The Importance of a Cloud Strategy Partner for Modern Business Success
As cloud computing continues to reshape how businesses operate, grow, and compete, the question is no longer if organizations should move to the cloud—but how. While the cloud offers unparalleled agility, scalability, and innovation, navigating this transition can be complex. This is where a Cloud Strategy Partner becomes an essential asset.
Tumblr media
A Cloud Strategy Partner is more than just a service provider—they are a trusted advisor, guiding organizations in developing and implementing a comprehensive cloud roadmap. From choosing the right platforms to optimizing operations and ensuring robust security, the right partner supports you throughout the entire process.
What is a Cloud Strategy Partner?
A Cloud Strategy Partner is a specialized consultant or organization that assists businesses in planning, executing, and refining their cloud journey. Unlike one-time cloud service providers, these partners focus on aligning cloud adoption with overarching business objectives. Their expertise extends beyond technology, emphasizing the integration of business goals, operational efficiency, and digital transformation.
Such partners collaborate closely with internal teams to assess needs, identify opportunities, design scalable architectures, and ensure compliance, security, and performance standards are upheld. Whether your organization is embarking on its first cloud adoption or seeking to optimize an existing environment, a Cloud Strategy Partner provides clarity, structure, and confidence throughout the process.
Key Benefits of Partnering with a Cloud Strategy Expert
1. Customized Cloud Strategies
Organizations have unique needs, and a one-size-fits-all approach to cloud adoption is ineffective. A cloud strategy partner crafts tailored migration and modernization plans aligned with your goals, industry, size, and existing infrastructure.
2. Deep Platform Expertise
Whether it’s AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or hybrid solutions, a cloud strategy expert brings in-depth, platform-specific knowledge to help you select the most suitable tools and technologies for your organization.
3. Cost Efficiency
Uncontrolled cloud spending is a common challenge without proper oversight. Cloud strategy partners optimize your costs by analyzing usage patterns, right-sizing resources, and eliminating inefficiencies to ensure financial sustainability.
4. Risk Mitigation and Compliance
Security and compliance remain critical concerns in the cloud journey. A strategic partner implements robust governance frameworks, data protection protocols, and ensures compliance with industry-specific regulatory requirements.
5. Faster Innovation
With a clear strategy and expert execution, your organization can quickly deploy new services, enter emerging markets, and foster innovation without being constrained by traditional IT limitations.
6. Change Management and Enablement
Effective cloud adoption requires cultural and operational transformation. Cloud strategy partners manage this transition by training teams, fostering a cloud-first mindset, and ensuring smooth organizational enablement.
Key Criteria for Choosing a Cloud Strategy Partner
Selecting the right cloud strategy partner is vital for the success of your cloud transformation. Consider the following:
Proven Expertise: Choose a partner with an established track record and strong client references.
Certifications and Partnerships: Ensure they hold certifications and partnerships with leading cloud providers.
Strategic Insight: The partner should prioritize understanding your business objectives, not just your technology.
Comprehensive Services: Opt for partners offering end-to-end support, from planning to ongoing management.
Focus on Outcomes: Look for a partner who measures success based on business value delivered, not just technical metrics like uptime or migration speed.
Conclusion
A Cloud Strategy Partner serves not just as a consultant but as a key driver of transformation. With the right partner, organizations can navigate the complexities of the cloud, mitigate risks, and leverage technology as a strategic advantage.
In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, establishing a strategic cloud partnership is no longer optional—it is a critical necessity.

Leveraging Service Cloud for Subscription-Based Businesses
In the ever-evolving landscape of subscription-based businesses, maintaining robust customer relationships is paramount. With the advent of sophisticated Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools like Salesforce, companies have a powerful ally in managing their subscriptions and customer interactions. Leveraging Salesforce Service Cloud can be a game-changer for such businesses, but it requires a strategic approach to implementation and migration of Salesforce org. In this article, we delve into the nuances of Salesforce org migration, implementation strategies, and the pivotal role of Service Cloud in enhancing customer service for subscription-based models.
Understanding Salesforce Org Migration:
Salesforce org migration is the process of moving data, customizations, and configurations from one Salesforce environment to another. For subscription-based businesses, migrating to Salesforce can centralize customer data, streamline processes, and provide a unified view of customer interactions. However, successful migration requires careful planning and execution.
Key Steps in Salesforce Org Migration:
Assessment and Planning: Conduct a thorough assessment of current systems, data structures, and business processes. Identify objectives, stakeholders, and key metrics for success. Develop a comprehensive migration plan detailing timelines, resources, and potential challenges.
Data Migration: Cleanse and organize data to ensure accuracy and consistency. Utilize tools and methodologies for seamless data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) into the new Salesforce org. Verify data integrity through rigorous testing and validation.
Customization and Configuration: Tailor Salesforce to meet the specific needs of subscription-based business models. Customize fields, objects, and workflows to align with sales, marketing, and customer service processes. Leverage Salesforce framework to create a scalable and flexible architecture.
Integration: Integrate Salesforce with other business systems such as billing platforms, marketing automation tools, and support portals. Enable data synchronization and real-time communication to ensure a seamless flow of information across the organization.
User Training and Adoption: Provide comprehensive training and support to users on navigating the new Salesforce environment. Foster a culture of adoption and continuous learning to maximize the benefits of Salesforce implementation.
Crafting a Salesforce Org Strategy:
A well-defined Salesforce org strategy is essential for driving business growth and innovation. It involves aligning Salesforce capabilities with organizational goals, industry best practices, and customer expectations.
Components of a Salesforce Org Strategy:
Goal Alignment: Define clear objectives for Salesforce implementation, such as improving customer retention, increasing sales efficiency, or enhancing service quality. Ensure alignment with broader business goals and KPIs.
Customization vs. Configuration: Strike a balance between customization and configuration to meet specific business requirements while minimizing complexity and maintenance overhead. Leverage out-of-the-box features and Salesforce AppExchange solutions where possible.
Scalability and Flexibility: Design Salesforce org with scalability and flexibility in mind to accommodate future growth and evolving business needs. Adopt modular architecture and standardized processes to facilitate easy expansion and adaptation.
Data Governance and Security: Implement robust data governance policies and security measures to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Define roles, permissions, and data access controls to maintain data integrity and confidentiality.
Continuous Improvement: Establish mechanisms for gathering user feedback, monitoring system performance, and identifying areas for optimization. Embrace a culture of continuous improvement and innovation to drive ongoing value from Salesforce investment.
Leveraging Salesforce Service Cloud for Subscription-Based Businesses:
Salesforce Service Cloud is a powerful platform for delivering exceptional customer service and support experiences. It enables subscription-based businesses to engage with customers across multiple channels, resolve issues efficiently, and build long-lasting relationships.
Key Features and Benefits of Salesforce Service Cloud:
Omni-Channel Support: Seamlessly manage customer inquiries across various channels such as email, phone, chat, social media, and self-service portals. Route cases intelligently based on agent availability, skills, and priority.
Case Management: Streamline case resolution workflows with automated assignment, escalation, and tracking capabilities. Leverage AI-powered tools like Einstein Bots and Case Classification to enhance productivity and accuracy.
Knowledge Base: Empower customers and agents with self-service access to a centralized knowledge base containing FAQs, troubleshooting guides, and product documentation. Reduce support costs and response times while improving customer satisfaction.
Service Analytics: Gain actionable insights into service performance, customer satisfaction levels, and emerging trends through customizable reports and dashboards. Identify areas for improvement and proactively address customer needs.
Integration with Sales and Marketing: Foster seamless collaboration between service, sales, and marketing teams by integrating Service Cloud with Salesforce Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud. Enable a 360-degree view of customer interactions and preferences.
Choosing the Right Salesforce Implementation Partners:
Selecting the right Salesforce implementation partner is crucial for the success of subscription-based businesses. Consider factors such as expertise, industry experience, cultural fit, and post-implementation support capabilities.
Key Criteria for Evaluating Salesforce Implementation Partners:
Certifications and Expertise: Look for partners with certified Salesforce consultants and developers who possess deep domain knowledge and hands-on experience in implementing Service Cloud for subscription-based businesses.
Industry Experience: Seek partners with a proven track record of success in your industry vertical, particularly within the subscription economy. They should understand the unique challenges and requirements of subscription-based business models.
Client References and Case Studies: Request client references and case studies to assess the partner's past performance, customer satisfaction levels, and business impact delivered. Speak directly with references to gather insights into the partner's strengths and capabilities.
Collaboration and Communication: Evaluate the partner's communication style, responsiveness, and willingness to collaborate closely with your internal teams throughout the implementation process. Clear and transparent communication is essential for project success.
Post-Implementation Support: Ensure that the partner offers comprehensive post-implementation support services, including training, maintenance, and ongoing optimization. A proactive support approach can help maximize the long-term value of Salesforce investment.
In conclusion, leveraging Salesforce Service Cloud for subscription-based businesses requires a strategic approach to Salesforce org migration and implementation. By following best practices in assessment, planning, customization, and adoption, companies can unlock the full potential of Salesforce to drive customer satisfaction, loyalty, and business growth. Choosing the right Salesforce implementation partner is equally critical for ensuring a smooth and successful implementation journey. With Salesforce Service Cloud as a cornerstone of their customer service strategy, subscription-based businesses can differentiate themselves in a competitive market landscape and deliver exceptional value to their customers.

Whenever Simon spares you a glance to remind himself that this new and strange arrangement is real, he finds you staring right back at him somehow.
Always making eye contact; holding his unwavering gaze with a silent expectation that makes his chest feel tight and his brain go numb, grappling for answers. Multiple times he's caught himself biting the tip of his tongue harshly to refrain himself from barking “What?” at you, demanding an answer in exchange for his cluelessness: What do you want from me?
He's building a mountain of expectations in his mind involuntarily while lacking the gear and a strategy in how to climb it properly. It's too high, and he knows he can never reach the top unscathed.
How can he possibly take care of you if he can barely take care of himself outside of what is required of him? He keeps himself fit, alive, able to function, always ready to follow an order and go in for the kill. That’s what he knows, what he’s comfortable with, but this?
Simon doesn't play house, doesn't know how to handle something so... domestic and delicate. He never experienced it growing up, never witnessed normalcy. If he would care about such things now, he’d have a wife or something akin to one, but he doesn’t–never even had a partner before, never bothered to believe himself fit for dating, for letting someone in like this.
Even the soft clothes you're wearing make him recoil; pastel colours having the opposite effect of red to a bull–so odd and out of place to him, and he knows the callouses on his fingers would simply catch on the fabric if he were ever to reach out to you for whatever reason, like a sheep’s fine wool catching on a thorn brush, scratching and tearing.
“What would you like for dinner?”
Simon blinks twice, thrice, before the question comes through his thick skull, vision slowly clearing despite him having stared at you for the past minutes while you were sitting on his couch patiently the whole time, eager as ever now that he willingly took you back to his flat again.
Why did you even sign the handlership without knowing him at all beforehand? Are you really that oblivious? That naïve? Or did the brass coax you into signing it?
“Simon?”
The way you keep saying his name so casually, makes his chest ache, makes him inhale sharply each time. What would he like for dinner? It should be such a simple question, but it seems like a puzzle to him–a thousand pieces, all in the same bloody colour.
“Why? Ya offering to cook for me, lass?” He snorts humourlessly. It's ridiculous. No one cooks for him unless he goes to the mess hall to get some grub.
“Of course, I'd love to!” You answer immediately, flashing a genuine smile. His eyes flicker to your tail when it starts to wag again and he curls his lips under his mask. Isn't he supposed to take care of you? What even is this bloody handlership? His brows draw together quizzically, making that deep crease reappear between them. Perhaps he should’ve read it before putting his signature on the damn paper.
Then he sighs in resignation. “Do whatever you want, just stay out of my room,” he replies and makes a half-hearted gesture towards the kitchen. “Not sure wha’s in the fridge. Been a few days since I went to the store,” he admits begrudgingly, kissing his teeth in annoyance when his stomach grumbles.
“Well then,” you say tentatively, tail stilling on the couch, “–why don't we go shopping for groceries?”
Tumblr media
It’s already late afternoon, when Simon pulls up to the parking lot in front of the local supermarket in town with a truck he borrowed, deciding it’s better for his own nerves to take you somewhere else but the stores they have on base.
He just can’t bring himself to keep you on a leash around his peers, to parade you around wearing a pink collar around your neck with his rank and military ID number stitched into its leather–a ‘gift’ from the bloody gift basket Price had delivered to his flat along with the initial shock of your presence.
And, by god, he wants to drop the leash and run in the other direction as soon as the automatic sliding doors swoosh open and his boots step foot into the store with you in tow–a red shopping basket clutched in his other hand.
What an absurd picture it must be to other shopgoers–a behemoth with a skull mask and cargo pants buying veggies and snacks with a gorgeous hybrid woman on a pink leash and matching collar. Kinky, he muses unintentionally and grits his teeth, cringing at his own stupid thought. It’s then and there Simon decides to murder Price next chance he gets.
“Mummy, look!” A toddler exclaims, pointing at you as he peeks his head into the produce aisle. Simon’s eyebrow raises beneath his mask as the little boy approaches shyly, his wide eyes fixated on you. Civilians, especially kids and women, usually avoid him like the plague whenever he’s out and about in public, looking like, well–himself.
“Hello there,” you coo at the toddler, crouching down to his level while Simon keeps as much distance as the leash allows him to, knowing better than to interfere. “Are you looking for your mama?” You ask attentively, ears twitching as you look past the boy, already searching for his parents.
The boy shakes his head with a big smile, rocking on his feet. “Nu-uh, she’s–”
“Noah!” The frantic voice of a woman calls out. “I told you to stay by–” Her eyes widen, steps faltering briefly as she catches sight of Simon, who has already anticipated the reaction, slumping his shoulders to try and make himself look smaller, less threatening.
“He’s okay,” you chime in swiftly, straightening up to be on eye-level with Noah’s mother. “We were about to help him look for you, madam,” you assure her, and the boy giggles when you ruffle his brown unruly curls briefly. “Isn’t that right, big man?”
The conversation fades into the background just like Simon’s whole presence seemingly does as you go on to hold a friendly and effortless conversation with the mother and her son. Meanwhile, Simon doesn’t quite remember the last time someone approached him so casually and jovially, and he gets lost in his own rotten mind with flashbacks of the past again–seeing the ghosts of Beth and Joseph in these strangers in front of him, and his heart is gripped by icy tendrils of grief and melancholy until your laugh breaks through the vision, pulling him back to reality at once.
“Oh, no worries! I’m sure it is strange to see someone like me in a quaint town like this,” you chuckle softly, giving a small wave with your hand while Simon’s pale lashes flutter as he tries to follow the conversation once more after what he’s missed. He notices how the toddler is giggling, petting and hugging your fluffy tail while you continue talking to his mum like it’s nothing unordinary. “But working for the military has brought me to the strangest places where hybrids are either a common occurrence or completely rare and more like a myth,” you explain patiently.
And the woman smiles coyly, already smitten with your charms. “Well, you certainly are a looker if I dare say so, miss.”
Once Alice, as she'd introduced herself, and Noah go about their own shopping, Simon catches the odd look on your face, something akin to sadness or longing hidden behind your smile, before you rapidly blink it away as a grumpy-looking elderly man approaches you, asking for help as if you'd know your way around while Simon groans internally, already despising all the attention.
You really do turn heads in a rather positive way if you manage to make the most grumpy old geezer smile in a heartbeat.
“You always this chipper?” He gruffs as he watches you add a pound of butter and coffee creamer to the overflowing basket, not that he'd care about that. You've been nothing but mindful of prices and proper nourishment while strolling through the aisles.
“Hm?” Simon snorts, in amusement this time. There's no way you didn't hear him; he saw your plush left ear swivel in his direction. “Ya heard me jus’ fine, lass.” He mutters, grabbing a box of his favourite biscuits as he walks past them and shoving them in between the other goodies, feeling like a child sneaking candy into their parent's shopping cart.
“Oh, yeah,” you chuckle, keeping your eyes trained on the shelves with different brands of toast before grabbing a packaged loaf. “I guess I am.” Then you stop, glancing up at him over your shoulder, and Simon nearly bumps into you. “You don't like people coming up to us to chat?”
Simon's brows furrow. Us? “They wanna talk you, not me. 'm basically–” He shrugs, making a vague gesture at himself as the leash clinks in his hand.
“A Ghost?” You quip, beaming at your little joke while your tail swishes proudly.
“Right,” Simon huffs quietly. “Smooth.”
He's rather thankful for his balaclava as he continues trotting after you through the store, hiding the tiniest crack of a smile underneath the black cloth.
Tumblr media
There’s a match on the telly, an ice cold bottle of his favourite ale on the coffee table on a coaster he didn’t even know he owned, though all Simon can really focus on is this bizarre situation he finds himself watching as you go about doing your own thing in his kitchen.
It’s almost mesmerizing, the way you rummage through the cupboards and drawers, taking out pots and bowls to your liking as if you own the place already, preparing a side salad while the steaks sizzle in the pan–all while you’re wearing that frilly, pale pink apron that you’d fetched from your suitcase earlier, the one that makes Simon wonder if one of your previous handlers is responsible for your peculiar wardrobe, or if pink simply happens to be your favourite colour.
He takes an absentminded sip of his drink when another thought pops into his head: What if you wear all of this hyper-feminine bollocks because people forced you to like it? What if they manipulated you into enjoying stuff to state their own perverted fantasies? Would you rather wear something else?
And Simon imagines it briefly–you wearing something cosy, perhaps one of his hoodies that would most likely swallow you whole. He takes another swing of ale and his nose wrinkles, though it’s not the bitterness making him squinch.
“Dinner is ready in five,” you croon suddenly, popping your head into the living room from the kitchen as the savoury aroma of steak and chips wafts through the flat, engulfing the usually sparse space like a warm, comforting blanket.
With a soft groan and a cracking knee, Simon gets up from his seat on the couch. The least he can do is set the table.

An installment of the Mirthroot Mini-Series
✹ ✶ 𖧷 ✶✹
As if she had sensed their arrival, Mor squeezed through your half-opened door and shut it swiftly behind her, wearing a sly smile that made Rhysand instantly still.
“Heyy, guys.”
Rhysand and Azriel exchanged a look before bringing their attention to the blonde in front of them once more, her body angled awkwardly to block the entirety of your doorway.
“Mor,” Rhys said, eyeing her with a scrutinizing gaze, “Why do you look so guilty?”
She held his gaze for a moment, her mouth falling open slightly as she blinked. Then, she casted a glance to her side before giving a small sheepish smile “Because I am?”
Rhysand’s eyes narrowed even more. “Is that a question or an admission?”
Mor’s smile widened as she gave a small shrug.
“Mor.”
Her eyes were brought to Azriel as he spoke, an expression on his face that mirrored that of Rhysands. His shadows hadn’t warned him of any imminent danger, hadn’t informed him of any threats. Yet Mor stood in front of him with a sense of suspicion he wasn’t able to read.
She remained quiet, opting to raise a brow at him instead.
“Morrigan.”
Mor's smile faltered. "I had no part in this. It was their idea, I swear," she admitted.
Rhys dipped his chin slightly. "Whose?"
"Y/n and Cass.”
Azriel had grown tired of the conversation, of the strange stalling Mor was attempting to do. The mention of your name snapped the last threat of his patience, and with a swift and determined movement, he brushed past Mor, his expression unreadable as he entered your home. Instantly, his shadows slithered along the walls and floors, guiding him unerringly toward you.
Mor trailed after him, her steps quickening. "Truly, I didn't realize how... well, you'll see," she called after Azriel, her voice echoing in the hallway.
It had been a long day. Azriel was looking forward to relaxing tonight, to spending time with his family in a way he hadn’t been able to recently, not when there had been so many concerns, so many threats to worry about.  Driven by his eagerness to see you, and a small growing fear that had nestled into his heart at Mor’s welcome, he paid little attention to the subtle noises drifting around him or the faint aroma that began to fill the air.
It didn’t properly hit him until he began opening the dainty glass doors to your living room.
As they swung open, Azriel was instantly hit by a powerful scent, his hand flying to his nose reflexively.  Earthy and woody, with a sharp edge that hinted at… skunk?
Azriel blinked.
He recognized this smell. It was one he knew deeply— one he hadn't encountered in what felt like centuries. Blinking rapidly, Azriel squinted to see through the dense cloud that enveloped the room, the air thick and difficult to breathe. With his vision obscured, he could barely make out the shapes on the ground before him. But quickly, through the haze, he discerned your and Cassian's forms, laying leisurely amidst the swirling smoke.
A smile tugged at his lips.
From behind him, Azriel heard the shuffling of Mor and Rhysand as they entered the room, a strong cough following their entrance.
Rhysand let out a whistle, walking to stand next to Azriel. “Damn.”
Despite the three new presences in your living room, neither you nor Cassian seemed to notice. The cloudiness of the room, now seemingly thicker than before, suggested to Azriel that you and Cassian were indeed on a completely different level than him and Rhysand– than Mor, as well, from what he could gather.
You laid on the ground, your hair messily sprawled over your soft rug, eyes closed in bliss, a gentle laughter escaping your lips. Azriel could make out the movements of Cassian’s frame beside you as he mirrored your laughter.
"It's been like this for hours. I thought it would wear off by now," Mor murmured.
Azriel turned his head to look at her, watching as she walked over to one of your bookshelves. She picked up a small container before turning around.
"I guess it's just... really strong?" Mor offered, her expression marked by furrowed brows and a hint of uncertainty. She offered the container towards Rhys with an extended hand.
Rhysand grabbed it gently, examining it before giving it a light squeeze, the top popping off with a small sound. He brought it to his nose. Instantly, he recoiled with yet another small cough.
“Gods, Mor. That is horribly potent.”
Azriel grabbed the container next, bringing it up to smell in the same manner his brother had. Faintly, he felt the cool slick of his shadows as they snaked up his body, a few around his arms, a few curling around his ears in curiosity, attempting to get a better look. The scent tickled his nostrils and he drew back, his shadows mirroring his movements as if the scent had, somehow, also hit them too. Azriel looked up through his brows, casting a quick glance over to where you laid.
“This has rootdust,” Azriel stated, holding up the container for emphasis. “Mor, this is basically all rootdust.”
Mirthroot was a tricky herb to work around. You and Azriel had your fair share of expertise, spending many of your younger years sneaking out into the mountains to smoke together. All of you dabbled, at some point,  with holidays spent at the cabin covered in smoke. You and Az had a habit of collecting as much rootdust as possible, a tradition of making the last smoke of the holiday the strongest one— a grand finish, you used to say. Azriel always loved it. But it had been years, and from what Az could tell, Mor wasn’t as skilled as she once was in recognizing the quality of what she was taking in.
“Oh,” Mor breathed out. “Well. I guess we got a really good deal then, huh?”
Rhysand let out an amused breath. “Are you telling me that Cassian and Y/n have been smoking the most highly concentrated part of mirthroot casually?”
“For hours?” Azriel added.
Mor sheepishly smiled once more, "Like I said– it was their idea," she responded, her tone laced with a hint of amusement.
With a thoughtful hum, Azriel turned away from Mor, his gaze now fixed on you. He made his way towards you, his shadows leaping forward eagerly, swirling around him like excited children. Within seconds, they reached your form, gently dancing around your body in movements that elicited soft giggles from your lips. Your eyes fluttered open slowly, curiosity flickering within them as you lifted your hands to watch the shadows playfully run along your hands.
Azriel watched as the realization dawned on you. With a sudden burst of energy, you sprang up from the ground, your eyes lighting up with excitement as you looked up at him. Cassian's head snapped back in surprise, his own grin widening as he caught sight of his brother.
"Az!" you exclaimed with a big grin, a sheer joy evident in your voice that made his heart flutter.
His gaze swept over the coffee table next to you, noting the scattered papers, remnants of ash, and the loose mirthroot nuggets. He let out a laugh at the array of snacks messily spread amongst the herbs, crumbs from what he could only assume were some sort of baked goods— cookies, his shadows informed him. Chocolate chip. He met your eyes again with a grin.
"Hi, gorgeous," he greeted warmly.
With a gentle ease, he made a move to sit down next to you, his movements accompanied by the subtle sound of his knees cracking in response. He lowered himself to your rug, leaning his back against the couch as you scrambled to reposition yourself, your movements slow and uncoordinated. Somehow you managed to settle yourself between his legs, pressing against his chest as he wrapped his arms around you. You craned your head to look up at him.
Azriel's gaze softened as he looked at your face, illuminated by a wide grin that stretched across your lips. Your eyes were narrowed and slightly puffy, a faint blush painted on your cheeks. Still gorgeous, Az thought, always so gorgeous. A shadow brushed over your cheek, moving to push back a stray strand of your hair.
Cassian’s voice disrupted the moment in a small whine. "Hey, what about me?"
In unison, both you and Azriel moved your heads to look at him, watching as Cassian’s eyes floated between you two. Just like you, Cassian’s eyelids were puffy and half-lidded as he held your stares.
Azriel let out a small snicker. "Hey,” he said.
“What?” Cassian's expression shifted into a frown. "Am I not gorgeous?"
You gasped in mock horror, your body pushing up with the force of the sound. "You are so gorgeous!" you exclaimed earnestly.
Cassian seemed content at the answer, a small smile gracing his face. His gaze then shifted to Azriel, and you followed suit, both of you staring at him with eager eyes. The sight itself was more amusing than anything Az had seen recently, two of the most feared members of the Night Court staring at him like two curious animals.
Azriel flicked his eyes between the two of you, a smile playing at the corners of his lips. With a laugh-sigh, he looked at his brother.  "You're so gorgeous," he affirmed, his voice carrying a hint of amusement.
Cassian's gaze lingered on Azriel as he continued. "So gorgeous. If I didn't have her," he gestured towards you, then waved his hand casually, "Nesta would have competition, brother. I mean—"
"Ah, suck a fat one, Az,” Cassian grumbled, pouting to himself as he leaned against the coffee table. “Can't take anything seriously."
Azriel grinned at the response, pulling you closer to his chest as you laughed, the sound caressing him with a familiar warmth. His gaze was pulled up as Mor and Rhysand approached the rug, both wearing amused smiles on their lips.
"We run late and you decide to have all the fun by yourself?" Rhysand teased, raising the container in his hand.
"Actually," Cassian responded, his voice carrying a hint of excitement, "Y/n and I were discussing some strategies."
Rhysand's amusement only seemed to grow at the comment.  "Strategies?"
Azriel felt your nod against him.
With a grin, Cassian leaned in closer, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. "For, you know, Koschei," he added, emphasizing the last word with a mischievous sloppy wink. Mor snorted at the sight, a laugh falling from her lips.
Rhys glanced between Mor and Azriel.  "And?"
Cassian's grin widened, "And we solved it."
Rhysand's gaze returned to Azriel, whose eyebrows lifted in surprise, the corners of his lips turned upwards. "You did?"
Cassian leaned back, with a confident nod. "Ohhh yeah. Tell 'em, Y/n," he prompted eagerly.
You shifted into a new position, leaning sideways against Azriel, as you moved your gaze between all of them. Even the movement of your head was slow, sluggish, and Azriel wondered just how well you were able to see all of them considering how closed your eyes were.
"Koschei is confined to the lake, right?"
The room went quiet as you continued to move your gaze between your family, silence falling upon the group as they waited for you to continue. When a beat passed, Azriel met your gaze, understanding dawning in his eyes as he realized you were seeking confirmation. "Right, yes," he responded with a nod, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips as you grinned at him.
"So,” you paused, the grin spreading across your face, "what if," you continued, your voice tinged with excitement, “we just drain the lake?"
You and Cassian exchanged a look.
“What’s he gonna go without a lake?” Cass emphasized, “Nothing.”
“Exactly. And we get free water. We could make a pool.”
Finishing your sentence with a sound of content, you looked between everyone in the room. Cassian nodded enthusiastically, as if your combined strategy was the strongest plan he’d come up with in centuries. And he was really excited about that damn pool.
There was a sleek silence as your words were processed.
And then Mor’s reaction came first.
"Oh my Gods," she exclaimed, laughter bubbling up as she covered her mouth in amusement.
Rhysand and Azriel exchanged a knowing glance before Rhysand let out a bellowing laugh, the sound echoing across the room as he ran his hand down his face.
"That is," he managed to say between laughs, “The best thing I’ve ever heard.”
Azriel looked down at you with a smile that threatened to split his cheeks, small chuckles reverberating through his chest.
You stared up at him, leaning your head closer to his. "Right?" you chimed in eagerly, seeking validation for your idea. “Right?’
He nodded, unable to resist leaning down to kiss your forehead tenderly. "Genius plan, my love," he praised softly.
"I know," you replied with a satisfied grin.
With another laugh, Mor walked to her cousin and grabbed the small container from his hand, eliciting a small eyebrow raise in response.
"For old times' sake," she declared with a grin. With a small groan, she settled down next to Cassian, nudging him to make room. She looked over her shoulder, "Maybe we can brainstorm how it was possible for you to accidentally send a love letter meant for Feyre to Cassian.”
Rhysand’s mouth dropped as he let out a small scoff.
"That happened once!"
“Wait,” Cassian frowned. "That wasn’t for me?"

First Moments: Kiss
Tumblr media
Pairing: Dean Winchester x Reader Summary: The first time Dean Winchester kisses you Word count: 861 A/N: I am debating on making this a series, covering different "Firsts" with Dean.. Any interest in that? Let me know!
The first time Dean Winchester kisses you, it happens in the least romantic place imaginable—an old gas station parking lot on the outskirts of nowhere. The sun is setting, casting an amber glow over the cracked asphalt and the Impala parked nearby, her paint gleaming like polished obsidian. The faint smell of gasoline mingles with the crisp scent of impending rain, a storm brewing in the distance.
It wasn’t planned. Nothing about Dean ever feels planned, really. He’s a mess of contradictions—cocky and self-assured one minute, guarded and vulnerable the next. You’ve been riding shotgun with him for weeks now, chasing down leads, salt-and-burning restless spirits, and fighting things most people wouldn’t dare to believe existed. Somewhere along the way, you became more than just hunting partners. You don’t know what to call it yet, but there’s a connection between you, an unspoken pull that you’ve both been too stubborn—or scared—to acknowledge.
Until now.
It starts with an argument. Of course it does. Dean has this way of pushing your buttons, and tonight he’s doing it with the precision of a master.
“You can’t just run in there without a plan!” you snap, your arms crossed over your chest.
“And what was your plan, huh?” he shoots back, his voice rising. “To stand around and wait until the ghost decides to play nice? That’s not how this works.”
“It’s called strategy, Dean. Maybe you should try it sometime instead of going full kamikaze every damn hunt!”
He scoffs, dragging a hand down his face in frustration. “You know what your problem is? You think too much. Sometimes you just gotta act.”
“And you think too little!” you retort, your eyes narrowing. “One of these days, your impulsiveness is going to get you killed.”
The words hang in the air, sharper than you intended, and for a moment, Dean just stares at you. His jaw tightens, and there’s a flicker of something in his eyes—hurt, maybe, or regret—but it’s gone before you can be sure.
“Fine,” he says, his voice quieter now. “If you’ve got it all figured out, why the hell do you even need me?”
It’s not the first time you’ve fought, but there’s something different about this one. The air between you feels charged, like the storm rolling in above. You don’t answer right away, and Dean takes a step closer, his boots crunching against the gravel.
“Why, huh?” he presses, his tone softer but no less intense. “Why do you keep sticking around if I’m such a screw-up?”
Your heart pounds against your ribs, a wild, erratic rhythm that matches the storm clouds overhead. You open your mouth to respond, but the words catch in your throat. Because it’s not that simple. Because you don’t stick around in spite of his flaws—you stick around because of them. Because Dean Winchester, for all his faults, is the kind of person who will throw himself in harm’s way without a second thought to save someone else. Because he’s loyal to a fault, fiercely protective, and has a smile that could light up the darkest corners of the world, even when he doesn’t believe it himself.
“Dean…” you start, but his name barely makes it past your lips before he moves.
It’s not hesitant or tentative—it’s sudden, like he’s been holding himself back for too long and finally snapped. His hands cup your face, rough and calloused but somehow gentle, and then his lips are on yours.
The kiss is everything you didn’t know you needed. It’s not perfect—Dean’s lips are a little chapped, and the angle is slightly awkward at first—but it’s real. There’s an urgency to it, a raw, unfiltered emotion that leaves you breathless. His hands are warm against your skin, grounding you even as the world seems to tilt on its axis.
You don’t know who moves first, but suddenly your hands are fisting in his jacket, pulling him closer as if the space between you is unbearable. He responds in kind, deepening the kiss with a low, almost involuntary sound that sends a shiver down your spine. It’s like the dam you’ve both been holding back has finally burst, and there’s no going back now.
When you finally break apart, you’re both breathing hard, your foreheads pressed together. The storm is closer now, the first drops of rain starting to fall, but neither of you seems to notice.
“Wow,” you murmur, your voice barely above a whisper.
Dean chuckles, a low, self-deprecating sound. “Yeah, uh… sorry about that. I probably should’ve—”
“Don’t,” you interrupt, your fingers still gripping his jacket. “Don’t apologize.”
His eyes meet yours, and for once, there’s no wall, no mask, no bravado. Just Dean.
“I’ve wanted to do that for a while,” he admits, his voice soft and almost vulnerable.
You smile, your heart swelling in your chest. “Took you long enough.”
He laughs, the sound warm and genuine, and the tension between you finally seems to ease. The rain starts to pick up, but neither of you moves. For once, the hunt can wait. For once, the only thing that matters is this moment—messy, imperfect, and absolutely perfect all at once.

Reader carrying a sleeping Jing Yuan to bed to tuck him in? :3c
“Rest, My General, the world can wait”
Summary: After a long day of managing the Xianzhou Luofu, Jing Yuan, the Arbiter-General, falls asleep at his desk. His partner finds him in this state and gently carries him to bed, tucking him in and offering comfort. In their quiet moments together, Jing Yuan allows himself to rest, content in the presence of his loved one.

Tumblr media
It had been a long day for both of you. The Xianzhou Luofu was bustling with activities as it always was, but tonight, the weight of the universe seemed a little heavier. For you, it had been just another long day of navigating through the intricacies of leadership under the watchful eyes of the Xianzhou Alliance. But for Jing Yuan, his role as the Arbiter-General and leader of the Cloud Knights took its toll. He had been up all day, overseeing military strategies, managing delicate negotiations, and ensuring the peace of the alliance remained intact. Yet, despite his reputation as the "Dozing General," his mind never truly rested.
When you found him, it was just as you had feared. He had fallen asleep at his desk, his head propped up by his hand, eyes closed in peaceful slumber, the calm expression on his face only highlighting how much he needed rest. His long hair cascaded over the desk, the red ribbon now loosened, and his attire—normally so pristine and authoritative—was slightly disheveled. The mole under his left eye glinted faintly in the warm glow of the desk light.
You smiled softly to yourself, your heart swelling with affection for the man you loved. Despite his intimidating title and position, Jing Yuan had always been the embodiment of gentle wisdom and careful restraint. But like everyone else, he too needed moments of respite, even if he didn't always acknowledge it.
You quietly approached him, bending down to gently shake his shoulder. His eyes fluttered open, the sharpness in them replaced by drowsy warmth.
“Hmm? [Name]…?” His voice was low, hoarse with exhaustion, but there was an unmistakable softness in it that made you feel at ease.
"You fell asleep at your desk again," you said with a teasing smile, your fingers brushing through his hair to untangle it from where it had become slightly knotted.
He chuckled softly, the sound rough but endearing. "I suppose I did. But it seems I'm far too stubborn to admit I need rest." His eyes were half-lidded as he leaned back into his chair, trying to stay awake for just a little longer.
"You don’t need to be stubborn when you have me." You grinned, gently lifting his face from his hand. "Come on, let’s get you to bed."
Jing Yuan didn’t protest. Instead, he allowed you to guide him, his tall frame leaning against you as you supported him. He was surprisingly light in your arms, despite his commanding presence. His head rested against your shoulder, and you could feel the slight weight of his exhaustion in his movements.
As you walked down the hallway toward your shared quarters, the gentle swaying of his body against yours was a comfort. Jing Yuan’s usual sharp composure was replaced with an almost childlike vulnerability as he allowed himself to be led. His eyes, normally so focused and calculating, now looked at you with nothing but trust.
“[Name],” he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper. “How do you always know what I need?”
You glanced up at him, a soft smile playing on your lips. “Because I know you better than you think. You’re not as good at hiding it as you like to believe.”
He smiled faintly, his lips curling at the corners in that rare, relaxed expression that only you were privy to. “I suppose you’ve earned that right.”
When you reached the bed, you carefully laid him down, pulling the covers over him with practiced ease. His body sank into the softness of the bed, and his eyes fluttered closed, the tension in his face slowly melting away.
You leaned down and brushed a lock of his hair back, letting your fingers linger on his soft skin. "Rest, Jing Yuan," you whispered. "You’ve earned it."
His voice came softly, almost lazily, as he turned his head to look at you. “Stay with me?”
You didn’t hesitate. You settled beside him, curling up against his side, your head resting on his chest. The rhythmic sound of his heartbeat was like a lullaby, soothing you as much as it soothed him.
“I’m not going anywhere,” you murmured, wrapping your arms around him, holding him close.
Jing Yuan’s hand gently stroked your hair, his fingers weaving through it with a tenderness that spoke of years of companionship and understanding. In the quiet of the room, with only the faint hum of the ship around you, you both finally found peace. In his arms, you knew that despite the weight of the universe that he carried, he would always have you to share the burden.
And in this moment, Jing Yuan allowed himself to simply be yours, content and at rest.

API Testing and Automation with Postman and Newman
In the digital age, APIs have become the backbone of many services we use daily. They allow different software systems to communicate and share data, making our lives easier. However, ensuring these APIs function correctly is crucial, which is where API testing comes into play.
This blog post will guide you through the world of API testing, focusing on two powerful tools: Postman and Newman. Postman is a popular platform for API development, offering a sleek user interface for constructing requests and reading responses. On the other hand, Newman allows you to run and test Postman collections directly from the command line.
Whether you’re a seasoned developer or just starting your journey in API testing, this post will provide valuable insights into automating your tests and improving the reliability of your APIs. So, let’s dive in and explore the exciting world of API testing and automation!
About the Tools
Postman and Newman are essential tools in API testing and automation. Postman, a GUI-based platform, is designed to make the process of creating, sending, and testing API requests straightforward and user-friendly. Its robust features and versatility have earned it widespread recognition, making it a preferred choice for developers and testers aiming to validate their APIs’ functionality and performance.
Newman, Postman’s command-line counterpart, enhances its automation and continuous integration capabilities. It enables developers to execute collections of API requests from the command line, facilitating the integration of API testing into the development workflow. Together, Postman and Newman provide a potent duo for expediting the testing and quality assurance of APIs, making them indispensable tools for developers.
Postman is a versatile and user-friendly tool that simplifies and enriches the API testing and development process. It offers several key features that make it an invaluable resource for developers and testers:
Creating and Sending Requests: Postman offers an intuitive interface for creating and sending API requests. It allows you to create requests with various HTTP methods, set headers, and include request parameters, simplifying API interactions.
Tumblr media
Managing Collections: Postman enables users to organize API requests into collections. These collections facilitate testing by grouping related requests, making it easier to manage and maintain a comprehensive test suite.
Tumblr media
Environment in Postman: In Postman, an environment is a set of variables and values that can be reused across multiple requests and collections. This feature is especially useful for managing different configurations, such as API endpoints, authentication tokens, or other variables, simplifying the process of working with various environments like development, testing, and production.
Tumblr media
Running Tests: Postman includes a robust testing framework that allows users to automatically validate API responses. It supports a variety of test scripts using JavaScript, enabling the verification of APIs’ correctness and reliability.
Tumblr media
Postman plays a crucial role in API testing. It simplifies the testing process by providing a visual interface for creating requests, automating test execution, and generating detailed test reports. This streamlines the quality assurance process and speeds up development, helping teams identify issues early in the development cycle.
In addition to these core features, Postman regularly updates its platform to meet developers’ evolving needs. Recent updates may include enhanced collaboration features, improved security integrations, and the introduction of new testing capabilities. Keeping up-to-date with these changes is vital, as it ensures that users have access to the most recent tools and capabilities for effective API testing and development.
Newman, a command-line collection runner for Postman, is engineered to execute Postman collections in a scriptable and automated fashion. It provides several advantages such as:
Automation: Newman enables the automated execution of Postman collections, allowing you to schedule and run your API tests without the need for manual intervention. It’s especially beneficial for regression testing, ensuring that your APIs continue to operate correctly after each code modification.
Integration with Continuous Integration (CI) Pipelines: Newman is an excellent choice for incorporating API tests into your CI/CD pipelines. It allows for the seamless integration of API testing into your automated build and deployment process, ensuring that code modifications do not introduce regressions or disrupt existing APIs.
Scaling Test Execution: Newman facilitates parallel execution of collections, which is crucial when handling a large number of tests. This feature allows you to save time and run tests more efficiently, making it ideal for testing APIs on a large scale.
To install and use Newman, follow these steps:
If you haven’t already, install Node.js on your system (Newman is a Node.js application).
Use npm (Node Package Manager) to globally install Newman with the following commands:
npm install -g newman
npm install -g newman-reporter-html
npm install -g newman-reporter-htmlextra
The command npm install -g newman-reporter-htmlextra installs the “newman-reporter-htmlextra” reporter for Newman. This reporter is an extension that generates HTML reports when running Postman collections with Newman.
Once installed, you can execute a Postman collection using Newman from the command line. For instance:
newman run my_collection.json -e my_environment.json --reporters=cli,htmlextra
Replace my_collection.json and my_environment.json with the path to your Postman collection file.
You can utilize various command-line options to customize the execution, including specifying environments, setting variables, and generating reports.
Newman streamlines the process of executing Postman collections outside of the Postman application, making it a potent tool for automated API testing and integration into your software development workflows. Here is an example of a report generated by Newman.
