i want to say first of all that i fully respect a community's/denomination's/culture's right to have closed practices. i am not entitled to other people's traditions, and when i am a guest in a space i understand that everything is not automatically for me. and i know i do not have to understand to respect.

and also! when i go to a catholic church and can't receive communion i want to fall on the floor weeping. what do you mean i can't have him he's right there. sorry my baptism was the wrong kind of baptism. i'm hungry and you want me to become someone else before being fed.

If I could ask for some prayers, that would be lovely—I just found out that my grandpa is in the hospital but I can’t go to see him because he lives four hours away and I don’t have the PTO or the income to ask off of work, and on top of that I got asked to play keyboard for the worship band at the last minute AGAIN and none of the songs are in their original keys, but I don’t read music very well, so I’m sitting here manually transposing each song note by note from the keyboard loops and I’m honestly so tempted to tell them I can’t do it and they need to play with tracks

Ooh that’s a good question… I know very little about robot girls, but I do know that nourishment is a key component of communion so I think it would have to be a power source. Like a wee battery? The watch batteries even look like little wafers

Currently watching Good Omens 2 and eating bread that was consecrated at Eucharist last week. (I didn’t like steal the bread, my priest gave it to me because it was leftover).

I checked with another priest who said technically I could eat this bread with jam or something, but it’s tricky because then I have to collect the crumbs and make sure they get eaten or returned to the earth. (I’ve never gotten leftover communion bread before so I don’t know the rules).

Somehow this feels like the perfect conundrum to be having while rewatching Good Omens 2
