Thoughts on Media: The Three-Body Problem
I recently delved into The Three-Body Problem and it’s been a transformative experience, pushing me into an existential reflection I hadn’t anticipated. The show’s premise, set against the backdrop of cosmic vastness and the relentless march of scientific progress, struck a chord that resonates deeply. A Universe Teeming with Life and Paradox:One of the most compelling aspects of The Three-Body…

“One way dream” but it’s a lullaby Sonic sings or hums for Tails while hugging him whenever there’s a thunderstorm so he doesn’t get too scared.

There was something wrong with her. She didn't know what it was but there was something wrong with her. A hunger, a restlessness. An incomplete knowledge of herself. The sense of something farther away, beyond her reach. - Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Americanah

Outside every black hole, there is a curve in space so sharp that light can fall around the hole in a circular orbit. You could jet-pack to the location of light’s circular orbit and hover there. You will need to fire engines to resist your fall into the hole. Once there, you could shine a light on your face. Your face will reflect some of the light (if we didn’t reflect light, we’d be invisible) and send the image of your face in a reverse orbit toward the back of your head. You could wait a few tenths of a millisecond for that light to reflect off the back of your head then circle back about and land in your eyes. You could watch your own back.

📼 Uploaded Reality — Entry 001
The Signal That Knew Our Names
> Discovered on a flickering tape labeled Reel-JX-54, lodged beside a branded candy jar and an unused basketball hoop.
Playback initiated. Static compliant.
🔍 Observed Through
· crackling switchboards trying to hold memory
· pauses that lingered like someone was deciding
· analog ghosts coiled gently in the wires
· a silence that didn’t want to be disturbed
🎛️ Environmental Glimpses
– Sound: rotary clicks, trailing voices, fading transmission residue
– Light: warm dusk over rusted metal, soft gym lights refusing to die
– Emotion: a mix of awe, weariness, and that feeling right before you remember something important
– Offness Detected: stories too rehearsed, the calm before vanishing
🎙️ Moments Caught in the Signal
– Billy’s voice slow and steady, like confession in syrup
– A woman who spoke like she’d already told it too many times
– Everett dreaming fast through a radio haze
– Fay listening like no one else could
– The sky: open. The ground: silent.
– They were taken, and no one screamed.
🌀 Codex Impression
> “They disappeared like background noise being dialed down.
No final words. No panic.
Just a hum,
and then... nothing.”

hey jade! i have a question
im not sure if u have talked about this before or if it even makes sense but i keep thinking about it.
say i scripted that 1 hour in my cr = 1 day in my dr and then i shifted to my dr for lets say 8 hours cr time (so in my dr 8 days will have past). when i shift back to my cr am i 8 days older? or am i still 8 hours because i shifted back even though i have lived those 8 days in my dr?
i get what you're saying, and your PHYSICAL CR BODY would be 8 hours older, but your MIND would be 8 days older. the two have separately experienced different amounts of time. i tried to put it as simple as possible, does that make sense or should i clarify further??

the mirrored one? 👀 i dont think ive heard about them!
Tumblr media
The mirrored one, Thezlotl! The god and father of all knoxes, from the half-breed knoxlings to the cryptic Knoxsh'aards, ones that are closest to him by an arm's reach-
He's actually a lot more benevolent than his children, but his magic is often seen as the opposite, taking the worst qualities of the you to bring a toxic* minion into being. To command and control, to fight for you, and not blink an eye about how moral it is. Thezlotl himself had to do the same to save his wizard apprentice from an ill fate his own shadow was urging them to go on. Go on and risk parting from their own shadow by stealing their identity and their life. All at the cost of him being locked away in an inescapable pocket dimension. But that gives way for the knoxes to have their own home away from home. Their nexus, the shattered part of him is the homey islands for all these hellcats, but from afar they just seem like space debris floating around his head. even with the black pools of darkness growing from the broken parts of his visage, a smile is still seen. Weary, tired, exhausted, though still welcoming, with love, and attentive to those who acquire his attention. There's one... thing to note about seeing him in person... He looks like you. Of course not a full version, but the silhouette, at a passing glance one can tell it is yourself from the key features anyone sees on your person. Liches, warlocks, necromancers, and various magic users heard of this and wanted such a minion. Thezlotl still wants to experience the mortal plane, so in exchange, he gives parts of the knoxsh'aards(by extension himself) to make a knoxonk or knoxling. The more that's out there the more he's able to pierce the vale and see a bit more clearly into this world than the last(he has no problem looking now though!). *: note not all knoxes will take up these toxic traits upon creation. Sometimes it's still the same traits and fears of the soul donor. Other times it's the qualities you pretend to have as a front. Or it could be insecurities come to life! The base of the matter, this is your( the creator's), shadow. Confront it, dominate it(much to Thezlotl's dismay), accept it, or let it consume you as you see fit.
