I absolutely love how casual the Seaweed Brain name drop was! It would have been so easy to make it a big moment, or to have Leah put emphasis on it, but no. Because to us it's huge, but to the characters it doesn't mean anything yet. It was perfect.

Marvel and DC live-action stuff drawing from newer comics means critiquing them is a bit funnier because I can often just, go to the library and find the exact story arc they are borrowing from among the trades.

I can find the writers and artists comparing the adaptation.

I can find my own posts talking about that arc from the comics as it was coming out.

I have not engaged with any MCU media in a VERY long time, so correct me if I'm wrong, but does anyone else sometimes think about how Norse mythology is the only mythology/religious sect that is proven to exist in this universe. It's objectively interesting to ME at least, because presumably everyone on earth was chilling and relaxing and then suddenly the Nordic god, Loki, touches down and starts causing alien havoc in New York.

Like, would that not cause some kind of weird religious upset, to just have an actual REAL Scandinavian god be real, amongst the rest of his pantheon? Like yeah, Thor is a superhero or whatever, but does anyone ever just be like "That's the actual Norse Thor and Loki. The god's from Scandinavian folklore. They are the only gods to be proven real." And like, yes, the MCU gets most if not all of their mythology incorrect, but it's just weird to me how presumably other religions still manage to exist despite Loki and Thor and Odin just fucking being there.

Basically this post was created because I really really really wanted there to be like. A Loki shrine or worshipper or something in the new Loki season because you know. He's a god. He would have worshippers. People who pray to him and all that stuff, and I'm disappointed there weren't any.

The OP's complaint is that the term "Avengers level threat" is so reductive it diminishes the threats the likes of the X-Men and Fantastic Four face, thus unfairly painting them as lesser teams compared to the Avengers despite facing similar threats. But the Avengers fan is obviously so opposed to the very idea of any team, especially the fucking X-Men, being seen as equal to the Avengers they see this is dickriding slander. Some obviously got so into Avengers vs X-Men they still have it as their entire personality over a decade later.

I wouldn’t notice in fact I get shocked seeing a movie trailer and plus most of my media comes from people on the internet. But also like I would prefer if things stopped getting added for like a few years I wouldn’t even notice anyway

i genuinely dont care if the creation of all media comes to a screeching halt btw i will very gladly live with no new movies no new tv shows no new anything for years if that's what it takes for the people who create them to be treated like human beings. i hope every other facet of the entertainment industry goes on strike too and i hope all the ones that havent unionised yet will. i want media creation to become completely impossible and i want the people who could make it possible again to hold out until they get every single thing they want. btw

Once again I'm begging Marvel to let me direct the Vision series because I do know everything that the character represents, all his internal conflicts to develop and I know how to use him as a character on his own and not as a bad complement or complement of Wanda. 😞
