Rum Tum Tugger is a brown rosette tabby. His eyes are green.

Cassandra is a cinnamon and white bicolor. Her eyes are blue.

Baby’s first zine participation!! It was an absolute honour to be invited on as guest artist and been given the chance to work with some of the community’s most talented creatives in the @namingofcatszine ! This was definitely one of if not the most ambitious pieces I’ve ever attempted over the course of a few months in 2023 but I wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone and create something I can truly be proud of. Thank you so much to all the mods, artists, writers for their incredible efforts and of course the unwavering support of the Cats community for making this happen 🫶 it has been an amazing experience from the beginning until the end 🥹

tech/telepathy/theatre twins. they might not always be what you want but they're definitely what you need (ФωФ)

i accidentally thought about them too much and lost my mind. anyway those two are CLIMBERS they joke about only working in theatre so they can hop on rigs and set lights and help out with props. they've got the same specializations (double education, how exhausting is that? well they were both going for technicians, but it's not like you need two people at the board every time), so they switch around sometimes and very few folks can tell. 🤭 not that it's a big deal; they're usually together.

they're young for their work but humble if you look past some convictions they've got their feet dug up on. the overall vast spiritual inner world they're always caught up in makes them difficult conversation partners if you want answers, but if you need them to listen they're up for it any time. you can find them cooped up in wee backstage niches if you try to remember where you saw them last, but it's hard to meet them by chance. when you need them, though, they're always there and no further :)

practical lovers of the mundane, and perpetual victims of the spiritual. they can't go a week without saying the same thing in chorus, and if they hadn't traded all their socks to where they have no matching pairs, they would be wearing the same ones every other day in spite of their best efforts. and they love it.

folks around them joke about giving their future spouses grief or changing their first names to be the same so they can become a sort of Perfectly Synced Superbeing; fortunately, the two believe marriage to be a scam by the state, and legal naming even more so.ヽ(￣▽￣)ノ what can i tell ya.

even beyond that; their belief in the power of names - social names, namely - is so unshakable that when tantomile (🏳️‍⚧️) picked hers, they agreed coricopat would as well. if asked about the experience, they'll note that it was changing coricopat's legal name which was an incredibly unnecessarily tedious experience. the rest can be inferred.

they're also one of the few theatre workers to be proficient enough in sign language to hold a conversation, though victoria tells them - to their mild grief - that they have a funny accent and look rusty. :p "anything's better than tugger though", so they'll take the wins where they can get them.

Rehearsals have began in Australia for the tour to open next month, and with it the performers had a chance to see the new (if 2021 counts!) costume and makeup designs by John Napier.
