Deslumbrante. Simplemente deslumbrante. Me ha parecido una genialidad, una absoluta genialidad. Si a una imaginación deslumbrante le aúnas una gran capacidad de trabajo, un conocimiento del medio y un equipo fabuloso de colaboradores, el resultado no puede ser más que óptimo.
Y este es el caso de esta comedia. Ligera, como todas las suyas, pero con muchísimo fondo. Tiene todo lo que se requiere para ser un gran éxito. Y más allá del éxito de público o crítica, estoy convencido que el tiempo tratará bien a esta obra.
Me ha gustado mucho Owen Wilson, consigue naturalidad y personalidad. Siempre le tenía como un actor cómico, pero de ese tipo de comedias de risa, no el planteamiento intelectual que pretende con esta obra. Su novia es Rachel McAdams, que funciona como frívola novia. Tiene un montón de colaboraciones mágicas: Kathy Bates como Gertrude Stein, Nina Arianda como Carol Bates; Thérèse Bourou-Rubinsztein como Alice B. Toklas; la esposa del expresidente de Francia Carla Bruni-Sarkozý como la guía histórica en el Museo Rodin; Adrien Brody como Salvador Dalí, Alison Pill como Zelda Fitzgerald; Kurt Fuller y Mimi Kennedy como los padres de la novia; Yves Heck como Cole Porter, Daniel Lundh como Juan Belmonte, y, sobre todo, Marion Cotillard como Adriana, verdaderamente fascinante en el papel.
