#DM needs help

Right hi hello, I'm doing a big call for help with epic nerd stuff so I need the nerdiest nerds to hear my plea.

So I run a DnD campaign with some friends of mine, but we have a weekend away trip planned later this year, and I decided to run a 3 day long one shot campaign for us all because when else will I ever get a chance to actually play 3 sessions back to back or even finish a campaign?

Anyways, my issue is this. My BBEG is based on the SCP the Church of the Broken God, but I need more metallic and metalloid enemies to incorporate into the campaign. For those who don't know, the Broken God is all about tech and replacing organics with inorganic tech, like cyborgs or golems. All I can really think of using right now are iron golems and shield guardians as adds for my final encounter as I already have the BBEG planned out in its entirety. Does anyone have any ideas to help a guy out? I'm also open to homebrew characters (I do however need an easy way of copying said homebrew into DND Beyond because I'm poor and refuse to pay for the ability to use homebrew)

i really need help

i've been putting off making a post like this for awhile now out of shame and embarrassment about asking for help, but... it is. truly undeniable that i could use some now.

to keep up with stacking bills i've been working and taking as many commissions as much as possible. on a regular workday i'll draw for an average of 6 - 8 hours a day, and it is quickly becoming apparent my wrist can not keep up with that kind of strain. on top of that, i've got a defunct car (forcing me + my disabled household to mostly get around via public transit & walking,) cavities that are giving me jaw pain, residual mold poisoning, and taxes that drained what little savings i had managed to amass. AND. the mental strain that comes with.... all of that.

i have been making massive strides in other areas of my life- finding ways to stay positive and hold onto hope- despite my depression and anxiety surrounding the entire situation. a little boost to get me back on my paws would quite literally change my life.

i get so frustrated when people post about missing the old rpc and blame the community at large for a lack of investment or care, as if we haven't all grown older and taken on incredible amounts of responsibility in the years since we joined the rpc. some people expect us all to still be teenagers with endless amounts of free time to respond to every message and reply instantly to threads.

if you care about this community, you have to respect the fact that a majority of us are 25+ now, and work and family and health situations and other irl obligations will always come before participating in this hobby.

instead of lamenting that we'll never be the way we were back then, uplift your mutuals. interact with them. post dash games. like and comment on posts. send memes. reblog promos. engage with the writers in this community. as we all get older and our lives change, our relationship with this hobby will also change. we have to band together to keep this community safe, creative, and fun for all, regardless of how much time we can spend participating in it.

hey everyone, i just managed to barely scrape by on rent this month (was fired for putting in my 2 weeks, post here) but i desperately need new windshield wipers. i live somewhere where it snows heavily and often, and driving my car is now dangerous since my wipers are falling apart in 2 places. the cheapest i can get them is $34 from amazon, or $58 from the car dealership. i've applied for doordash so i need this to be able to work if they hire me.

except Foul Legacy thinks that you're making a nest and wants to help. he pokes and tugs at your blankets until he's looking curiously at your exhausted expression, then runs off to gather even more covers to arrange them around you. soon enough you're sitting in the middle of a rather large and soft blanket nest, with a big sparkly Abyssal moth snuggling his head into your lap and purring in delight. it's even better than being under a mound of quilts, and your tense muscles gradually relax the longer you pet Foul Legacy's hair, a stable point in a new yet familiar world.

you go to him whenever you feel overwhelmed after that.

bad takes on misha or ukraine in general that i recently saw in rtc fandom, mostly in fics

• “1920s au where misha is discriminated for being russian because ukraine wasn’t a thing yet” fun fact the ukrainian war of independence. that lasted from 1917 to 1921. was a thing. and so were people identifying as ukrainians even under occupation. for many fucking centuries.

• a fic where tamara was laid to rest in a funeral home in a city that was under russian occupation since 2014 (and also that is hundreds of km away from where she lived). yes it was explicitly stated that the fic was set in 2024

• misha violently not trusting the “western medicine”, and this being a reoccurring theme

• a ton of incorrect (russian) spellings. my eyes bleed evey time i see kiev, odessa and chernobyl. i give a pass for the last one cause literally noone knows the correct form, but the rest are so easy to google. (it’s kyiv, odesa, chornobyl)

• “she was one of the oldest mothers in the village.” the village being kyiv for some reason. the megapolis

• “misha predicted russia vs ukraine lol”, referring to a cut line where he wishes putin to eat a bag of dicks. do you guys know the war didn’t start in 2022?

• tons of comments about misha on a skit about a russian spy

i swear i’m not trying to be negative, and i did enjoy some of these fics! but i’ve also seen enough pf crap like this enough to make part two, three and twelve. educate yourself pls, guys, you don’t realise how harmful it all is
