kinda fucked up how i keep mentioning how im not eating enough and not once have any of the doctors i've seen has brought up how much weight i've lost. i lost 8 lbs in the past 5 weeks, and 4 of those were just last week, between doctor's visits... i've seen it though. i get measured before every visit. its printed on the front page of my after visit summary.
but i'm fat, so i guess i should expect that. even when i tell my mom about it, prefacing it with the lack of appetite, she says its "good!"

I'm building a medical shows wiki as a reference resource for those of us who enjoy crossover fics between medical shows.
If anyone's inclined towards wiki-building, would be great to have some additional hands on board to get things set up.

I wish I could also write out something about Shidou, but like, my opinions are shaped based on combination of other people's takes, and it feels as if everyone kind of just stopped analyzing him after people figured out that his crime is related to asking the families of brain dead patients for permission to use the organs of said brain dead patients. After that, no one really went to look into his character deeper, he kinda just got boiled down to as "oh, a surgeon guy", "guy with family", "guy who takes organs", "guy who wanted to be guilty sooo bad and then got innocent twice in a row".
#I can only shape out the vague ideas I have on him but I can't really formulate it properly#something something How he only started feeling the desire to live once he was deemed useful#once his medical knowledge wasn't just taken for granted but as actually important to ensure survival#because I assume in real life doctors nurses and surgeons don't get appreciated often and their efforts go unnoticed#something something How he also assigns more value to life of certain patients and less to others#and how that assignment of certain lives having more value than others was also applied to others and not just patients#including himself. before his medical knowledge was deemed important‚ he likely thought of his own life as having less value#and that for that reason he wanted to die because he thought of himself as not valuable and therefore not deserving of life#especially after he tried to keep a loved one alive but failed. He failed to keep the one life he thought of as valuable alive#And in process also took away lives of the ones other families also thought of as valuable.#The guilt eating him away and making him feel as if he doesn't have the right to exist. And then he gets voted innocent#And is given a reason to live. Maybe his life did have value‚ to keep others alive as well.#I wonder how he'd take being voted guilty in T2 tho. He didn't hear voices during T1 so he'd have no way of knowing he'll be voted guilty.#He'd continue practicing medicine‚ thinking of himself as important and valuable for saving lives.#Only to suddenly be put in restraints before trial 3 is about to begin. Do you think he'd feel betrayed similarly to how Kotoko did?#You told him what he was doing is good and important even‚ but now you're stopping him?#On other hand tho‚ it would have kept him alive since that's what Amane wanted. But how would he know that?#He didn't take Amane's threats seriously (he in general doesn't seem to take anyone younger than himself seriously tbh)#He likely would believe that Amane wouldn't have caused any issue.#It's not like he'd be able to see into the future and know that in this reality he gets killed by her.#Also‚ I feel like Mahiru was doomed no matter what. He gets killed and she dies from lack of care. He lives and she dies cause of his care.#And I think that'd especially fuck him up then. Immediately trigger the memory of how much he tried to keep his loved one alive#only for them to die in the end anyways. You know that audio where he's crying-laughing?#Repeating that “she's alive”? Sure‚ that could be about his wife. But what if we ended up hearing him like that but about Mahiru?#Especially if T2 restraints are also accompanied by voices (but I guess we'll find out that with Muu and Kotoko)#If he heard voices after guilty verdict‚ do you think he'd feel as if he was hearing Mahiru's voice?#Ignoring what is being said and only focusing on the fact that he feels as if he hears her‚ therefore meaning she's definitely alive#T2 really was a lose/lose situation#You either kept him alive but caused him mental and physical torture by voting him Guilty#Or you continued to give him a will to live but have that end up in him getting killed by voting him Innocent

babyfever!satoru who nearly explodes when your baby bump starts to come in. He buys you a ton of little crop tops to show it off even though it is winter and you’d rather not walk around with your swollen belly out.
babyfever!satoru splurges on your doctors appointment (personal and related to the baby). He makes sure any medication you need for pain, morning sickness or headaches is in your hands before you can say ‘I feel ill Toru’. And those scans that can make you see the baby in your tummy in 3D? Oh, he would pay millions for you to experience that, so dont act surprised when he pulls out his black card.
babyfever!satoru warps to get your cravings to you as soon as possible, he doesn’t need his pretty little wife stressed for any longer than she needs to be. But don’t mistake it for him letting you eat whatever you want, all of your meals will be made by him and full of all the nutrients you need.
babyfever!satoru knew the gender before you were even pregnant, but his six eyes blessed him with absolute confirmation. But, because you were excited for the scan he waited to tell everyone else until after the doctor confirmed it.
babyfever!satoru drags you to parenting classes so he makes sure he has all the practice he needs. The poor man isn’t worried about you at all, he know you’ll pick it up with ease he could only hope to replicate.
babyfever!satoru who talks to your baby bump like his son is already in his arms. His reason? He needs to bond with the baby in any way he can so they have a healthy relationship. Satoru has always warned you, if he was going to be a dad, he was forever holding the title of No1.
babyfever!satoru becomes more and more impatient every, single, day. He just wants to meet your perfect baby and it eats away at him more and more as the months pass.
“And how much longer?” He asks the nurse as he rubs his large hand over your forever growing bump.
The nurses smile strains, he has asked her this question at least 100 times over the course of the pregnancy. She was probably considering changing career paths.
“Mr Satoru, the expected date hasn’t changed, it is still May 17th.”
Two entire more months.
He pouted all the way home.
babyfever!satoru sleeps with most of his body draped over yours, shielding your body from any risks during sleep. Not that you’d ever be in danger with the strongest by your side, but it is a worry in his head and it is the only way for him to sleep.
babyfever!satoru spends thousands on all sorts of equipment to optimise your comfort. Baby brace? You have one in every colour? Back support pillows? You have three for every room in the house. Clothes? He has a brand new wardrobe for you.
babyfever!satoru already has a massive pile of push presents for you.
babyfever!satoru who isn’t sure he can wait another minute.

doctors actually have a term for when they intentially misdiagnose and/or just dont treat a patient out of laziness and lack of care. it's called punting. they'll try to shuck the patient off by being as unhelpful as possible because they DONT want to figure it out. they DONT want to work hard to find out your diagnosis.
they will intentionally give you an 'accurate enough' diagnosis. for example, saying your pain is all musculoskeletal-- it's *technically* true, so the patient cant sue the doctor, but it isnt an actual disgnosis and it doesnt help the patient at all.
so always ALWAYS make them write down their refusal to run more tests, their refusal to run tests at all, or their dismissal of your symptoms. dont wait to do it as a last resort, do it from the very beginning. because not only will they intentionally misdiagnose you, but they will intentionally write down 'refused treatment' even if you actually just DENIED it for a valid reason (refusing to allow a nurse bathe you, asking for a family member instead. refusing to take a certain med at a certain time bc of how it affects you, etc). instead of writing down your valid reason for denying the treatment or testing, they'll write down that you refused it--which makes future hcps come at you with a bias. they assume youre a difficult, argumentative, and frustrating patient.... which means thwyll be even more likely to try to patient punt you and be hesitant to test you.

I'm really, really sorry that happened to your friend, anon. I hope they were able to recover and get justice for what happened to them, and that you've been able to work through it too.
Thank you :) I'm not close enough with her to necessarily be privy to all her deepest feelings, but as far as I can tell, she really is fine and has been for a long time. She's a teacher and doing really well.
And yeah, I don't feel that way--like I'm looking through that filter--anymore, and a big part of that (not to overshare, but hey, maybe someone will read this and it will help them?) was getting diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder. Since I was a kid I'd felt like violence and death were always lurking, to a degree that was illogical, and then the attack on my friend made that worse because it seemed like oh, I was right to feel that way. But getting worse eventually led to a diagnosis, which has led to getting a lot better! :)
(x)
I'm really glad both you and your friend are doing better and that the diagnosis helped, anon! It's wonderful when diagnoses give us not just a vocabulary and tools for what we experience, but an understanding of ourselves and I guess, context?
Not the same exactly, but my littlest nephew has a severe speech disability which has gone through about five almost-diagnoses and multiple tests which is crazy given he's only 6-years-old. He finally got an actual diagnosis a few months ago (childhood apraxia of speech, or CAS) and while there's complicated feelings involved in knowing talking isn't going to be something that'll ever be easy for him, even just getting to understand it better as a motor disability as opposed to a cognitive one has been extremely useful in helping us to support him in using his voice.
He doesn't really understand what his diagnosis means yet (although he knows people outside of the family struggle to understand him) but it's helped get him into more specific speech therapy and, if my sister wins relocation in family court next month, there's some social groups here in Melbourne where he can hopefully be around kids who are experiencing the same disability (it's a rare one, and there ae just more kids with it in the city) and understand what he's going through as he grows up. So yeah! It's pretty cool when a diagnosis offers not just pathways forwards, but a deeper understanding of self and points of connection too.

Pervydoctor!sukuna who was tall with a bunch of tattoos, he had a menacing look that looked like he should be doing illegal stuff and not have a medical degree.
Pervydoctor!sukuna who thought it was absolutely adorable how you came in because your boobs were sore.
Pervydoctor!sukuna who enjoyed your blushing teary face that was embarrassed and in a bit of pain as he prodded at your sore tit.
Pervydoctor!sukuna who realized your nipples started to perk as he massaged your boobs trying to make them feel better. He didn't want a sweet girl in pain!
Pervydoctor!sukuna who feels upset when you go when you say the massage surprisingly made it better.
Pervydoctor!sukuna who needed some excuse to get you to come back to the doctors, and it just rolled at his feet.
You had some sex problems...
Pervydoctor!sukuna who was happy to get called in late at night when you requested just for him.
He practically ran inside the clinic. The nurses were surprised when he asked for the patient (you) and what room you were him. He never cares about work.
Pervydoctor!sukuna who went into room 3 and saw you sitting there with a flushed face and clenched fists.
"what's wrong?" He asked trying to be nonchalant but that look in your eyes... Embarrassment?
Pervydoctor!sukuna who almost laughed when you said you can't "orgasm". He obviously asked why and you said you had a one night stand and nothing happened.
His fists clenched and his heart started beating faster when you told him about another man. You've been coming in for months and he's grown fond of you.
He kept a cold face and told you to take off your clothes. You did so and your little pussy and your perky tits just made his heart flutter. He gave you a gown to cover the top of your body but he's already seen it so it doesn't help the fact that his dick is getting hard.
Pervydoctor!sukuna who makes you lay on the hospital bed and puts a cool metal leg spreader between your legs to keep them apart.
He flipped the gown up to see your pretty pussy and it made his mouth salivate.
Pervydoctor!sukuna who tells you he has to do and external and internal exam. He prods at your opening rubbing his gloved fingers up to your clit making you jolt and a bit of wetness drizzle out of your hole.
"So the natural lubricant still produces..." He says in that doctory yet slutty tone that made you wanna clench your thighs together but you couldn't so you let out a huff.
Pervydoctor!sukuna who starts his internal exam.
He starts by taking off his gloves it made your eyes widen since you were sitting up. "Why are you taking your gloves off?" You ask with a small stutter to your voice.
"Well my fingers won't move properly." He says flatly as that was the most normal thing to say in the world.
Pervydoctor!sukuna who shoves his fingers inside you moving them around the tight space feeling the ridges. You made an uncomfortable huff. "Lay down fully, it makes it feel better." He says in a more breathy tone.
Just like that you instantly lay down. He was right, it did make it feel better. Maybe too better.
Pervydoctor!sukuna who wasn't very surprised when you let out a breathy moan. As his wandering fingers found your g-spot.
He began to rub it, then doing quick thrusts into it, making you squeeze around his fingers making him let out a deep, throaty, sexy laugh.
He quickly made you come to an orgasm he took his fingers out and you heard a slurp... he licked his fingers... you weren't 100% since you were laying down but that's probably the case.
Pervydoctor!sukuna who diagnosed you with "finding guys with short dicks"

love House MD because House is the MAIN CHARACTER at that hospital and there's no attempt to hide this. as the viewer you are fully aware that those nurses in the elevator are just extras. the boss's entire schedule consists of yelling at him. the head of oncology would rather prescribe him controlled meds and flirt than practice oncology. his team's only desires are to fuck him and strangle him, often at the same time. every other doctor at the hospital might as well be a cardboard cutout.
the walls are glass, the better to see him through. he limps around, commits malpractice, and serves cunt.
long live mid-2000s TV.
