Document of Interest: Medicine and Drugs
Control Drugs:
- Amnestics - Utilized to make the consumer forget
- Mnestics - Utilized to make the consumer remember
- Agnostics - makes consumers more open to otherwise incomprehensible anomalous phenomena. Often given to new Foundation personnel in very small dosages to keep them from developing trauma or insanity.
Medicine:
- Pernes - revolutionary Foundation medicine that puts the white blood cells in overdrive, allowing them to find cancer cells and devour then more effectively. Once the white blood cells start eating the cells they quickly start growing and burst, flooding nutrients into the body, mainly restoring what was lost to the cancer cells. Normally takes an hour to take effect and an additional hour for all cancer in the body to be removed with a 75% success rate. Should only be taken once a month as even taking it daily can lead to various vitamin overdosage and resulting in several complications such as kidney stones, stomach cramps, and other such complications. Exists in pill form and recommended that all Foundation staff take once a year, once a month if a serious form of cancer develops. Especially helpful to those with unstable regenerative abilities that can increase the chances of cancer.
- Santio - A medicine used by Foundation staff to clean the blood of any toxins and even force sickle cells to regenerate into normal blood cells. Especially useful for blood diseases that are impossible to cure or cause blood cells to form incorrectly. Also useful in anomalous diseases that eat blood cells or hide within the blood and cannot be extracted or cured by any other method. Exists as an injection form.
- Certium - a revolutionary Foundation medicine that can be used to repair damaged brain cells, reverse the damage of a bruised brain, and can even cure Alzheimer's of Stage 3 or lower. If the dosage is right, it is possible to even cure Stage 4 but unfortunately, Stage 5 and higher is still uncurable. Exists in pill form.
- Remate - an anomalous Foundation medicine that can revitalize the heart and make all its damaged parts wither away. Essentially reversing the age of the heart making it stronger and last longer than before. Perfect for healing the heart after irreversible damage caused by injury, common, and/or uncommon heart diseases. Exists in pill form, different version exists for lungs, liver, and kidneys.
- Durane - Foundation medicine used to stop the flow of blood of a patient, temporarily ceasing all functions of the body so that the doctor can stop them from bleeding to death. Extremely useful in keeping patients form getting unnecessary damage or infections during emergency surgery. Exists as emergency injection form.
- Turbune - Amazing Foundation medicine that strengthens the immune system exponentially allowing it to develop antibodies much faster to combat bacteria, viruses, parasites, and fungus much faster than a normal human ever could. Essentially someone with Turbune can be coughed on directly by hundreds of sick people and their immune system will kill all of the exposed diseases instantly. However, it's still possible for anomalous diseases to either overpower Turbune or perform much faster than it. As such its always recommended to view Turbune as a vaccine that should be taken before infection rather than a cure that can be taken after infection. Exists in both injection and pill form.
- Consumos - Complex medicine that forces the body to grow anomalous cells in the body. These cells will recognize the proper bone structure of the body and search for broken bone fragments and devour them, growing in population and size as a result. Once all bone pieces not in its correct place has been consumed the cells will flow to the parts of the bones where these pieces fell off from. Once the broken parts of the bone are found the cells will kill and condense themselves into new bone repairing it entirely. The cells are able to work so fast that the process never takes any longer than 10 minutes. 30 minutes being common for extreme cases. Exist as emergency injection form.
- Immortap - immortality drug created specifically for Foundation perks provided by Protocol "The Burdon We Share". So long as the user takes them once a week their cells will develop faster than they die allowing the user to live forever young and healthy. However, it only halts aging, their healing factors stay the same as the average human so anything that's commonly fatal can still kill them.
- duplexura - anomalous medicine that causes all platelets in the body to multiply rapidly when around open wounds ensuring healing happens much faster. Minor side effect of blood clot when there are no wounds on the body. Should only be used when there are cuts on the body. Exists in pill form.
- sangutem - medicine that increases the among of blood in the body and increases its flow. Is only to be used when the taker has had massive blood loss and has all their wounds patched so they don't bleed out profusely. Exists in injection form.
- sanatem - made form Foundation cultivated aloe vera and many other Foundation herbs. Meant to be the ultimate quick medicine that is used to disinfect and heal wounds. When placed on a bandage and placed over a wound it can quickly stop bleeding and make the skin heal faster. Though it's still recommended to rely more on other Foundation medicines. No known side effects but it has been confirmed at least 0.2% of the population is allergic and that unfortunately includes Foundation staff. So, it's best to confirm with patients first.
Weaponized Drugs:
- Rejupus - Anomalous drug that takes 10 minutes to take effect, once done, it consumes all the waist and nonessential fat of the body, converting it into an anomalous vitamin. This vitamin allows the body regenerate from small wounds and gunshots, the consumer run faster and much stronger, and go on without rest or need of the restroom. Amount of dosage determines longevity of the effect thought the recommended maximum is 24 hours. It is also recommended to take it after consuming a large meal. Not following either recommendation will lead to bad side effects such as muscle degradation, complications in the intestines, and massive fatigue after use.
- Demonarcotics - Performance enhancing drugs made from demons, each pill increases power of the consumer by 10%. However, its recommended to never take more than 2 as doing so makes the consumer becomes more demonic and aggressive even to allies the more pills they take. After taking about 5 pills their skin or eyes change color, and they grow horns; they are to no longer be considered human. Some are able to survive 7 but it's still recommended to never go over 2 and only take 4 in extreme situations.
- Wisp - anomalous drugs that allow the consumer to spit out laser blasts, capable of incinerating an entire person. Can become addictive for obvious reasons, must not be taken daily as doing so can lead to degradation of the bones and brain over time as well as the consumer emitting dangerous levels of Aspect Radiation.
- Evotari - Also known as Evolution's Nectar or SCP-ADK-3. Modified and refined to be less addictive and have no chance of mutagenic harmful effects like SCP-ADK-2. Created in a variety of version that allow the user to gain different abilities all of which are temporary to further ensure no long-term mutations will occur in the body. Such abilities given by Evotari include fire manifestation, lightning manifestation, ice manipulation, insect manifestation, biology manipulation, energy manifestation, energy manipulation, and other more specific abilities. Unfortunately, effects will permanently change the body and thus its recommended to only take one as a last resort.
- Faltem - An anomalous drug that can make a person seem dead when in reality their body is simply shut down and can easily be restarted like a machine. Physically no different to death as the organs don't move but the brain is still very active. The consumer can't move but can still comprehend everything around them, even clearer than before. Depending on the dosage can work anywhere of 5 minutes to 2 hours, any larger dosage can lead to irreversible organ damage and even death. Commonly used by MTF units in extremely specific covert operations or as fake suicide attempts to trick the enemy into thinking they won.
- Ianucum - Anomlaous drug that once consumed allows a person to teleport wherever they want. It's always recommended it's a place they've been before as teleporting anywhere else can lead to disasters consequences. Should never be taken more than once a day as taking two in the same 24 hours can cause the patches of skin to suffer necrosis and increase chances of cancer development. This gets worse the more the user takes these pills within 24 hours.
- Metamorphia - Anomalous Drug created from SCP-071, allows a person to turn into the physical representation of a target's sexual desires. The user must be looking at the target in some way in order for the drug to take effect and not break contact for an entire minute. The drug only lasts for a week though it's possible to extend it via daily dosage after the week is over.
- Reversunal - An anomalous drug that reverses a person to their previous state. A single pill resets a person by 24 hours, two pills reset a person by 48 hours, and three do 72 hours. Mainly used to get rid of the side effects of certain anomalous drugs or as a last resort treatment to help get rid of the hazardous effects of anomalies. Unfortunately resets the memories as well as such is heavily restricted by the Ethics Committee.
Potions:
- "Love" potion - Created by the DTASMW, used on captured Persons of Interest to influence them to talk about everything. Helps greatly for interrogations.
- Elemental potions - allows the drinker to manifest elements with amount and intensity based on the amount of potion taken. Much easier to produce than Evotari and thus is more widespread among MTF units and field researchers. However not as powerful and only lasts for about 10 minutes at maximum.
- Fatigue potion - Helps get rid of drowsiness from sleep and also relieve pain and fatigue from exercising or anything else that exerts the body. Daily consumption can help keep a person awake for two days however its recommended to rest afterwards as the body still needs actual sleep.
- Hunger potion - Famous among Foundation staff that are busy with experiments and don't want to waste time eating. A single bottle is enough to keep someone form needing food for an entire day. Again, its recommended to never rely on this potion for more than two days as the body still needs actual food.
- Sense potion - Highly favored by MTF units on dangerous missions, comes in five versions for the five senses. Each one only improves a single sense as having all five improved at once can greatly overwhelm the user. Allows the user to see and notice things they never could before.
- Vision potions - Comes in a wide selection for granting users different types of sight such as heat vision, x-ray vision, ultraviolet vision, nocturnal vision, and many more. In high demand from MTF units, Foundation researchers, agents, and even administrative staff.

Previous / Next Beginning (Gen 8)
Image transcripts (PT & ENG):
Callie: Estou exausta, Touma…
Touma: (Gritando) Doutora! Enfermeira! Por favor, alguém ajude! Pra onde diabos foi todo mundo?? Meu Deus, espera aqui, vou chamar alguém!

Callie was transferred to another room and felt drowsy and disoriented from the medication they had given her. Touma, on the other hand, was very worried. He didn’t quite understand the hospital protocols, so he couldn’t relax with the whole situation.
(Modern Medicine - This antibiotic is making Callie feel nauseous... There's a price to pay for improvement...)
Touma: How are you feeling?
Callie: I'm exhausted, Touma... Is there any way I could get a new epidural?
Touma: (Worried) I... I don’t know... Should I call someone?
Callie: I think... it would be a good idea.
(Exhausted - Callie's contractions are getting worse as the baby approaches. Each contraction feels worse than the last. She’s overwhelmed by the intense pain and struggling to focus on anything. Every thought is consumed by how much her body is hurting)
Suddenly, Callie's pain seemed to have tripled, accompanied by bleeding, sending both of them into a panic.
(Labor Pains - Callie is agonizing! She can't think of anything other than the immense pain she's feeling. Sleeping is practically impossible now, let alone walking around. If Callie has a partner to accompany her through the delivery, it’s better to call them now!)
Callie: What’s happening? I think... I’m bleeding? (Desperate) What’s going on? What if the baby... Touma!!
(Pregnancy Issue? - Something seems to be wrong with Callie's pregnancy... she suddenly started feeling strong cramps, and it looks like she's bleeding)
Touma: (Shouting) Doctor! Nurse! Please, someone help! Where the hell did everyone go?? Oh my God, wait here, I’ll go call someone!

Contest Winning Halloween Costume
Tumblr media
My name is Derek, and I everyone around here knows my name and gives me as much space as I demand.
Halloween was coming up and I had secured an invitation to a highly exclusive party, obviously invite only, filled with hot chicks, free drinks, and the best part was the costume contest with a $10,000 prize. The rules were simple, “Best Costume Wins, No Holds Barred.” I had an idea, I’d need my buddy’s help, but he wasn’t invited to the party and I’d cut him in on the prize money if it work.
My plan was to go to the party in a different body, the ultimate costume. My buddy’s dad worked for a government research company that had perfected the technology. Before I even started looking for a body, I made sure all the body swap trope shit wouldn’t be a problem, like it wasn’t a one way trip, there wasn’t an issue with a body swapping back with itself, if the machine was destroyed we wouldn’t be trapped and there were other machines capable of doing the swap in case one malfunctioned.
Satisfied, I went about finding the best, most different than my own, body. I found it as I was leaving the gas station, he was a guy asking for change on the side of the road. He had to be close to sixty, his clothes were dirty and looked greasy, and I could smell him as I approached. I gave him a $20 and asked if he wanted to make more. He thanked me, but looked suspicious and asked what I meant. I explained my plan and offered him $200 to swap, and an extra $250 if I won using his body. I explained that it was safe, that all the safety protocols were in place, that there was no risk. He just laughed and said “it seems like if anything happens, I don’t need to worry about being safe, I’d be making out pretty well.” I guess he was right haha.
We went to the lab and initiated the swap, and it went off without a hitch. I walked out of the room in his old, smelly, dirty body. When I got to the party, I was stopped at the door (which is a good sign that I’d be winning the contest, since no one recognized me), but I presented the invite and explained who I was, so I was let in. I was definitely in a great position to win, no one recognized me, and when the host questioned me, I pointed out he specifically said “no holds barred,” which made him laugh and reply “you’re right bro, you’re right.” I spent the night drinking (which didn’t do much to me since I guess this hobo has a high tolerance), hitting on chicks, who weren’t into it since I looked gross. When the contest winner was announced, it was no surprise I won. The host even said “I know it’s seems like a cheat, but I did say ‘no holds barred,’ which I meant to mean much less drastic measures, but still, his WAS the best costume, no one would ever guess it was him.”
I collected my winnings and decided to leave soon after. Chicks were ignoring me, alcohol didn’t work, other guys avoided me saying I smelled, and this body ached all over with age and years of abuse on the streets. I went back to meet my body and swap back. He wasn’t where we agreed to meet and I freaked out, he was supposed to wait for me and not leave. However my fear subsided as he walked over, saying he didn’t expect me back for a while. Turns out while I was gone, he’d gone to the gym with my buddy who had helped us swap, my body said on their way back he stopped to get a drink from the store, and apologized for using $5 from my wallet. I was so relieved and just laughed, I told him not to worry about the $5.
Tumblr media
We went back to the lab and got ready. I gave my body the money and kept his $250 in his pants, and he placed my money in my jacket pocket, since after the swap we’d both have our money. The machine whirled and flashed, but nothing happened. We tried it again, I felt it working, but nothing happened. I asked what the fuck was wrong, and my buddy’s dad said there was a problem with my body, it was resisting the swap. This homeless fuck was preventing us from getting back. He promised he wasn’t doing anything, he was ready to swap back, he knew it was only fair.
My buddy’s dad ran some tests and said he figured out the problem, turned to me and said “it doesn’t look good,” before looking at my body and asking “do you want to swap back?” “Of course, I have to give him his body back, it’s only right,” my body replied. “That’s not what I asked. Do you WANT to swap back or would you rather stay like that?” “Well, I mean, I obviously like this body more. I’m younger, better looking, I don’t smell, and people don’t walk away from me to avoid me. But I know I can’t keep it.” “See Luke, that’s the problem. He is willing to return your body, he’s consenting to it, but he doesn’t WANT to swap back. The machine wasn’t calibrated for a forced swap, and we can’t change that mid swap. Since his mind doesn’t want to swap, the machine won’t do it.”
Tumblr media
That was almost a year ago. That fucker has been in my body all that time. He has been living as Luke Potter, the hot jock, the big man on campus. He has been hooking up with everyone he can find, guy or girl, he’s been doing a little modeling and even became an OF star and gay findom.
Tumblr media
And I’m stuck as Derek Grainger, the old, fat, drunk hobo. I developed a huge reputation at the homeless camp under the bridge. I’m ready and willing to fight any motherfucker that gets in my way. No one believes me about some swap, they think I’m just an old alcoholic that imagined it.

Hi Lydia-Marc!
I want to reach out to you because of something you posted. Usually when I reach out like this, I get blocked, I’m hoping you’ll be willing to listen.
You said that “Zionism is a colonial movement that supports building an ethno-national state for Jewish people on top of Palestine, by any means necessary.” And then linked to Al Jazeera as proof.
I want to start by pointing out that Al Jazeera is the state media of Qatar, a nation that in its state approved textbooks teaches that the Protocols of the Elders of Zion (a debunked soviet antisemitic conspiracy theory) are true, as well as teaching that Jews are evil, and that the holocaust isn’t real/the holocaust was actually a Jewish plot to further their nefarious goals (https://efile.fara.gov/docs/3492-Informational-Materials-20200917-70.pdf). I am asking that you acknowledge that if that is what’s in state run textbooks, then the state media outlet might also be biased against Jews.
What you state Zionism is sound more like Kahanism (https://imeu.org/article/fact-sheet-meir-kahane-the-extremist-kahanist-movement ), a movement that most Jews (and most Jews – about 80-90% depending on the survey – are Zionist) thoroughly denounce. The founder and his political party were actually banned from participating in the Israeli government because most Jews found the movement so disgusting.
Zionism is actually a land back movement that supports self-determination for Jews in their ancestral homeland. (https://www.britannica.com/topic/Zionism ) A lot of leftists have decided to try to change the definition of the word into something more like what you said, but it’s a Jewish word to describe a Jewish movement, and non-Jews don’t get to define our words for us.
Applying a colonizer/colonized lens to the area is not really useful, but if you must, then please recognize that we have archeological evidence of Jews in the southern Levant going back over 3000 years (https://www.nytimes.com/2021/05/28/opinion/jewish-history-israel.html ), genetic evidence that even the whitest looking Ashkenazi Jews have middle eastern genetic markers (https://www.pnas.org/doi/full/10.1073/pnas.100115997 ), and written evidence from Rome talking about the Jews living in the area. In fact, we have maps showing that the area that is now called Palestine, used to be called Iudea (https://www.worldhistory.org/image/269/map-of-the-roman-empire-in-125-ce/ ) prior to Rome conquering the area, extracting its wealth, and taking the native, Jewish, population as slaves back to the empire (https://www.worldhistory.org/The_Bar-Kochba_Revolt/ , https://www.britannica.com/event/Siege-of-Jerusalem-70 ). The people who identify as Palestinian are the descendants of the people who filled the void left by Rome’s abduction of the Jews, and the descendants of the actual colonizers from the Arabian peninsula who showed up hundreds of years after the majority of Jews had already been evicted. The area has been colonized repeatedly, just not the way you claim.
I, personally, as a Zionist, am in favor of a two state solution, and I know many other Zionists that feel the same way. Palestinians have been living on the land a long time, and should have a state, but there is no denying that the area is the Jewish homeland, and they should be allowed a state of their own as well. It is frustrating to see so many people decide that self-determination (a human right!) is something that should be denied to the Jews, simply because they were conquered so long ago that everyone considers the colonizer’s presence to be “normal.” Apparently, somewhere along the line, Jewish indigeneity expired.
I hope you’re still reading this. I hope you’re willing to listen. If you have any questions, or want to discuss this further, I’m happy to talk.
Anyway,

Chamber drabble, since this post the spanish one i didnt write anything about this agent, so this is kinda short btw, but i rlly like this one
FIRTS IMPRESION
It was not late, but not early either, it was the time when the television would be full of old and repetitive soap operas, and at that time you just wanted to eat something light and relax your mind.
The protocol began to demand too much, more than you would want or could bear. The missions were three times as frequent as they normally were, the fact that the “mirror” universe could attack them at any moment was disturbing, and, for that reason, they preferred to spend more than their human resources to protect the world, or whatever. remained of it from its ruins
You walked calmly and feeling your heels heavy, as if you were climbing a ladder. You headed to the kitchen, waiting for the solitude in it so you could have something warm or maybe hot, eat something light or some sweets.
you began to overthink slightly as you walked, preparing yourself for a forced social situation, when you entered the kitchen it was empty, almost empty.
Chamber was sitting in a chair as he hummed in an almost intangible voice, a soothing melody, enough to make you sigh silently in tranquility, Chamber so far had not been a bother, just a little cocky and you could handle that.
So you walked to the kitchen and started making yourself some tea, smiling softly at the soft humming of the Frenchman.
“Salut ma belle” you heard chamber speak to you as he stood up straight in his seat “hello” you looked at him and gave him a small polite smile, instantly returning to your tea.
Talking to Chamber was a strange thing, you had had a very short list of encounters with him; 1— his introduction to the protocol, 2— The first time you saw him in the kitchen, 3— The second time you saw him in the kitchen and 4— The current time, when you see him in the kitchen. Your abilities and Chamber's did not fit together, they were both there with different objectives in the mission, which by not combining there was no reason to have missions together, and for that reason it is serious the 4th time you would see it, because of speaking were just cordial greetings.
You thought for a moment about your next mission, it was known that it would be stressful, it would last about three weeks and only 5 days ago you had returned from a previous mission, you were with all the fatigue on your shoulders and it was overwhelming, which It was obvious, your dark circles, messy hair, and the fact that you only spent time taking naps and training were only signs of your fatigue and dedication to the protocol.
In your thoughts you stopped feeling, closing your eyes for a few seconds, and by the time you opened them it was due to the sudden surprise of boiling water on your feet, stumbling backwards and then falling back to the ground
“What-!”, you heard Chamber, who basically jumped from his place and ran towards you, crouching down to your level and gently grabbing your arms, gently pulling you up so that your feet didn't touch the floor. “Did you get too burned? Did you hit your head?” He asked worriedly as his hand held your waist and lifted you up to sit in what a few moments ago was his place.
“I tripped, I'm fine… thank you” he nodded and caressed the side of your cheek “tu dois te reposer” he whispered and grabbed his cup of coffee, now holding it in front of your face “Here, take what you need, if you want you can.” "I'll prepare more," he smiled softly, that look of concern never leaving his eyes. You nodded weakly and then drank the coffee, Chamber leaving your side to clean the tea from the floor and the broken glass from the cup, being careful and giving you worried glances and of affirmation towards your place.
You appreciated his gesture and kindness, you needed it more than anything in your overused work position, you sighed deeply and smiled. Maybe when you return from your next mission you should go back to the kitchen, and this time talk to Chamber in longer dialogues, it wasn't so bad, I had given you coffee, how bad can it be?

C.,
Tumblr media
Tu m’as demandé un bonjour, chaque matin.
Tu n’as pas à me prouver ton besoin,

The Bad Batch Reacción episodios 10 y 11, temporada 3.
"Gifted" 🥺
Noo, maldito aqualish, ¿a dónde vas?
Me quiero morir 😭😭🤲🏼
Ah, es Bane. ¡La música!
"Eva". Oh, es una niña.
"When I'll be going home?" 😭 Las caras de Emery con cada cosa…
"set to stund." ¡Hombre, por favor! ¡Que tengan que especificar eso…! ¡Ay ay!
"I was following protocol." Good soldiers follow orders… 😭 ¿Qué les hicieron a esos comandos?
"They're children. Like I was… Was your plan to discard them too?"
"the trandoshan" "she" Cid…
"You sure you wanna leave these behind?" "Pabu was the first place that felt like a home." 😭😭😭😭 Ahora sí que estoy llorando. 😭😭😭 Y también deja a Lula 😭😭
ESPERAA!!! AAHH SIIII
"This way, a piece of us iis still here." 😭😭
Wrecker corre 😥
¡Ayyy Wrecker! 🥺🥺😢
Ahí van mis niños soldados a ayudar 🫡🥺
"but not the third"… Why? Who?
Ohh Crosshair 🥺
Mi niña!! 😭😫

I get your point about people generally failing to adequately connect Me/CFS and long covid in articles in the lay press, but I don't think there's actually been any research to describe amyloid-containing deposits in skeletal muscle in ME/CFS? So, there is totally research that suggests that similar things are going on (like Systrom has an iCPET study which makes this point—and on an epidemiological level, Akiko Iwasaki has a great & compelling paper about post-viral-conditions)—but I do not actually think that this is one of the facts that we can say this for! Different pathophysiological pathways can cause the same end symptoms. There are actually so many different hypotheses for muscle dysfunction in ME/CFS (here's a new one I just found on pubmed from the Scheibenbogen lab which is looking at the β-AdR and mitochondria: doi: 10.1186/s12967-021-02833-2)
As a side note: if it's the Systrom mito drug you're talking about (and he's one of the ME/CFS researchers in the NPR article, so they are finding some) I think I read somewhere that the trial was stopped because an interim analysis showed no significant effect?
It is 100% true that GET (PACE-trial-style GET, or something like the Levine Protocol for POTS) is getting recommended erroneously for people with ME/CFS-like-long covid but I do think we're making progress because pretty much every major news article includes quotes like the Systrom one in this piece ("Post-exertional malaise is a unique symptom in these disorders and is not a feature of deconditioning," he says. "You cannot simply ask these patients to go to the gym and fix the problem.").
Full Transcript at the link; 3-minute listen.
Quote:
By taking biopsies from long COVID patients before and after exercising, scientists in the Netherlands constructed a startling picture of widespread abnormalities in muscle tissue that may explain this severe reaction to physical activity.
Among the most striking findings were clear signs that the cellular power plants, the mitochondria, are compromised and the tissue starved for energy.
"We saw this immediately and it's very profound," says Braeden Charlton, one of the study's authors at Vrije University in Amsterdam.
The tissue samples from long COVID patients also revealed severe muscle damage, a disturbed immune response, and a buildup of microclots.
"This is a very real disease," says Charlton. "We see this at basically every parameter that we measure."

AI-powered platform personalizes cancer treatment in real-world trial using digital twins
Tumblr media
- By InnoNurse Staff -
Researchers at the National University of Singapore (NUS) have successfully used an AI-driven platform, CURATE.AI, to personalize cancer treatment dosing in a real-world clinical trial.
Led by Professor Dean Ho, the study involved 10 patients with advanced solid tumors whose treatment was tailored using “digital twins”—AI models created from individual patient data, including cancer biomarkers CEA and CA125.
The platform dynamically adjusted chemotherapy doses based on how biomarkers responded to treatment. Clinicians accepted 97.2% of the AI-recommended doses, with some patients receiving optimal doses up to 20% lower than standard, suggesting potential for better outcomes and reduced side effects or costs.
This marks a significant move from population-based, static treatment protocols to real-time, personalized dosing, with implications not only in oncology but also in other fields like immunotherapy and hypertension. The research, published in npj Precision Oncology, lays the groundwork for larger clinical trials and broader applications of AI in precision medicine.

Understanding What's Behind the Disorder [Part 2]
A lot of the time, when discussing multiple disorders, each one is discussed individually. It is rare for them to be discussed in conjunction with one another, let alone how it affects a person. So, what about trauma within someone with Autism Spectrum Disorder? What does that look like, and how does identifying the comorbidities help? As with autism, there are also biases derived from media on what someone who lives with Post-traumatic Stress Disorder “looks” like. There is also an unfortunate stigma that surrounds the label of PTSD, leaving a sour taste in the mouths of those who hear of it. Someone diagnosed with PTSD can be labeled by society as a dangerous or unpredictable person based on the types of flashback episodes and the response(s) to them. Sometimes, people with PTSD are even told that they are the ones to blame for their disorder and that they simply need to “get over” their trauma. Post-traumatic stress Disorder (PTSD), according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 5th Edition (DSM-5), is diagnosed based on exposure to trauma and four main symptoms: intrusion, avoidance, negative conditions and mood, and arousal. PTSD is a disorder that someone may get after either experiencing a traumatic event themselves or witnessing one. These can be events such as severe natural disasters, assault or abuse, or even after the death of someone close. A person with post-traumatic stress disorder is likely to have reoccurring nightmares or images of the event they witnessed and can have a reaction to viewing depictions of similar situations that result in them dissociating and being entirely unaware of their physical surroundings. People with PTSD may also avoid certain places, smells, or even media that have the potential to remind them of the traumatic event. Things like this have the potential to leave sufferers feeling restricted in their lives, playing into a sense of hopelessness and a fear of never healing.  For me, PTSD has the tendency to make me feel as though I am a broken piece of machinery incapable of repair, even after almost two decades of therapeutic intervention. Reading that back, though, I acknowledge the amount of growth I have sustained over the years. PTSD has the potential to cause depersonalization and/or derealization, causing the sufferer to have a detached sense of self and/or a detachment from reality. Not everyone with PTSD develops these symptoms, however, these symptoms lead to lapses in memory and a distorted perception of time.
