Cookie Chaos
featuring. husband! sylus and wife! reader
Tumblr media
There was a scent of cinnamon and nutmeg that filled the kitchen, mingling with the holiday music playing softly in the background. The twins, with their small aprons adorned with tiny snowflakes, stood on stools next to the counter, their eager hands reaching for flour and sugar. Their giggles echoed through the room, a sweet melody of joy as they worked under your supervision to bake cookies for the holiday party. You leaned against the kitchen island, watching the scene unfold, the corners of your mouth twitching as you fought to contain your laughter.
Sylus stood at the stove, his expression a mixture of exasperation and mild amusement as he stirred a pot of hot chocolate. “Sweetie,” he muttered, glancing at you with a pointed look, “are you sure this was a good idea?” His voice was low and gruff, but there was a tenderness beneath it that softened the scolding.
Before you could answer, one of the twins who were covered in a dusting of flour, grabbed the measuring cup with both hands and with their excitement, spilled half of it on the counter. Sylus pinched the bridge of his nose and exhaled through his teeth. “Careful,” he said, his tone steady but firm. “We’re supposed to be making cookies, not a disaster zone.”
“They’re doing fine,” you said, biting back a laugh as the other twin grabbed a fistful of sprinkles and tossed it into the air like confetti. A rainbow of tiny sugar dots rained down, landing on the counter and the floor. With the chaotic mess of the baking, Sylus carefully cleaned stovetop. Patience running thin.
However before Sylus could protest, the sound of heavy boots echoed through the hallway. Kieran and Luke entered, their grins as mischievous as ever. “What’s this?” Kieran asked, leaning against the doorframe. “A baking party without us? That’s just rude.”
Luke’s sharp eyes scanned the scene, taking in the twins’ messy but enthusiastic efforts. “Looks like you’ve got your hands full,” he said dryly, his lips curving into a faint smirk.
Sylus groaned, setting the spoon down with a clatter. “No. Absolutely not. You two are not—”
“Too late!” Kieran interrupted, rolling up his sleeves as he strode toward the counter. “We’re already here, might as well help.”
“‘Help,’” Sylus repeated, his tone heavy with skepticism as he crossed his arms. “The last time you two ‘helped,’ the kitchen smelled like burnt sugar for a week.”
Luke shrugged, already picking up a rolling pin. “That’s what happens when you experiment with caramel,” he said matter-of-factly, ignoring Sylus’s glare.
The twins, thrilled by the new additions to their team, clapped their hands and cheered. “Uncle Kieran! Uncle Luke! Look, we’re making cookies!”
Kieran leaned down, his face level with theirs, and whispered loud enough for everyone to hear, “How about we make the biggest cookie ever? Like, one the size of a plate.”
Sylus’s brows knit together as he straightened his posture, a looming figure of disapproval. “Absolutely not. Stick to the recipe.”
But Kieran was already pouring extra chocolate chips into the batter, much to the twins’ delight. Luke, ever the quieter instigator, grabbed another mixing bowl and began preparing a second batch, muttering something about “adding some flair.”
You couldn’t help it anymore; a laugh escaped you, as you leaned back against the counter. Sylus shot you a look, one brow arched in mock indignation. “Sweetie, you’re supposed to be on my side.”
“I am,” you said, wiping a tear of laughter from the corner of your eye. “But you’ve got to admit, this is pretty entertaining.”
“Entertaining isn’t the word I’d use,” he muttered, his gaze shifting back to Kieran, who was now attempting to juggle eggs to impress the twins. One egg slipped from his grasp, landing with a splat on the floor.
Sylus inhaled sharply through his nose, his jaw tightening as he grabbed a towel to clean up the mess. “Kieran,” he said, his voice calm but edged with warning, “if you don’t stop acting like a circus act, you’re banned from the kitchen. Permanently.”
Kieran grinned, unrepentant. “Relax, Sylus. It’s the holidays. Live a little.”
Luke, meanwhile, had somehow managed to get powdered sugar on his shirt, his usually impeccable demeanor slightly disheveled. “This is why I don’t cook,” he muttered under his breath, though there was a faint smile on his lips as one of the twins handed him a cookie cutter shaped like a star.
The kitchen became a flurry of activity, with the twins shouting out instructions, Kieran making exaggerated declarations about being the “best baker in the galaxy,” and Luke quietly fixing whatever chaos his brother caused. You watched it all with a full heart, your gaze drifting to Sylus, who was doing his best to keep everything from spiraling out of control.
Despite his grumbles and sighs, there was a softness to his movements as he leaned over to guide one of the twins’ hands while they rolled out dough. His large fingers enveloped their tiny ones, and his voice dropped to a gentle murmur as he explained how to press the cutter firmly into the dough.
“Like this,” he said, demonstrating with patience that belied his usual gruffness. The twin beamed up at him, their face glowing with pride as they successfully cut out a perfect snowman shape.
You caught his eye from across the room and smiled. “You’re a natural, you know.”
Sylus scoffed, though a faint blush crept up his neck. “Don’t start, sweetie.”
By the time the cookies were in the oven, the kitchen looked like a war zone. Flour dusted every surface, sprinkles crunched underfoot, and smudges of chocolate adorned everyone’s cheeks. Kieran had somehow managed to get frosting in his hair, and Luke was carefully peeling a sticky candy cane off his sleeve.
Sylus surveyed the chaos with a resigned sigh, his hands on his hips. “This is what happens when I let you two in here,” he said, his tone more tired than angry.
Kieran clapped him on the back. “Lighten up, Sylus. The kids had fun, didn’t they?”
The twins, now perched on stools, nodded vigorously. “It was the best day ever!” one of them declared, their face glowing with happiness.
Sylus’s expression softened as he looked at them, his annoyance melting away like snow under the sun. “Yeah,” he said quietly, almost to himself. “It was.”
As the cookies baked, the family gathered in the living room to wait. The twins, still buzzing with energy, sat on the rug and began sorting through cookie cutters, debating which ones were their favorites. Kieran sprawled on the couch, one arm draped over the backrest, while Luke leaned against the armchair, his expression one of calm amusement.
You settled into the loveseat next to Sylus, leaning into his side. He wrapped an arm around your shoulders, pulling you close. “You’re too soft on them,” he murmured, his lips brushing against your temple.
“That’s because I know when to pick my battles,” you replied, smiling up at him.
He chuckled, a low, rich sound that made your heart flutter. “I’ll never understand how you put up with all this chaos.”
“Because it’s our chaos,” you said, resting your head against his chest. “And I wouldn’t trade it for anything.”
When the timer dinged, signaling that the cookies were ready, the twins scrambled to the kitchen, dragging Kieran and Luke with them. Sylus followed at a slower pace, his hand resting on your lower back as you walked together.
The cookies, which were golden and abit deformed, was proof of the day’s chaotic and messy effort. As everyone gathered around to taste them, the twins’ laughter rang out, filling the room with warmth. Sylus took a bite and nodded approvingly. “Not bad,” he admitted, earning cheers from the twins.
As the evening wore on and the mess was slowly cleaned, you couldn’t help but feel a deep sense of contentment. And as Sylus wrapped an arm around your waist, pulling you close for a brief but tender kiss, you knew he felt the same. The cookies will definitely not be taken to the holiday party, maybe you would stop by the store to buy some.

Pairings: SFW The Batch x fem!reader
Summary: You're a dropout Jedi who left with Echo to join the Bad Batch. You and The Batch are assigned to work with the 501st. The Batch get a bit spicy about how friendly you are with the regs.
NSFW Edition
Inspired by physical touch by @queenariesofnarnia :') it's perfect
The Marauder's landing ramp wasn't halfway extended, and your foot tapped with anticipation. Spotting the 501st squadron as you descended, they stood in a group, not in formation, eagerly awaiting your arrival. Working with the Bad Batch was a thrill, but you couldn't deny missing your first squad.
When Echo departed, Hunter extended you the same offer to join the Bad Batch. As a Jedi dropout, you no longer belonged on Coruscant or in the Order. Your path diverged, but that didn't mean you didn't occasionally yearn for your old teammates.
Before it was fully safe to exit, you hurled yourself out of the ship, dashing toward the awaiting clones. The Batch were momentarily stunned; even Tech tore his eyes away from his datapad at your sudden outburst.
"Shorty!" Fives exclaimed as you barrelled into his arms, spinning you around before settling you among your old squad.
"Shorty?" Crosshair sneered, visibly annoyed by what he was seeing. You darted between the regs, embracing each one, sometimes two at a time.
You meshed well with the Batch, but they weren't the touchy-feely type. Consequently, you lacked the courage to breach physical boundaries, especially considering how often you seemed to get under their skin. After your fallout with the Order, you couldn't risk facing any more rejection.
As the Batch followed after you, Wrecker swiveled his head toward his brothers, clearly confused. "Wha- what's going on?" He scratched his head, gesturing in your direction. "What's all that about?" He referred to your playful antics with the group of regs, laughing and roughhousing like a child.
You weren't cold toward them; in fact, you engaged in comfortable teasing. However, you maintained a professional distance, refraining from physical contact, let alone running into their arms.
Echo shrugged, a smile playing on his lips as he reminisced about his former life. "She's just saying hi," he explained. "She served with the 501st for a long time, even before I was taken to Skako Minor." Nostalgia washed over him at the sight of you standing with his 501st brothers - just like old times.
Hunter blinked in astonishment. "That's normal for her?" He had never witnessed you so carefree and jovial before.
Tech tucked his datapad away, adjusting his goggles as he observed the scene. "By their reactions, this doesn't seem abnormal for her. Why this is the first time we're witnessing it, I'm uncertain." He turned to Echo. "Have you seen this behavior before?"
"Sure, but you're all overthinking it," Echo replied, realizing the tension building among his brothers. "She's just comfortable with them." He regretted the last sentence immediately, sensing their egos regarding regular clones turning this joyful reunion into an unspoken competition.
"If she's so comfortable with them," Crosshair spat, "Maybe she should go back to her precious regs." It was exactly the response Echo feared.
The group watched as you responded to Jesse's teasing with a flirtatious elbow, then stumbled slightly into Rex, who steadied you with a hand on your shoulder.
"It's good to see you. Keeping Echo out of trouble?" Rex smiled down at you, then glanced at Echo standing among the Batch. His smile faded upon noticing Clone Force 99 in various stages of glowering. He patted your shoulder. "Uh… why don't you find General Skywalker while I brief the rest of your squad?"
Without a glance back at the Batch, you followed the order. Anakin briefed you on the mission before easing into conversation. "How are you holding up?" He leaned against a crate of supplies.
"It was hard at first, but I feel…" You paused, feeling a warmth spreading over your chest, grateful it rarely reached your cheeks. "At home with the Batch." You couldn't suppress the smile the thought of the Batch brought you. They made your life exciting, and you felt safe fighting alongside them.
Anakin hadn't missed the looks Clone Force 99 threw your way, especially the nastier ones aimed at the clones you hugged. "I'm glad to hear that, Short Stuff." When Hunter and Wrecker glanced over at the two of you with something like disdain, Anakin smirked. Oh, this is too easy. He leaned down just enough so that your face eclipsed his, just out of sight of the Batchers. "Though, it looks like your new crew isn't too happy with you."
You jerked back, incredulous. "Excuse me?" By the time you whipped around, the Batch were already to the Marauder. Everything seemed normal. You shoved Anakin back. "Kriff off, Skywalker."
Anakin raised his hands in surrender. "Alright, alright. Anyway, it looks like it's time for you to rejoin your squad. Good luck."
"Pfft, good luck?" You pulled a face and cracked your neck. "I don't need luck on missions." You may have missed the Jedi General, but you did not miss his arrogant humor.
Anakin smirked as you headed back out and out of earshot. "It wasn't for the mission."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Inside the ship, the atmosphere shifted when you returned. Hunter, Wrecker, Crosshair, Tech, and Echo were scattered about on various tasks, their sudden silence and exchanged glances going unnoticed by you as you busied yourself with pulling out sleeping supplies. There was no way you were missing a chance to sleep off the ship.
Sat cleaning his gun, Crosshair’s eyes bore into your back. It didn’t take Hunter’s senses for you to feel his glare. Still packing, you said over your shoulder, “What is it, Crosshair?”
“Oh, nothing,” Crosshair sneered, leaning forward. “Just didn’t realize you missed your regs so much.”
“And why wouldn’t I miss them?” You snorted, not realizing that earned you an even nastier look from the white-haired clone. “Some people have friends, Crosshair. What’s wrong with that?”
Raising an eyebrow, you turned to face him, a smirk playing on your lips. "And what's wrong with that? Some of us actually have friends, you know."
Tech, engrossed in a control panel, interjected, "He's not questioning your friendships. He's just pointing out the obvious preference you seem to have for your old squadmates."
Your hands stilled, and you turned to face them, sensing an underlying tension in the air. "What's going on here?"
Wrecker shuffled awkwardly, his expression troubled. "We just thought you were happier with us."
"I am happy!" you exclaimed. "But it's natural to be excited to see old friends, isn't it?"
When Wrecker’s defeated look didn’t change you looked to Hunter, the sensible brother, for relief. Instead, he had his arms crossed and eyes fixed away from you.
They can’t be serious. You started to turn to Echo when Crosshair abruptly got up, setting his gun aside, and loomed over you within a second.
“Don’t look at Echo to save you,” Crosshair growled, his voice low and menacing. "You seem a little too cozy with them for just 'old friends.'" You tried to step away, but found yourself backed against the counter behind you.
“Cross,” Hunter warned, but his brother didn’t heed the caution, slamming a hand on the shelf a few inches from your face.
The close proximity allowed you to catch Crosshair's scent—gun oil and mint—a combination you'd never been so close to before. It left you breathless, barely able to formulate a response. Crosshair raked his eyes over you as he idly lolled a toothpick around his mouth. He leaned in close. “Why so shy now, Shorty?” he taunted, his voice dropping even lower.
Despite the shiver you felt at the nickname rolling off Crosshair’s tongue, ignored the jibe. “What’s your problem with ‘Shorty’?” you bit back, unwilling to back down.
Tech swiftly wedged himself between you and Crosshair, his tone firm but diplomatic. "Let's not act like children here." Placing a hand on your chest and the other on Crosshair's shoulder, he continued, "Although 'Shorty' might not be the most accurate nickname. If you prefer something else-"
His voice trailed off as he noticed the flush creeping up your chest and spreading to your cheeks and ears. Tech's wide eyes darted between your face and his hand, realizing the unintended intimacy of his touch. "Oh," he stammered, but didn’t pull back his hand. "I-I apologize."
Feeling the weight of their collective stares, you squirmed uncomfortably, yearning for some space to breathe. Tech's touch, coupled with Crosshair's taunting sent a flurry of conflicting emotions coursing through you, rendering you speechless. It seemed like every part of you was reacting, including that one lower part that seemed to have a mind of its own.
Before the tension could escalate further, Echo chimed in with an observation. "Well, I've never seen that before."
Returning to reality, you brushed Tech's hand away and swiftly grabbed your sleeping gear, attempting to regain your composure. "You're all acting like a bunch of-"
"It looks like our sarad is finally blossoming," Crosshair mocked, his voice laced with amusement.
Unable to take another word from him, you shoved past Tech to lunge on Crosshair, whose scowl was now a shit eating smirk. “I’ll wipe that smug-”
Hunter jumped in to hold you back. “Back off, Cross.” You were still grabbing for Crosshair when Hunter’s firm grip on your waist registered with you. You stiffened as Hunter detangled your arms from his shoulder and pulled you aside. He turned to you and surprised you by gently cupped your cheek. “Listen, we’re not trying to upset you.”
You were too aware of all the places your bodies had just touched - where his hands had been. It was all too much and with his hand on your face you simply couldn’t move.
The unexpected closeness and the warmth of his touch left you momentarily stunned, struggling to process the flood of sensations. With an effort to maintain your composure, you pulled away from Hunter's touch, grabbing your gear tightly. But before you could make your escape, Wrecker wrapped you in his arms and wrung you off your feet. “Aw, don’t be mad, we were just worried!” All you could focus on was the size of his hands and how nice his arms felt. When he dropped you, you just stood hunched over with a death grip on your sleeping pack.
The way you just stood at the mouth of the ship wide eyed and huffing, you probably looked like a deranged blurg. You felt deranged. In mere minutes you’d gone from composed to weak kneed simply from a few touches and teases. Being the center of their attention in those minutes had lit something in you that was quickly getting out of control. You still couldn’t manage words when you took off down the Marauder’s ramp.
At once Hunter, Wrecker, Crosshair, and Tech looked back at Echo. Echo echoed the collective astonishment, his tone tinged with bewilderment. "I've never seen her act like that before."
Tech, ever the analyzer, observed the physical signs of your distress with keen interest. He looked down at the hand he'd placed on your chest. "Her heart rate and temperature were elevated," he noted, his analytical nature kicking in. "Her coloring was..." He paused, searching for the right word, "...unexpectedly vibrant." Tech was quick to record his observations, whether mentally or digitally, finding your behavior to be a fascinating new discovery.
"Intriguing," Tech mused, adjusting his glasses with a confident shrug. "Her conduct with us doesn't align with her interactions with her former squadron. This divergence suggests a remarkably positive correlation." His conclusion was delivered with a note of excitement, indicative of his realization of the significance of your reaction. "And I am seldom wrong."
Each member of the Bad Batch absorbed Tech's assessment in their own way, contemplating the implications of your behavior.
When it was time to part ways with the 501st, you made your good-byes. The Batch weren’t much for good-byes, aside from Echo giving an extra farewell to Rex, they watched on from the mouth of the Marauder. You didn’t know when, or if, you’d see them again so you were saying good-bye to each clone.
Jesse sauntered over to the Batch as you engaged in one last round of roughhousing with Fives. He glanced at you, then at the Batch. An obvious jab that didn't fail to elicit a snarl from Crosshair. “Looks like she's clinging to her ‘regs’ a bit too tightly,” he remarked, his tone laced with thinly veiled mockery. Crosshair's lip curled in response, a silent warning brewing beneath his steely exterior. “Maybe it's time she remembers where she belongs.”
“Ay! Sarad!” Wrecker’s voice boomed out suddenly, your head immediately snapping to attention. “You comin’ or what?”
Tech, with a slight adjustment to his goggles, couldn't help but notice the telltale signs of your embarrassment—the faint flush creeping up your cheeks, the nervous smile that flickered across your lips. It was a sight that stirred something in his usually analytical mind. “Looks like she's right where she belongs,” he remarked softly, a rare hint of sentimentality in his tone.
Jesse let out a huff of resignation. “I suppose so. Just make sure you take care of her,” he muttered before slipping away.
As Wrecker slung his arm around your shoulders, nearly toppling you over, you hesitated for a moment. But instead of pulling away, you returned the gesture with a small hip bump, a silent olive branch. This is really going to take some getting used to.
Hunter, helmet tucked under his arm, stepped forward. “If you ever decide you want to go back to the 501st... we'd understand,” he offered, his tone tinged with sincerity.
You shook your head with a laugh, stepping out of Wrecker’s embrace. Playfully knocking an elbow into Hunter’s side, you grinned. “You think I’d trade you guys for the 501st? Not a chance,” you replied, your words carrying a hint of affection.
“Oh, spare us the sentimentality,” Crosshair interjected dryly, though the faint twitch of his lip betrayed a hint of amusement.
As you stood among the Batch, you laughed to yourself. This is going to be fun.

“So, I heard it’s someone’s birthday today?”
The voice is like a warm caress, and you spin around in the pilot’s chair, a soft smile already forming. Hunter stands in the doorway, his arms crossed, and that ever-gracious smirk playing on his lips. Stars above, how could one man be so effortlessly handsome and charming at the same time? His presence alone sends your heart into a wild rhythm.
You try to hide your bashfulness, a difficult feat given Hunter's heightened senses. You often wonder if he can hear the way your heart skips a beat whenever he talks to you, or if he can sense the blood rushing to your cheeks. “Hmm, I’m not too sure,” you say, pinching your chin in mock contemplation. “Remind me again?”
He chuckles, a sound that feels like a soft embrace, and walks towards you, placing a caring hand on your shoulder. “Happy birthday, trooper.”
His touch sends a warmth coursing through you, and you grin, though he quickly notices the smile doesn’t quite reach your eyes. His brows furrow slightly, a sign of his genuine concern. “Something the matter?”
“It’s just… it’s my first birthday without seeing my friends and family, so it feels a bit, I don’t know, different? I guess.”
It had been almost a year since you last visited your home planet. Being a medic for the squad meant you were always on call, patching up the boys and tending to Omega’s scraped knees. You loved your job and the Batch, especially one member more than the others. But celebrating your birthday without your other loved ones felt tougher than you had anticipated.
Hunter moves to the chair beside you, using his foot to gently spin you around to face him. “I guess it would be quite strange,” he acknowledges, leaning forward. “But we will make the day work, huh? Wrecker, Tech, Crosshair, and Echo want to take you out for breakfast this morning. Maybe go for a walk on the beach too.”
The thought of the boys offering to take you out for breakfast is sweet, but you can’t help the slight disappointment. “And you and Omega don’t want to come too?”
He shifts, suddenly looking a bit nervous. “Oh, erm, I just have to do some data logs and boring stuff, and Omega said her stomach hurts this morning.”
In an instant, you panic and stand. “What? Is she okay? Why didn’t she tell me?” You start to walk away to find her, your medical and nurturing instincts kicking in. But you’re stopped by a gentle hand grabbing hold of yours.
A warmth spreads up your fingers as you look down at the hand intertwined with yours, then up to the gentle eyes they belong to. “She’s okay, just sleeping.”
Your breath catches in your throat, unsure how to respond. Why was he holding your hand? Why hadn’t he let go yet? “O-Oh, I see.”
He smiles, another one of those smiles that often turn your knees to jelly. “I’m sure you’re going to have a great birthday,” he says fondly.
Your heart swells, a mixture of emotions swirling within you. Hunter’s presence, his touch, his words—they all have a way of making you feel seen and cherished in a way you hadn’t felt in a long time. You had liked him for the longest of time and you had a somewhat naive hunch he felt something for you too. You had seen the way he acted with women before and it was never the way he was with you. You didn’t want to get your hopes up but you couldn’t miss the way he looked at you.
Hunter’s hand lingers in yours, neither of you seeming to want to let go. The warmth of his touch sends a gentle thrill through you, and you find yourself completely lost in his eyes. Memories flood back: the countless times he had stood by your side, his protective nature, the soft, caring words he had for you after tough missions, and the gentle way he always made sure you were okay.
He steps closer, his eyes never leaving yours. You feel your heart pounding in your chest, breath hitching as the space between you seems to shrink. His face is inches from yours, and you can almost feel his breath when—
The moment is shattered as Wrecker bursts into the room, his loud, jovial voice breaking the spell. “Hey! Happy birthday!” he bellows, his enthusiasm filling the cockpit.
You and Hunter quickly pull apart, standing back as though caught doing something you shouldn’t. Wrecker’s massive arms envelop you in a bear hug, lifting you off your feet momentarily.
“Wrecker!” you laugh, your cheeks flushed with a mixture of embarrassment and lingering warmth from the almost-moment with Hunter.
The rest of the Batch filters in, each offering their birthday wishes. Echo’s smile is warm and genuine, Crosshair gives a nod of acknowledgment, and Tech adjusts his goggles as he speaks. “We should get going before all the good food spots are full. I’ve done extensive research and compiled a list of optimal breakfast locations.”
You chuckle and nod, grateful for the distraction. As you prepare to leave, you give a shy wave to Hunter. He returns it with a nod and a smile that makes your heart flutter once again. Once you’re gone, Omega peeks into the cockpit, her eyes sparkling with excitement. “Is she gone?”
Hunter nods, a small smile playing on his lips. “Let’s get to work.”
Tumblr media
Breakfast is a yummy affair, filled with so much laughter juice nearly snorted out your nose at one point. With Tech having done his research, he led you all to a place where you could indulge in a variety of good dishes—crispy hash browns, fluffy pancakes drizzled with syrup, and a savoury omelette loaded with anything topping you could think of. Wrecker, of course, devours his food with unabashed enthusiasm, while Tech critiques the menu with a meticulous eye.
After breakfast as promised, the group of you heads to the beach. The sun is warm on your skin but a little too hot later on which meant you had to buy a straw hat by one of the nearby stalls, and the gentle waves lap at the shore.
As you lay on the sand, you watched on as the boys engage in light-hearted banter which soon lead to Wrecker and Crosshair ending up in a playful scuffle, each trying to push the other into the ocean. Their laughter is infectious, and you can’t help but join in, feeling a lightness you hadn’t in a while. But, the longing for your family was still there.
As the day winds down, Echo announces we need to return to the ship.
As soon as you step inside you’re greeted by the sight of decorations, a table laden with gifts and, and the people you love most in the galaxy. Your friends and family. Along with the Batch and Omega, who beams at you with pride.
Emotion wells up within you, your eyes watering instantly and you rush to your loved ones, pulling them into a tight embrace. “I can’t believe you guys are here!”
Echo approaches Hunter, clapping a hand on his shoulder. “Good job.” They both watch you wipe the tears of happiness from your eyes.
Tumblr media
That evening, the festivities of your party slowly start to dwindle. The campfire that was made crackles gently, casting a warm glow on those around you.
After the games, laughter, and a satisfying barbecue, presents are exchanged. You always felt shy when receiving gifts and today was no different. Though you were very grateful.
Tech hands you a crafted gadget, its sleek design and functionality immediately appealing to your practical side. Crosshair, true to his stoic nature, offers a high-quality knife with a subtle smile, acknowledging its usefulness. You weren’t much of a fighter but maybe you could ask Hunter to teach you one day…
Echo gives you a beautifully bound journal with a smooth leather cover and crisp pages of flimsi. He knew you liked to make notes on your adventures and this just adds a more personal touch. Wrecker’s gift, a massive stuffed animal, brings out delighted laughter from you though the others weren’t too impressed with where it’ll fit on the ship.
As the night settles, Hunter catches your eye from across the fire and nods towards the lake. “Would you like to go for a walk?”
Curiosity piqued, you nod and follow him away from the glowing campfire and the soft chatter of your friends. The path to the lake is softly illuminated by the last hues of twilight. The sun has dipped below the horizon, leaving a trail of purples, pinks, and deep blues in the sky, reflected beautifully on the still waters of the lake.
The environment is serene, with the gentle rustling of leaves in the evening breeze and the distant sound of creatures stirring. The cool air carries the subtle scent of pine and freshwater, wrapping around you. Hunter walks beside you, his presence steady and calming which is what you always felt.
“Thank you for the surprise,” you say, your voice soft and sincere. “I promise not to ugly cry again.”
Hunter chuckles softly, the sound blending harmoniously with the natural ambiance. “I’m glad you enjoyed it. Are you wondering where your gift from me is?”
“Not at all, you already did so much!” You say quickly, hoping you hadn’t come across ungrateful at all. But he reassures you as you both come to a stop, away from the view of the others.
“It was nothing, you do so much for us so it’s only fair I do something in return.. but I do actually have a gift for you.” Reaching into his pocket, he pulls out a small box. Opening it, he reveals a stunning bracelet, an intricate mix of different shades of blue stones, woven together in a delicate design on a silver band. The twilight’s remaining light catches on the bracelet, making it shimmer softly.
You’re momentarily speechless, the beauty of the bracelet and the thoughtfulness of Hunter’s gesture leaving you stunned. Smiling gently, Hunter takes your hand, his touch warm, and slips the bracelet onto your wrist. “I don’t know how to thank you,” you whisper, emotion thick in your voice.
“You don’t need to thank me,” Hunter replies, his voice filled with warmth. He pauses, his eyes holding yours with a quiet intensity. “But maybe we could finish what was almost started this morning?” His tone hopeful
You didn’t expect him to bring it up again, in fact you momentarily forgot about it, but his words send a thrill through you. You nod, a shy smile playing on your lips. Hunter steps closer, his hand gently cupping your cheek. The touch is electric, sending a pleasant shiver down your spine.
The kiss is soft, slow, and tender, a sweet exploration of emotions that were long felt, but never spoken. The galaxy around you fades, leaving just the two of you in this perfect, timeless moment.
When you finally part, Hunter’s eyes are filled with warmth and affection. “Happy birthday, beautiful,” he whispers, his breath mingling with yours.
Your heart swells with happiness, and you realise that this birthday, surrounded by love is one you will cherish forever.

Professor Sam Winchester
Tumblr media
gif by @out-in-the-open
Warnings: None! | Sam Winchester x Reader
Sam found his days getting more and more mundane as he went on to do his daily routines in his job. Grading papers, preparing for lessons and that polite greetings to students along the hallway every morning. It had been years since he felt the cold weight of the blade in his hand or hearing the exploding shots of a gun that filled the night air. The adrenaline he felt when he hunted down the evils that lurked in the dark. The thrill of taking them down one by one while seeing the glint of relief and gratitude from the eyes of the people he saved. Yes, he missed them all. And what he truly missed the most was Dean. His older brother. His hero. The one he looked up to his whole life.
The one that he lost.
Sam had always known the risks in the hunting life. He and Dean walked that danger's edge every day. What they didn't realize was how soon the time would catch up to them. Sure, they had cheated death multiple times in their lives but they knew this was it. Dean held onto his little brother one last time, making Sam promise to let him go for good this time. No demon deals. No exceptions. Nothing.
You live your life good, Sammy. Do it for me, okay?
Dean’s words echoed in his mind when suddenly his thoughts were interrupted by the new students coming into his classroom for the new semester. He shook his thoughts away and the burn he felt in his throat. This was his reality now. He needed to live this life better. He needed to let the past go.
He never imagined that after Stanford he’d return to college again. Especially not as a professor.
His eyes drifted towards the new batch of students coming in. Although he had done this many years, he had always been impressed with the number of students who were actually interested in Mythology class. He taught them myth after myth, legends, folktales, traditions from around the world. His new passion took over as soon as he stood tall and spoke about the cultural, historical, and literary importance on every chapter in front of the class. None of them realized that the myths he shared were more than just stories but actually drawn from his real life encounters. He was quietly glad that even after leaving the hunting life behind, he was still doing some good in the world.
He was now watching the students rushing in and settled in their seats, occasionally offering greetings as they passed his desk. Just as he stood up to start the class, you stepped in. Something about you made his heart flip. He couldn’t explain it exactly except that there was a sense of familiarity to your presence. He swallowed and watched you intently before subtly averting his gaze, aware that staring at a student so intensely was probably inappropriate.
Oblivious to the situation, you took a seat and set your bag down on the side of your chair. Sam gathered himself. What was it about you that made him feel that way? He knew it was way deeper than your looks. More than the way your hair softly brushed on your shoulders. More than the sharp gaze you had yet laced with gentleness in them. He quickly cleared his throat, trying to get his mind back on track to start the introduction of the class.
He watched you for months. Sam learned your name, exchanged some quick conversations with you and graded your essays. Your writings had always been good. Impressive, even. You always wrote everything so vividly. Almost like you had lived through them.
He must be reading into this much, he thought but he couldn’t shake this feeling. His whole life, he had always been perceptive. Years of sharp instincts and gut feelings trained as a skilled hunter never failed him. He couldn’t shake the tension in his chest. He needed to know more about you.
Over time, Sam began noticing more. There was a scar at the nape of your neck. So eerily familiar, like the one hidden under his sleeve. A fighting scar. Maybe it could be a coincidence—he told himself. Maybe you were caught in a fight. Still, he didn't stop watching you.
Weeks passed, and he noticed even more details. You carried a leather-bound journal. It was thick with notes, research, and observations about the very lores he taught. When you thought he wasn’t looking, you scribbled in it constantly. The notes you had were not the typical notes his students usually do. No. Yours ran deeper. Deeper than the surface level stuff he had been teaching.
And once, as he walked by your desk, a flash of silver caught the light just at the right time. What was it... A dagger, perhaps?
Then, one morning, as you bent to set your bag down, your top rode up slightly and Sam’s eyes widened in shock. He felt like everything in the room was frozen in time when he saw it. It was brief but unmistakable.
That was the anti-possession tattoo on your lower back. That pentagram-enclosed symbol to ward off demons. He knew then what exactly it meant. What he suspected all along.
You were a hunter.
He released the breath that he didn't realize he'd been holding. He felt the heat rose to his cheeks as he realized that his eyes were still glued to your lower back and snapped his gaze away before you could notice. Although, the image of you bending down was already seared in his mind. What was wrong with him? He thought. You were his student. He was being inappropriate.
Something stirred in Sam and it was more than just curiousity about who you were. You were young, vulnerable. His chest tightened. He had left that life behind, but he couldn’t let you face danger alone. The realization dawned on him that being involved could pull him right back to where he left off again. Yet, keeping people safe were still his priority. That's what made Sam who he was. The one who put others before himself.
Class was wrapping up as Sam mulled his choice. Should he say something ... or not? His fingers tapped on his desk in anxiety.
His heart pounded. Every fibre of his instincts told him yes. But was it his duty? He watched you pack, his chest tight with tension. Something about you pulled him so strongly. He was just your professor and you were just his student. It might cross some boundaries but he couldn't just ignore what he had discover.
When he saw everyone start packing up, he didn’t have time to think and the words just slipped out of his mouth, “Hey, uh y/n? Do you mind staying back for a little bit?”
Your face shot up, confused but hinted with an acceptance and a nod.
“Yes, Professor,” you responded as you gathered your stuff and took soft steps towards his desk.
He waited until everyone cleared the room and looked back up at you.
“Close the door,” he said clear, although no hint of harshness in his tone.
part two here
Author's note: Hey, guys. This is my first ever spn fanfic on this page so let me know if you want a part two. I just want to post first and see how it takes off. If you like it, part two would be reader's POV as this one was Sam's POV!

Okay, silly ask and you can decline if you don’t do the pregnancy stuff! But I was thinking a Crosshair x reader where they were an item pre-O66, and then the Kaller and brainwashing happened and they went separate ways because, ya know, chip went: “yo kill your brothers those hoes ain’t loyal.” While they’re separated, reader finds out she’s pregnant, and Crosshair only finds out when he lures the rest of the batch back to Kamino and they’re in that training room.
(Bonus if the rest of the batch only found out semi-recently too because reader’s mentality was “okay, I’m pregnant, no biggie. I’ll tell them later when it actually becomes an issue” and Tech figured it out right away but never said anything either)
That's What Family Does
Summary: Being pregnant sucks. Being pregnant with the baby of a man who’s actively hunting the people keeping you safe is worse. The fact that you still love him is just the icing on the “bad year” cake. Still, you probably should have listened to Hunter when he told you to stay on the Marauder rather than risk Crosshair seeing you. Ah well, you’ve never been the best at listening.
Pairing: TBB Crosshair x F!Reader
Word Count: 1771
Warnings: Pregnancy and Childbirth, and complicated relationships
Tagging: @trixie2023 @n0vqni @imabeautifulbutterfly @kimiheartblade @mire-draws-things
A/N: So, I know next to nothing about childbirth, on account that I'm both childfree and infertile, so it's never been something that I had to worry about. So I did almost no research on this topic. Also, I've still never watched TBB, so I played around with...everything. But this has also been half-written for the better part of two weeks, and I just needed inspiration to strike me. Anyway, I hope you like it!
Tumblr media
“You just had to come with us, didn’t you?” Hunter hisses as he shoves you behind Wrecker, “Why don’t you ever listen?”
“Because you’re not my mother,” You hiss right back at him, as you grab the over-large shirt that Echo’s been trying to shove over your head for the last five minutes and pull it on. It does…very little to hide your stomach. But then, the boys, and Omega, have only recently found out about your pregnancy. And only because you finally started showing and couldn’t hide it anymore.
Needless to say, Hunter and Echo weren’t thrilled about the sudden surprise. Wrecker was torn between excitement and dismay. And Omega…well, she’s been bubbling with excitement since she found out.
“Great, now we have to keep anyone from finding out that you are 8 months pregnant with a clone baby.” Hunter grouses, “Omega, stay with her.”
Omega nods rapidly, and wraps her arms around you, “I’ll bite anyone who tries to touch her.”
Absently, you pet Omega’s head and glare at Hunter, “Well, if you don’t say the words ‘clone’ and ‘baby’ next to each other, no one will ever know.”
“Yes, because your relationship with Crosshair was the best-kept secret on Kamino,” Hunter replies, deadpan, “there’s absolutely no way that anyone will ever figure out that you're pregnant with his baby.”
“Okay, tone down the sass, Mister. It’s not helping.”
Hunter grabs your shoulders, “You irk me. You’re irksome.”
“Hey! I’m pregnant, you can’t talk to me like that!”
For a moment, you think Hunter is going to shake you, but he stops when Tech taps his back, “He is here.”
Abruptly, you’re shoved back behind Wrecker and Echo, nearly tripping over Omega who’s still wrapped around you, and you only manage to catch a glimpse of Crosshair.
His face is pinched and angry-looking, and you see his hand twitching towards his blaster.
Oh, you really hope that this doesn’t turn into a firefight. You don’t want to have to explain to your baby how they don’t have a dad because he got himself killed.
That would be awkward.
The nice thing is you’ve sped through all five stages of grief, and have just accepted that Crosshair isn’t the man you thought he was. And here you thought you were going to need, like, so much therapy to come to terms with it.
“Hunter.” Crosshair’s voice is cold. Colder than you’ve ever heard before.
“Cross,” Hunter sounds tense, and you feel a pang of guilt. He wouldn’t be half as stressed if you and Omega just stayed on the ship. If you get out of this alive, and, you know, not a prisoner of the Empire, you should make him some apology cookies.
There’s a tense silence and Wrecker adjusts his weight slightly. You can tell by his body language, Echo’s too, that if this turns violent, the pair of them will remove you and Omega from the scene. Then again, that does tend to be their job most of the time.
“I assume you’re here to surrender.” Crosshair says. You know him better than anyone, you can tell he doesn’t believe a word coming out of his mouth.
Hesitantly, you peek around Wrecker and Crosshair sees you immediately. His sharp gaze lingers on you for a moment, and you see something like regret flicker across his face, though it vanishes as soon as Echo shoves you back behind Wrecker.
“You have to leave the doctor behind,” Crosshair says flatly.
“No,” Tech says immediately.
“She belongs to the Empire.”
“Technically, my contract is with the Republ—” You counter, indignently.
“Stop talking!” Hunter, Tech, and Echo say in unison and you close your mouth without finishing your thought.
Hunter glances at you, and then at Crosshair, “She’s not a slave, Crosshair. She can come and go as she pleases.”
You can hear the argument continuing in the background, but you’re not really listening anymore.
Something doesn’t feel right.
And then you’re slammed with a cramp so intense that your legs nearly buckle. Your hand lands heavily on Omega’s shoulder and you exhale sharply. “Are you okay?” The little girl whispers, doing her best to not draw too much attention to herself…or you.
“We need to get back to the Marauder.” You say though clenched teeth.
“That’s the plan, but—”
“Meg.” You interrupt her, “I’m pretty sure I’ve just gone into labor.” You keep your voice very, very calm, not wanting to scare her, but she stares at you with wide eyes.
“WHAT!?” The men stop arguing at Omega’s panicked shout and turn towards her. “You…you can’t! It’s too early! You’re only 8 months!” Omega continues, her voice pitching high in her panic.
You don’t answer her. Can’t answer her, really, because you’re too busy trying to breathe through the waves of pain that kind of make you want to cry, scream, and throw up all at the same time.
You’re pretty sure you’d sell all of the clones on Kamino for some pain medicine.
You’re also pretty sure that that’s the pain talking and you’ll feel bad for having that thought as soon as you’re no longer in labor.
The waves of pain fade enough for you to recognize that your boys are in the middle of panicking around you. Panicking and not helping you.
Great.
Lovely.
Super.
You reach out and grab Wrecker’s forearm, “I need to get to a bed, preferably on the Marauder, because if I have to give birth in a training room, I’m going to murder all of you.” You say through gritted teeth.
And then Crosshair is there, his gaze lingering on your stomach, and if you were feeling even remotely charitable you’d say that he looks guilty and hurt.
But, you’re in so much pain right now that you really couldn’t care less.
“Why didn’t you tell me you were pregnant?” He asks.
You grab him by the collar of his armor, “I am in the process of pushing a watermelon out a hole the size of a lemon. And it’s all your fault.” You snap, “I need to get to the Marauder.”
“...you know it takes two people to make a baby, kitten—”
The string of curses that fall from your lips after his comment, is enough that the boys push themselves into high gear and then rush you back to the ship.
Tumblr media
24 hours of hard labor later, your babies are finally here.
And you finally know why you went into labor early.
Turns out you were pregnant with twins. Twin girls, to be specific.
Right now they’re sleeping in a cradle that Echo stole from Kamino, wrapped in a black and a red blanket specifically.
So far, Hunter, Echo, Wrecker, Tech, and Omega have come to meet the babies. But no Crosshair, though you know he’s still on the ship.
Hunter said that Crosshair refused to leave while you were still in labor. And now that they’re born, he wants to raise them with you.
It’s a nice thought, you suppose. Aside from the whole “wanting to kill his brothers” thing.
Plus, he still hasn’t come to meet the babies.
You tilt your head to the side as one of the babies yawns widely and then falls back to sleep. You hear the door slide open and then shut again. When you look up, you see Crosshair standing, awkwardly, at the door.
He’s dressed in his blacks and isn’t armed.
Hunter probably told him no weapons in the medbay. He’s a good brother-in-law, you’re lucky to have him.
“They’re cute.” Crosshair says as he walks over to the babies and peers down at them.
“They look like wrinkly potatoes.” You correct.
“I don’t think you’re supposed to say that?”
“I just spent 24 hours pushing them out of my vagina. If I want to call them potatoes, then I’m going to call them potatoes.”
“Ah,” He’s quiet for a moment, “Are you…okay? There was a lot of blood, Tech said.”
“Yeah, well…he had a bunch of my blood stored up for this scenario. Just in case.” You admit with a shrug, “I’ll recover. I’m going to be weak for a while though.”
“What are you naming them?”
“...I dunno. I was only expecting one baby, not two.” You pull your blanket up higher, “You’re such an overachiever.”
“...I’m sorry?”
“Whatever. I’m too tired to be properly angry.” You pause, “We are going to have to talk, Crosshair.”
He rubs the back of his head, “Yeah. I know.”
“You walked away.”
“I know.”
“And it was easy for you to do. How could it be so easy for you to walk away?”
He sighs, “I’m sorry.”
“Would you have even come with us if I didn’t go into labor?” You ask.
Crosshair shakes his head, “I don’t know.” He pauses, “You’re mad.”
“I think I have good cause to be mad, don’t you?”
“Yeah, I guess.” He’s quiet for a moment, “A condition of me staying with you and the twins is getting the chip out. And no weapons until they’re sure that I’m not going to try to hurt anyone.”
“Let me guess…Hunter?”
Crosshair nods, “He’s very…protective.”
“He always has been. But Hunter was the one who let me cry on his shoulder when you walked away. He might be a bit angrier at you than anyone else.”
“I didn’t mean to make you cry.”
You shrug, “Well, you did.”
The pair of you fall into a, slightly, awkward silence, and then you sigh, “Luna.”
“Sorry?”
“The twin with the silver hair, I’m going to call her Luna, I think.” Crosshair blinks at you, and then glances at the babies, finally noticing that one of the babies has his coloring, while the other one has yours.
“And what about her sister?”
“Don’t you want to name one?”
He looks momentarily surprised, and then he glances at the baby who looks like you, “Willow. I want to name her Willow.”
You tilt your head curiously.
Crosshair doesn’t acknowledge your silent question for a moment, and then a small smile lifts the corner of his lips, “The first date we went on was a picnic under a willow tree.”
“...I’m surprised you remembered that.”
“It’s important.”
You watch him for a moment, and then laugh softly, “Alright. Luna and Willow, then.” You allow your gaze to linger on Crosshair as he looks over the twins, and your smile widens.
The both of you aren’t okay. There are a lot of wrongs that need to be righted. But…well, he’s here. And you can’t help but think that that’s a step in the right direction.

Sleeping Headcanons
Bad Batch x reader
Masterlist
A/n: It's been some time since I've done headcanons for the Batch, thought I'd fix that.
Warnings: Not proof read, mentions being stressed and overwhelmed Hunter's part, having nightmares in Echo's and Crosshair's, one suggestive thing in Tech's part, let me know if I missed anything.
Characters: Hunter, Echo, Wrecker, Crosshair and Tech x reader.
Word Count: ~850.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hunter
Depends on how he’s feeling that day. If he’s had a rough mission or just stressful day in general, he’ll prefer to be close to you, but not too much. Going to sleep facing each other would be ideal, he can still feel you close to him, feel your warmth and your scent, and he won’t be overwhelmed.
If he wasn’t stressed or overwhelmed, he’d prefer to spoon you, more specifically being the big spoon while you’re the little one. He wished his senses weren’t so inconsistent, that way he could fall asleep surrounded by your warmth every night.
Because of his heightened senses it can be hard to fall asleep, so he usually tries to sleep during hyperspace travels in the Marauder or when he’s in the Batch’s barracks. But even in those moments where he knows everyone’s safe, the smallest of sounds can still wake him up.
Tumblr media
Echo
Echo has a hard time falling asleep, the nightmares from his time in Skako Minor are relentless almost every night, so much that he often offers to take the night turn instead of sleeping.
Despite craving it, he won’t ever ask you to sleep with him, he fears his thrashing around and screaming might scare you or, even worse, hurt you, also, he can only imagine how uncomfortable his metal body parts would feel on yours. If you insist and reassure him enough, he’ll accept it as long as agree to leave the bed if he starts having a nightmare or if he’s making you uncomfortable.
So, from that day on, you two would sleep face to face a few centimeters apart, and what he didn’t expect was to sleep so much better with you, just your presence there was enough to comfort him, to the point even his nightmares became more frequent.
When he did have a bad one, instead of keeping your promise, you calmed him down and, once he was better, held him close to your chest.
He was angry for the first few minutes, but the way your soft chest rose and fell and how your calm heartbeat soothed his accelerated one, he quickly forgave you. From then on, he could say with certainty that his favorite sleeping position was on your chest, hugging you close to him.
Tumblr media
Wrecker
Wrecker can sleep anywhere at any time. It’s shocking how fast he falls asleep regardless of place or noise. Speaking of which, he often snores. Very loud.
Obviously, he likes to sleep cuddling Lula, or at least have her near him, but his favorite way to go to sleep is cuddling with you rather than the plushie, so no need to worry about being replaced.
He loves when you sleep on top of him, him on his back and you sprawled on his chest, and you can put your whole weight on him, he says he likes it that way. Also, he’s usually the big spoon, but doesn’t mind being the little one too.
Wrecker sleeps like a rock, it’s hard to wake him up unless he wants to. So be sure to use the bathroom before you go to bed with him, otherwise you might be stuck with him caging you in his arms.
Tumblr media
Crosshair
Crosshair has no trouble sleeping, often times he just chooses not to. He can sleep in noisy environments just fine, and the place doesn’t matter. In fact, he can sleep while standing, so it’s not uncommon to find him napping standing in a corner.
Initially, he won’t be thrilled to share a bed with you, he just values his space, nothing to do with you. Eventually he’ll give in, and despite his grumbling, he doesn’t find your presence too bad (he loves it).
Likes to have your head on his chest or to spoon you, being the big spoon, of course. Well, when it’s just the two of you, which is rare, he’ll let you spoon him, but don’t dare tell anyone this, if you do, he won’t ever let you spoon him again.
Sometimes he has nightmares, specially after Tantiss, in these cases, he won’t object too much if you try to help him. He’d be eternally grateful if you stayed and held him through it instead of leaving, but he won’t make it too obvious.
Tumblr media
Tech
Tech? Sleeping?
Tech’s mind is always hyperactive; there’s rarely a time when he’s not thinking about something, he’s often awake doing some kind of research of tinkering with his creations.
Which means it’d be rare for him to go to bed with you, if he did, he’d probably feel like he’d explode from the idleness.
He’ll neglect his sleep schedule until he absolutely can’t anymore, then he’ll lean anywhere relatively comfortable and black out.
If his absence bothers you, he’ll offer sit by your bunk while he’s working. He didn’t think it’d make any difference to sit on a desk or besides your sleeping form, but he often finds himself tearing his attention away from his creations to your relaxed face. He can’t help but admire you, making a mental note to do this more often.
If you somehow get him to lay down with you, he’d prefer sleep side to side or facing you, unless it’s a special occasion or you two had just finished doing the deed, then he’ll make an effort to be close to you and let you choose how you want to sleep that night.

Summary: This is an ABO Bad batch!Poly x Omega Reader smut with a plot. This takes place as an AU before order 66. Y/N previously served under the 501st before being transferred to Special Forces 99. This is her adventure with these rowdy Alphas in a quickly changing universe.
THIS IS AN ABO AU ABOUT THE BAD BATCH (NO CANON OMEGA!) Due to the unfortunate situation of her name being Omega… Omega the child from the canon series is not going to be apart of this fanfic/porn with a plot. I feel obligated to put this warning in because it makes my skin crawl thinking anyone could make that mistake.
No warnings for this, just world building... welcome lol.

─ ⋅ ⋅ ⋅ ──── ♡ ─── ⋅ ⋅ ⋅ ──
After approximately 90 rotations aboard the Marauder, give or take a few days, you were ready to disembark.
Tech, of course, calculated the accurate amount of time, but you were running on inner planetary standard time. You were exhausted. Truly and totally exhausted. The battles along the outer rim were beginning to overtake every waking thought, and the war only seemed to be escalating. Even though you were just a medical technician, it seemed like you never had a moment to breathe.
The boys had been sent on one mission after another to the most backwater planets you’d never even heard of. In the beginning of working with Clone Force 99, you were thrilled.
Tired of being on the front lines with Captain Rex and General Skywalker, you thought this would have been a cakewalk compared to tending to the 501st. (Or as you liked to call them, the most reckless GAR unit in history.) Boy, were you wrong…
Rex assigning you to Clone Force 99 had been one of the most challenging places you think a young medic like yourself could have gone.
These men, in particular, were a unique kind of reckless, and they always seemed to end up in the craziest situations.
That didn’t mean you didn’t come to grow fond of them, but as GAR procedure demands, they must return to Coruscant for their quarterly medical examinations, and you were relieved.
While you didn’t particularly care for the bustle of the high-density planet, you could appreciate not being shot at, chased, or bombed at any given second.
The Marauder also didn’t offer the same level of comfort as the Venator Attack Cruisers you’d become accustomed to staying on for months at a time. But it’s alright, you’ve come to enjoy your time with special force 99.
For a bunch of chaotic Alphas, they were pleasant company.
Sergeant Hunter was the leader and a remarkable tracker. You couldn’t help but marvel at his heightened abilities; it was really interesting from a medical standpoint. Tech had the brain capacity of a supercomputer and his ex-arc trooper friend, Echo. You actually had known Echo from your early days serving under the 501st.
It was nice having him around; he seemed to keep the peace and offered some much-needed familiarity. Then there was Wrecker, the sweetest man-child you’d ever met. He had a love for blowing things up, which you found hilarious, and finally, there was Crosshair. You never really knew where you stood with the man. Echo told you it’s because he’s not used to strangers hanging out with his brothers, but you weren’t quite sure. The Alpha was quiet and calculated. He didn’t miss a thing, not with his heightened reflexes. He never said much to you; he often operated in silence unless it was to piss off Hunter, which seemed to be more often than you realized.
He, however, treated you indifferently. It was just odd for an Alpha to not acknowledge an Omega. Not to say you needed his attention, it was just different. You speculated it had to do with his genetic mutations; maybe he was too good at focusing on his objective. Omegas hardly phased him.
“You ready, Pip?” Wrecker gave your shoulders a gentle shake.
You smiled at the nickname. “Yeah Wreck, ugh I just really want a real shower.” You sighed, getting a little impatient.
The Marauder was waiting for landing clearance while you made quick work stowing away the last few stray supplies. You made notes of all the supplies that had been depleted, which was most of it. You shook your head; you’d be raiding the GAR supply facility before deployment for certain.
“You and me both,” Hunter snorted and settled down in one of the chairs in the cockpit.
Poor guy, you realized, probably had the worst of it all. Living amongst five sweaty dirty men and one medic had his scent on overdrive. Not to mention the dulled pheromones. Being surrounded by so many alphas, the stench was probably awful for him.
You, however, being an omega on the smaller side, couldn’t smell much, not with your implant which was due for replacement this quarter. Hunter never mentioned anything to you about smell. You just hoped it wasn’t too much for him with all of your implants thankfully. It never seemed like an issue for him.
“We’re clear for landing,” Echo chirped from the copilot seat. Everyone came up to the front to strap into the jump seats. Crosshair brought your packed bag up with him and placed it gently under your feet before he took the seat next to you and strapped in. You thanked him, and he gave you a silent nod still chewing on his toothpick.
Echo and Tech gently landed the Marauder in the GAR main hangar bay and finished up the last cross check before disembarking. Wrecker was kind and offered to carry your duffle filled with your civvies and toiletries. You thanked him and followed him out of the Marauder. Taking a deep breath of fresh air, you smiled at the feeling of real sun on your skin.
Looking down the steps, you squealed, noticing all of the white and blue plastoid on the other side of the hangar bay. Running at full speed, you nearly tripped over your own feet, flinging yourself at Kix.
He noticed you last minute and swooped you up into his arms, “Hey Tiny! I didn’t know you were on rotation already?” He picked you up and spun you around before putting you down. Your excitement to see your old unit was overwhelming; you couldn’t help but smile as more of your friends on the 501st ran over to give you a hug or a playful shove.
You missed the way Wrecker gawked at your reaction to the Regs. “Well, she certainly doesn’t do that with us,” Tech noted, watching you rub up against the alphas in a comforting manner, purring under their affection.
“Fucking Regs,” Crosshair groused.
Echo remembered how fond you are of the 501st. He remembered when you were a newbie just starting your medical field days bonding with General Tano as teens. He felt a little nostalgic watching you with his vod. He laughed remembering how Ahsoka would scent you before sending you out into the field. They loved you so much.
Tech noted how comfortable you were with their touch and scenting. Something no one in their unit ever attempted with you. Of course, they were aware of your designation, but they tried their hardest to be respectful. Hunter had made it extremely clear no one was supposed to touch you unless necessary. It had been six months of your service on their unit, and no one has ever gotten this close with you except Wrecker, but it wasn’t anything like that.
The alpha in Tech was a little upset by this. Why didn’t the omega feel comfortable with them?
Hunter listened to the way you preened under their attention, and his chest pained a bit hearing your purrs. Was he… jealous? No. That’s his medic, that's all. He had read your file; you’d been with them for most of the war. Of course, that would make you closer. He could smell the happy pheromones you spread from where they were. You were happy with the 501st’s attention; it wasn’t something he knew you craved.
“I’m here for quarterlies,” you tapped your shoulder, “And I’m due for replacement.” You sighed. “Ahh,” Kix smirked, “Difficult enough dealing with us reg alphas huh? Gotta deal with defects now too huh? Got that implant working overtime.”
You rolled your eyes and shoved him.
A cough behind you caught your attention. You spun around to see your unit catching up, looking a little perturbed, especially Crosshair. He’s never warmed up to the Regs and didn’t particularly like you sharing your fond stories about them. You usually keep to yourself in his presence or else he’d get a little hostile.
“Sarge,” Kix greeted with a head tilt.
“Kix,” Hunter gave him a polite nod, “Captain.” He looked beyond you.
You spun around, “Rex!” You ran at him, wrapping yourself around your old captain. “Hey kid,” he laughed, giving you a pat on the head looking down at you.
 “I’m older than you, Captain,” you rolled your eyes with a smile.
“So you like to remind me,” he laughed, suddenly realizing how much he had missed you.
You stepped back with a huge smile. Suddenly everything was starting to feel good again. 90 rotations didn’t seem so terrible anymore. You giggled as they all filed in demanding to know how you’ve been.
 “We’re heading to 79’s later,” Jesse smiled, “You gotta come Y/N. I wanna hear about your adventures to the outer rim.”
“Especially me,” Fives trotted forwards shoving you playfully aside before embracing his brother Echo, “Vod!” He hugged Echo tight. Echo relaxed into his hug and gave him a curt smile. “How you doing?” Fives asked, wrapping his arm around Echo’s shoulder before walking off with him towards the barracks to no doubt catch up.
“I got a replacement due,” you sighed, “I can’t drink but I’ll stop by for a bit to catch up!”
They all seemed to light up at that, “See you there, kid!” Captain Rex gave you a nod and turned on his heel to get back to work and make sure the General’s Venator was getting proper maintenance.
“C’mon, Pip,” Hunter was leading the others towards the medical campus for their quarterlies.
You huffed, “Coming, Sarge.”
“Pip?” You heard the others laugh a bit at your new nickname when you trailed off behind your new unit. Damn their long legs you were struggling to hold pace with them.
Crosshair gave you an incredulous look watching you try to catch up. You gave it right back to him.
“Miss your precious Regs?” He sneered. You didn’t miss the way Tech’s shoulders stiffened. Wrecker and Hunter pretended not to hear, but you knew they did. You suddenly missed having Echo as your defense.
“What?” You looked at him.
“You heard me,” he growled.
“Of course I missed my old unit. I haven’t seen them in six standard months, Crosshair.”
“That all?” He was cold.
“What is that supposed to mean?” You stopped and crossed your arms forcing him to stop walking.
Crosshair pointed his toothpick at you, “Throwing yourself at a bunch of alphas like a bitch in hea-”
 “Enough!” Hunter growled.
Your cheeks burned red. How dare he. You looked to Wrecker and then Tech but the looks on their faces didn’t exactly show any support for you. Did they agree?…Maker. Wrecker lowered his gaze which surprised you the most.
Crosshair never really said much to you besides if you asked him an immediate question about his health or an injury. He usually somewhat avoided you. But you never thought he disliked you, at least up until now. The disgust was obvious on his face.
You just shook your head and continued stalking towards the medical campus, ignoring Hunter’s call. Your shore-leave was becoming more and more desirable by the second. You wanted space especially from Mr. dark and gloomy.
Deciding you’ve had enough of them, you detoured for your department entrance leaving them to go into the main medical campus alone. You knew Tech had all of your reports stowed on his datapad records. They would survive without you at least for now. You thought you heard Wrecker whimper behind you, but the sound of ion engines priming drowned out the rest before you stepped inside the medic clinic. Fuck Crosshair. What a dickhead.
You shook your head knowing you had other things to focus on besides his stupid little attitude.
Passing through multiple security clearances, you stepped into the sterile clinic’s main lobby.
“Medic Y/L/N?” You heard a familiar soft voice.
“Hi Layla.” You smiled sweetly at the nurse who you came to know during your training program. Being an omega, she opted to stay on base instead of venturing out into the battle fronts she was definitely more gentle mannered than yourself. You preferred some action and excitement.
“In for your quarterly’s?”
"Yeah, and I need a new replacement implant," you muttered as you trailed behind Layla toward one of the deserted exam rooms. The clinical white walls felt suffocating, a stark contrast to the chaotic memories you shared here. You reminisced about your early days serving the GAR, where Layla and you tended to wounded soldiers and even brushed shoulders with the occasional Jedi. But that was before you were transferred to General Skywalker’s unit, thrust into the heart of battle and endless repairs for him and his Padawan. You missed the simplicity of those days, the camaraderie with Layla.
”How’s the 501st treating you?" Layla's voice broke through your reverie as she handed you a crumpled paper gown.
"I got transferred to Special Forces 99," you replied, shedding your uniform behind the flimsy curtain. "They’re a different breed, that's for sure."
"Clone Force 99?" Layla's eyebrows rose in curiosity.
“Yeah.” you confirmed, feeling a flicker of amusement at her reaction.
As Layla chewed on her pen, a mischievous glint danced in her eyes. "The Sergeant’s pretty hot."
Your cheeks flushed, and you nearly stumbled over your words before recovering. “Layla…” You gawked.
She giggled and sat down on her roller stool. "Don’t lie and say you’ve never thought about it."
Well, obviously you’ve thought about it. They’re all honestly pretty hot, but you’d never admit that out loud.
"Now where have you seen Hunter like that?" you giggled at her cheekiness.
"I watch the holonet streams every once in a while. Especially after the retrieval on Skako Minor, General Skywalker and Sergeant CT-9901 were all over the holonet for weeks," she mused. "An omega’s wet dream."
You screamed and threw your boot at her. You two looked at each other momentarily before bursting out into a fit of laughter. Man, you missed Layla. Honestly, you just missed having another girl to talk to. This was such a refresher from the overwhelming amount of Alpha.
You hopped up on the table, lying down, trying to get comfortable.
"What’s he like?" her tone shifted into mischief.
You hesitated, memories of Hunter flooding your mind. "He’s… different. Polite, I guess."
Layla raised an eyebrow, her expression demanding the truth. “Girl…” she slapped your shoulder, grabbing her scanner to document your entire system from head to toe.
"Well, I don’t know!" you put your hands up in defense. "He’s quite the gentleman. None of them so much as look, Layla, I swear."
She just looked at you with a raised brow while she continued her work, “Yeah right.”
"But…" you smirked, watching her work, "I do know the tattoos go to his feet…" you bit your lip.
Now it was her turn to choke. "You’re lying…" Her interest was piqued.
You shook your head. "Full skeleton all the way down his arm, ribs, thigh…"
You two sighed.
She finished her scan and input the data before sliding her roller chair right next to you. "Everywhere?"
You raised a brow. "Everywhere," you confirmed with a nod.
She put her hand over her chest in a dramatic manner before prepping the numbing agent for your implant.
You remembered the day you found out this information about your Sergeant. Up until this point, you’d only seen maybe an arm or some knuckles in your medical repairs, but this time Hunter had taken a pretty bad hit to his side and thigh. Multiple blaster wounds had torn him up, and Tech had helped him limp back to the ship before they both collapsed on the floor. You had flung yourself out of your bunk at the commotion only to realize what had happened.
Tech helped you tear off Hunter’s armor and helmet, trying to figure out where the wounds were. Luckily, they hadn’t gone through, and it was mostly just surface wounds, but you still had to cut through his blacks to get to it, leaving his entire left side exposed. He had growled at you, but Tech had set him straight. He was just in pain.
That’s when you realized his entire left side was tattooed like his face, all the way down to his feet. You mumbled a quick apology before starting your cleaning process and bacta application.
The wounds had healed up nicely, but he had to re-tattoo the fresh skin the next time they had shore-leave. You had also stowed away the information of how muscular he was. The man was truly a work of art.
A sharp jab snapped you out of your memories when Layla removed the old suppressor implant. You yelped when the new one went in, making you a bit dizzy with pain. You hissed when she retracted the mechanism.
"There we go," she beamed. "Good as new."
"Thanks, Layla," you said, sitting up, letting her bandage the small incision wound with a bacta patch. The soothing coldness was immediate. You sighed in relief as the pain dulled.
"I told Rex I’d be at 79’s later, if you want to come?" you offered, slipping from the table to give her a hug.
"As much as I’d love to play with the captain, I have so much work to catch up on for quarterly's. I better stay here," she sighed, pushing her chair back into place. "But you have fun, and enjoy your time off. Come back to visit if you get bored."
You giggled. "I will." And with that, she left you to change back into your uniform before leaving the medic’s clinic. The hangar bay was significantly more empty now as you made your way over to civilian transport. After exiting the security checkpoint, you made your way over to the clone transport. "Can you take me to residential?" you asked the officer in the pilot’s seat. He gave you a nod, and you settled back into the transport’s seats. With a sigh, you were finally starting to relax a bit. You knew the boys were probably already back at their barracks after their examinations, so you knew they wouldn’t be bothering you for at least a few rotations.
When you finally arrived to the GAR residential building you gave the driver a thanks before hoping out and skipping over to the front door. You couldn’t wait to get to your quarters and enjoy a long hot shower. Swiping your clearance card, you dashed into the elevator to your floor and into your room. It smelled like you needed to open a window but other then that is was just as you left it. Knowing you’d have to get some food delivered, you gave a dramatic sigh while kicking off your regulation boots. You went to unzip your uniform top when you heard the swish of clothing and a familiar scoff.
You turned suddenly seeing Crosshair standing in your kitchen in his civvies looking tall and menacing.
“Maker! Crosshair!” You put a hand on your chest, “You scared me!”
“Sorry little one.” He didn’t sound sorry at all.
You looked around suddenly remembering you’re in YOUR apartment.
“What the hell are you doing here Crosshair?” You narrowed your gaze at him getting mad all over again.
“Hunter is making me apologize for earlier.” He grumbled around his toothpick.
You hummed, “How did you get in here?”
He held up the Sergeant’s entry card. Of course… dammit Hunter.
“Here.” He slid your duffle across the floor to you. A peace offering. You were grateful for that at least.
A deep pang in your shoulder made you grimace “Thanks.” You unzipped your uniform top leaving you in your bindings not caring if he looked. He didn’t seem phased anyways. The bacta patch stained red with your blood. He narrowed his eyes to the incision. You knelt down to your duffle and pulled out your field kit. You grabbed a dose of pain killer and brought the injector up to the wound site. You pressed the mechanism and the needle stabbed you quickly injecting the medicine. You rolled your shoulder and replaced the bacta patch seeing the wound turning to a simple line. Soon it would be gone in a few hours.
“So?” You looked at the tall sniper.
He lifted a brow.
You crossed your arms, “Your apology?”
He snorted and stood up straight before walking past you.
“Sorry.” He mumbled before stepping back out into the hallway and disappearing.
You sighed knowing that was all you’re going to get from the grumpy soldier. Whatever, you’d take it.
~~~
The shower that followed was worth it. You had never felt so clean in your few years in this universe. The piping hot water cleansed you of three standard months of sweat, bomb residue, and blood. You scrubbed and scrubbed until your skin flared red before you stepped out of the shower to get ready. Throwing on your favorite civvies and some makeup, you quickly dried your hair before throwing on your regulation boots. Grabbing your com and a few credits. You practically skipped out of your apartment making a beeline for 79’s. You couldn’t wait to catch up with your old friends.
When you arrived, you heard an uproar of men yelling your name. You looked over to see Fives, Jesse, Kix, and the others wave you over.
“Tiny!” You got tackled by Fives. He put you in a headlock and ruffled your hair despite your cries. You shoved him off of you knowing he must have scented you in the process.
“Ugh! Fives you reek.” You scrunched your nose smelling the alpha on him it was stronger then usual.
“Sorry tiny.” He laughed rubbing the back of his neck, “We gotta get our implants replaced too.”
You shook your head and plopped down in the booth next to Kix with a laugh. He shoved the snack plate in your face continuing his conversation with another soldier to his right. You were starving and started munching down on the mantell mix.
“Hope that wont be a problem kid.” Rex smiled at you.
You just yanked your collar down to show them the patch, “All good captain.”
That made them relax. The 501st is many things, but they were always chivalrous towards you. Being their favorite omega and all, they had always taken a very protective stance with you. None of them tried anything and they had always kept away the creeps. You were thankful for their protection.
Your current hoard of alphas though, you didn’t really know where you stood with them. They kind of pretended like you weren’t there. You quickly realized they weren’t used to working with strangers, and an omega of all things. At first they treated you like a fragile little thing. Like they were worried they’d step on you. They couldn’t help but stare. You didn’t really blame them. Eventually it wore off and they seemed to become a bit more comfortable with your presence. Until it became normal. Except Crosshair, he never seemed to warm up to you and kept you at arms length.
“So how’s your new unit?” Fives asked sounding a bit jealous.
You giggled, “They’re.. nice.”
They all looked at you.
“What?” You shrunk under their looks. Even Rex stared.
“Nice?” Jesse laughed.
“That’s not exactly the word I’d use.” Rex raised a brow, “You’re okay, right kid?”
You opened your mouth in shock, “Guys I’m okay. I swear.”
They visibly relaxed.
“Look, it took some getting used to. I don’t think they’ve ever been around strangers before they’re very close. Clearly. Eventually they warmed up. Except the sniper. I think he might actually not like me.”
Fives just scoffed, “It’s because your’e hot cyar’ika”
Jesse punched him in the stomach. Fives doubled over and everyone at the table grumbled at him. You just felt your cheeks burn up and you hid behind Kix’s shoulder.
“Fives…” Rex sighed.
“What?” He choked out, “I’m just saying. I don’t think those defects have been anywhere near a woman much less an omega. Aye!” He blocked Jesse’s punch again.
“What omega?” You heard a gruff voice approach.
It was Commander Wolffe and the pack still in uniform. Rex got up and clapped him on the shoulder getting him settled in. He placed his helmet on the table and peered over at you.
“I don’t think we’ve met cyar’ika.” He grinned at you showing off his scar and grey iris.
You felt your heart rate increase under his intense stare. You could tell this alpha was seasoned, first generation from the looks of him. You were certain that if you didn’t have your implant, you'd be keening for his attention. Instead, you submissively lowered your gaze and leaned into Kix a bit. He wrapped an arm around you and looked up at the Commander, saying, “This is Y/N; we call her Tiny.” He shook you playfully, adding, “She used to be our medic. Now she’s with the 99’s.”
Wolffe let out a low whistle. “The 99’s? Must be exciting. Nice to meet you, Y/N,” he said, extending a hand, which you took, giving it a good shake. His calloused fingers lingered a bit as he ran them over your soft knuckles.
Looking up at him from beneath your lashes, you said, “Nice to meet you, Commander,” giving him a polite smile.
He smiled back, clearly pleased with your attention. Oh, he liked you, you thought to yourself. He then gently released your hand and turned to his men. “Let’s get a round of drinks. We’re off for quarterly’s!”
His men let out a whooping shout, and the waitress took down their orders. The pack quickly became rowdy, opting for roughhousing with each other and the shinies. After a long while of dodging his gaze and eating the food Kix placed in front of you, you decided you needed a cold glass of water and squeezed out from under Kix’s arm. The stench of so many alphas was starting to become too much, even with the implant. You were praying they couldn’t smell the nervousness on you.
Walking up to the bar, the woman smiled at you. She recognized you, as you usually spent your time with the boys when you were off. She gave you a little wave and bounced over, asking what you wanted.
“Just water for me,” you smiled. She smiled back and went to fill up your glass.
“What’s a pretty little omega doing in a place like this?” a shiny walked up to you, placing himself uncomfortably close to your back. You turned, facing him square on. Despite all clones being created as alphas, this one was young and stupid. Your omega instincts told you he’d be a weak mate. You noticed the lack of markings and scratches on his armor. He’s barely seen anything, you realized.
“I’m here with my friends,” you replied curtly, taking the glass of ice water from the bartender with a nod. You went to move away, but he caught your arm in a tight grip. Not tight enough to hurt, but tight enough to assert his dominance and stop you from leaving. You just looked at his hand and then up to his face.
“I wasn’t done with you… omega,” he leered, leaning forward to run his nose closer to your scent glands. Your heart rate increased for all the wrong reasons. Fear started to creep up inside you the longer he had his hands on you. Now you wished Fives had scented you for real.
“Why are you messing with my medic?”
You stiffened.
Hunter’s smokey voice cut through the music of the club making your entire spine tingle. Hunter had used his Alpha tone making you tremble in spot. The shiny suddenly looked up eyes going wide. He quickly released you and saluted Hunter.“Sorry Seargant. I didn’t know she was yours.”
“Hmm” Hunter dismissed him and grabbed you by the same arm the shiny had just moments ago, except this time the touch didn’t feel dangerous. Instead it made your stomach flip. He’d never touched you unless it was for medical purposes. You couldn’t help the little preen inside you bubbling up. Alpha Protects. He lead you past the shiny and over to an empty booth in the back of the club. You could hear Layla’s voice ringing in your head. She’d be eating this up right now. You prayed your pheromones didn’t give you away.
He finally let you go when you reached the booth waiting for you to slide in. You immediately missed the warmth of his bare hand. You realized they were all in their civvies, well except tech, he still had his helmet near by. The rest of them slid into the booth following suit.
“She’s smells like Regs.” Wrecker crinkled his nose. Between, Fives, Kix, and the shiny you knew you reeked.
“Sorry.” You mumbled taking a sip of your water still a little pissed with them.
“You okay pip?” Hunter asked looking you in the eyes. You suddenly shied away from his gaze looking down at his shirt collar nodding. His eyes were too intense. You usually didn’t have a problem, but you were still trebling from the effects of his voice lingering.
“Did something happen?” Tech asked from around Hunter’s shoulder.
“I’m alright. Just a dumb shiny.” You felt like you were being suffocated by their stares.
They laughed a bit at that.
“Okay, I can’t take it anymore.” Wrecker shoved you under his arm and rubbed his scent all over you. You coughed and sputtered trying to shove him away but it was no use. Crosshair rolled his eyes.
“Alright Wrecker enough.” Hunter sighed looking down at you drowning in alpha, “She’s covered.”
“Ugh.” You tried to straightening out your hair and top a bit, “Easy next time big guy. I think every alpha for a mile can smell me now.”
He just gleamed. You couldn’t help but be a bit grateful. It seems like everyone was due for an updated implant. The smells were getting to be out of control. No one would come near you now. Even the rough housing seemed to be a little aggressive than usual. They had asked you about the wolf pack but you just shrugged watching their rough housing turn into full on brawls.
The boys continued talking about something random that Tech had info dumped about and Wrecker of course was confused. You continued to sip on your ice water before you heard your name being called. You popped your head up from the booth to find Fives looking for you. You sighed and put your cup down. Part of you didn’t want to go back because of the attention the commander was giving you, but the other part of you wanted to spend some time with Rex and the boys. Damn these alphas.
Opting to stay where you were, Fives and the boys decided to come over towards you. Knowing this was probably going to go badly, you shrunk into the booth. Hunter eyed you before he heard Crosshair snarl. A large group of Regs came trotting over to come socialize like a bunch of drunk pups. They all pulled up chairs and surrounded the booth with their rambunctiousness.
“Where’d you go Tiny?” Jesse was sloshed. Leaning over Fives who was barely holding himself together.
“Tiny, did you see the way the commander was looking at you?” Fives shoved Jesse off of him, “I think he’s trying to-” he jiggled his brows suggestively at you and you just shook your head and wanted to melt into the table. Please not this. Not with my commanding officer present. Not my very hot commanding officer present. You wanted to slap Layla why did she have to start putting these thoughts into your head.
“Commander Wolffe?” Tech asked for clarification.
Fives just nodded taking another big sip from his cup.
“Someone shoot me.” You covered your face you were too sober for this conversation. You could feel Crosshairs smirk from across the table.
“Awh pip.” Wrecker just grabbed you again and shook you around, “The Commander thinks you’re prettyyyy.”
Fives and Jesse giggled. Hunter and the others just looked uncomfortable. Obviously they weren’t the most social, nor playful. This was just embarrassing. Your only comfort was Wrecker. He was always the nicest anyways. You just tucked yourself into his side forgetting his betrayal earlier.
“The Commander wants to rut with Y/N?” Tech asked.
“Maker.” You wanted to dissipate into thin air.
“Mhmm.” Jesse and Fives nodded with cheesy grins, “she gave him the eyes.”
You scoffed, “I did not!”
“Yeah you did!” Fives giggles. He then looked at Jesse and re-enacted the whole scene dramatically, “It’s nice to meet you commander.” He fluttered his eyelashes at Jesse and held his hand. You groaned and put your head down on the table.
“I need a drink.” You whimpered not able to take the teasing.
“Is that wise?” Tech chimed in, “You just had your implant replaced. It’s advised to not drink for the first 24 hours or else it may be ineffective.”
“Kriff.” You sighed.
“And that’s my cue to come rescue Tiny.” Kix interjected and yanked you up from the booth taking you far away from this painfully awkward conversation. You thanked him profusely letting him guide you.
“You’re nervous when you’re sober.” He laughed walking over to the dance floor with you.
“I’m nervous because of my Sergeant.” You whisper in his ear. He just gives you a questionable look. You laugh and shake your head, “A friend of mine said something today and I can’t get it out of my stupid omega head.”
“Oh?” He raised a brow dancing to the beat.
“Shut up.” You laughed praying Hunter couldn’t hear you over the yelling and music, “They also don’t like the “Regs,” you shook your head.
“Well I know why.” He replied spinning you around.
“Why?” You asked swaying to the beat.
“Everyone was so mean to them growing up. Kids are horrible you know. But because they’re different they definitely dealt with a lot during training days.” Kix informed you. Suddenly everything made sense. Especially why Crosshair can’t seem to socialize with Regs to save his life.
“Plus, the Captain decked the sniper on Skako Minor.” Kix said cheekily.
You dropped your jaw, “Rex?” You couldn’t believe it. There’s no way level headed Rex lost it with Crosshair.
“Oh yeah.” He laughed, “They got into it while trying to find Echo.”
“No way.” You couldn’t believe it. While dancing you peered over at the table to find the four 99’s watching you completely ignoring the drunk shenanigans from the 501st boys. The only one interacting was Echo. You could tell there was a part of him that missed his brothers. They continued to drink and talk amongst themselves while you and Kix danced on the floor. Some of the other 501st boys joined you before linking up with pretty omegas vying for their attention. Clearly their interests were else where.
You definitely didn’t miss the way the Commander seemed to be unable to take his eyes off of you from his chair. You chose to ignore him.
An alpha like that could send you into heat with or without an implant. You however had a job to do, and being stuck in his bed for a week wouldn’t suffice. The mortification of even thinking about returning to the Marauder after that. You couldn’t even go there. Crosshair would literally never let you hear the end of it. He might shove you out of the airlock when you weren’t expecting it.
Kix seemed to be reading your mind and elected to giggle. You slapped him on the arm and he feigned injury. Just then, you noticed the Commander stand and seemingly decide to come your way. Feeling there to flee, you quickly hugged Kix and made a dart for the door. Grabbing your comm you let the boys know you’d be returning to your apartment but to your dismay, Hunter replied…
“Don’t bother we just got special orders. We’re shipping out tonight.” He sounded tired. So much for shore-leave.
“Ugh.” You whined turning to the taxi waiting by the club entrance. You put your comm away in your pocket and fished around for a few credits ignoring the way the cool evening air chilled your skin.
“Something wrong Cyar’ika?” The gruff voice you were dreading came from behind you. Damn your omega tendencies. You turned keeping your eyes lowered.
“Everything is alright Commander.” You replied sweetly, “I just got informed my break has been cut short. We ship out again tonight.”
He sighed stepping forwards and placed his pointer finger under your chin to tilt your head up. You nearly whimpered looking into his scarred eye. Alpha’s strong. Alpha likes you. Alpha smells good. Really good. You wanted to whine when his eye zeroed in on yours. He wanted your eyes on him that was for certain. Maybe a breakout heat with the Commander wouldn’t be too bad…
“Well if you ever need anything you let me know, yeah?” The Commander smiled wolfishly at you and released you. You took a deep breath and took a step back and nodded your head.
“Y/N?” You heard Tech’s call come to your rescue, “Do you need a ride?”
You grabbed your comm and quickly responded with shaking hands, “Yeah that would be nice thank you Tech.”
It wasn’t long until their speeder arrived and you turned back to the Commander who had no issue walking you over to your unit. You could tell by Hunter skeptical glance that he was trying to figure out the situation. The Commander passed you over to your men and have you a nod before putting his helmet back on and walking back into the club.
“What was that about?” Hunter asked with a raised brow.
“I really don’t want to talk about it.” You shook your head and practically dove into the speeder.
“Did the Commander proposition you?” Tech asked pushing his glasses back up.
You squeaked and hid in the backseat.
“Stop bothering her.” Echo shook his head. Thank the maker for Echo.
“It was a harmless question.” Tech justified, “As we were talking about his strange attentions earlier and Y/N’s even more unordinary response according to the Regs.”
You looked out the window of the speeder at the endless city below, “I’m going to jump.” You half joked.
“Tech please drop it.” Echo implored, “You’re making her uncomfortable… and me.”
“It’s just biological responses.” Tech grumbled into his data pad, “Nothing to be embarrassed about.”
You sighed. This was going to be another long mission, and then you were going to take it upon yourself to insure you got a vacation. Hopefully there was something Rex could do to get you some time off for real this time far away from all of these men.
“FUCK AROUND, FIND OUT”
The Bad Batch HUNTER x NON GENDERED READER
Tumblr media
Background: Hunter's knife stimming antics embarrasses him in front of his crush. Silly stuff. Crush is unnamed w/no specific gender. Decided to go with they/them pronouns instead of y/n. I had read that some people do NOT like y/n. So decided to try something different.
Word Count: 1K
Warning: Tame read. Some swearing, knife wound, small amount of blood.
End over edge, the knife flipped back and forth between Hunter’s fingers again and again.
Usually, he did this to stim or pass the time...
However, today he was showing off.
THEY sat across the ship watching Hunter’s knife mastery.
He knew THEY were watching.  Could sense it.
Felt GOOD to be watched.  Adored from afar.  Especially THIS person.
He wasn’t one to fall hard easily...or be driven to showy acts to impress.
But this CRUSH was different...
...AND the pining was MUTUAL...
End over edge, index finger then middle, with his ring and pinky finger propelling the knife back over his first two fingers.
Again and again...
He slowly swung his seat round JUST enough to catch the peripheral view of his CRUSH out of the corner of his eye.
Still watching his movements...
It THRILLED him.  He could feel a small jolt of adrenaline.
Hunter’s fingers sped up, flipping the knife FASTER.
End over edge...
He could hear THEIR breath pick up in excitement as THEY watched him do this.
He QUICKLY reversed the knife’s movement expertly.
Again and again...
His ears caught THEIR heartbeat speed up.
The smell of THEIR excitement, release of pheromones...
End over edge...
It mixed with the scent of THEIR skin, hair...
Again and again...
An intake of breath, THEY exhaled an impressed ALMOST inaudible sigh...
OF COURSE Hunter’s ears caught it.  Made him SHIVER slightly in his core...
The excitement caused his fingers to speed up again.
End over...
But his fingers betrayed him.
The knife slipped from his grasp...
And SHOT straight down...
RIGHT INTO HIS FOOT!
The sudden pain blanked out his senses for a few seconds as Hunter glanced HORRIFIED at the vibroknife STICKING OUT OF HIS BOOT.
THEY were immediately at his side “Maker!!!  Hunter, are you alright???”
Hunter’s head snapped up to look right into THEIR eyes, full of concern.  Behind THEM, he could see Tech and Echo glanced over their shoulders
His brothers shot each other an...expression.  Somewhere between puzzled amusement and muted concern.
Hunter kept his face calm, cool, and collected.  Inside his head he berated himself in-between the sharp throbbing pain of his foot.
“No worries.”  Hunter QUICKLY pulled out the knife, sheathed it, hoping THEY wouldn’t see the blood coating the blades tip.  “Gonna change into another pair.”
“Maybe I should grab the first aid kit?  Just in case???”
“Oh...no need.”  Hunter grinned stiffly as he rose from his seat.  “Can’t meet this mission with a hole in my footwear!  Sit tight, be back shortly.”
He walked as NORMALLY to the back of the ship as he could.  Hunter could FEEL blood pooling around his big toe.
When he was out of view, Hunter limped the rest of the way.
Crosshair glanced up from polishing his rifle.  He IMMEDIATELY spotted what was wrong.
“You’re trailing blood, Hunter.”
Wrecker pulled away from his weapon inventory duty. “What happened?”  He too saw blood and grabbed the first aid kit.
“Heh, just a little accident.”  As Crosshair had Hunter sit on his bunk  “No big deal.”
Wrecker pulled off Hunter’s boot, his black sock soaked in blood.  His brother carefully peeled it back to expose a puncture wound to his toe.
"STABBED yourself pretty good.” Wrecker whistled while examining how deep the wound was.  “Just missed the bone.”
“Accident, eh?”  Crosshair scolded.  “Fucking around with your knife trying to impress our GUEST is more like it.”
“I did NO such thing...OW!  Wrecker!!!”  Hunter attempted to keep his voice down.  “STOP messing with it!!!” He hissed.
“Well, I gotta clean it good.”  Wrecker sassed back.  “Vibroblades carry bunches of...uh...BACTERIA!”
“Wrecker, you’re starting to sound like Tech.”  Crosshair reached for Hunter’s vibroblade.  “Keep doing that and YOU’LL hurt yourself.”
Hunter blocked Crosshair’s access to the knife.  Cross VICIOUSLY slapped Hunter’s hand away.
“OW!” Hunter scoffed at Crosshair, and finally lost ALL composure.  “OW!!!  WRECKER, DAMMIT, I SAID STOP!!!.”
Crosshair took the opportunity and yanked Hunter’s vibroknife out of its sheath.  Clotted blood covered the tip.
“You did NO such thing, eh?” Crosshair scorned Hunter.
Hunter sighed “Ok, I’m...”
“AN IDIOT!”  Cross wiped the blade clean, then shoved it back into the sheath.
“Can I do anything to help?”
All three of them froze with shocked expressions as Hunter’s CRUSH casually strolled through the doorway.
“YEAH!  You can take over cleaning Hunter’s wound.”  Wrecker stood up and slapped the bacta wipe into THEIR hand.  “Warnin’ ya, he’s a HORRIBLE patient.”
Then Wrecker stalked out and towards the ship’s bridge.
Crosshair glanced at Hunter, then his CRUSH.  A wily grin crossed his face.
“DON’T say it, Crosshair.”  Hunter growled.  “Just...leave.”
Crosshair walked away while inserting a toothpick between his teeth.  He paused for effect at the threshold of the doorway.  “Just closing things up...so you’ll have a little...privacy.”
Then Hunter and his CRUSH were alone.
Hunter glanced up at them...
Turning BEET red!
“Sit back and relax.” THEY eased Hunter back on the bunk, knelt, and gently tended to his wound.
THEIR hands cradled his foot, and all the pain was forgotten.
So were Hunter’s words.
“You know...I’m always happy to...” THEY smiled up at him.  “Administer to your needs.”
That look...it took his breath away...
“Uh huh...”  Hunter nodded, empty headed.
“Just ask.”  The bleeding had stopped.
“Uh...huh...uh...”  His brain froze.
“Hunter?”
“Uh?”
“Are your lips stuck?”  THEY asked with weighted words.
Hunter nodded no.  Then he quickly figured out what THEY were REALLY asking.
Then nodded yes.
“Let me help you with that, kay?”  THEY waited for his consent.
Hunter nodded with a lopsided grin.
THEY got up, sat next to him on the bunk, and sweetly cradled his jaw in THEIR hand.
“In the future, just ask me if you want this.  Don’t go hurting yourself, ok.”
“Uh huh.”  Hunter was caught in THEIR gaze.
THEY hovered closer, gently tracing THEIR nose with his...
The ghostly brush of THEIR lips upon his.  Then a rush of adrenaline as THEY pressed passionately harder...
Hunter rumbled warmly and leaned into it for all he was worth.
That kiss fixed...
EVERYTHING.
It’s twilight when the Marauder settles in a spacious, open meadow, the outskirts framed by tall, shaggy trees. Omega peers out the transparisteel, wide-eyed. “What is this place?” she asks, reverently. As though it’s some mystical place instead of a tiny, uninhabited, unnamed planet forgotten in the Outer Rim.
Echo tries to imagine what it must be like to see the galaxy through her eyes, through a lens of awe and wanderlust. No matter where they go or what they’re doing, Omega is ready and eager to experience it all. She isn’t like them: war-torn and wary.
And tired. Echo is tired.
“It’s a place we can lay low for a night,” Hunter tells Omega.
Omega tries to look very serious. “Can I help you check the perimeter?” she asks, a twitch of a smile betraying her at the corner of her mouth.
Echo grins, side-eyeing the sergeant and swiveling his chair before Hunter can look to him for any sort of support.
It’s a work around Omega had quickly figured out. Hunter won’t let her explore straight off before he’s checked things out; however, he can rarely say no when she asks if she could help him check the perimeter. Two proverbial birds to her proverbial stone. It’s a loophole Fives would definitely have found and wiggled through shamelessly when he was a cadet…kriff, he probably still would as a fullgrown trooper.
“The air is breathable,” Tech contributes, helpful to Omega’s cause. “And there are no known predators.”
“But there could be predators,” Hunter points out.
“But there could not be predators,” Omega wheedles sweetly.
“She’s got you there,” Hunter,” Echo says over his shoulder.
Hunter sighs, a long, hefty thing. “Alright then. Let’s go.”
Omega makes a noise of barely contained excitement, the pattering of little boots dancing on durasteel. “Thank you, Hunter!”
“This is part of your training, kid,” Hunter tells her seriously, but none of them are falling for it. He’s as thrilled to have Omega along as she is to be taken.
“I know,” Omega chirps.
Echo waits until the duo have gone into the hold and he hears the activation of the hatch before he turns to Tech. “Do you think she’ll be surprised?” he asks.
“Oh, undoubtedly," Tech says, eyes sparkling behind the tint of his goggles.
Echo pushes himself to his feet and stretches. “We’d better wake Wrecker up before he misses it.”
Tech also stands, clipping his data pad to his utility belt. “I will leave that task in your capable hand.”
“How kind of you,” Echo grumbles.
Tech flashes him a quirk of a smile that is far too reflective of Crosshair before leaving the cockpit and the ship entirely before Echo has a chance to argue further. Wrecker always chooses to nap at the worst possible times, and Echo is convinced the man does it on purpose.
Tumblr media
There isn’t much of a perimeter to check, but Hunter doesn’t tell Omega that. He can see and hear and sense anything that might be nearby. But there is nothing but rodents in the tall grass they wade through, the heads of the stalks coming just below Omega’s shoulders. Omega brushes her hands over them, arms outstretched to either side, not paying the least bit of attention to her surroundings, trusting Hunter implicitly.
It is as gratifying as it is intimidating. He’s had lives entrusted to him countless times as a soldier, but none felt nearly as precious. But they’d all been precious to someone, hadn’t they?
“What was that?” Omega asks suddenly, voice hushed, arms dropping back to her sides.
Hunter stops, puts his hand out and catches Omega’s shoulder. “What?”
Omega points out into the grass. “I saw a little glowing light, but then it disappeared. Look! There it is again!”
Hunter sees it this time, a soft yellow beacon. He grins. “That’s a firefly.”
“A firefly,” Omega echoes. “Is it…on fire?”
“It is not,” Tech answers before Hunter can open his mouth. “It is a chemical reaction known as bioluminescence. The insect has the ability to create its own lightsource.”
“Woah,” Omega breathes.
“Look! There’s another one! And another one! And, hey, another one!” Wrecker booms behind them.
Omega turns in a slow circle, mouth a small o of surprise.
The fireflies are everywhere now, surrounding them in the blue haze of dusk. Wrecker reaches out and catches one in cupped hands, bringing his hostage down for Omega to peek through the gap between his thumbs. “I see him! He’s blinking!” Omega giggles delightedly.
Wrecker opens his hands and lets the firefly go. Omega bounces on her toes a moment, like she might take flight herself, but she turns to look at Hunter, eyes asking the silent question, Can I go?
Hunter nods, but she doesn’t take off quite yet.
She grabs his hand, gives it a tug. “C’mon!” she says, inviting and sure.
Wrecker laughs and darts into the night.
When Omega chases after him, Hunter is right behind her, pulled along in a sea of glittering starlight.
What Happens on The Ferris Wheel (Only Stays There if You Can Keep A Secret)
Crosshair/Fem!Reader
Words: 1,806
Summary: At the annual spring festival, Crosshair ends up spending some quality time with the batch's next door neighbor, who he happens to be harboring feelings for.
Note: this was written for the @cloneficgiftexchange seasons prompt-a-thon! the prompt i picked was: there's an uneven number of people in the group for the spring festival's ferris wheel - looks like we have to sit together now with crosshair - it was so much fun to write! i took inspiration from modern carnivals, and it's set during a fun springtime festival on pabu :)
Winter had been as short lived as it always was, but that didn’t mean the inhabitants of Pabu let the changing of the seasons pass them by. As flowers began to bloom once more on the trees and the sound of birds chirping outside grew more frequent, plans were put into action for the annual Spring Festival, an event that (according to Shep and Lyana) should never be missed.
Despite the excitement that seemed to grip the entire island, Crosshair would have been perfectly content to sit the festival out, relishing in an empty house as his brothers and sister enjoyed themselves and ate the various fried foods Pabu had to offer, but he should have known that Hunter wouldn’t be thrilled with the idea of leaving him home. “It’ll be fun,” was his brother’s declaration, said in a tone that made it clear there wasn’t much Crosshair could do to avoid this event completely.
And now, as he walked with his brothers and sister through the buzzing fairgrounds, he was already planning out an expeditious retreat.
“Look!” Omega was saying, practically pulling Hunter ahead of the rest of the group by their joined hands. “There’s a ferris wheel!”
“That one’s pretty tall too,” Echo responded. “It probably has a great view from the top.”
As the group made their way over to where a line was already forming, Wrecker moved much slower than he had when they first arrived. “I think I’ll hang onto everyone's stuff,” he said quietly, staring up at the towering attraction before them and sucking in a breath. Everyone else simply nodded, Hunter passing over the backpack of their things to his brother as he stood outside the roped off area that directed the line.
As they joined the group already waiting to be assigned a car, Omega’s had a realization. “Without Wrecker we have an odd number, and the cars seat two people,” she said quietly, looking at Hunter, Echo, Crosshair, and Tech. “Someone is going to have to sit next to a stranger.”
“Oh, you’re right,” Tech responded.
“Maybe we can find someone else we know,” Omega added, looking around at those who had also joined the wait. Crosshair was about to tell her not to worry about him, that he didn’t have an issue waiting with Wrecker on the ground, but his sister cut him off before he could open his mouth. “Wait, there’s Y/N!”
At the sound of your name, Crosshair paused. As their next door neighbor, you had become friendly with all of the Bad Batch, and he should have guessed that you would be at the event (if he had to guess, most of the island was here to socialize, eat, and enjoy the games and other entertainment).
As he watched his sister begin to explain their current predicament, someone gently elbowed Crosshair in the ribs, and he turned around to see Echo with a mischievous smile on his face. “Shut up,” Crosshair said, voice low so that the others didn’t question him about the topic of discussion.
Echo simply raised his eyebrows in response, and his grin grew slightly wider as you accepted Omega’s offer to join their group and make an even number of passengers on the ferris wheel. “You can sit with Crosshair,” Tech said, and the man in question turned back to Echo with narrowed eyes, only to be met with a shrug and a raised eyebrow.
 You nodded, glancing over in his direction before accepting or denying the invitation, as if waiting for him to push you away. Admittedly, he had been the last member of his family to get to know you, but it wasn’t because he disliked you.
But in fact it was quite the opposite reason, his hesitation coming from the fact that  he still struggled with the way you were just so nice (and to him, of all people). Many people on the island had been friendly, and it was probably because they didn’t know the truth about his past. But you had come to learn more about him from your friendship with the others, and still you were the first person who had made him feel truly welcome. He felt something stir in his heart every time you stopped by to share some freshly baked treats, spend time with Omega, or to invite them to some kind of event so they didn’t feel left out. Spending time with you alone as you took in the view that the ferris wheel offered was certainly enticing, even though it made him more nervous than the prospect of taking on a battalion of clankers without any kind of backup.
“That’s fine,” Crosshair said, and he could see a small smile begin to ghost across your face. Hunter lifted the rope for you to climb under, and immediately Omega began telling you about all the things she wanted to do this evening, and all the things she wanted to try.
“Sure you’re up to the task of talking to her?” Echo said quietly. He had been the first to clock Crosshair’s infatuation with their next-door neighbor, and unfortunately, as a byproduct of all the time he spent in the 501st, he had no qualms when it came to teasing Crosshair about it.
“Did you tell them?” Crosshair hissed in response, hoping the ambient noise of the fair would be enough to keep their conversation out of Hunter’s earshot.
Echo shook his head. “I think they just have eyes, Crosshair.”
With a narrowed glare that only spent a moment on his face, Crosshair shook his head. “I’ll be fine,” he said quickly.
“Good, because it looks like we’ll be at the front of the line soon.”
Against his own wishes, Crosshair’s heart skipped a beat.
***
Despite not being a permanent fixture of the island, the cars of this ferris wheel were not only spacious but sturdy, and both you and him had plenty of room as you climbed in and got settled. Glancing over in your direction as the car moved upwards to allow the next pair to get in, he didn’t expect to meet your gaze. “You’re not afraid of heights, are you?” he asked, wondering why you might have been looking at him.
“No,” you shook your head. “I probably wouldn’t have accepted Omega’s invitation if I was.”
“Yeah, you’re right.” Kriff, this was already awkward, how was he supposed to survive the entire ride without combusting?
Then you turned the question back on him. “Are you afraid of heights?”
“Of course not, why?”
“You turned to look at me rather than looking out as we moved up,” you said. “I just wondered if you would rather remain on the ground.”
The ferris wheel actually began to move continuously, with all the cars now full, and the conversation fell silent as you and Crosshair looked out at the Pabu skies. Although the flowers were beginning to bloom after winter’s end, the days had not quite yet reached their longest, so the light of the early evening was marked with the oranges, purples, and pinks of a setting sun.
“Wow,” you were the one to break the silence that had settled over their car. “I’ve lived here all my life, but I’ve never seen the island from this far up.”
Crosshair turned to look at you, immediately feeling his heart flutter at the expression of amazement on your face. “You’ve never been on the ferris wheel before at these events?”
“This is the first time the festival has had one,” you said. “Phee was the one who first told me about them, I think this might be her doing.”
The wheel was turning at a consistent pace now, and the sounds of laughter could be heard from the fairgrounds below. He knew that eventually they would have to step back onto the ground, but he selfishly wished that moment would never arrive. “I didn’t want to come to this thing at first,” he said quietly. “But I am glad Hunter dragged me here.”
“I am glad you’re here too,” you said with a laugh. “At least so I didn’t have to go on the ferris wheel with a stranger.”
Crosshair smiled. “Well then, I’m happy to be of service.”
By the time their car was coming to a stop at the base of the ride, his heart was truly soaring, well above the height that any ferris wheel could offer. Spending this time alone with you had only made his feelings more persistent, especially since he had learned that the two of you had so many shared interests. He desperately wanted to take your hand and lead you out of the car, but he resisted, both because he didn’t know how it would be received and because he didn’t want to incur any more teasing from his brothers than he already has.
“Where’s the rest of your family?” you asked, looking around for any signs of Echo, Hunter, Omega, Tech, or Wrecker.
“They got in the cars before we did, they should have already gotten off,” Crosshair responded. He glanced at the steadily growing line to see if Omega had dragged everyone back there to go again, but saw no sign of his brothers or sister. “I don’t even see Wrecker, and he has our stuff.”
You shrugged. “Omega probably just dragged them over to the ice cream stand or something.”
“Wow, they keep leaving me behind.” You of course had no context for that comment, and Crosshair didn’t really feel any resentment for this particular instance, but the words came out before he could stop them.
“At least you’re not all alone,” you said. “You wanna try your hand at some of the games with me? I’ll even let you win if there’s a shooting one.”
“I don’t think you need to throw the game on my account,” he said, a smile slowly growing on his face to match the playful expression you wore. “I would still win even if you were actually trying to beat me.”
You gasped in (mock) offense. “Wow, you certainly are sure of yourself, Crosshair.”
“It helps to know that I have certain genetic advantages.”
“Good, then let’s go,” you said, grabbing his hand and beginning to pull him over towards the line of booths. “Because I have my eye on that giant pink moon-yo and I might need your help to win it.”
As he registered the feeling of your hand in his, Crosshair couldn’t help but smile even wider than he already was. At this moment, he didn’t really care where his brothers and sister were, he just wanted to spend more time with you.
Hopefully he would be able to keep the lovesick expression off his face when he returned home though, or Echo’s teasing might get even worse.
- the end -
Hiya! I would love to see a Bad Batch x reader and how it would be meeting them for the first time and first impressions. Cause like it would be their first time needing to work with someone else (they basically adopted echo immediately) so how would they react to a girl?
🩶
I was thinking about the best way to put this into a fic, but I kept going back to writing it in headcanon form with a blurb on each batcher, so that is what I will go with.
Hunter: Ever the professional, Hunter makes sure you understand your role in the squad. He wasn't so much asked to add a new member to the squad as he was told. It was supposed to be a one-time thing. The boys needed someone to act as a distraction and infiltrate a Separatist fundraiser to get intel. You were good and he respected that.
Echo: He knows what it's like to join the squad after they formed and he also knows that appearances aren't everything. Getting intel is a lot easier when you can walk right in. He talks to you over comms during the mission, reminding you that they're watching everything including the creep who keeps trying to offer you a drink while you talked up the target. He stayed back on the ship with Hunter, ready to fly off and pick you up should the worst happen.
Wrecker: Your muscle for the evening. He was excited to welcome you to the squad from the beginning. He's easy to get along with and makes you laugh. Since having a body guard follow you around all evening seemed like a stretch given no one else would have one, he keeps an eye on the door that's designated your emergency exit. Should things go south, he's ready to break it down and punch his way through the crowd to get to you. Unsurprising to those who know him, he's a sweetheart. Before you headed to the fundraiser, he twirled you around in your evening gown and helped you choose a necklace.
Tech: Initially rejected the idea of a new squad member because he didn't see the need. Tech insisted that given access to the location, he could tap in to any surveillance system, but Hunter knew that wasn't good enough. They needed someone on the inside. With a simple "very well," Tech accepted the situation and made sure you had everything you needed for comms. He was in the back of the luxury car that brought you to this party and dressed in a suit should the car be compromised and he need to look like he belonged.
Crosshair: Your chauffeur for the evening. He wasn't thrilled to have a new person around, but he enjoyed hearing you snark at the unwelcome attention during the night while you tried to keep up a conversation with the target. He cleans up well and enjoyed keeping an eye out from the driver's seat, feeling in charge, while Tech worked behind tinted windows in the back. The first full sentence you heard from him was in the middle of the mission when his voice graveled, "Can we just kill him already?" over comms.
Not yet. Couldn't take the guy out just yet. You had your information, but you intended to lure him out back and let Wrecker knock him out.
Unexpected Scenes
Tumblr media
Word Count: 4.4k Pairing: fem!reader x Tech (with a side of simp Hunter oops) Warnings: unprotected piv, masturbating, voyeurism, creampie, self indulgence, simp hunter, poor proof reading Summary: Hunter is well aware of your relations with Tech, but it doesn't stop him from fantasizing about you - something Tech can sense and isn't happy about. He wasn't going to say anything about it, but things happen. a/n : save me simp hunter, save me. I don't have excuses I just have self indulgent fantasies. gif credit: @kamino-coruscant
Hunter’s speciality was sensing that which could not be seen. Whereas Tech’s was analyzing the visible without missing a single variable. Meaning, as subtle as it was,  Hunter’s interest in you did not go unnoticed by Tech.
A variable that was irritating Tech.
While the brothers of Clone Force 99 accepted their fate of sharing most of life with one another, they all had things they kept for themselves. Recently, Tech was keeping you to himself.
Not in the sense that your interactions were isolated to him, but in the way that he knew a side of you the others didn’t. A condition he wanted to maintain for the foreseeable future.
Emotionally, he delved deeper with you than he had with anyone outside of his circle. Physically, you’d allowed him to experience ecstasy for the first time. While it was an exhilarating experience and an activity he didn’t regret, he found he was just as content exchanging quiet conversation with you. Perhaps moreso.
Although he would admit that the satisfaction of bringing you to completion did swell a very male side of him. That feat is the biggest thrill for Tech.
One that was instantly surpassed when Hunter caught Tech with his hands in your clothes. You’d failed to notice Hunter, but he watched you cumming on his brother’s fingers.
Since then, Tech kept a keen eye on Hunter’s every exchange with you. It wasn’t so much that he feared Hunter would overstep; it was more about the possessiveness that had begun to root itself deep within him.
The brothers never spoke of the instance, but Hunter’s softened approach with you and his new habit of touching the small of your back almost drove Tech to break the silence more than once.
The tipping point came when you arrived at Cid’s seeking assistance from the Batch. The Marauder was docked at the spaceport, suggesting that at least one of them should have been available to help. It turned out Tech, Echo, and Hunter were there, albeit engaged in their own activities. Echo and Tech were tucked in a booth together hunched over a datapad, and Hunter, seated at the bar with a drink, did a soft double-take as you descended the last step.
“Well, look what the tooka dragged in.” Hunter chuckled and lifted his glass to you. He caught his brother's attention, perking Tech up first.
Tech locked eyes with you first, adjusting his goggles as a soft flutter hit his chest. He recognized the smile on your face - the one reserved just for him, small and crooked to one side. He glanced at Hunter, who was now, unfortunately, witnessing it too.
Echo twisted in his seat and hooked an elbow over the back of his chair. With a short wave of his prosthetic he called over, “Hey there, trouble. What brings you in?”
“I need to hop off world to meet a client and I was hoping one of you could come along.” You explained. “He’s someone I’d rather not be caught alone with.”
Tech was elbow deep in deciphering an imperial code with Echo, a task he was not excited to step away from. Nonetheless, he agreed you should be accompanied. Sighing, Tech made to move when Hunter responded.
Slugging his drink back, Hunter slid out of his seat, saying, “Alright then, I’ll go with you.” He waved towards the stairs with a smile. “We can take the Marauder.”
Tech pushed out of his seat, quickly interrupting, “That won’t be necessary. I can-”
“No.” Hunter firmly pushed back, pointing a finger towards Echo. “You and Echo keep working on that code. I’ll take care of her.”
Hunter cutting off Tech’s access to you, knowingly or not, rippled an ugly feeling in Tech.
Tech looked at you, hoping you’d intervene, but instead, you flippantly waved your hand, “We’ll be back before you know it.” You added with a wink, “Don’t worry, your ship will be fine.”
 That’s not my issue. Tech grumbled inwardly. Knowing he had no real ground to stand on Tech sat back down with a shrug, conceding a curt, “Fine.”
It was not fine. The entire time you were gone Tech weighed the likelihood of Hunter seizing the opportunity at hand. He imagined what he’d do if he’d been the one with the freedom of autopilot and privacy of space with you. He wasn’t one for lingering in fantasies, especially with a task at hand.
But he found himself preferring the imagined scenarios of what might transpire between you and him over the intrusive thoughts of what could be happening with Hunter. All of the places he’d pressed you against that Hunter could be discovering.
Meanwhile on the Marauder, Hunter was basking in your presence and the comfortable silence you brought. Of course you chatted, but the spaces between were filled with an easy peace Hunter rarely experienced. You didn’t want or demand anything from him and he was able to just think about what he wanted.
And stars did he want you. Hunter wanted you often and in every way. His mild interest in you escalated to full blown fantasizing after seeing you with Tech. He could barely think when you were near him with the scent of your orgasm coming to the forefront of his memory.
He imagined what you’d feel like squirming over his lap as you had for Tech. Did you taste as good as you smelled? He conjured the sound of his name on your tongue in his moments alone, distorting it into what it might sound like as you came for him and on him.
Reality stood in the way of that though. He wouldn’t do that to Tech. So, the most he could selfishly manage was an afternoon alone with you.
Tech’s distraction was at a dizzying high by the time he and Echo finally deciphered the code. Several hours after that, when you and Hunter had still not returned, Echo excused himself to find replacement parts for himself.
Tech’s foot tapped out a nervous rhythm until a ping from his datapad caught his attention—a signal from the Marauder’s proximity sensor. You were coming back.
He couldn’t help himself from shoving out of the booth at record speed. He took the back alleys to the Marauder’s port, ducking around corners the closer he got until his ship was in sight.
The ship let off air as the door hissed open and its stairs extended. You came out shortly after, laughing over your shoulder to Hunter, still wearing his helmet and trailing behind you. The two of you shortly chatted on the ground before you laughed again and left with a wave.
Even as you left, Hunter stood in place, watching you for far longer than Tech liked. Tech caught the way Hunter’s fists gripped a few times and his helmet tilted back. His brother took a large breath, but ultimately turned to leave.
Backing off from the scene, Tech took an educated guess on your egress and left before Hunter caught on to his spectator.
Tech made a beeline to intercept you, cutting through a maintenance room to between you and the main road. As he pulled you aside to face him, he anticipated your scream and quickly covered your mouth.
Your surprise morphed into something happier once you recognized the goggles in front of you. Pulling Tech’s hand down you giggled quietly, “Way to be a creep. What are you doing out here?”
Tech brushed right past your question, asking, “Are you headed somewhere?”
You watched him for a second, a suspicious smile creeping over you. “Not particularly.”
“In that case - follow me,” Tech said as he led you back down the alley. “I need you.”
“For what?” You called after him, tugging on his shoulder to catch up. Tech gave you a sidelong glance but remained tight-lipped.
The two of you were in silence all the way until you made it onto the Marauder. Once inside, you walked past Tech hands on hips, in the direction of the gunner’s mount. “Alright, what’s got you all-”
“I would’ve appreciated the time with you.” Tech interrupted, his voice unexpectedly close. You spun around to find him just an arm's length away.
Tech didn’t seem like the clingy type, not to mention - “You seemed busy with Echo.”
“That’s because I was.” Tech chirped matter-of-factly.
Your confused expression made Tech pause, realizing he needed to explain further. He had been busy, indeed, but the thought that he could have spent that time with you—and had been distracted by thoughts of you instead—made him reconsider his priorities.
“The code… could have waited.” His eyes glanced at the floor between, thinking for another moment. “I would’ve preferred spending the time with you.”
Tech’s unexpected softness made you stutter. You reached up to cup his cheek, saying in a light tone, “From here on out, you’re the only one for me. Besides,” You offered him that small smile he relished so much and playfully patted his cheek. “I’ll make it up to you.”
A smile ticked the corner of Tech’s mouth, accompanied by a soft hum. It wasn’t long until familiar thought crept back up.
Tech pressed a kiss into your palm. He turned away slightly, then fixed a serious gaze on you. “How was your time with Hunter?”
The shift in Tech’s tone sent a chill down your spine. Despite nothing having happened between you and the leader, Hunter had somehow become a tender subject with Tech. Tech’s hand slid over yours as he faced you once more, his expression unreadable.
You weren’t sure what answer he hoped for. Hoping for the best, you answered, “Perfectly ordinary.” You couldn’t help adding on a teasing whisper, “You wouldn’t be jealous would you, Tech?”
Tech remained silent, a flicker of something indecipherable crossing his eyes. He gently pulled your hand from his cheek and took a step toward you, causing you to instinctively step back. He advanced again, and you retreated, until you both stood between the bunks.
He leveraged his hold on you to guide you into turning with him, a pseudo dance that put your back to the cockpit of the ship. His eyes drifted beyond you again as he took on a pondering tone, “Remind me - to be jealous is to worry that someone might take something of mine.” Locking eyes with you again he finished with a lifted brow, “That is correct, isn’t it?”
You nodded, momentarily feeling like you had gained the upper hand. That sensation quickly faded as Tech’s expression shifted into a confident, knowing smile.
“In that case, no, I am not jealous,” he stated dryly, moving away to crouch down. As he peered up at you, his hand vanished under the bunk. “However, that does beg the question,” he continued, his eyes fixed on you while his hand rummaged through a few boxes, “What of mine would I be worrying someone might take?” He watched you process his question, expecting the lovely color you’d be turning
A blush flared up your neck to the tips of your ears. Was he asking for clarity or to put you on the spot? You and Tech had never outlined exactly what you were doing together.
Your fingers found their way to each other in a nervous fidgets. Through nervous laughs you only managed to stammer out, “Well, I… I thought it…”
Tech’s search hit its mark and he was on his feet again, watching and waiting for a legitimate answer. There was something about being pinned under the weight of Tech’s attention that flooded your core with heat every time.
“Me.” You finally squeaked out. “I thought you were worried about me.”
Your response drew a quick inhale from Tech as his eyes widened slightly, a little light sparking through them. “You’re saying… you’re mine?”
His bold streak inspired one of your own. “I am.” You responded with more confidence than you expected.
“I was hoping that would be your response.” Tech dropped his gaze as he slipped something into your hand. “Put this on.”
You brought the object up for inspection, a familiar piece of fabric you recognized as one of Hunter’s bandanas. Looking between the bandana and Tech, you slowly asked,“Put it on?”
“Yes, over your eyes.” Tech confirmed, pointing to the red bandana.
You gave one last, suspicious glance at Tech before obeying. As you tied the bandana over your eyes, cutting off your vision and leaving you with only the rustling of Tech’s clothes to let you know he was still nearby.
“Now,” Tech began, his voice closer than you before. “Get on the bunk.”
His hand helped you through his instruction, leading you to the bottom bunk. Hunter’s bunk. The makeshift blindfold made you miss the second pointed look Tech cast over your shoulder.
From the pilot’s seat, slumped down and regretting every step he’d made that day, Hunter hid as best he could. He’d started heading back to Cid’s after dropping you off only to doubleback to the Marauder, unable to shake his thoughts of you.
Hunter just needed enough time to sit in your lingering scent and please himself the way he ached for you to. He was lost in the thought of you perched in his lap, moaning his name and moving over him in time with his hand, when the sound of footsteps snapped him back to reality.
Frozen in place, his cock still throbbed in his fist when your voice sifted through the Marauder, sending a twitch up his length. Tech’s voice followed shortly after, forcing Hunter to bite back a frustrated groan. You’ve got to be kriffing kidding me, he cursed to himself. Hunter kept himself as motionless as possible while trying to tuck himself away.
Hearing Tech telling you to get on a bunk kicked something in Hunter’s stomach and kept him from fully concealing himself.
Tech didn’t know that Hunter would be onboard. After all, he’d watched the both of you walk away from his ship. His initial urge was to move you somewhere without an audience. Though, standing over you, blindfolded and sitting at the edge of his brother’s bunk, he decided Hunter’s presence was indeed a favorable situation.
At the very least, Tech would make good use of it.
Refraining from checking the pilot’s seat, Tech dropped to balance on the balls of his feet. You were waiting so patiently, shoulders high and lip tucked between your teeth.
“Sarad.” You jolted slightly when Tech broke the silence with his name for you, humming suggestively at his nickname for you. Your thighs squeezed together when you answered with his own name. Your anticipation was palpable.
Tech shifted forward, bridging the gap by sliding his hand up your thigh. His thumb barely grazed the apex of your thighs and you squirmed in place. Not a single one of your reactions was wasted on Tech. Every time he touched you, you gave him a new expression, a new noise. He wanted all of it.
The way you moved was affecting him more than usual, he gripped your thigh to keep from shoving you onto your back. Gripping your other thigh, Tech spread your legs to move between them.
Blindly, your hands found him, sliding up to his shoulders. Your thumbs worked into him, begging for more of his touch. It worked, Tech felt blood rush through him and his thumbs matched your rhythm.
“Typically, our approach to intimacy is measured.” Tech paused to maintain his calm. His pants were well beyond tight and the primal compulsion to strip you bare was starting to cloud his judgment. He swallowed, nerves weighing him down more than usual.
All of this was more than usual. He wanted far more than usual.
“This time I-”
“You don’t have to ask.” You cut him short.
Tech blinked at you, “You do not know what I’m asking.”
Breathing a laugh, you thumbed the bandana out of one eye. The look you gave him was heavy and drew Tech further between your legs.
“You want me, right now.” You murmured, pressing your legs into him. “So take me, Tech. Right now.”
Tech’s response wasn’t immediate, he was still trying to see reason. Your pulling the bandana back into place threw that out the door.
He moved on you, gliding his hands over your hips and hooking his fingers into your pants. With your help, your pants and undergarments were tossed aside in seconds. He’d already unclasped his pants and positioned himself between your legs by the time you fell onto your back.
Tech took one of his gloves between his teeth to yank it off at the same time you slid a hand between you. He didn’t have time to even tug on the glove when he felt his head smooth over your entrance. He’d thought he’d need saliva to begin, but your arousal proved him wrong.
He felt you drip down the length of him and that was it. Tech drove his hips into you, catching your hand to stop you from stifling your moan. He hissed as he pulled back, letting you feel every inch of him and indulging in the velvet of your insides.
“Please, don’t hold back.” Tech thrust into you again, filling you completely. “I need to hear you.”
Your arms fell back beside your head and a lazy smile lilting across you as you gave in to him. Afterwards, each of his thrusts coaxed a moan from you and in turn, he echoed you with noises of his own.
The two had been down this route before, but something was different before. His movements were harder, faster, and more desperate. His force alone was spreading warmth through you.
Tech wedged his hand under your shirt, shoving his gloved hands over your breasts. His usual gentle touch was nowhere to be seen when he pinched your nipple between his thumb and forefinger. You whined in a way he hadn’t heard before.
And apparently in a way Hunter hadn’t either.
Just your sounds alone put a rhythm back into Hunter’s grasp. Even without turning, Hunter could envision every thrust Tech made by the sounds of your bodies moving together and the sounds you made. The very sounds he imagined when alone.
They were more beautiful than he’d imagined.
The whine you made pushed him so close to his edge Hunter had to let go of himself to stop from cumming. A whine so enticing, Hunter’s feet moved without his say. His chair swiveled just enough to let Hunter catch a glimpse of the bunks.
Tech was over you, half crouched and moving his hips against you in short, hard thrusts. Hunter could just make out the cause of your whine, Tech’s working beneath your shirt, but your face was out of view. Out of view and splayed out over his bunk.
Tech’s movements slowed slightly, his head twitching as if to look towards the cockpit. Hunter almost ducked back, but Tech kept his sights on forward and, from the sounds you made, pinched your nipple harder.
Moving a hand under your back, Tech kept his fingers tight on you and pulled you upright. The sudden pressure and change in position made you reach for Tech in need for something to ground you in reality. He caught you as your arms looped around his neck and your face fell beside his, chin resting on his shoulder.
Tech stilled for only a moment to allow you to adjust to him fully seated within you. You didn’t allow that though. You gyrated your hips against him, needy and anxious for him to continue.
“Don’t stop. Please.” You pleaded.
To your displeasure, Tech removed his hand from your shirt and his cock from within you. You were whimpering for him when he ordered you, each word carefully enunciated, “Then I suggest you get on your knees.”
You didn’t question the order, eagerly following directions with his help. Tech put you on your hands and knees on the floor in front of him and facing the cockpit.
Your new position allowed Hunter to finally see your face and the bandana covering your eyes. The sight of his bandana on you created an almost painful ache that pushed a swell of pre-cum out of Hunter as he gripped himself again. From his base to the tip, he gave himself tight, slow strokes as he took in every inch of you.
For all that he could see in the moment, you appeared fully clothed again. Then Tech lifted your hips to meet his and Hunter caught a glimpse of the bare skin of your ass.
It made it so easy to imagine that it was him behind you.
Hunter was so consumed by this vision of you that it took him a second to realize something else - Tech was staring him down.
And for a moment, your pants were the only sounds in the Marauder.
Maintaining eye contact with Hunter, Tech leaned over you with one hand steadying your hip and another moving under your chin. Tech angled your head back as he brought his mouth to your ear and slid inside you once more.
Your mouth fell open, groaning as Tech stretched you again. He pushed deep inside you, pressing against your womb in a way he’d not yet explored.
He didn’t move, only allowing you to feel his cock spasming against your walls.
“Can you do something for me?” Tech pushed harder against you, testing how much of him you could withstand.
Your response was instantaneous, “Anything for you.”
Tech turned his face only enough so that his lips brushed your ear. “Imagine there was someone watching us,” Tech whispered just for you, gauging your reaction.
Had it not been for the way you constricted around him, your silence would have made Tech backpedal.
“Watching us?” Your voice fluttered as you clenched around him. Tech may have dropped his voice low enough to miss Hunter, but you had not and Tech caught the jolt of Hunter’s seat. It was exactly what Tech was aiming for.
“Precisely.” Tech purred, pivoting all his attention back on you. “Someone observing as you come undone for me.” He let go of your face and pressed his forehead into your shoulder and he slid fully out of you to sheath himself again. “Someone who thinks they might have you.”
Neither of the brothers realized the bandana across your eyes sat in a way that gave you a sliver of sight. It was only a glimpse, but you could make out the cockpit, the slightly turned pilot’s seat, and the boots in front of it. There was a shadow of a face peeking around the chair and you knew exactly who was watching.
You braced yourself on your forearms, keeping your face visible for Hunter as you leaned away from Tech. He caught your hips and yanked you back onto his cock.
“So show them who I belong to.” You shuddered as Tech ground into you.
“Oh I can do that.”
Tech wrapped his arms around around your waist, holding you in place as he fucked you into the floor. Your eyes stayed on Hunter, watching as the chair shifted slightly. He was moving in the chair and you may not have been able to see it but he was touching himself.
This was the closest Tech would let him get to you. Being on display for Hunter, vulnerable, naked, and pleading for Tech thrilled you in a way you hadn’t expected.
You began begging for more, letting your voice ring loud and clear. Moaning for Tech and the pressure building inside you. Shifting as best you could, you wormed a hand beneath you to circle your clit.
Tech knew what you were doing and knew what was coming. He moved his legs to either side of you, budging you to stand on your knees, your back flush against him.
Your view of Hunter vanished along with your resolve. You kept one hand on the bud between your legs and slipped the other one up over your shoulder to hang on Tech’s neck. He dipped his face close to you again, his eyes checking Hunter one final time.
“What was it you said earlier?” Tech panted out. “About being mine?”
Those three words almost shoved you both over the edge.
“I’m yours, Tech.” You gasped as Tech thrust up into you, angling into the soft spot that brought you to your release every time.
“Again.” He grunted on a hard thrust that finished you.
Your entire body shuddered and you cried out, “I’m yours - only yours, Tech!”
Tech had to focus on not dropping you as your words shoved him into his own orgasm. He didn’t have time to pull out, instead burying himself as far as he could and spilling out inside you.
Hunter had watched the entire scene, keeping pace with your rhythm and chasing the sounds of your moans. Multiple times he had to pace himself, hungry to finish as you did, anxious to stay quiet enough to witness it. It was the quaking of your legs and the scent of your orgasm that wrecked him.
Hunter put a hand over his head as he came, begrudgingly catching his seed before it hit the floor and gave him away.
The two of you quaked together until you collapsed back into Tech, sending you both off balance to the floor. It hadn’t been a long session, but the two of you were spent, sweaty, and panting together.
You fidgeted just enough for Tech to slide out of you and push up onto an elbow to look over you. At the angle you sat and the blindfold still in place, there was nothing stopping a stealthy exit for Hunter.
Without glancing at his brother, Tech lowered himself over you, hoping he could drown out any footsteps to come. It wasn’t necessarily an exit, or an entire event, he wanted to address. Now or ever.
Tech tended to you, speaking to you in a low voice as Hunter took the hint, tucked himself away and went for the exit. Had it not been that you were already aware of his presence, it would have been a successful endeavor.
You said nothing about it, letting the brothers keep whatever competition that was happening to themselves. You’d been truthful, you wanted nothing and no one but Tech. If he occasionally needed that validated and this was his way of getting it - you certainly weren’t complaining.
My redneck neighbor Doug's interpretations on various 'Bad Batch' characters
So, it turns out my neighbor Doug, who lives next to me, is a MASSIVE Star Wars nerd. Hooray! Found this out earlier during a snow storm. He was thrilled when he found out my kids and I watch this show together, and had some...brilliant...insights on how he interprets the show. I'll be dropping some of the wildest descriptions here from time to time.
This was months ago, but damn it, it was so wild how this chubby Cajun Boomer described the show. I'm going to drop some of his best gems that he's texted me since January:
Tumblr media
Crosshair: "So that there's Daddy Warcrimes. All you need to know is he lives on beer and Slim Jims, has more guns then Jesus got faith, and that he does your mom on the weekends, and then you thank him for his service."
Hunter: "Aw man, we got Rambo up in this place. Daddy Rambo. He looks like he's got some hot wife with a huge butt who makes amazing biscuits, but he only showers on the weekends for reasons he won't tell you."
Wrecker: "I know, I KNOW, he's got some cool Star Wars name, but in my head, he's Julio. He looks like a Julio, ya know? Every Julio's been the nicest guy with a truck and a million friends. I swear. I bet he's a contractor and lays pipe like you wouldn't believe." ::winks::
Tech: "Hm, yeah, I know him. That's Ryan-from-Accounting, somebody's hipster dad. You know, everyone knows a Ryan who works in accounting, he's quiet, only drinks IPAs, and has a bitch wife named Laura who drives a Kia and is always yelling at him. Poor man. I hope Julio saves him from his bitch wife Laura."*
Echo: "Eh, Toaster Strudel. Homeboy looks like his daddy had an affair with a convection oven on shore leave and forgot to pay child support."
Omega: "Little Orphan Blondie. I hope she gets real parents or something besides those freaky alien things running the mall on the ocean."**
Admiral Rampart: "I hate this smarmy jack-ass already. He looks like my asshole nephew who got some fancy degree but can't keep a job in corporate because he's such a little ass, he talks down to the janitors and always leaves at 2 pm 'to beat traffic'. He's MBA-Rob."
*=I can't emphasize the vitriol Doug had in his voice when describing 'bitch wife named Laura'. I am so deeply concerned for Ryan-from-Accounting, wherever he is.
**= 'The mall on the ocean' describing Tipoca City sent me. That is how I refer to it now.
