Product Engineering in Software Engineering: Latest Trends
Explore how Product Engineering in Software Engineering drives innovation with AI, cloud, low-code, and modern development trends.
Building digital products today requires more than just good code. As a result, companies are shifting to smarter product development methods. As businesses strive to meet rising customer expectations, they often seek help from a software product engineering services company.
These companies combine technology, design, and strategy to bring innovation faster and more reliably.
Therefore, let’s explore how product engineering in software engineering is evolving and what trends are shaping its future.
Why Product Engineering in Software Engineering Drives Modern Products
The idea behind product engineering in software engineering is to build digital products that solve real problems quickly and efficiently. Rather than creating products in silos, teams now work together using shared goals, fast feedback, and constant iteration.
Continuous Discovery
First of all, product teams no longer wait months to understand customer needs. Instead, they perform weekly research sprints to validate every new idea. These discoveries reduce rework and help create user-focused solutions from day one. Furthermore, continuous discovery aligns the product vision with real-time market shifts.
Secure by Design
In the past, security was a final step in the product life cycle. Now, developers integrate security scans into their daily coding process. This proactive approach prevents threats and saves time on future fixes. Additionally, building security from the start improves trust and reduces compliance risks………….

In Regards To Your 2024 Summary:
Holy shit it’s been another year????? The hell?????
Also! Your art style is gorgeous and that being found in 2023 and then refined throughout late 2023 and the entirety of 2024 really shows, as does your growth in panel layouts, perspective, and — as you said — experimentation. If you ever post your animation or video game art I’m looking forward to it.
As cheesy as it sounds, being able to laugh at funny comics and look at all the details of your art really made my 2024 brighter, even when things were hard. Including looking at your older art— it doesn’t need to be new to be enjoyable! I’m glad your art is well loved and it’s a privilege to have been here since the (near) beginning. I hope you take care of yourself in 2025 and beyond!
You and your art bring a lot of people a lot of joy never forget that <3
Thank you so much for keeping up with my art journey throughout these last two years! Two years!!! I am baffled at how that feels both too long and too short!
Admittedly, my art summary didn't manage to capture the fact that I did a lot of comic layouts that I'm really proud of. I also drew more backgrounds and made some very detailed works (*Dungeon Meshi spoilers for these examples*).
The growth is lot more evident when comparing my 'best' comics of 2023 to 2024:
Sometimes the growth is vertical, sometimes it is horizontal - and damn, sometimes it goes out of sight into the Z-plane. But it is always happening!
#art summary#ask#The privilege is honestly mine; to be able to create comics and have had people rooting me on since the beginning really means a lot.#To everyone who the potential I couldn't and continues to stick around: Thank you so very much.#I cannot emphasize enough that I do see you. I do notice those who regularly like/reblog/comment.#I notice when people who haven't been around come back and mass like/reblog posts.#There are some people who have only *ever* liked my posts or have only ever lurked! I notice! I am so thankful!#At the risk of also sounding cheesy; I'm honestly happy to give back whatever I can to my audience.#Knowing I have brought people a little bit of joy to their day with my silly comics makes every long night worth it.#I probably make a longer post about it in the future; but last year when I made my first comic redraw-#-was the same day I got the news that someone very beloved to me passed away. I was in such deep grief I couldn't respond to comments.#But I still read them and I mean this earnestly; even though I was smiling through tears -#everyone's kind words truly helped make a pretty dark month a lot brighter. I probably would have crumbled without the support.#What really gets me is this: it was never directed at trying to cheer me up. It was just earnest kindness towards a stranger making comics.#If you've ever wondered 'hey does PD-MDZS know how much I appreciate their silly comics?'#know I have also sat here and thought 'Hey does this person know how much I appreciate seeing them in my notifications?'#Which also includes you! Mina BNHA you will always be associated with the cool person who's been rooting for me B*)#I wish everyone a wonderful new year; may all our creative endeavors be something we see as an exciting discovery.

I think what’s really just utterly compelling and really kindof beautiful about the whole James Fitzjames DNA confirmation is just how beautiful this intersection between history and the artistic mirror that we hold up to it coming together to celebrate this discovery is in a way breathing some life and even peace back into this person.
Like… I feel like a lot of the time we as a culture when we hear about the discovery of new artifacts, remains, remnants of history in any form, we have enough distance to it to accept the mysteries that we will never be able to reconcile about them. Like digging up folks who perished in pompeii, we may never know who exactly they were, what kinds of people they were. Who they loved, what they loved doing will remain as intangible to us as what they looked like. And it becomes harder with so many of those pieces missing to look at those bones and have any sense of certainty who they really were.
But we DO know James Fitzjames. In SO many ways. We know him because there isn’t just copious historical documentation on his life, the things he wrote, the things he did in his life the ramifications on the people he loved when he was lost, but also this weird little show that inexplicably gives us both a window into the unimaginable circumstances that led to his death alongside that of over a hundred other men, but also a mirror through which so many of us have been able to empathize deeply with the weight of those circumstances.
In that way we do really know who he was. And now he’s not merely a single jaw in an unprecedented pile of bones anymore, he has an IDENTITY again. And it’s taken so long and so many generations but we FOUND him. We had a tangible historical grasp on him already and it feels so much more personal now that we know exactly where he died. To know a rough time frame in which he perished. To know that circumstantially he was probably one of the first consumed in what was easily one of the most dire survival situations of his century- perhaps even ours. It’s closure and peace and relief for an individual that is still so cared for even though there are centuries between the time when he died and us and the circumstances in which we live. And from this information there is STILL more we can piece together for so many of the other individuals who were with him.
And we have all of that, all because of something as simple as a DNA test. That is one of the most beautiful things I have ever fucking seen.
#anyway I love it here#james fitzjames#I’m genuinely so deeply in awe with this discovery and the energy with which people have met it today and THAT is going to make me cry#I hope we get to do this every now and again. I hope more remains get identified and we learn more and can continue to bring some closure#and some peace to these souls that have been lost for so long#happy jfj discovery day everybody I gotta go to bed

ive always wondered whether or not the brothers felt guilty for killing that vice captain (unless it was intentional). Ran seemed to have respect for the dead when Izana and (not really dead but you know) Kakucho died, so you would assume it would affect him. Kind of sad we never got to see more of their backstory
I like to imagine it was an accident and they just went "WHOOPS LMAOOOO 🤣" as they got arrested
Well there's no canon reaction to it so this is just my theory but I've always assumed they didn't purposely go out to kill the guy but they don't regret their actions either. Like they got a bit carried away (it sounds like the guy was still alive when he got to the hospital/ was in the ambulance). And I don't think they regret his death because they tried to do the same thing to Hakkai, even after Angry pointed out Hakkai was going to die, they didn't stop.

As for the whole Ran thing, I think it's just that he had respect for Izana and Kakucho, not for death. It does say in his character book that he respects Kakucho the most and it's clear from how he follows Izana that he also respects him too. Plus he didn't really have a reaction when South died. (Though tbf it was pretty dangerous at the time).

#i could see this being a timeline thing too ngl like in the good timeline they grow to regret it as they realise what they did and took away#where as in bad timelines they never have that discovery because the violence just continues#tokyo revengers#tokrev#tokyo rev#haitani brothers#tokyo revengers spoilers

The very interesting way that sb94 writers are well aware that Kon is a child and still immature as he (as to be expected from people who are 16 but also 1 year old) is trying to make sense of the world around him but also like …. Puts him in these immensely fucked up and traumatizing positions with none of the concern that would normally follow such heavy storylines is what makes it an equally frustrating and compelling read. It hits like a gut punch every time you analyze its themes past surface level cape shit. It goes from “oh he’s so wacky” to “oh….they’re def exploiting him rn” within one page. It’s actually kinda horrifying.
It’s like when you’re watching home alone and Kevin’s mom is calling the police to go do a home check on her 8 year old son that she accidentally left in the house by himself and they’re like …. Lady. This is nothing to get hysterical over. You’re wasting our time. There’s no reason for us to do that shit lol he’ll be fine. And you’re just sitting there like oh wow, that’s… that’s not?????? And then that terrifying reality sets in that’s like oh yeah … not leaving young kids alone at home only stopped being socially acceptable VERY recently. And then you have to spend the movie watching this little boy be endearing and charming cuz he’s smart and capable enough to get himself out of these sticky situations but he literally should not have to be. He should not be in this situation at all, actually.
That’s how it feels reading Superboy 94 sometimes. What do you mean you don’t have a birth certificate?????????? WHAT DO YOU MEAN “CUTE IN A JAILBAIT KIND OF WAY”????
#I do this thing when I read new comics#where I read like … a random issue in the middle before I go chronologically#cuz I live for a little chaos n whatnot#but anyway#when I did it for Superboy 94 …. I landed on the issue where Conner is homeless#at first I was giggling I won’t even lie to you#haha he’s so funny he thought being a celebrity was all it took to live in a luxury high rise#but then the dread sunk in and I was like oh. uhm. actually. where the fuck are the adults?#it was … an interesting feeling starting issue 1 and realizing that this trend only continues#not having a belly button is funny. cute enough to get a chuckle even#NOT HAVING A BIRTH CERTIFICATE IS CONCERNING#Kon#kon el#the s stands for self discovery

Veilguard as a sequel is deeply frustrating to me bc so much of Inquisition (and to differing extents DA:O/DA2 as well) is about uncovering the truth at the heart of history's myths/lies at the heart of the institutions that make society run and Veilguard as a game seems disinterested in engaging w/ them.
Cassandra's personal quest uncovering that the secret of Tranquility having a cure has been known by the Order for centuries, Ameridan being a Dalish elf of dual faiths, the truth behind what happened at Red Crossing, that Elvhenan was an empire that did what empires do best, that Valta was kicked from Orzammar for being honest about the King's connection with the Carta, the reveal of the Titans themselves being a discover of buried history at long last come to light.
And to go further back, discovering things like the Ashes, or the truth of the werewolves in the Brecilian Forest, or the truth of Orzammar's golems. Finding and grappling with the truth of ugly history and healing and moving forward. Sometimes with sacrifice.
Only for Veilguard to offer the same solutions that we saw in past games were band-aids, slapped over the wounds of the past. We find out elves were spirits, that the evanuris made and harnessed the Blight, that the Titans were made Tranquil at the hands of the gods, and... let's just keep it with people we trust, guys.
Because keeping the secret of Tranquility worked well for the Seekers, and wasn't the final straw on the camel's back for the mage rebellion. Because people might think elves are demons* and the world doesn't need any more reasons to treat elves poorly. Because the dwarves don't deserve to learn about their own history, except in a short cutscene at the end of Harding's quest that only seems to serve the purpose of them being able to move on as quickly as possible.
For a game that reveals so much about the world's past it seems fundamentally disinterested in engaging in it on any satisfying level. Even on a personal level in Bellara and Harding's quests it falls so flat. It seems mostly interested in shoving the past back in a closet so we can continue on as normal in case there's a DA5.
*I wonder if there's some physical barrier between us and the world of spirits that might make those assumptions easier to have? Eh. Probably not important. Definitely not worth asking questions about.
#tas talks#tas plays da4#da4 critical#da4 spoilers#like i can't say there's NO engagement but like. i don't think what's there is done well.#dragon age as a series rly itched the part of my brain that loves history and exploring the questions of the past#and for a game with so many answers it seems uninterested in the idea that#answers just reveal more questions. that every new discovery (ugly or beautiful) is a new conversation.#and you could say ''well in da5 maybe-'' but the way it's handled here i don't think they're particularly interested in continuing#the conversation. from how the dalish / bellara / harding's quests are handled. from how the veil is handled.#if what is in the game works for you btw i'm happy for you.

I always think it's funny when people into learning about true crime/conspiracies go into detail about how they're "mostly into the PSYCHOLOGY behind it!" thats great. I'm just really fucking nosy
#DISCLAIMER: I'M AWARE THAT CONSUMING IT IS BAD. I WILL CONTINUE#theyre usually talking about the “Psychology” but are watching Investigation Discovery documentaries but i wont get into that now

will never not be a little peeved that adira's first two episodes feature endless misgendering. i get that they hadnt specified pronouns yet, and kind of maybe didnt know themself yet?, but considering the level of promo given to discovery's new non-binary character, to have to spend that much time meeting a new character and hearing 'she/her' that much was and is pretty frustrating. like we as the audience knew before any of the characters did
that said, i do find the layered metaphor that their joining with the tal symbiont is called 'an aberration' because adira is human, added with the beginning of the arc with gray, to be pretty damn compelling still. that mix of being othered but also hope is pretty well done imo! discovery is constantly trying so hard wrt telling queer stories, usually failing a tad, but also then bringing it back in, and i do respect that pretty solidly. TWO instances of unbury your gays is pretty unhinged to pull off and yet!!
#my posts#dsc rewatch#adira tal#meta#discovery#talk tag#pretty excited to continue this rewatch because i only partially remember how this all goes#dsc spoilers
