I'm fairly sure I'm less than half way through act 1, and already so much of my mental health hinges on getting to have lucanis' soft weirdly low-key voice in my ears saying absolutely insane shit and delightedly whispering 'buddy baby what'

"why is my fave actor still in a dumb franchise 😢" there's this lil important thing called CONTRACT LAW where, if you are 22 and you sign up to do say 11 movies in a franchise (*cough* Sebastian Stan), but the contract doesn't say when those movies will release....you could still be stuck in that franchise into your 50's

"oh, they really love the franchise that's why they're still in it 🤡" could be, or could be they signed their life away to it and have little choice. if they rely on the franchise for their income---a number which can go up or down---they better not talk trash

"why would such a good actor pick such a stinker film???"

they read an amazing script, signed up to be in the film, but NO LAW says the studio cannot completely change the script, their character, and everything else about the movie after they've signed

they heard that an actor/director they like will be in it, or were directly asked to join by someone on the project they respect

they genuinely need the paycheck (which CAN be protected by law) the same way other people work at McDonald's

they wanted to try something new (some actors do get bored, guys)

they prefer indies where the managers are dedicated to the craft not the box office lottery

shockingly, their every move is NOT dictated by strangers on the internet, aka fans

Ok ok so, maybe someone has thought of this before, but... what if, using the demon lore ideas from season 2, at the end of kuro's main plot overall, IF it ends up that Sebastian does get to eat o!ciel's soul, he gets influenced by said soul, and now wishes most of his future contracts to take care of children/protect abused/abandoned children, and only answers to them when summoned, even if summoned by a shitty adult.

It does sadden me that when Bethesda/Zenimax outsource certain works (eg. Stuff for Legends), a lot of time the *only* credit for a work is the studio they contracted. Often times these studios have no listed credits for their artists and thus the best I can provide is just the studio name itself.

Its a mixed bag of course and thankfully a lot of artists are contracted individually or even work directly as part of Bethesda/Zenimax for a short term and thus are allowed to upload their work to public portfolios.

I'm super grateful that you and others seem to understand that artistic credit is hard to find sometimes, but that I try my best to give maximum credit to artists, or at very least, the studio responsible for these amazing artworks :)
