought a zone 1 ticket for $4.60 each (day light robbery). It was 5 stops.
We were shocked at how much Brisbane loves their bus transport. They basically have an under ground world that runs just for them. It was so strange. The majority of bus stations were underground, too. We were baffled. It was just a bus but we daren't say that out loud, Brisbane people may find that offensive.
We got off the bus at Southbank. This is where the majority of 'stuff' is. We walked across a bridge and it showed fabulous views of the city. I just love the skyscrapers. I took some photos and we continued walking.
We came across The Wheel of Brisbane. We decided to go on it as I have never been on the London Eye before. We would get great views of the city too. I was like a child. The tickets were $20 each which I thought was a bit expensive so I checked out Groupon, as I do. As if by magic, there they were. Tickets for two people - $23. What a bargain! We're getting one adult for free, almost. We had loads of money on our Groupon account (thank you Steve) so we just bought them with one click.
We got onto the wheel straight away, there was no queue.
It had such amazing views. Steve said that the London Eye goes so much slower and that it takes about 45 minutes to get the whole way around. This one went round in about 3 minutes and we kept going for 12 minutes. The staff give you a map with numbers and places marked on it. There's a speaker inside which tells you about each place and you can spot it as you go around. Quite informative really. A good job we went on it first. We were able to see where we were headed next.
After the inner child in me was over the wheel, we walked down the jungle like board walk towards the lagoon. Mel lived in Brisbane for the last month or so of her trip. She arrived home in the UK two days. She said that Brisbane was her favourite city and Mel loved Melbourne. We talk every day still and she text me to say, “How long do I leave it before I see you when you're home? One day?”. She makes me laugh so much. Is it weird to click with someone so well, in the first time of meeting them? I know we'll be great friends for a very long time.
Anyway, back to Brisbane.
The lagoon was really nice, better than Cairns. It wasn't better than Airlie beaches lagoon but I don't think anywhere in Australia will have a better lagoon than Airlie.
The lagoon was made up of two sides – pool water and 'sea' water. I'm not sure whether it was salt water but it had sand all around the edge and as the floor. Steve and I are going to spend the day here tomorrow and we pick the pool side, he hates getting sand everywhere.
We walked around the area of Southbank and loved every minute of it. We found a cash point for the first time in 5 months for our banks so we got money out. Australia charges you if you don't get money out of your own banks hole in the wall. They love to charge you for everything here!
After walking about, we decided to go over to North Quay. This is where all the big buildings are and most importantly, the shopping! We had to get a ferry over which was brilliant. They had a ferry system to take you up and down the river so that you can get to different parts of the city. You can walk and get the bus but it's fairly large and why wouldn't you just jump on the ferry?!
We could get the ferry because it's included in our bus ticket, but we couldn't be outside of our two hour time frame. The tickets expire which is weird.
We had no idea what ferry we were getting on but we went for the first one to turn up. Luckily, we were right. North Quay was the first stop so we were on and off within moments.
We walked off the ferry and up two flights of stairs (I picked these over the lift and Steve was horrified). We were in the CBD (Central Business District). We've spent many months in the middle of these so we felt right at home. It was a lot worse mind you, being Christmas time. It was lunch time too and no Australian has home cooked lunches at work. They all literally go out for fast food. There's food courts in every street on every corner so why wouldn't you? I would get HUGE if I lived here in the CBD. When I worked at Momentum in Melbourne, Lena always went out to get food. On a few occasions, but not many, she managed to persuade me to come out. Persuade isn't the right word though, I love food so it was an easy decision.
We stopped in the middle of Queen Street. The local police force had a Christmas Concert going on and I was loving it. They had a band playing, mostly bagpipes and they had people dressed up. There were stalls all around with Crime Prevention stuff to take/sell. It was great. It made me miss work though. We watched them for a while, clapping and laughing along before Steve's stomach got the best of him. He was suddenly starving. Actually starving this time though. I know he's mentioned starvation before, but this time, he really means it.
We walked around trying to find somewhere to eat. We weren't short of anything – we had too many choices! I didn't really want to eat out because I'm so focused on saving money but we were both hungry and we didn't bring lunch.
We eventually found somewhere, had lunch and then we were on the move again.
We were in and out of shops, which was stupid really. We're both DESPERATE and I literally mean desperate to buy stuff for ourselves. We hate our clothes and with every right too. They're all stained and mouldy now. We've not really been able to go out and buy anything for ourselves for a whole year which is horrible to think about. We tortured ourselves and went into our favourite shop... Zara.
We said that we would save up for a year or so and then go on a mega shopping spree, just on ourselves. I need to lose weight before I shop for myself so it'll be another year before I can spoil myself but it'll be worth it. Steve wants to get straight back into football so he'll be losing weight too. I literally cannot tell you how bad we want to shop though. We're finding shops and things that we don't normally get and finding excuses as to why we need it! We're delusional.
We went into the big Myer centre to look for our cards. The Myer centre is like a Lakeside along the city street. Half is designer and half is your normal stores. We had been looking all day but we came across a toy shop and kept our fingers crossed. We went inside and found the card section... No Backpacker. We were so sad. If it wasn’t going to be here, in a city, it wasn’t going to be in Australia. We did, however, find Uno for $9.99 which is the cheapest we’ve seen it so far. We bought it and got over the fact that we would have to wait until we were home to find our beloved card game.
The guy on the counter said to try a different shop on level two. It was a store for card games, mind games and board games. There’s no harm in trying. We travelled to the store and went inside. It was packed. People must’ve been doing Christmas shopping on their work breaks! I saw Steve jump and I turned to look at him - WE FOUND IT!!!! It was being sold for $25 but we had to get it. We loved it so much when we played it at Fraser Island. We were both in utter shock. I’d never pay $25 for a pack of cards but these are fun.
(I’m bragging about these cards and when everyone at home plays them, you’re going to think we’re weirdos).
We went to celebrate and get a pint. Steve took us up to a very, VERY, posh roof top bar with a pool. As soon as we walked in, I told him no. We got the lift back down and searched for a pub. I wasn’t dressed for a posh bar let alone did we have the money for it. There were loads of corporate people there and I just felt awkward in my flip flops.
We found an Irish pub and enjoyed a jug of beer. Cheers! We had a game of cards and left to go home. We were so tired after being woke up with the sun. We enjoyed sitting there, as the sun was setting, cooking dinner. We are absolutely loving van life! We played numerous games of Backpacker before we watched an episode of I'm A Celebrity on the data which we probably shouldn't have. We then went to bed.
We couldn’t stop saying “I can’t believe we found it!”.

18 Free and Cheap Things to Do in Singapore

Updated: 2/27/2019 | February 27, 2019
Singapore is an expensive place to visit. There’s no way around it. The small city state is priced relative to the United States, which is a lot more expensive than its neighbors!
On a small stop-over trip, this isn’t a problem.
But on a big trip through the region, a trip into Singapore can elicit sticker shock, and it can turn people away if they’re trying to do the area on the cheap. If you still want to visit this country, though, there are still many ways to travel around Singapore on a budget.
Singapore has many free and cheap things to do when you vsiit that that will allow you to make the most of this big city!
Here’s a list of my favorite cheap and free things to do in Singapore!
1. Cool Off in the Underground Malls

The best places to cool off in this very hot city are the underground malls where the A/C’s cranking. You’ll be able to move around most of the city and never expose yourself to the heat and humidity. Since it gets cool at night, it can save you from having to pay extra for A/C at your hotel or hostel. Plus, you can spend your afternoon wandering underground Singapore without spending any money.
2. Eat Cheap Food in Little India

Singapore has some great food, but many of the restaurants are expensive. However, one of the best places to eat is the area of Little India, where great Indian meals cost as little as 5 SGD. Make sure you find the places where you can eat with your hands! They’re the most authentic and local places. You’ll probably be the only Westerner in there, though, so be prepared for people to stare. Eating at these places was still the most fun I had in Singapore.
Make sure you stop off at the Tekka Center, a hawker center with Indian clothing, groceries, and food. The food here is cheap and delcious and makes for an authentic Little India experience.
For a sit-down restaurant experience, head to Ananda Bhavan. It’s the country’s oldest vegetarian restaurant and is definitely worth a visit for some delicious Southern Indian cuisine. Even if you’re not a vegetarian you’ll still love it!
3. Eat Cheap Food in Chinatown

Another great place to eat cheap food is Chinatown. The dim sum here is great, most everything is in Chinese, the hawker food is also good, and there are a few cool temples here too. This is a wonderful place to not only eat but to also wander around. You’ll be able to cut down a lot of your food budget by sticking to the hawker stalls here and in Little India.
One of those food stalls is Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice and Noodle (aka Hawker Chan), the world’s most affordable Michelin-starred restaurant. You can order a world-class dish here for under $2 USD. Be sure to eat here! Get here early as the line gets extremely long!
Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice is another Michelin-starred hawker stall worth a visit if Hawker Chan’s is too busy. Like Hawker Chan’s, it’s located in the Maxwell Hawker Center.
In addition to exploring the Maxwell Hawker Center, you’ll want to also check out the Chinatown Complex Food Center and Chinatown Food Street. Those are the best places to find some of the cheapest and most delicious food in the city!
4. Eat Out for Lunch

If you’re looking for a nice place to sit down and eat, then the best time to eat at Singapore’s famed restaurants is during lunch when restaurants offer 20% off, making them a great deal. The set lunches will give you dinner food at a discount and allow you a bit more variety in what you’re eating. Make sure to check out the restaurants in the underground mall, where you’ll find even more lunch specials.
5. Walk Around the Gardens

The Botanic Gardens are free and are a nice place to walk around—especially in the mornings and evenings when Singapore’s tropical weather cools down a little. Early in the morning, locals practice t’ai chi on the lawn, and there are often free concerts on weekends.
6. Combine the Singapore Zoo and Night Safari

The Singapore Zoo is a must-see. It’s an open-air zoo, which is great because animals aren’t locked up in tiny cages. It’s actually one of the best zoos I’ve ever been to. They also offer a night tour in a different section of the park where you get to see the nocturnal animals. These activities aren’t very cheap, but if you combine them together, you’ll save a lot of money. It’s worth the price.
80 Mandai Lake Rd, +65 6269 3411, wrs.com.sg/en/singapore-zoo. Open daily from 8:30am-6pm. Admission to the zoo is 35 SGD for adults and 23 SGD for kids while the night safari is 47 SGD for adults and 31 SGD for kids. A combination ticket for the zoo and night safari is 68 SGD for adults and 48 SGD for kids.
7. Hit the Beach

If you need an escape from the busy metropolis, head to Sentosa Island. There, you can kick back and relax on the beach. There are actually 3 beaches to choose from here, depending on what you’re looking for. Siloso beach is where you’ll want to go for activities, Tanjong beach is a great spot to chill and enjoy a drink, and Palawan beach is where you’ll go if you’re traveling with kids. While you won’t be getting the beach experience you’d find in Thailand (there are tons of cargo ships in the water here!) it’s still a great place to escape for a day and soak up some rays.
8. See the Supertrees

Gardens by the Bay is a 250-acre nature park build on reclaimed land. It’s famous for its massive supertrees, 25-50m-tall vertical gardens that look like massive trees. The supertrees are home to all sorts of exotic plants and ferns and make for a stunning sight. While you have to pay to explore the conservatories, admission to the supertree garden is free.
9. Visit the National Museum of Singapore

While admission to the museum isn’t free, they do offer daily free tours which really makes a visit here worthwhile. This is the oldest museum in the country, having opened in 1849. The museum covers the history of the country, making it a great place to learn more about the country and how it came to be.
93 Stamford Road, +65 6332-3659, nationalmuseum.sg. Open daily from 10am-5pm. Admission is 15 SGD for adults and 10 SGD for students and seniors. Free tours are available at 11am and 2pm on weekdays and 11am, 1pm, 2pm, and 4pm on weekends.
10. Hike the MacRitchie Treetop Walk

The MacRitchie Trails cover over 11km of pathways around the largest reservoir in the country. It’s a place where the locals head for a run or a hike, and it’s a great place to get out and stretch your legs if you need to escape the city. Part of the trail includes a 250m aerial suspension bridge, which offers some nice views of the surrounding area. You can rent kayaks and canoes there, as well, and if you’re lucky you might spot one of the rare flying lemurs that call the park home!
MacRitchie Reservoir, +65 1800 471 7300, nparks.gov.sg. Open Tuesday-Friday from 9am-5pm and 8:30am-5pm on weekends. Admission is free.
11. See St Andrew’s Cathedral

This is the largest cathedral in the country, dating back to the 1850s. The cathedral was built in the Neo-Gothic style, and it was the first Anglican evangelical outreach in the country. The cathedral’s choir is actually the oldest musical institution in the country too. During WWII, it was used as a makeshift hospital until the Japanese invaded.
11 St Andrew’s Road, +65 6337-6104, cathedral.org.sg. Open from Monday-Saturday from 9am-5pm. Tours are free though they must be booked in advance.
12. Snap a Photo with a Merlion

The merlion is a mythical creature that has the head of a lion and the body of a fish. It’s the mascot of the country and often considered the personification of Singapore itself. There’s a statue of a merlion in Merlion Park (near the Central Business District) that you can check out and snap a photo with. (There are actually 5 official merlion statues around the city, though the 2 in Merlion Park are the most famous).
13. Go Stargazing

Science Centre Singapore offers free stargazing every Friday (weather permitting) between January and November. This is a really cool activity and makes for a great educational experience for adults and children alike. Just keep in mind that there is limited space, so be sure to arrive by 7:30pm to claim a spot.
15 Science Centre Road, +65 6425-2500, science.edu.sg. Stargazing is every Friday from 7:45pm-10pm. Check their website for the most up-to-date details.
14. Take a day trip to Chek Jawa

This wetland nature reserve is located on an island a short ferry ride away from the city. There’s a winding boardwalk you can explore as well as a large viewing tower you can climb to take in the panorama. Bicycles are available for rent outside the park as well, in case you don’t want to hike. The area was originally slated for redevelopment but the locals protested the decision and now it’s one of the last bastions of natural habitat in the area.
Pulau Ubin, +65 6542-4108, nparks.gov.sg. Open daily from 8:30am-6pm. Admission is free.
15. Explore the Singapore Art Museum

The museum is home to the world’s largest collection of modern Southeast Asian art. Modern art isn’t my favorite style, but there were plenty of insightful and imaginative pieces here to keep you entertained. They also have regular guided tours in English, which definitely makes a visit worthwhile. If you want to save money, be sure to visit on Friday evening when admission is free!
8 Queen St, +65 6589-9580, singaporeartmuseum.sg. Open Saturday-Thursday from 10am-7pm and Fridays from 10am-9pm. Admission is 10 SGD per person, though there is free entry on Fridays from 6pm-9pm.
16. Visit Haw Par Villa

Also known as Tiger Balm Gardens, this theme park contains over 1,000 statues from Chinese folklore and mythology. The most popular section of the park is a depiction of the Ten Courts of Hell, an exhibit that shows what hell is like in Chinese mythology. The park was recently updated and renovated and is worth taking a stroll through.
262 Pasir Panjang Rd, +65 6773 0103, hawparvilla.sg. Open daily from 9am-7pm. Admission is free.
17.Buddha Tooth Temple

Located in Chinatown, this Buddhist temple is also a museum that is home to a tooth of the original Buddha. The four-story building was built in the early 2000s though it imitates architecture from the Tang Dynasty of China. The museum is home to one of almost a dozen “tooth relics” in the world, and while its legitimacy can be debated it’s still a cool temple to visit and explore.
288 South Bridge Rd, +65 6220-0220, btrts.org.sg. Open daily from 9am-6:30pm. Admission is free.
18. Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve

This wetland is an ASEAN Heritage Park and another great place to escape the urban sprawl of Singapore. It was the first wetlands in Singapore to be made into a reserve due to its importance for migratory birds in Asia. There are dozens of bird species that call the park home, and there is also a family of otters you can spot playing in the water if you’re lucky!
301 Neo Tiew Cres, +65 6794-1401, nparks.gov.sg/sbwr. Open daily from 7am-7pm. Admission is free.

Is there such a thing as divorce insurance?
My parents are getting a divorce and, since it's California, the courts favor the female. Even though my mom and dad earn about the same money, my dad has to pay this huge amount to my mom for child support because she got more time with my younger brother. He's 12 and he told the mediator that he would rather live my dad full time, but the court gave my mom more time and made her the custodial parent. How old do you have to be to tell the court which parent you want to live with all the time? Also, just like there is medical insurance, has anyone ever heard of divorce insurance? It would kick in if you're ever stuck with child or spousal support. I haven't found anything on the internet yet.""

Car insurance question? Under parents name?
Hi all, I recently got my drivers license when I turned 17, and am now looking to buy a car. I'm looking at a Foxbody mustang 5.0. Before the omg 17 get a civic comments, I can drive, I seldom speed, and when I do, its on an empty road in the middle of the night. I have track experience and know how to control a car, don't try to convince me otherwise. Now, my problem. Obviously mustang insurance for a 17yr old will be nuts, but right now I'm on my parents insurance policy so I can drive their car(1 car family), and a friend of mine told me I could just insure my car under my dad's name and claim that I drive it occasionally. So I realize I could claim my father is the primary driver and I'm just an occasional driver, but if I am actually the only one who is driving it, and something does happen where I get into an accident or get a ticket, what could happen? Would I be covered in case of an accident? Can they say no and not cover me if they find out I'm the primary driver? I'd be the only person driving it whatsoever, my dad can't even drive a stick, so I'm wondering if this is even possible or not. Thanks.""
Renting an Apartment: Is this cost per month affordable for my budget?
The apartment's rent is $750 a month...I'm living with 2 other roommates, so we are dividing that cost three ways. We'll each owe $250 a month...plus electric ($35 - $50 a month), plus cable t.v. ($30 - $40 a month), plus WiFi internet ($30 - $40 a month). So all together, each of us will owe around $275 a month, roughly. I make $32,000 a year before taxes and health insurance...I make a $250 car payment per month, and car insurance is $1000 (+ or -) for 6 months. Can I add a motorcycle to my car insurance policy without them rechecking my points?
I want to buy a motorcycle and add it to my insurance but when I got insurance I only had 4 points. A few months ago I asked them if I could switch the car I drive now out for a different car and they said that was fine and that they would not recheck my points but would just give me a new, higher rate (since it was a better car) while only including the 4 points. So is it possible to just add a motorcycle to my existing policy while only continuing to pay for 4 points? Thank you very much. I'm roughly 14 weeks pregnant with no prenatal care or insurance. What are my options?
I'm assuming I'm around 14 maybe 15 weeks pregnant & I haven't had any prenatal care nor do I have health insurance. With my first pregnancy I qualified for Medicaid & left the HHS that day with it! This time they have been dragging me around since March, losing things, accidentally deleting files, denying me & then asking me to reapply. All of this over & over again, it's just been very unorganized & stressful. Not to mention I had a meltdown & told them that I NEEDED TO GO TO THE DOCTOR, so please let me know what to do! This was a month ago, they still say things are pending & I could expect to wait 30 more days. This is adding such a tremendous amount of stress to my pregnancy, I just want to see my baby. Are there any other insurance plans for pregnant women? I'm not married, but my fiance has a well paying job. Naturally though, I can't receive insurance through his job until we are officially married. We attempted to make an appointment & self pay, but during that one visit they demanded $600 up front, which we weren't prepared for. I refuse to go to a clinic simply because my last pregnancy was high risk & ended in an emergency C-Section & there were complications & I'm sure this one will be the same, since I ended up getting pregnant before the desired waiting time for a previous c-section. Not to mention, my OB/GYN has been my doctor since I was 13 & he is truly the best where I live. I just wouldn't be able to trust someone else. I live in Texas by the way. What can I do about uninsured motorist?
I was driving at a green light and the person made a left turn into me without a turning signal. I swerved right to avoid them, but we still crashed. A car then hit me from behind because of it. Their car has no damage, but I'm pretty sure my car and car 1 is totaled. I'm worried because car 1 might not have insurance. I have a dislocated thumb, that I need surgery on and won't be able to work for a while. My job won't give me short term disability. I have liability insurance in PA. Do I find car 1? I'm 17 years old, currently in high school, upcoming Senior, I have had my license for about 6 months with no accident, I usually have a A/B grade average in school. I want to purchase a 2006 Honda Civic Si, it's a 2 door coupe, with 197 horsepower. As of right now I am currently using a 2002 Honda Civic Coupe EX, I have someone that's going to buy my car for around $5,000, I'm going to use that as a down payment, the Si will be around $15,000 used, at a dealer, around $8,000 after I put $5,000 down, and the additional $2,000 I already have in my bank account. How much do you think I would be paying for insurance on this car? Additional questions: - Do I have to have full coverage? - How do I quote full coverage on a insurance site? - Which insurance company would be better for me? Additional information: I live in California. 17 years old. Held license for a little more then 6 months. Better than B average. I have a part time job outside of school, my parents will provide the loan, and I will be put under my parent's name, we own 3 cars in all (mom, dad, and me)""

Have you ever heard of a Car Insurance doing this?
Have you ever heard of this before: I know a person who has car insurance with Allstate and they claim the following reason for jacking up their prices every 6 months when you pay the bill for the next 6 months. The Reasons from them are: 1-Because since you have allstate and when anyone else that has allstate also in your area has an accident where them and someone else is involved this will make your payment go up. 2-All insurance companies do this also where if anyone not involved in an accident say at home and someone else with the same insurance company as you have, if they have an accident even if your at home when this happens your payments will go up. My Father has had direct for i don't know how long but a long time and every time someone has a wreck that has direct and he is not involved in it he still pays the same amount he did last time before the other direct insurance people have a wreck. Please also provide the name of your insurance company as I want to make a chart of how many people answered and what insurance company they currently have or had. Thank you I'd greatly appreciate the insurance info that's all I would like for the chart not your name.""

Faye Back For Shows (2010)
Beijing - After an absence of five years from show business singer Faye Wong’s return to the media spotlight on Monday was greeted with enthusiastic applause and yells of her name.
Never mind that the Ice Queen reportedly stayed for only 10 minutes and uttered just three sentences.
At her Beijing press confrence to launch her comeback concerts, she had also kept a crowd of some 300 journalists waiting for 40 minutes.
“Hello, I hope you’re well, and welcome,” the singer said when she arrived, clad in an elegant English retro gown and jelly sandals.
The emcee asked if she had tips for securing tickets to her 10 solo concerts, to be held in October and November in Beijing and in November in Shanghai.
The dearest and cheapest tickets at 2,500 yaun (S$509) and 300 yaun, for the Beijing shows, reportedly sold out when they went on sale on July 9.
“What tips? I don’t’ know. I have no tips,” Wong, 40, replied seemingly flustered, according to Singtao Daily.
At the press conference, the organizer also said about 18.88 million yuan worth of the tickets were sold in 10 days, making Wong mainland China’s record holder for the most pre-sales concert ticket booking ever made.
Half smiling, Wong led a champagne-pouring ceremony to mark the achievement, and asked the emcee: “18.88 million? Is that accurate?”
The emcee clarified the figure was used for auspicious reasons and that more tickets were actually sold.
After posing for pictures, the singer was on her way.

Never mind that the Ice Queen reportedly stayed for only 10 minutes and uttered just three sentences.
At her Beijing press conference to launch her comeback concerts, she had also kept a crowd of some 300 journalists waiting for 40 minutes. I’ll be back: Wong at the news conference on Monday, prior to her comeback concerts in Beijing later this year.
The dearest and cheapest tickets at 2,500 yuan (RM1,170) and 300 yuan (RM140) for the Beijing shows reportedly sold out when they went on sale on July 9.
“What tips? I don’t know. I have no tips,” Wong, 40, replied, seemingly flustered, according to Hong Kong’s Singtao Daily.
At the press conference, the organisers also said about 18.88 million yuan (RM8.8mil) worth of the tickets were sold in 10 days, making Wong mainland China’s record-holder for the most pre-sales concert ticket bookings ever made.
Half smiling, Wong led a champagne-pouring ceremony to mark the achievement, and asked the emcee: “18.88 million. Is that accurate?”
