One minute routine is viewable on Instagram and TikTok. Products gifted by Influenster and Elf cosmetics in exchange for my honest reviews.
Because this primer is a part of the Power Grip 'family' of products, that means this is a super sticky feeling primer. I had some issues with it applying well, as a result of my dry leaning skin, even when I applied a moisturizer before this primer. This is why I'm removing one star from my review. It just was not compatible with my skin type. It did work well at keeping my foundation in place though! The only reason why it looks like my makeup wasn't as matte was because the foundation I used to take pictures with this product was more of a glowy finish.
I absolutely loved this compact! The shade I got wasn't a perfect fit, but I can make it work when I'm a little darker in the summer months. I love products like this, because the mirror and applicator make on the go application super easy. There was no evident scent to the powder, which can be a turn off for me in makeup. More importantly, it worked at mattefying my foundation, so my makeup looked way less dewy. It managed to cut the appearance of 'oily looking' skin, while not making it look completely matte.
This powder did so without making my skin look more dry, and I have dry leaning skin. So sometimes powders don't always work out for me. I didn't notice any extra flaky skin when using this powder. It worked well both with the applicator that came with this product, or with a makeup brush (my preferred applicator).

I was wondering what clothes to get him and then some commenters gave me an idea. @willbethehero gave me idea for a Christmas elf disguise with a mask to hide the fact he’s a netherling. But wondered how to make that work.
Then I got an idea and how about a wind doll disguise? A fake wind up key, a doll like mask. And an elf costume and presto! A wind up elf doll.

Essence Lash Princes False Lash Effect Mascara vs. E.L F. Lash n' Roll: An Honest Review
Tumblr media
Monday, I bought the Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara at my local Meijer's. Not pictured is their clear mascara. Friday, I bought E.L.F. Lash n' Roll Mascara at my local Kroger's. Here's my honest review.
Lash Princess: This is Tik Tok and Amazon famous. It's $4.99, and while it does live up to the hype, it comes out goopy, which made a huge mess in my eyelids. You can see the mess in the pictures below.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Wiping the Lash Princess on the side of the tube helped just a little, but I still managed to have a huge mess on my lids, that not even a Q-tip dipped in Vaseline couldn't clean up easily. The wand could be much shorter because the wand is like ten feet long, so I felt like I had little control over it. The essence website said that the Lash Princess False Effects Mascara was supposed to curl your lashes, but I didn't see a curl at all. I had to use my eyelash curler to get a result. It did hold the curl nicely, and gave me length, definition, and volume.
E.L.F. Lash n' roll: I like this so much better! First, the tube is slim, so it will fit nicely in your make up bag, purse, or even your vanity table. It hardly takes up any room. The wand is curved, and is made out of silicone, as you can see in the photos below.

I got just the right amount of mascara on the wand, so I can get away with one coat, and I'm good to go. The formula is buildable, without being dramatic, or giving me spider lashes. It actually curled my lashes, and yes, I did also use my eyelash curler. All I really needed was one coat, but I can get away with two coats. The wand isn't ten feet long, so I had much better control over it, and it didn't leave a huge mess on my lids. It did give me length, volume, definition, and curl. I love a good all around mascara, and this is my new holy grail mascara. I've tried every curved brush and a lot of curling mascaras, and I'm sticking with this one, because it just holds up well, holds the curl well, doesn't smudge, doesn't budge, doesn't flake off, and even held up in the bitter cold with my eyes watering. Checked myself in the mirror, and my lashes were still curled, and the mascara was still going strong. My lashes went back to normal after I removed my makeup, and washed it off.
Lash n' Roll is a dupe of Benefit's Roller Lash. Except, this is more affordable, and you can pick this up everywhere. So, you won't need to make a Sephora run.
Ulta sells all three brands.
Overall: I give Lash Princess 4.5 out of five stars. It's just the mess on my lids, and the ten foot long wand are really off putting for me. The wand does have rubber on it, so it won't slip out of your hand. It is nice, though, just not for every day wear. The formula is clean, vegan, gluten free, and paraben free.
I give ELF Lash n' Roll 5 out of five stars. The wand is perfect, easy to control, doesn't leave a mess, and you can easily build the formula without giving you spider lashes. This is more for every day wear, so you can use one coat for the office, and a few more coats if you're going out. The formula is also clean, paraben free, and vegan.
