Θυμηθηκα τον maitre της 7ης τέχνης

απο μια αναφορά που εκανε ο φιλτατος @chris_photoart_13 κατα την διαρκεια του Art Workshop ΄΄ Μοδα στην Αρχαιολογια της Βιομηχανίας'' .

Πρα��ματι ο @aakirakurosawa ,οπως και πολλοι άλλοι σκηνοθετες της 7ης Τεχνης με επηρέασαν στην φωτογραφία. Στο κάδρο και στις τεχνικές.

Παντα ελεγα οτι ο πιο ενδιαφερον τρόπος (κατα μια εννοια),να μαθει κανείς φωτογραφία ειναι να βλέπει κινηματογραφο και να παρατηρει,το καδρο και τους φωτισμούς...

Το πορτραιτο του maitre υλοποιήθηκε στις Καννες στο Palais des Festivals οταν παρουσίασε την τελευταία του ταινία ΄΄Madadayo''.

Oταν ρωτησα τον βοηθό του πώς πρεπει να τον προσφωνήσω μου απάντησε "Son équipe l'appelle monsieur, les autres Maître".!

I remembered the maitre d'art from a report made by the kind-hearted @chris_photoart_13 during the Art Workshop "Fashion in the Archaeology of Industry". Indeed, @aakirakurosawa, like many other directors of the 7th Art, influenced me in photography. In the frame and in the techniques. I always said that the most interesting way (in a sense) to learn photography is to watch a film and observe the frame and the lighting… The portrait of the maitre was realized in Cannes at the Palais des Festivals when he presented his latest film "Madadayo". When I asked his assistant how I should address him, he replied "His team calls him Monsieur, the others call him Maître".! Check out his work, it's worth the effort!

O David Lynch μου θύμιζε στον κινηματογραφο οτι η @diane_arbus στην φωτογραφία...

Τον γνωρισα στις Κάννες. Ηταν το 1990 ,Θυμάμαι οταν μπηκα στην σουϊτα που εδινε μια συνεντευξη,για να του κάνω το πορτραιτο,το βλεμμα του.Το πώς με κοίταξε. Ενα εντονο διαπεραστικό βλέμμα.

Τι να πρωτοπώ για τον Lynch...

O κινηματογραφος του μου εμαθε πολλά στην φωτογραφία.

Και τι κινηματογραφος!

Αγγιξε σχεδον ολες τις μορφές των εικαστικών τεχνών. σεναριογράφος, ηθοποιός, ζωγράφος, μουσικός, συγγραφέας και παραγωγός...γνωστός για το ονειρικό και υπερρεαλιστικό στιλ του, καθώς και τα θέματα που ενώνουν την φιλμογραφία του, όπως η αποδόμηση της έννοιας της Αμερικής. Ο Λιντς είναι γνωστός για την αντιπαράθεση σουρεαλιστικών ή απειλητικών στοιχείων με καθημερινά περιβάλλοντα, καθώς και για τη χρήση συναρπαστικών οπτικών εικόνων για να τονίσει μια ονειρική ποιότητα μυστηρίου ή μια απειλή».

David Lynch reminded me in the cinema that @diane_arbus in the photo… I met him in Cannes. It was in 1990, I remember when I entered the suite where he was giving an interview, to take his portrait, his gaze. The way he looked at me. An intense, piercing gaze. What can I say about Lynch first… His cinema taught me a lot about photography. And what a cinema! "The Elephant Man", "Blue Velvet", "Twin Peaks", "Wild at Heart" (Palne d'Or 1990), "Lost Highway", "The Straight Story", "Mulholland Drive"… He touched on almost all forms of the visual arts. Screenwriter, actor, painter, musician, author and producer… known for his dreamy and surreal style, as well as the themes that unite his filmography, such as the deconstruction of the concept of America. Lynch is known for juxtaposing surreal or menacing elements with everyday environments, as well as for using captivating visual images to emphasize a dreamlike quality of mystery or menace." Χλεμούτσι alias Clermont,alias Castello Tornese alias Kastro. Kylini, Peloponnese, Greece From my project ''Chateaux Forts de Grece''. In 2006 the fortresses were exhibited at the Byzantine Museum, '' Byzantines Fortress in Greece'' then, in 2007 the French Embassy in Athens undertook major exhibitions on the ''Fortresses of Greece''-''Chateaux forts de Grece'' in Rhodes, Kalamata, Patras, Athens, Nafplio. Το Χλεμούτσι το γνώριζα απο την μελέτη μου στην μεσαιωνική ιστορία...Το απαθανάτισα το 1986,όταν πραγματοπίησα ενα ρεπορτάζ για τα φρούρια της Πελοποννήσου. Ειναι το μοναδικό διατηρημένο ''φραγκικο'' φρούριο-κατοικία,μεσαιωνικής αρχιτεκτονικής του 13ου αιώνα. Χτίσθηκε μεσα σε 3 χρόνια(1220-1223) απο τον περιφημο Γουλιέλμο Βιλλεαρδουίνο-Guillaume II de Villehardouin Πρίγκηπα της Αχάϊας... Απο το φρούριο υπάρχει μοναδική θέα στο Ιόνιο,με τα νησιά Ζακυνθο και Κεφαλονιά. Απο τα φρούρια με την πιο ενδιαφέρουσα μεσαιωνική ιστορία της Ελλάδας. Αγαπημένο...

Με αφορμή το επικό έργο του#ridleyscott ''Νapoleon'' Tόν γνώρισα στο Παρίσι όταν έκανα παρέα με τον @vangelispapathanassiou .O Ridley με τον Vangelis ειχαν συνεργαστει μαζί σε δύο εξαιρετικά κινηματογραφικά έργα στο #bladerunner τo 1982 και στο #christophecolomb (the conquest of paradise) το 1992. Εξαιρετικά φλεγματικός,με μεγάλη αγάπη gia την Γαλλία και τα κρασιά που φτιάχνει στην Νότιο Γαλλία. Μια προσωπικότητα της 7ης τέχνης. Εστω,και αν πολλά απο τα επικά ιστορικά του έργα ειχαν ενα ''manque de contextualisation''όπως και στο τελευταίο καινηματογραφικό έργο ''Napoleon''...Αλλά απο τον Ridley δεν θα μάθουμε ιστορία,θα μαθουμε κινηματογράφο! #ridleyscott portrait. Paris 1993. On the occasion of the epic work of #ridleyscott ''Napoleon'' I met him in Paris when I was hanging out with @vangelispapathanassiou. Ridley and Vangelis had worked together on two excellent films in #bladerunner in 1982 and #christophecolomb (the conquest of paradise) in 1992. Extremely phlegmatic, with great love for France and the wines it makes in the South of France. A personality of the 7th art. Even if many of his epic historical works had a "manque de contextualisation" as in the last film work "Napoleon"... But from Ridley we will not learn history, we will learn cinema!

Φρούριο Μεθώνης 1986.

Απο το ''project'' ''Chateaux Forts de Grece''

Ηατν το 1986 όταν για λογαριασμό του περιοδικού ΕΝΑ δημιουργησα ενα ρεπορτάζ απο ενα αγαπημένο μου θέμα που ηταν η Μεσαιωνική Ελλάδα και ειδικότερα η Πελοπόννησος.(Με αφορμή την Μεσαιωνική ιστορία,ασχολήθηκα με την φωτογραφία...).

Απαθανάτησα τα πιο ενδιαφέροντα φρούρια της Πελοποννήσου...

Oταν εφευγα απο την Μεθώνη,το απόγευμα ακι πηγαίνοντας για Κορώνη,γύρισα να καοιτάξω αυτο το Βενετσιάνικο αρχιτεκτόνημα του 14ου-15ου αιώνα...Ο ηλιος ήταν στην δύση του και σκέφθηκα να κάνω μια τελευταία φωτογραφία...

Athens 1986. For ENA magazine I met Stamatis at the "Free Theater" at the end of 1984. It was a breath of fresh air for the Greek theater. His long career as an actor, director, writer… The photography was done in the old market and of course in different parts of Athens. Stamatis had and has a sense of humor, a caustic sense of humor, which he expressed many times in his plays and not only.

@catherinedeneuve_ portrait.@cannes_filmfestival 1994.Την Catherine Deneuve την εχω απαθανατίσει επανηλειμένως στις Κάννες...Απο το 1983...με αφορμη την αφίσα του 76ου φεστιβάλ των Καννών,δημοσιεύω ενα απο τα καλύτερα πορτραιτα που της εχω κάνει.Ηταν το 1994.Πρόεδρος της Κριτικής επιτροπής μαζί με τονClint Eastwood.Eίχε έλθει να φωτογραφηθεί.Την ωρα που περίμενε είχε πάρει αυτο το γνώριμο βλέμμα και έκφραση που μου θύμισε όταν την ειχα πρωτοδεί στην εξαιρετική κινηματογαφική ταινία του Luis Buñuel''La belle du jour'' .Τοτε εκανα την λήψη....I have repeatedly photographed Catherine Deneuve in Cannes...Since 1983...on the occasion of the poster of the 76th Cannes festival, I am publishing one of the best portraits I have made of her.It was in 1994. She was chairman of the Jury withClint Eastwood. She had come to be photographed for a photocall.While she was waiting, she got that familiar look and expression that reminded me of when I first saw her in Luis Buñuel's excellent film ''La belle du jour''. Then I made her portrait.
