Game Info: Phantom [ST] is a direct descendant of Tetra and Wind [WW, PH].

Wis Info:

Phantom joins HW post-ST, but Tetra and Wind join HW while they’re still in the middle of WW, so the sailor duo is a couple years younger than Phantom when they meet her in Hyrule Warriors.

By the time of Wisdomverse, Phantom and Spirit are a bit older at around 16, while Tetra’s 14 but closer to 15, and Wind is ~13.

Simon would love a little freak (affectionate) of a partner. Like you collect weird things, like taxidermy or bones? Say less, babes. He's getting you an animal skull for your birthday.

Is your thing clowns? Man is scouring the internet for some obscure clown clock because you saw it on Ebay once and complained about the price.

You likes bugs? Great, he's got a friend named Roach. Y'all be freaks (affectionate) together. But also he's building you a butterfly garden, or buying you a pet spider, or whatever.

It doesn't even have to be weird. You could just really like the ocean, or horses, or whatever. And I just realized what I'm getting at is that Simon would love a neurodivergent partner...

And he would!! He'd listen to you ramble and rant, and he'd be making a mental list of things to look for when he buys you presents. You could be hyperfixated on literally anything, and Simon would find a way to get you a present related to that interest. This man would move heaven and earth, if it meant making you happy.

Everyone meet my Soundblaster! A poorly disguised Wavewave child and a bundle of joy and severe anxiety!

Notes:

- Shockwave is surprisingly a decent creator, his thought process when he realizes that the clone he made for shits and giggles is an actual living bot:

I made him = I’m the creator = I gotta take care of this thing now = He is my sparkling

Basically logic’ed his way into being a dad.

- Soundblaster’s highly emotional personality makes him the prime (hah) victim for bullying, though the harassments barely last due to Shockwave and the fact that the guy basically never leaves his creator’s lab outside of work.

- Soundblaster works as Shockwave’s lab assistant (not really) and the Nemesis’ janitor (much to his dismay).

- Soundblaster’s cassette tapes are almost always hanging out due to a lack of Cassettebots in his system. It is always tugged and stepped on.

- Megatron sometimes crashes Soundblaster’s shift outside of the lab to talk his audios off, he has no idea why the war lord does this, but the tea is always hot so Soundblaster doesn’t question it.

- Soundblaster thinks very highly of Soundwave.

Call me old fashioned but I don't much like the idea/fanon/concept of the Doctors "real" name being anything except the Doctor/Doctor Who. As I understand it, a renegade time lord takes a weird pretentious title as a name as a way of symbolically separating themselves from Gallifrey and therefore abandoning their birth name or any name their fellows would have known them by (in other words. The transgenderism of it all). Maybe the Doctors birth name is something we are or aren't meant to know about but it doesn't matter because. That's their deadname and it doesn't make any real difference.

"You could leave with me," 'Gray' nods at him, there is the familiar, mischievous smile. Yet the sincerely in which he offers his hand, it reflects in his eyes.

Danny reflects back on his life, staring at his partner, how Freakshow had gotten him into this Circus in the first place.

"Where would we go?" He relents, grasping the offered hand to hold it simply. The weight of the appendage is calming for his racing heart.

'Gray' softens, leaning against him. Their outfifs– tight on their bodies, colourful for the eyes of the people. Ruffles, dark and gooey to fit the theme of the circus, showing more skin than comfortable– it was home.

After so long, it had become home and Danny isn't sure if he could leave it.

(Is that how Freakshow never lost any workers even after his staff broke? Did they become dependent on him just as he has?)

"Everywhere." His performance partner replies, reassures with his presence and Danny soaks it in.

They would move tomorrow, but 'Gray' would not come along.

edi just went home. i miss her already! i get to watch her brother for a few days in november. it’s so nice seeing them all the time. hoping there’s one for me to keep in the next batch!

HTTYD 2 is ten years old today, it was my first exposure to the franchise and despite its many glaring flaws i can't help but love it and hold it so close to my heart.

This scene is a great example of why.

I love it so much. It's a heart-wrenchingly beautiful reminder that as good as he is, Hiccup is not some perfect hero. He is still just a person, a flawed human being who has cracked under the pressure of his circumstances and is barely given time to grieve his fathers' death.

(I adore scenes like this — It humanizes characters so much more, and just adds to that layer of perceived realism.)

And you can see the regret on his face as soon as he says it. But in that moment he doesn't do anything about it; he's still processing Stoick's death, and he only snaps out of it when he sees Toothless is under the Bewilderbeast's control again and Valka has to hold him back from attempting to go after him.

What he said and did to Toothless there was a momentary lapse in judgment fueled by grief. And later, as he breaks Toothless out of the Alpha's control, you can see he feels terrible about it. About how, even if it was brief, he pushed away his best friend. And he loves Toothless so much.

The way he talks to him literally breaks me every time I rewatch it.

"It wasn't your fault, you'd never hurt him, you'd never hurt me."

"Please, you... are my best friend, bud. My best friend."

And when Toothless comes back he just looks so elated to see Hiccup.

Though, Something that's even crazier to me is the fact all this takes place over less than a week. Once he gets toothless back and Drago is defeated, he is immediately made chief. And with the state berk is in, he is given presumably no time to properly mourn Stoick, or to fully adjust to the presence of his mother.

(though I feel his and Valka's relationship will never be what it could've been. He knows she chose not to come back, and that is a blow to their newly formed and fragile bond that, as much as they love each other, is not something she can ever fully make up for.)

But at least through everything, since the beginning, the one real constant he's had has been Toothless.

They're friendship was built off a mutual feeling of out-of-placeness, then unconditional trust and unwavering loyalty.
