Ridley and Vangelis had worked together on two excellent films in #bladerunner in 1982 and #christophecolomb (the conquest of paradise) in 1992. Extremely phlegmatic, with great love for France and the wines it makes in the South of France. A personality of the 7th art. Even if many of his epic historical works had a "manque de contextualisation" as in the last film work "Napoleon"... But from Ridley we will not learn history, we will learn cinema!

The poor guy is SO STRESSED worrying about everyone all the time and he deserves a break. Maybe hanging out at the beach or by a pool taking a nap on a lounge chair? (I can provide refs if you would like them. ^_^)

I saw Granting You a Dreamlike Life around five years ago and its still one of the most ridiculous drama on my list. But Luo Fusheng??? He is my best boi. Can't resist long ge's smile.

A Real Life Dream (Monologue)

This YouTube video is a message for all dreamers. It exists because everyone needs to be reminded that they deserve to go after their dreams, regardless of what others say about it. Watch the video and see what Running The Galaxies has to say about the topic.  We need to believe in ourselves, to believe that we are good and strong and capable enough to achieve our daydreaming dreams before we die. This little monologue (or speech) has been sitting on paper for a long time, but now the message is out there for people to hear. Although, it will be up to people what they do after they watch it. Never give up on your dreams!!! NEVER, NEVER, NEVER!!! A big tip to stop your mind from attacking you is not believing the negative things it has to say about you. Same when others say to your face. I know, I know. Easier said than done. It really is. But that doesn’t mean that we can’t do it. Fight it! When the thoughts come in, take a walk, do a fun activity, or talk to someone who makes you happy. The trick is to distract your brain, keeping it occupied until the severity of the thoughts go away. ​ A fun fact about this topic is that it is the very first thing I wrote as a monologue to act out. It started out as a school assignment in college, but I kept it close inside my time capsule for a day that it needed to come out.

this video has a naturally hyperreal aspect

when the tower cam pans over to view the full fact of the wedge tornado carving its path of death through the town, the audio & video happen to freeze evocatively

when the audio comes back, we find the newscasters in a much greater state of panic than they were in when the audio cut out

this makes your mouth water for the part of your mind that is gratified by the natural drama of the situation. this gives you an incentive to project a drama onto that progression of things

but the broadcast didn’t have to go that way

it could have remained stable the whole way through

the drama is just an arbitrary artifact of the way the broadcast proceeded, & the broadcast is just a series of audio & video information intended to correlate with what was actually happening in the newsroom

insofar as it deviates from what was happening in the newsroom to create drama, it’s deviating from reality to create drama, like any scripwriter

but no one did it

so the drama is real but it’s not really real

so what does that mean

in any case: a part of me loves this video. it’;s actually breathtaking

First, I'd like to clarify that I love all the green characters. Some more than others when we compare A with B or C, precisely because of one "writing reason": catharsis.

I love Aemond, how he's the epithome of zero to hero and how we gradually see him reaching his peak:

No dragon? he gets Vhagar;

Lucerys blinds him? he kills Lucerys;

One-eyed? Even so, his skills are worthy of praise by his father figure;

Neglected in favor of the heir, in this family that has no "traditional male role model" to look up to? (I mean, he has Cole to teach him the fighting skills, honor loyalty, etc, but he's a white knight, so in theory he can't teach Aemond about the fatherly aspects of family) His aura reminds me a lot of Tywin's, Aemond proves time and time again that he easily could take over as head of the family, overpowering even his mother in terms of "grandeur".

Victim of assault & bully? he almost gets to kill the abuser/bully;

He was denied the pleasure and glory of killing Meleys by himself? Now he can bask in the glory of being Regent and the only powerhouse of the family, if he falls, so will the Greens.

As we see, all his issues are addressed, he's had his catharsis and I can cheer and be happy for him.

Which is not the case of Aegon, who has been beaten down by the plot and the writers over and over again. All his actions (or lack of) just make things worse, and even so, he's the one to suffer from other characters actions because the writing refuses to let him address his issues (Aegon provoking Aemond in brothel scene, instead of let him confront Aemond about how Luke's death resulted in Jaehaerys death and depending on how things go, allow them to make amends).

He simply isn't allowed any kind of catharsis, he was doomed from the start, they take and take and take from him, and at least for now, scripwriters seem no interested in giving him any "zero to hero" moment like Aemond, and that's why I tend to empathize more with Aegon.

omg thank you for asking!! i love to yap about movies and filmmaking

i basically did everything depending which movie. it was in high school and the production was at most 8 people including the actors and i was one of the founders so i did a lot

i did all the post production (editing, montage, etc) of all the films (i cried. do not recommend getting into post. someone will say "it will be fixed in post" and you will suffer). i acted on the first movie and never again, im a theather actor only from that day. i managed the camara on all except the one i acted bc it wasnt physcally possible but i did offer my insight as a camera person. sound was the same than camera except for one that we had more people so i didnt have to do it. about scripwriting, i wrote two of the movies and helped on another one. and directing, omg directing. thats my true passion. i was the director of all except the first one. i love directing. i woud (and want) to do it.

tbh, i quit bc i was burn out of doing the post production but i would 100% be back to direct or be a camaraman
