I'm looking forward to finishing the Walking Dead solely because I'll be able to consult characters' Wiki pages to help me write mostly accurate fics without being completely spoiled about if/when/how they die (my toxic trait is that it severely bothers me when my own work isn't canon compliant, even when most readers won't care nearly as much as me).

I won't say I'm a huge anti-spoiler person, BUT since I'm watching the show with my brother, I don't want to have to silently live with the knowledge that something's going to happen or someone's going to die, even if he's seen a lot of it through YouTube shorts, and he knows that I've seen a lot of TWD stuff on Tumblr (I haven't mentioned specifically that I've read a lot of spoiler-heavy TWD reader-insert fics, since I'll never hear the end of it). Also, I just like having some tension, you know? If I know that so and so is going to die in this way, the tension's mostly gone when the show briefly teases that they're going to die in a different way.

(Though I did know that [redacted] would die in season [redacted] episode [redacted], but it was still really fucking shocking and disturbing in a way that a lot of horror media simply isn't, for me. at least.)

Anyway, I'm on season 7 of TWD, so I'll add it to my fandom list when I'm on the last season of the show, with a note saying not to spoil the last season when sending in asks. I've reblogged some TWD fics that I've enjoyed on my fanfic rec account, @cosmicballet; if you have any good reader-insert fics that don't spoil anything beyond season 7 and have a gender neutral, nonbinary, transmasc or male reader, feel free to send me a link or tag me or something (either with this blog or @cosmicballet). If it does have any spoilers, just let me know when you send it to me and I'll save it for later. I'm mainly interested in reading for Daryl because I'm basic af, but I'd be interested in reading for other characters, too, male and female, romantic and platonic. I'm also a Eugene simp but I know that a lot of fics about him feature spoilers for future seasons (I know the spoilers but I'd still like to avoid them for now). Michonne, Carol, Glenn and Maggie are my other beloveds, but again I'll read a fic centred on anyone as long as it's interesting enough. If it's Carl, I'd want something platonic, unless he's definitively 18+ in the fic. I'm not that into smut unless it's got fluff, angst and/or feelings in it. I prefer one-shots and headcanons but I'd be happy to read some short series. I don't have any triggers, but it'd be handy if fics were accurately and clearly tagged. Feel free to self-promote, too.

hello there!

if you don’t know already, i’m cosmicballet. i write fanfiction, use tumblr regularly and read a lot of reader-insert fanfiction on it.

however, for a while i’ve been guilty of the sin of not reblogging the stuff i enjoy reading, since i’ve never really wanted to fill my other blogs up with the work of someone else. i’ve felt bad for doing this in the past, so i’ve decided to reblog the stuff that i read.

most, if not all, of the stuff i read is reader-insert fanfiction, but i usually read plus size!reader and/or gn!reader stuff. i only follow some fanfiction blogs on my fanfic account, but, if, through this, i discover some new blogs, i’ll follow them on here and on my main blog.

Here’s a link to my latest fic. It’s a triple drabble and a Hannah-centric study of Hannah’s relationship with Grace. I’m really happy with it even though this was a product of an all-nighter and had the potential to be not very good. It’s my usual brand of queer angst, but surprisingly with an undeniably canon relationship.
