a lot of people are theorizing about how it's going to be when the crew finally reunites with Comfrey, with some thinking that she's going to be a bad person (or just otherwise not good). My thing is, yeah, I feel like it will be impossible for the crew to not be disappointed when they find her.

So far, they have all been singing her highest praises. They remember her for her incredible adventuring prowess and inspiring sky-eyed nature, but enough time has passed that things are bound to change, just as each of the PCs has changed since they last saw Comfrey. Enough time has passed that they speak about her like she's a god more than a friend.
