Absolutely phenomenal large scale cutaways I found on Art Station of a Constitution-class refit vessel, the U.S.S. Yorktown, NCC-1717.

The Yorktown was rechristened U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-A, and assigned to Captain Kirk and crew at the end of Star Trek lV: The One With The Whales The Voyage Home.
I'm not sure who the artist is (I think Lewis Niven?). Lemme know if you do so that I can properly credit them.

The approximate size difference between the Constitution-class (refit) U.S.S. Enterprise and the Millennium Falcon.
This reminds me of a friendly argument I had with a buddy in high school. He was super-hyped after seeing Star Wars and had written a fan fiction crossover between the two Star Wars and Star Trek (The Original Series; this was long before even Star Trek: The Motion Picture was released. Lawdy, I'm old....).
The story wasn't too bad, except that he had the Falcon dwarfing the Enterprise. It took me awhile, but I finally convinced him of his error.
He went on to have a very long career as a professional entertainment journalist, and has written several books about each franchise.

U.S.S. ENTERPRISE CUTAWAY
Images taken from a massive poster showing a cutaway drawing of the refit Enterprise from Star Trek: The Motion Picture.

There wasn’t a whole lot of merchandise (books, posters, etc) released in conjunction with the film; not initially, at least.  So whatever did show up in stores I snatched up immediately.  My memory’s a little bit hazy (it’s been a long time, and I’ve killed a lot of brain cells since then), but I’m 99% sure I had this poster in my bedroom.
Not too long later I left home to go work for my Uncle Sam.  The first time I returned home from leave I found that not only had my bedroom been taken away, but most of my belongings had been boxed up and stored in the basement (where I was relegated as well).
Unfortunately, this poster wasn’t in the boxes of my stuff.  I imagine it did not survive the removal process (i.e. it was ripped apart when it was taken down).
Would love to find a replica poster someday.

I need to get this poster again.  The detail on the cutaway sections is phenomenal.

A moment we didn't get to see in Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979) - the Enterprise firing her new, more powerful phasers.

A Starfleet Technical Manual-style page for the refit Constitution-class as it would have appeared in the television series Star Trek: Phase ll.
Paramount pulled the plug on the series in favor of a feature film, and the ship design was further tweaked until we got the version introduced in Star Trek: The Motion Picture.

I love this shot.  I wish I could find one with the TOS Enterprise as well.
