Quote
The society of laboring and achievement is not a free society. It generates new constraints. Ultimately, the dialectic of master and slave does not yield a society where everyone is free and capable of leisure, too. Rather, it leads to a society of work in which the master himself has become a laboring slave. In this society of compulsion, everyone carries a work camp inside. This labor camp is defined by the fact that one is simultaneously prisoner and guard, victim and perpetrator. One exploits oneself. It means that exploitation is possible even without domination.

1.02 | Compulsion

although i’m pretty neutral with this episode, it’s definitely not bad and i can’t not admit that it’s an amazing progression from episode one
. love morgans advice for reid
. jjs outfit ?!?!? her hair ?!? i’m dying
. jj and elle !!,!,!, (infront of reid felt very intentional)
. love them using reid like he’s google
. super love elles fit very gorgeous on her silhouette and it quite (!!) reminds me of prentiss’s outfits in season 2
. love old morgan so much. he changed so much as the seasons go on :(
. elle and reid 😭 .
. gideon and his relationship with fire .. i miss when the show and its characters had its quirks
. to add on my other point, morgan used to be so sophisticated. he definitely just became the muscle in future seasons
. i can’t tell if mggs acting is so good that he portrays being awkward so well— or if hes just awkward
. jj and her pencil skirts! a staple in her (media liaison era) wardrobe
. definitely loving early morgan and garcia interactions. i saw someone say she works better in smaller portions and i honestly agree
. elle and morgan — definitely a lovely duo. this episode’s definitely setting the duos up (just now stupidly realizing)
. show’s somehow very advanced when it comes to homosexuality. although they do use very negative wording with drug users - i suppose two steps forward and one step back is still a step
. reid and his huge forehead 🤤
. early season cm definitely has weird cinematography .. but it somehow adds to the charm
. unsubs apartment seriously freaky as HELL. ocd? more like omg
. the fashion in this show is incredible. i feel like they just told actors to come in with their usual clothes.
. hotch knowing gideon would try to reason with her. aughfhf ;’(
. HOTCH TRYING TO REASON WITH HER .. i love him so much
. gideon so bad ass!!!
. reid and gideon . 🩹
9/10 episode! very good second episode especially after the pilot. love how they set the characters and their relationships with eachother

OCD Culture is...
[pt: OCD Culture is... ] Welcome! this is a [blank]-culture-is blog for OCD, AKA Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. There's one mod, and my name is Milo! I'm the host of a mixed-origins system, and use she/he/they prns. Although anti-endos are free to interact as long as they don't bring in syscourse. Anyway, with intros out of the way, lets get in to it. Rules for submitting: - All asks (aside from questions about the blog n the like) must start with "OCD culture is" or you can include another disorder if its relevant, ex. "ASPD + OCD culture is" - Nothing too NSFW, although if its vague/not in detail its fine. - We won't tolerate bigotry, talking about intrusive thoughts/compulsions/etc. are fine, but hating any minority isn't allowed. Along with that, no demonizing other neroudivergencies. Just because you have OCD doesn't mean you can be mean toward psychotics or those with personality disorders. - No radqueers or transID, or talking about them in a positive light. I kindly ask for proshippers to DNI, i dont think its immoral, but just for my comfort DNI, please! uhh i think thats about it? ill probally add to this as time goes on, but for now thats it! feel free to send in a many asks as your heart desires lol

Hi there! I was wondering if you know and could share any simple spells for making someone call/message us back? Thank you!
Dress a small candle with some form of drawing oil and/or powder and light it, raising your power and aligning the forces you work with in ways pertinent to your craft.
When ready, take up a Bay Leaf and write upon one face of it the full name of your target, as well as the phone number (or social media handle) they use to communicate with you. Say thrice, "I call on you, [Name]!" Flip over the leaf, and on the other side of it, proceed to write your own full name and phone number (or social media handle) that they use to contact you. Say thrice, "I cover you, [Name]!"
Take up a second Bay Leaf and repeat this process exactly. Once this is done, spread a bit of molasses and ground calamus root on the sides of each leaf that bear your target's name. Press and stick these leaves together, sandwhiching the molasses and calamus between them, with your information facing out from either side. When these are satisfyingly stuck together, use the flame of the dressed candle to ignite and burn the Bay Laurel, Molasses, and Calamus (ideally within a flame-safe vessel.) As it burns, give a thirteenth and final call of, "Ashes to Ashes; Dust to Dust; and [Name] to me—and [Name] to me!"
Give a call of conclusion to disperse the powers gathered, and collect the burnt remnants of the leaves. Allow the candle to burn down and take the Ashes from the spell outside to be scattered on the wind—that it might help to carry your desire to the target of your spell.

A tiny ficlet of something that was ruminating in my brain for my dead Soft!Ascended Astarion long fic since the other one seems to be to be doing well.
Untitled
AN: ficlet, literally two paragraphs, incomplete, old draft, Soft!Ascended Astarion, compulsion, feelings, argument

His eyes glowed red and he was staring daggers into her own. “You want to compel me, don’t you.” She gasped. Then she straighten and stared into his eyes defiantly. “Do it.” She inched closer. “Do it!” She screamed.
He straightened his back and released the power he held. “No,” he said through clenched teeth. Her eyes widened. “I am not a monster, you taught me that, and I won’t have you see me as one.” He gave her one last withering stare before turning away and walking off.
