Bad Batch/His Dark Materials AU!

Here’s The Batch with their daemons! Be warned I have so many thoughts behind this AU. So leave now if you don’t want to read my absolute essay of a lore dump.

My idea for this AU is that all the clones tend to have dogs daemons, both in line with the whole ‘clones are the same’ idea and ‘dogs who follow orders’ stereotype, but also this idea in this universe that the ‘Vode’ are a “pack” of sorts. Generally the clones’ daemons are dog breeds with pointy ears. And battalions usually get made up of clones with same dog breeds as daemons (the 501st has mostly huskies/malamutes and the 212th has mostly German Shepards/Belgian Malanois for example). All of this to say, Clone Force 99 stands out even more in this AU because of their daemons. “Regs” who have daemons that deviate from the ‘normal’ type of daemon clones’ have, get terminated. Though for clones to have daemons that settle into something ‘abnormal’ is rare to begin with. So The Bad Batch having not-dog daemons AND being allowed to live is kinda the main reason of tension between The Batch and the ‘Regs’.

Some more details about TBB in this AU: 

Because Ghost is albino, she has sensitive eyes and bad vision in general. Which is an interesting duality to Crosshair’s exceptional eyesight. 

All through out s1-3 of TBB I imagine Omega’s daemon (Delta) hasn’t settled, and she shifts between a bird of prey and different dogs breeds. And Delta often will shift into the same animal as the other Batchers’ daemons when interacting with them. It’s not until Omega escapes Tantis with Crosshair that Delta settles into a Timber Wolf.

Echo’s daemon (Mimic) was originally a grey husky, but after being captured by techno Union she starts to shift into different dog breeds. This is very unparalleled, it’s very rare for daemons to shift again after they originally settle. And it’s NEVER happened to a clone before. Its not until Echo joins The Bad Batch that Mimic settles again as an Australian Cattle Dog. Though it takes even longer than that for Echo and Mimic to become comfortable with each other again.

I Just realized I should just post the lore dumps instead of reblogging the original posts with them.

So here’s some of the plot related stuff/thoughts I have for my Starwars/Daemon AU in relation to The Bad Batch!

WIP Wednesday means I finally start going at something I’ve been stewing on for a while: characters from The Bad Batch as characters from The Blackfyre Rebellion, a conflict that takes place between House of the Dragon and Game of Thrones.

It all started because, upon watching the first episode of TBB, I realized that Daddy Warcrimes Crosshair was a PERFECT Brynden Rivers/Bloodraven. Longer hair, medieval clothes, and boom. That's him. Pack it up, we're done. HBO, I'm waiting for my contract as a showrunner, thanks.

And Hunter? Let's give him the same wardrobe, drop the bandanna, color his hair silver-gold and his eyes purple and....there. There's the beautiful Targaryen bastard prince Daemon Blackfyre in all of his glory.

Oh and these guys are half-brothers, as is Daeron II, who will be played by Tech, and Aegor Rivers/Bittersteel, who is Wrecker, for sure.

The ladies? Their sisters, Daenerys (not the one from GOT) and Shiera Seastar are absolutely Omega and Emerie Karr. With Targaryen coloring. Errrybody getting a silver wig here.

I'm coloring them all in and will post as soon as I can. I needed something out of my Expanse/multiverse world and this was perfect.

Rose had just run away from the base Zwart sent her, she believes that she was sent to help someone named Knightmaremon. But she was tired of being on the wrong side, so she ran away to help the digi destined.

She had just learned that she could’ve been like her half brother, Riley, if Kongoumon found her instead of Zwart. She was walking on the path where she met Nick for the first time, if she makes it there, then she’ll probably be able to find her way to their house.

“Rose, watch out!” Terriermon shouted.

As she turned around she saw a Daemon jumping out at them.

Digivolve

Golden Rapidmon stood there to block the hit, he could hold his own, but he couldn’t for long. He was doing pretty well until Daemon hit him with a tower of fire, sending him back.

“Rose?” Riley said, confused about why she was here. His Gammamon ready to join in on the fight.

Digivolve

Canoweissmon flew at Daemon, also being a lower level than Daemon. Canoweissmon gathered all of its pure energy into a fireball then fired it at Daemon. But he just knocked it aside and jumped at Canoweissmon.

DNA Digivolve!!

Imperialdramon stood where Canoweissmon and Golden Rapidmon once were. Imperialdramon plants its feet firmly and fires a powerful laser obliterating Daemon instantly.

“Rose, Riley, are you okay?” Imperialdramon asks them, devolving back into Gammamon and Terriermon.

“We’re okay.” Rose says, picking up Terriermon.

“Perhaps if you had bells to spare,” it replied as the God Hunter unlocked the doors to the building. “It would be easier for you to know where I am. Do I not have a scent?”

The God Hunter turned to it then inhaled deeply through his nose. “Not exactly but your clothing has the stale stench of beasts. It’s old and overpowered by the saturation of mountain air.”

Daemon hummed as Kyrie entered the Workshop then began to light the many candles. It observe how the man navigated the space without sight. He had adapted the structures around him to meet his needs.

I've been needing to work on Daemon and Kyrie's relationship for some time so, that's what I've been working on today at least.
