Taylor studies Link’s furrowed brow, his face contorted and creased in deep thought, perhaps studying the menu. Taylor’s more focused on studying the situation. Fancy restaurant, Link asked him, they’re both dressed nice, is Link wearing cologne? He smells like flowers, though not so strong it gives Taylor a headache. They’re seated at a table, a candle in the centre and dim lighting everywhere. Mild chatter fills the room, from various tables. Glancing around, Taylor notices fancy paintings on the walls. Mostly of fruit. “Um, I got you this,” Link says, bringing a rose out from behind his back. Taylor takes it, wincing at a thorn before adjusting his grip. “Sorry. It’s—it’s kinda sharp.” “Thanks,” Taylor says, heat rushing to his cheeks. Taylor bites his lip, mind fuzzy with inexperience, but Link smiles at him with that sheepish grin of his and it brings a sense of clarity. This is definitely a date.

I'm glad!

Not to make this about the other bracket, but Wolf 359 is one of my favorite podcasts* and it is all about identity and memories and the power of a name and what makes a person that person. It doesn't have alternate timelines (aside from the premise of the setting) but it does have a couple minor time loops. So finding out about the various Nicks intrigues the same part of me that loves that podcast.

*Although I have not managed to relisten to it since the finale because every time I try the Emotions™ overtake me.
