Hey everyone! So ever since I entered the Twisted Wonderland fandom, I am having so much fun and the people in it are so invested, too! Since I loved the game, I decided to make my own OCs!

(I wasn't in the mood to draw anything back there so I just used Picrew LMFAO)

Trivia

According to numerous students, they often describe Valerie to be more assertive and friendly than Valerian.

On the other hand, the same students describe Valerian to be more reserved and mysterious than Valerie.

To avoid confusion who is who (due to their names being very similar that they cannot simply call them V or Val), the twins said to call them Riri and Rian. Ever since, it helped the others easily distinguish who they are talking about.

In the Ramshackle Dorm, the housewarden is Valerian whereas Valerie is the vice housewarden. In their dorm, they ensure to keep an eye on Grim to avoid more mischiefs.

Ever since the twins earned their positions as housewardens and prefects, they do everything seriously. They always keep their place clean, practice discipline with many students, and tutor those who are troubled with schoolwork.

Speaking of which, both Valerie and Valerian are one of the most intelligent students in the Night Raven College. Despite the lack of magic, they excel in their schoolwork with flying colors.

For their backstory, the twins used to live in another universe where everything was prosperous and harmonious. However, it was tragically wrecked by a disaster that turned the universe into ruins. The only things left in it were debris of their lands, a small couple of valuable resources, and a very few people.

Their family consisted of a mother, a father, a younger brother and a young sister. They also have a Newfoundland Dog named Boof. Among the family members, only the twins and younger brother survived.

During the disaster, Valerian almost lost his life. He was fortunately saved, but he lost his entire left arm in the process. With the help of the grownups, they created a mechanical prosthetic arm for Valerian. (Yes, Valerian is an amputee!)

Among the twins, surprisingly, the older twin is actually Valerie. Valerian was born 10 minutes after her. Whenever shared, many could hardly believe it.

also yes, i ~did pull a roderick and just pass right over eabha to get to cormac lkajdfkljdsfsdf i find him a delight i will not be apologizing for this lkajsdflkdjsf

cormac is here to build you up!!!! real talk, his wild and flagrant compliments, not always being fully grounded in reality, may indeed miss the mark more times than not, but not for lack of trying!!!! cormac wants you to know that he thinks ur the best and loves you v much!!!!!!! he probs (definitely) has some fantasy built up in his head abt just how he perceives ur relatinship and, sure, unless ur cassimir, ~he is the hero of the story of whatever ur relationship is but!! youre still pr great to have managed to draw ~his attention!!!! i mean look what he is wearing!!!!! cormac is smth extraordinary so ur doing smth right just to have drawn his attention!!!!!!!

even fiona, who is his least favorite loved one atm (see: even MORE swans in his chambers last night!!!! *cue unbridled sobbing*) is entitled to words of affirmation when she needs them, but she ~is at a point where she must need them to hear them bc they're in a tiff rn. same goes for eabha, generally, but that's actually much more complicated. other than that tho no solicitation needed!!! he will drown you in praise just for coming near him if his mind strays to that, esp if ur cassimir who is heartily deserving of all our love and devotion!!!!!!!!

don't think cormac strays from this one either!!! its not as natural to him as some of the others, words of affirmation and gifts probs being his primary means of conveying affection, but as we all know, cormac is of a rather flamboyent turn, and his gestures and touches are no less so!!! the man is given to histrionics, BIG TIME, and you can see this in how he interacts w others as well. he WILL be pulling you into a big hug or seizing your hand as he screams or pulling you out onto the dance floor if you happen to be a woman (esp a malconaire!) or gasping way too loudly and grasping the fabric of your sleeve while holding his hand to his mouth...cormac isn't one to be shy!!!!

ok so here's a big one!!!! real talk, idk that any of these gifts are things that you particularly ~want!! but you wiLL be getting them!!! i feel like bolts of like tulle is a go-to gift -- no one is wearing enough!!!!!! the gaudiest toothpick case you've ever seen (yes, that ~was a sense & sensibility reference <3)???? the most useless, extravagant, and tasteless things imaginable!!!!!!! and he wiLL be insisting you use it, too!!!!!!!!!! he might (probably will) cry if you don't!!!!! or if you try to return it!!!!!! he defffff feels that he's doing you a huge favor w this btw!! like...he's got faults, but a lack of generosity isn't one...unfortunately, a lack of taste ~is one tho lajkdsfljksdf and these are noT gifts that are taking your tastes into consideration!!! they're what ~he thinks would suit you/you should try out or whatever lakjsdfjklsdf

cormac also relishes receiving gifts!!!!! while they rarely meets his tastes, he understands that his level of taste is untouchable by the rest of the world!!! and the thought!!!! he WILL weep!!!!!! it means sm to him that you thought of him and wanted him to have smth like that!!!!!!! like!!!!! you were going abt ur day!!!!!! and he was in ur thoughts!!!!!! and here is a symbol of that for him to keep!!!!!!! yule is a really emotional time for him lakjsdfkljsdjkf

cormac is here to have a good time!!!!! and sure his idea of that is hardcore gossip w tea and finger sandwiches and everyone he knows there and dancing to loud flamboyant music and everyone in their best looks, all surrounded by the most ostentatious decor you've ever seen but!!! quality time is quality time!!!! he'll whine bitterly but if you ask him to he'll go to the swamp w you (tho...if you really want him there maybe don't mention the swamp just that ur going on an adventure lkajdsfkjlsdjf) cormac, in his way, is pr loyal...like...if ur in danger he will noT fight (he wouldn't do that for himself!) he'll just cower and cry and possibly scream, but he wiLL go live somewhere where there are a ton, and i mean a TON, of swans bc ur there (aine!!!!! this one is for you!!!!!!! and sure there's another dude living in his house but!!!!! its really for aine bc he kows otherwise roderick would've called him to the palace to be at his side!!!!!!!!!) and if that's not love, cormac doesn't know what is!!!!!!!!!!! ofc there ~will be heavy complaining abt this too but honestly that's just the dark side of his total openness -- like you never have to wonder if he loves you; you also never have to wonder if he's uncomfortable w the situation!!! you will hear ALL of his thoughts!!!!!!!!

no but real talk he does enjoy hanging out w ppl he cares abt!!!! that's a good time in his book!!!!! cormac is a heavily social person and he gets bored and lonely really easily so he sees basolutely no downside to this!!!!!!!!! lets spend some quality time, ppl!!!!!!

ok. finally one that cormac is NOT vibing w at all!!!!! i mean, the dude who do absolutely anything for even a crumb of validation, so its not outside the question like if cassimir called him a good boy for like bringing him smth he'd do that!!!!!!!! that's all he wants/needs!!!!!! he loves words of affirmation <333333 buT!!!!!!! he also is lazy af AND incompetent to boot like?????? he can barely comprehend this one!!!!! it freaks him out on multiple levels!!!!!!! he wiLL if you really want it but god he will suck at it and it'd probs be easier for everyone if you just did it urself -- unless you really just enjoy watching a grown man cry bc that's practically a guarantee in this scenario bc he does! not! want! to! disappoint! you! but he inevitably will alskdjflkjsdjkf and he might even start to resent you if you keep asking w/o giving enough validation (aka whole speeches etc) like with *cough*eabha*cough*

omg eilia honestly out here thinking of poor aine all the time!!!!! not being a single mom in the midst of a horrible war and subsequent conquest she's honestly soooo strong!!!!

also also i feel like as kids these two got up to all kinds of nonsesne??? eabha was being her weird lil archeologist self and dragging them into all sorts of random caves to seek out weird? random artifacts and eilia was being her pretentious intellectual self and reciting a poem abt caves as a metaphor for the dark night of the soul, and poor aine and eithne were probs tragically reduced to looking directly into the camera in a desperate bid to remain sane ;DDD

no, but eilia was def also here for good times and playing all kinds of games and such too! she loved astairan!chess/risk/model un but also like astairan!clue and such sooo much!!! i feel like maybe they also, probs often w aria and finn and fiona too (cormac always somehow got mysteriously left behind somehow oops ;D), spent a good amount of time searching for the astairan treasure map w all those missing ancient artifacts such as the stafford sword, etc!! w varying levels of srsness on this quest no doubt ;DDDD sometimes its just fun to have a good excuse to dig in the same when ur a lil kid on the beach!!!! ;DDDD and all the usual games too!!!!

honestly!!!! eilia is DEVESTATED she hasn't met clea yet!!!!! she probs asked percy to go to lorcan to bring her a lil welcome to the world gift and subsequent birthday wishes etc (eilia: its not much but i managed to tuck away one of the diamond stars our mother used to wear in her hair and its no toy but it should fetch you smth!! -- i doubt roderick is v keen on them going toy shopping after all l;akjsdflkjsdkjf and she doesn't have much else besides whatever she can smuggle etc lakdsjfkldjsf) but she ABSOLUTELY PEPPERED poor aine w questions abt the kids at the ball!! eilia: 'it is time! i must now live vicariously through you and pretend to have met my newest lil not!niece!!!!!'

also...eilia is a lil bit of a pessimist, esp given her current situation and, while she will not hear a soul give utterance to it in order to protect aine!!!, she is def in camp padraig is dead alas SOB and her whole heart just goes out to her!!!! like freaking ~rian (eilia: my most detested cousin </3) is noT who you should be having to lean on at this time!!!!!! honestly, while she's NOT at aLL glad of the circumstances!!!! she's honestly so glad that aine's family is w her bc!!!!! at least ~them she can trust!!!!! also she just hates that rian is there at all in general!!!!! freaking rian!!!!!! terrible!!!!! smdh

omg also i loooove aine having been one of eilia's ladies!!!! honestly love this girl gang <333 get them, ladies!!!! also, them all sorta getting their bearings and learning to reign together <3333 what a timeeee im emo!!!!!!!! honestly eilia was so sad to see aine go ofc but sooo happy knowing she was going off to sm joy <333333 back then she was like 'its so great that we're all getting our fairy tale endings' etc lowkey <333 (well, except eilia ~did see roderick as a major looming threat to all of that ngl even if so many countries weren't willing to hear her on that oof eilia: 'i sure do hate being right all the time' </3 ;D aklsdjfkljsdfjkdsf) but anyway getting her start at ruling w her besties at her side was EVERYTHING <333 and even now she's so so grateful for those years!!! <33333

ooc | Aine & Eilionora

Aine missed seeing Eilionora so much!!!!!! She can't imagine what it must have been like to be imprisoned by the Varmonts for so long and only just now being reunited with everyone (only to really just go back to prison because Roderick is a moron!!) She also really hopes that Eilionora finds a way out of this that doesn't involve marrying Roderick because that's such a terrible fate?????? Roderick just might be the only person in the world who Aine truly despises and she would not wish that on her best friend!!!!!

(also crying b/c I feel like Eilia has never met Clea since she was born at the end of the war and I don't think Aine would have brought her to the ball?!?!?)

I can also see where Aine might have once been one of Eilia's ladies-in-waiting, too??? But it wouldn't have been for very long and would have been when they were both young (possibly the first two years Eilia was queen or something? Before Aine left to get married?)

For the fic ask thing, Going Yard?

Hi there, Nonnie!!

So, we’re talking the scenes that I had completely locked down in my head and wrote the entire fic around just so I could get to them, right?

I had two of those for Going Yard:

The first one was the scene in Chapter Seven after Bucky’s no-hitter - from the bar with Teheran showing up to congratulate him on his game, to the parking lot after with the kiss and the call about Bucky’s grandmother, I saw every tiny piece of that scene SO clearly & wanted to know what had gotten Steve and Bucky to that point and what was going on with them.

The other one was the locker room scene in Chapter Six - the “I Rode Bodacious For Nine’ scene. (That t-shirt is a real thing btw - Brian McCann of the Atlanta Braves wore it in honor of Tim Hudson after a game against the Rockies) I just loved that t-shirt story so much & wanted to write a scene about what it would be like to be that pitcher getting hazed in the locker room like that & that sort of camaraderie & how the season would be going for a team to be that loose and having that much fun.

So, I do think that Sebastian trusts Rian to be loyal to his dad/his family, because, thus far, he hasn't given them a reason not to. Of course, all of this has become a little hazy once Sebastian arrived in Astaira, himself, and learned what it was like??? He might have even been more prone to thinking that they might actually be helping Astaira by taking it over at one point -- thanks to the exiled Staffords, haha.

It's safe to say that he doesn't believe that anymore, nor does he think that Rian is really the best for the job of being the steward of astaira!!!!

jk jk but STILL like any other of the Astairans besides Cormac and Cassimir (basically the dudes, unfortunately) would have Sebastian's vote over Rian, atp so .... yeah :(

Also, I don't think he would like it if he knew that Rian was a potential suitor for Cassandra either??? He doesn't think Rian would be a good match for her at all/knows that Cassandra would not be happy!

I do think that Sebastian might be able to put all of this aside and at least see where Rian is coming from and probably feels a little sorry for him and his situation ... but not enough to want him to take Astaira and certainly not enough for him to want him as a bro-in-law!!!

I do think he'd be friendly with him and I do think that it would come across that Rian actually does want the best for Astaira, even if he is misguided in the fact that he thinks what it needs is him??

Yeah tbh I don't think that Cassimir trying to get his hands on Lorcan is going very well at ALL but, I also feel like it will probably be fueled more when/if he marries Eithne and yeah Valentina can at least push their ambitions to extend to Lorcan, too, if nothing else (unless Sonya actually proves to be useful ;D)!

But yeah I can tell you, too, that Aine is not having it with Cassimir (it's enough that Rian is trying to take Lorcan?!?!) and honestly Aine is the sweetest person in the world until you try to mess with her kids, so Cassimir's plan of trying to develop a relationship with her son is a big NO from her and tbh she's always gonna evade Cassimir whenever he comes to visit and makes sure that Saoirse has the kids and takes them ... legit anywhere else ;DDD

I mean, once he marries Eithne and is trying to press his claim through legal means again vs just trying to manipulate a kid, he'll be less interested in Peadar then, but yeah!!!

But yeah, as such I feel like Cassimir wouldn't like Saoirse at all if he ever interacted with her under these circumstances like he'd see her as a stupid servant who is just getting in his way and likely her stupid bros have told her all this bad stuff about him!!!

(I'm also realizing, too, since we wrote the above that he probably would have remembered her, since we did establish that he and Ronan were kinda friends, so I feel like he would have known/remembered he had a sister -- even if he didn't hang out with Saoirse much?)

also ... headcannon that as little Clea learns to speak more she starts repeating stuff she heard about Cassimir from Saoirse and her mom to Cassimir's face ;DDD

So, I feel like Alaric would play it pretty close to the chest that he doesn't trust Rian because, so far, he really hasn't given them a reason NOT to trust them and Alaric wonders if there might be a day when he DOES flip loyalties and he really doesn't want to do or say anything to help push Rian along in that direction, y'know? Like he might stay loyal to the Varmonts, but if he suspects the Varmonts don't even trust him, he might be more willing to suddenly sympathize with the Astairan cause, given his heritage!

That being said ... since he doesn't trust him, I can see him jumping the gun a bit on this if he ever catches Rian doing/saying something suspicious/going against orders/etc/etc because I think, in a lot of ways, Alaric is kinda just wondering when it'll happen instead of IF.

(Like he's the emperor's own brother and he's not really on board with everything Roderick is selling y'know? ;D -- but he's still pretty committed to Roderick right now, despite everything, so he's not gonna just let Rian go and betray them ... even if Alaric ~gets~ it lmao)

He ~might~ be more vocal, however, to Rian's face about the fact that he's not really into the Rian/Cassandra marriage, if that ever comes up in convo between them? Maybe not outright, but like ... Cassandra is somewhere between a niece and a sister and a daughter to him and Rian just is not it!!!! ANYWAY!!!! bc of all of that, i think he's generally just like...stalwart w them???? he tries to be charming (i don't think he's good at this! laksjdfkljdsf), he tries to be dutiful with them (he ~is good at this!), he tries to be fair w them (he is struggling at this!) and yeah i think it all boils into smth that is frankly probably kinda off-putting and you'd probs think he's just being an ass, but he's actually trying really hard alksdjfkljdsfj

HERE'S WHERE I DEVIATE TO TALK ABT RODERICK FOR AWHILE (i swear its relevant!!!)

honestly, just to let you know what roderick's thinking, bc i imagine alaric is up on this, roderick felt that justice called for rian to be rewarded for his leal service. that's now been done!!! in general, he'd now forget abt him EXCEPT that roderick is suuuuper into ~bloodlines (as we all know) AND into male primogeniture (as we ~also know hahah), so (w the caveat that it is all now roderick's via right of conquest which roderick obv feels trumps any other right bc its roderick's right [lil side note that if someone were to sweep in and conquer any of his countries out from under him, he would NOT feel the same way abt it alksjdfkldsfjk]!!!!!!! lkajsdfkldjsf) he ~also feels that rian was the rightful king of astaira and that both makes him 1) dangerous and 2) a great potential weapon to wield against the astairan public if they don't behave!!!!!

so what does ~that mean? basically, roderick trusts him only abt as far as he can throw him!! he ~does def underestimate him bc he views him as a lackey and, bc he's bad at presenting him, doesn't really think he has any further ambitions than carving out a piece of astaira for himself
