We need to develop a heart after the Lord: seeking Him and drawing near to Him. Psalm 73:28 says, “But it is good for me to draw near to God.”
We can get as close to God as we want. We need to be eager to seek Him and get to know Him.
For many of us, it's like this - we are always doing things for Jesus but without ever knowing Him intimately. Today, ask the Lord to give you a heart that will seek Him and draw closer to Him. He wants to show Himself to us but we need to make ourselves available by seeking Him. He really wants to be close to us that's why He says in James 4:8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.

Good Morning!☀️
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. James 4:8
James has a way of getting right to the heart of the matter.  Throughout his letter he makes it clear where the fault lies and what the solution is.
Too often we wait for others to make the first move, then complain when they do not and nothing changes in our relationship.  James states it plain and simple: draw near to God and he will draw near to you. A deeper walk with God begins with drawing near!

I know the popular take is that Jason responds to familial affection by going ew fuck you gtf off me or whatever but to be honest I think if someone actually tried it he's ending up weeping wailing face red sniffling coughing collapsing to his knees in the rain type of reaction just completely sopping pathetic. his eyes are so swollen he can't see shit and falls off a cliff

The Secret to Moses’ Strength: Time in God's Presence
Moses lived an extraordinary life. He led Israel out of Egypt, spoke with God face to face, and performed miracles. But one of the most remarkable things about him was that at 120 years old, he was still physically strong and mentally sharp. Deuteronomy 34:7 tells us: “Moses was 120 years old when he died, yet his eyes were not weak, nor his strength gone.“ How is that possible? Most people…

We cannot approach God without feeling filthy from our sins. This is basically us moving out of the darkness into the light, after doing who knows what in the darkness, which becomes well-known as soon as we step into the light, having our stains revealed upon us. This doesn't seem so comfortable, does it? But there is a way out of this humiliation. There is always the One Who is willing to accept you as His own, by helping you repent, break away from the stains by washing you clean, and sealing you with the Holy Spirit. As we keep on walking with Him, after being accepted and justified by Him, we find ourselves changing into the same pure image He bears. That Someone Whom we follow is God Himself, Who loves us so much, that He gave His own life on the cross for us to be freed from the filth of sin, and to be born again into a new life. He would not reject those who would turn back from their sinful lives in true repentance. He wants all to come to Him. So let us accept His invitation and turn back to our Creator. He wants you. He loves you. He calls you forth. So what are you waiting for?

Hebrews 7:19 A Better Hope
for the law made nothing perfect; on the other hand, there is the bringing in of a better hope, through which we draw near to God. Hebrews 7:19 Trying to be good enough is the goal of most people. They want to be seen as a good person and be able to earn credits in life. People will try to follow the law and then brag about it and cut others down for not following the law. In the process…

Not What or How, but Who
Not What or How, but WhoEver asked this question? “What would you do?” It might be shouted over the laughter and squeals of children or whispered between tears in a living room. It might be me asking my neighbors about how to get rid of those annoying ants. We might all be looking for answers of some kind. And the good news is, God has not left us alone with our questions. In fact, He wants us…

Good Morning!☀
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.  James 4:7-8
Any distance that we allow to remain between us and God is more than likely too much. As the sheep are dependent on the shepherd, so we are dependent on God. Yet, too often we spend precious little time cultivating our relationship with God.
For sure, we may attend church and Bible study. We may participate in the choir, deacon, usher, or even pastor. The question remains, have we drawn near to God, or are staying out on the outer banks? Are we involved in things about God, activities supposedly for God, yet do not know him? Is our relationship with God fresh and alive, or is it dry and stale, an endless series of programs, anniversaries, prayer breakfasts, conferences and revivals, but never really spending consistent, daily, one-to-one time with God? Have we allowed job and family obligations to push our relationship with God to the side?
Don't settle for shadows when you can have substance. Don't stay far off when you can come near and experience fellowship with God.
Get close to God first!

There's context to these but its impossible to fully explain rn. Just imagine Pen and Ink in an au where they are forced to stay separate but also learn to get along and also live in a beautiful world of only click clacks. Thousands and thousands of click clacks.
