What do you think the general populace of New York think once Deadpool just pops back up with a long dead hero?
Deadpool has been inactive for years and suddenly he's back with Wolverine and they have been caught making out. I mean how do everyday people react to this?
Honestly? I think the public reaction would be a mixed bag. Everyone is shocked and excited to see The Wolverine back in action, but also world events have become increasingly crazy so suddenly resurrection doesn't seem so insane anymore. It's sort of like the state Gen Z is in now—when you're repeatedly thrown into unbelievable situations, you become a bit desensitized to it all.
However, what's more shocking than the fact he's back alive is that he's with Deadpool, of all people. Resurrection is within the realm of reason, but Logan suddenly doing a 180 from hating anyone who killed to dating the resident mercenary? That's another story.
People would record (or at least try to) and whisper among themselves and post online about the scandalous romance between a retired superhero and a very terrifying mercenary anti-hero. Nobody who had worked with the Wolverine professionally in the past would believe it until they saw it. He used to detest everything Wade stood for—he was loud, rude, obnoxious, unserious, and didn't adhere to a moral code. But here they were, looking at each other like the world would stop turning if they weren't in each other's arms and working together like it was second nature.

I'll have you know that I am heavily considering writing something based off of your latest Time travel idea. It is already in my list. Because I genuinely cannot stop thinking about it
I love time travel as a concept and I'm honored you were inspired by my idea. I'm sure it'll turn out amazing, make sure to tag me when you finish it.
I'm considering what to write of my own. To be honest I've been a bit busy lately because my finals are in a week and I have a lot of things due and I've also had a lot of plans, but I want to get back into writing more consistently.
For the time travel idea, I think it'd be really interesting to consider his relationships with everyone. He avoids the X men with a passion, absolutely not wanting to get involved (especially when Logan isn't a part of them yet, he checked). Colossus isn't even an adult yet so he can't go bother him either...
His relationship with the Avengers is complicated. He's somewhat of a son to Tony, except for the fact he's much older than he claims and can take care of himself. He isn't as good with Tony at engineering, but he knows how to work with his hands and has brilliant ideas so he ends up hanging out in the lab anyway. Mainly to fiddle with random shit and offer insight that's a little too on the nose considering he only knows some programming (he starts to learn more, though).
With Cap, he's awestruck at first. That's his childhood hero, after all. But once the initial excitement wears off a bit he's able to work well with him, bouncing off his shield like a fucking boomerang and responding with witty quips. Steve grows fond of him pretty quickly.
As for the others, he interacts with them in his own way. He chats with Bruce (particularly about Gene editing, sue him) and has fun jumping up on the Hulk when they fight together. He gets along with Wanda and the Black Widow because he understands suffering and doing what's needed and he has this perspective beyond his years. He makes fun of Hawkeye and buddies up to Thor (mainly because he remembers that scene of him holding him in his arms).
Despite this, he avoids conversations about joining the Avengers. In this life, they actually want him. But also in this life, he has a better team he's waiting for.

Dude check this out. My first prompt!:
It takes place during Origins where one part, Logan returns to the camp to pack up (after tossing his dog tags aside) and Wade comes to see why he's leaving. (Maybe he had said to the others he'll talk to him.) Logan gives a reason and leaves. Then, it goes like the movie but just after Logan is told the story of the wolverine and the moon, there's a knock. It's Wade (which would take place just before his disapperance and Kayla's "death" I think) and he comes in for a drink. Kayla meets him but heads to the room to sleep and letting the guys talk. They sure did talk and end up sleeping together. Dun dun dunn but then Wade leaves and that's the last time Logan sees him. Unsure what else but yeah. I had a daydream of that. There's prob a fic already like that but yeah.
That's actually a really interesting idea. I headcanon that while Wade and Logan never got together, there was a definite underlying attraction even in Origins. They're the only members in the team who somewhat care about what they're doing, and they have complementary personalities.
I think that the main thing that held them back was Logan being much more closed off and trying to still have faith in his brother. He was in denial and trying to convince himself he could be okay with a life like this, so he didn't push to get close to anyone else. Regardless, Wade still found him and wormed his way into his life by talking his ear off.
So for Wade to chase after Logan after he made his new life means that he thought about it for a while. He stared up at the ceiling at night and remembered Logan and missed him. He tossed and turned because the idea couldn't leave his head until he finally said "fuck it" and decided to go after him because if wouldn't get any better.
When Wade comes by, it's like a punch in the gut to Logan. It's a direct reminder of the past, of what he ran away from. He still feels guilty for abandoning his team even if he knew it was the right thing to do (by team he means Wade and Victor, but the second one is complicated). So he lets him in warily, expecting sharp jabs and mocking quips.
But Wade doesn't blame him. He talks with him like an old friend, like he just retired peacefully from his office job. It makes Logan relax, it makes something deep inside of him unfurl.
Kayla goes upstairs to sleep for the night and Wade and Logan keep talking. Until the sunset fades and it turns dark out and suddenly hours have passed and it's 3am. And Logan... can't remember the last time he felt this good. This free.
So when Wade trails off and leans in, Logan doesn't protest. He doesn't remember Kayla. He doesn't think about the fact Wade's a guy. Those are issues for later.
For now, Logan kisses back.

I'm going around asking this I hope you enjoy.
If you were in the Marvel universe and had a mutation. What would it be?
I think it'd be really interesting to have a telekinesis mutation of some type, or a teleportation one. Realistically I'm not the type to become a hero and fight for the greater good, but I like to think I'd step in if I saw something happening locally. If I'm considering myself as a "character" then I'd probably be a sort of vigilante.

Victor would be confused as hell on why his brother suddenly started acting so weird. He suspects Wade did something to him but could never really prove it before the entire program was destroyed. He gets left by Logan, and undergoes the same arc as the original plot. Except this time, Logan left him a note and he doesn't go on an insane killing spree because Logan doesn't have a wife and Stryker is gone.
Logan and Wade would make sure Laura is born, although they're incredibly anxious about it the whole time they're waiting. What if they fuck it up? They'd find a way, though.
There would definitely be a big butterfly effect. Events would be shuffled and the timeline would be practically maimed. Everything is fucked but somehow better than before? They manage to get tied in with the Infinity Saga and tip the scales, sorting out the blip much quicker.
Hear me out.
Poolverine Time Travel story where Wade goes wayyy back in time to when he was a teenager. Except the timeline is different from his because... what do you mean The Avengers have just formed and shit is being set in motion already? What do you mean villains are appearing way earlier than they used to? This timeline can't be his own what the fuck how did he get here.
So he ends up taking an almost Spiderman-like role in becoming a vigilante that sometimes accompanies the Avengers but they don't know his identity. He manages to activate his mutation before getting thrown into the Weapon X program so he has his healing factor minus the cancer. It's... a weird sensation.
It becomes even weirder when he realizes the timeline is even more shifted and he's Peter's age, who apparently isn't the Tom Holland version because he shouldn't be this old yet? He should turn 14 a while after the Avengers form? What the fuck. They become sort of friends, except for the fact that they fight because Wade's a dick and Peter's a saint. Let's just say they handle Flash very differently (which ironically ends up causing Flash to respect and even befriend Wade).
Anyway, Wade gets closer to everyone around him and becomes an unofficial Avenger but never really feels at home. How could he, when people only know one half of his identity? When he has none of the people he loves in this world?
He isn't sitting idly, though. He's preparing. And as soon as he turns 18, he leaves. He joins the Weapon X Program, with the hope of ending Stryker long before his end in the original timeline. And with the hope of meeting Logan, who he misses more than pretty much anything.
But when he meets Logan, it's like looking into a mirror. The second their eyes meet, they recognize each other. Logan remembers.
He comes back four years later with Logan at his side and the corpse of Stryker behind him. And he finds everything in disarray. Apparently, the Avengers had been looking for him to no avail and Peter had stepped up in his place as a vigilante (a little more brutal than he should've been, actually). Everyone panicked when he left and thought he died or disappeared, and mourned the loss of their dear friend and teammate.
Until he miraculously just... shows up. With a feral, growling, Logan at his side who threatens everything with his claws.
It's gonna be a bumpy ride.

I think it would be especially interesting to see how their interactions with the other people in the mansion would change.
In the original timeline, Logan being cold and closed off was seen as normal. He's the token sarcastic asshole who's there when danger strikes but is never really close to anyone. He leaves when he can and nobody thinks they can tie him down, so they never try. They leave him to drift then turn around and blame him for not being tethered.
In this universe, though, Wade is his anchor. He stays at the mansion more consistently, anxious to leave because he doesn't want to be without Wade. When he goes on trips, he brings Wade with him and they always come back together with matching grins and souvenirs. He's shown being soft and affectionate and vulnerable around Wade, while on his own his walls are stacked so high people assume they're impenetrable.
It shows everyone who Logan is capable of being. It's like a museum exhibit—come see how Logan's entire demeanor shifts when around Wade, free entry.
It changes things. People no longer see him as the "bad boy" who's incapable of settling down, they see him as a dangerous beast who can be tamed. Who's domesticated.
It makes him desirable to Jean in a way he wasn't in the original timeline. Ironically, Logan being in a relationship is what makes her finally want him. She saw Scott as her soulmate, the hero who she always comes back to and who treats her right. A little boring, but good. And here's Logan: attractive, exciting, dangerous... but soft. Capable of being a steady figure to lean against and an affectionate partner, just like Scott. She sees the other side of him he so desperately wanted her to, but a timeline too late.
And then there's Scott. He used to fight with him a little, before Wade. Used to flirt with Jean and piss him off on purpose, like a kid pulling a girl's pigtails. But that stopped. Logan doesn't care anymore about getting into fights just for attention when he has Wade, who kisses him any chance he gets. He can't really be bothered with keeping up their rivalry when he finally has a home, when he finally has a stable relationship to return to. There's no need to light himself on fire just to feel warm anymore.
It bothers them, deeply. Jean feels regret for brushing Logan off before, for treating his feelings as trivial now that she's seen what his love is worth. Scott feels uncomfortable with the shift in dynamic. Logan won't even look at him anymore, won't be his rival or his friend or his enemy. He hates change and he hates having the only person to really understand pull away. They both feel loneliness, an aching chasm where Logan once was. Where he should've stayed (even if he suffered, even if he was miserable and taken advantage of until he died).
But now he's with Wade. And that changes things.
(Okay, for some reason, the repost where I was talking about this just...disapeard?? So here I go. Again. I'm just going to post it as a separate thing.)
(Also, Warning, talking about child hood cancer, experimentation and torture, and the other general dark Logan or Wade things.)
Okay! So- obviously, with the timeline, it wouldn't work- but I can just change that because why not?
Imagine Wade being diagnosed with cancer at 8. He has chemo and some surgeries, then for a good 2 years he is cancer free. Of course, though, it comes back at around 11. There isn't anything they can do this time, though. The surgeries won't work, and chemo will only prolong the inevitable, so Wade has to accept his fate. His parents get approached by someone who promises to cure Wade, though. All they need to do is sign over their legal rights in regards to him, so that's what they do. Sure, they cured him, but only after years of being tortured and experimented on. Wade thinks his parents didn't know at the beginning, but after the first few months, he started to question if they knew what this place was. His parents had never been kind people, and Wade quickly decided his parents probably didn't care what happened when they signed that waver. He survives, though. He gets his mutation, and eventually, the X-Men manages to find the facility that has been doing this. He's glad all of the other kids have been saved and most of them reunited with their parents- he had looked after half of them in that hell hole so he feels responsible for making sure they are all save wherever they go- and he goes back to the school with the other kids who don't have a home to go back to or just don't want to go back home. It's weird to be a whole 17 years of age and not knowing how to function in the world. He knows how to survive, but that's about it. So, it's a struggle to settle into the mansion at first, but he quickly takes on the role of bigger brother to the younger kids. And yeah, he finds it hard to interact with the people his own age, too terrified to deal with the possible riddicule of how he looks.
Logan's been there awhile. He was found by the Professor after a few news articles popped up about some 'strange deaths' and he had investigated. No one at the school knows much about him- they know he lived in the woods for a year when he was 13, and that the Professor found him- but that's about it. Practically all the students avoid him like the plague in the halls and at meal times. It's not that Logan tries to talk to the others anyway, and he doesn't really want too. He's used to being a lone wolf. He keeps to himself, doesn't want to deal with others shit, and he plans to keep it that way. He's gonna leave this place as soon as he is 18 next year. He isn't even sure where he would go, but he refuses to join the X-Men. He can't bring himself too- to many accidents with the claws and panic attacks to be able to help people.
Naturally, Wade decides that Logan is the person he is going to befriend. Even if the idea of being judged terrifies him, he can't help but be interested in the quiet brooding bad boy.

Everyone would be panicked and freaking out when he went missing. Wade was like the glue holding them together, giving them comic relief and somehow knowing all of their preferences and backstories. They were wary of him at first but eventually came around.
They knew he was young by his voice and physique, but assumed he was 20-25. There was no way someone younger could possess that level of skill. Still, a few of them came to become familial figures to him and took care of him.
So when he was gone, they were devastated. It almost tore them apart.
Only for him to be completely fine. And dragging along poor Logan, who they're all instantly wary of. Fun times...

How does Logan’s inner animal work? It's not like a split personality right? It's a natural part of him. But does it have its own voice? Can Logan tap into it when he needs to? Or does it take over? Is his animal the actual Wolverine? Is this what causes his beserker rage paired with his PTSD? what does his animal do when he's happy and satisfied?
To be honest, I see Logan's "inner animal" in the same way people refer to an "inner child." It's a part of him, not a separate identity, but a part that sometimes is easier to give its own shape and voice to conceptualize it. It doesn't literally speak to him or have a voice, but he can recognize when his wants and instincts are driven by the "animalistic" part of him.
It doesn't take over so much as he lets his emotions control him. They are his feelings and instincts, it's all Logan, but he loses control of himself in a flurry of rage or intense emotion.
To outsiders, it looks like he becomes an animal, the way he forgoes pretense and snarls and growls while unsheathing his claws. Sometimes he forgets to speak and other people's words don't register because of how single-minded he becomes. But it's all Logan, just a suppressed side of him that comes with his mutation. The desires he doesn't outwardly express come out when he's so stressed or overwhelmed (or sometimes content) that he doesn't have enough clarity to mask them.
I think Logan takes after the Wolverine in his more animalistic traits and mutations. His instincts align with those of a Wolverine, as do his body language and animalistic behaviors. He resembles it in an uncanny way, even if he isn't an outright physical hybrid.
His berserker rage is caused by the single-mindedness he defaults to when angry. It's like the world closes in on him and all he can see is his goal and so much red that it coats his vision. He loses semblance of rational thought and relies on his instincts instead, causing him to go into a "feral" state. It's the effect of intense adrenaline mixed in with his heightened mutant instincts and his poor emotional regulation and his PTSD all mixed together into a fucked-up cocktail.
When he's happy or satisfied, his instincts take on a different form. He curls up like a cat and seeks out warmth, clinging to Wade and enjoying the sun. He lets out a low rumble resembling a purr, shutting his eyes and feeling himself go boneless. He becomes more affectionate and cuddly and territorial when happy, nuzzling against Wade but hissing when other people get too close.

Ok, listen, we all know Logan and Wade would be super protective of each other....
BUT, LISTEN TO ME
Logan "I would give my life to protect him" Howlett
AND
Wade "Dare to touch him and I will kill you in the most horrible and sadistic way possible" Wilson
Give me a Wade who is willing to burn the entire world down for Logan
Give me a Logan who is willing to protect Wade with his body to prevent him from getting hurt.
This would definitely be a great impact on them, because they both have a healing factor, people take for granted that "they're fine and don't need to worry about them", which is a clear mistake, the fact that your wounds heal does not mean that there is no pain in them.
I love this idea.
Wade and Logan are insanely protective over each other even when they're the only people who can't die. Isn't it ironic? Two immortals cradling each other with care as if they could get hurt?
Wade is willing to kill anyone for Logan. His immediate reaction to seeing Logan hurt is bloodshed. He is merciless and cruel with anyone who dares to try and hurt Logan, no matter how small of a scratch they left. He would torture someone slowly and painfully, watching the terror build and the hope seep from their face until there's only a shell of a person left.
Logan can be violent, too, but he runs more on instinct. He'd protect Wade by slashing at people, but he mainly focuses on keeping him safe. He acts as a shield, taking an onslaught of pain just to spare Wade an injury. He tackles him and covers Wade's body with his, absorbing the brunt of explosions.
Logan is the shield to Wade's sword. Logan's first instinct is to protect, to hover, to block. Wade's first instinct is to slice, to kill, to lunge. Make no mistake, though: a shield has sharp edges and a sword can still parry attacks. If the right buttons are pushed, Logan would murder anyone in his path to reach Wade and Wade would sooner let himself be killed than let enemies reach Logan. But they balance each other out, sword and shield, defense and offense, protector and attacker.

I rambled to my friend about this the other day and thought I’d get another opinion
Thoughts on people having Logan call Wade ‘Mouth’ as a nickname/term of endearment??
I feel like it doesn’t make much sense, considering when Logan first used in the Odyssey it was said with venom to add insult to injury after his angry rant. Like we’ve already established that Logan’s rant cut Wade way deeper than he let on, so idk if calling him ‘Mouth’, even if it’s a way different context, would help very much.
(disclaimer no hate to authors who do this it’s completely a personal opinion more power to y’all ‼️‼️)
I personally don't write Logan using "Mouth" as an affectionate nickname because it doesn't come off that way to me. He might grumble or say it playfully when Wade annoys him, but I doubt it'd be used in moments of genuine intimacy. I see it the same way I see other insults: good for banter, not good for emotional vulnerability. So Logan might say, "Watch it, Mouth," when Wade says something to get on his nerves, but he wouldn't call him that when they're just spending time together.
I also think that Logan and Wade might associate it with confrontational or negative situations because of the Odyssey. Once Logan and Wade have a genuine conversation about what Logan said back then and how it cut Wade deeply, I think Logan might be willing to use it occasionally while they're play-fighting but that's about it.
Once Logan gets used to Wade's constant rambling, I think he'd find it comforting and seek it out. It's like white noise, something to distract him from his thoughts and to remind him that he's home. "Mouth" could insinuate he finds Wade's talkativeness annoying or negative, which Logan doesn't. He loves Wade's voice and thoughts and personality, and wouldn't belittle him. He could say it in a more lighthearted context in the same way he might say "asshole" but not really mean it, but it wouldn't be in his primary repertoire of nicknames.
Logan strikes me as the type to use more traditional pet names, the types you'd hear from people out in the country on the farms or in the forest. He'd frequently call Wade darling, buttercup, honey, pumpkin, etc. If he's feeling really soft he might call him baby. As for more playful nicknames, he might call him Princess (albeit softly) or Red. For a "softer" version of Mouth without the memories attached, he could halfheartedly call him a chatterbox (but it'd be pretty obvious he found it endearing).

I finished retagging all of my asks so I'm glad that's sorted.
Your interpretation of this concept was super good, I loved how you described Wade's anger and hurt. Because it isn't just that Logan was pissed off and called Wade annoying, he genuinely believed what he said at the time. He said it with honest and raw contempt. And he didn't just call him annoying, he dissected his personality and then said that he fundamentally hates him as a person and finds him pathetic. That type of shit doesn't heal overnight.
I agree that Logan would brush past it and only have vague but blurry memories of the Odyssey, especially with his mind clouded with rage. But Wade remembers it in perfect clarity, a flashbulb memory preserved forever. As the saying goes, "The axe forgets but the tree remembers."
I'm sort of a mix of Logan and Wade, to be honest. I relate to Logan with certain aspects, but I'm a chatterbox like Wade with my friends. I deal with negative emotions in one of two ways: I blow off steam immediately like Logan if that's acceptable or I bottle it up and keep it there until it boils over like Wade. Although to be fair I'm not nearly as explosive as either of them, I keep my emotions in check where I can.
Ok two things
1) I genuinely can't remember if I've asked this before but I would LOVE your take of the lingering after effects of the rant in the Honda Odyssey. Mainly because I'm going to talk about it again because it means a lot to me (Hugh Jackman my beloved you beautiful beautiful actor)
2) If you can make a tag specifically for the asks It would make navigation 10 times easier because I don't have an easy way of checking what I have and haven't asked (also sometimes I just want to read through everything you've said in response to stuff)
I've said a few things about the Odyssey before but I don't think I've ever answered an ask specifically about it. I have a short fanfic about this topic, actually. (Also good idea, I hadn't thought of adding a tag. I decided to tag my posts with #asks if you want to filter through them.)
The thing about Wade is that he tries to sweep his feelings under the rug. All the time. No matter how hurt he is. He tries to bottle up his feelings because he thinks they're stupid and that they make him vulnerable but they get to be too much and eventually, he bursts. So he holds all of his resentment and pain and fear inside of him, acting composed and unaffected, until he finally reaches a breaking point. And when he breaks, he breaks hard.
The issue with this is that because he's so good at acting fine, other people think he's fine. Or, well, as "fine" as Wade normally was. Everyone knew Wade had a few screws loose and that he was prone to impulsive behavior, but that was just common knowledge by now. He's insane but that's just how he is. But Wade is exceptionally good at masking genuine hurt as insanity and recklessness, so when his true emotions spill over it shocks those around him. He doesn't give any visible indication he feels upset until he suddenly snaps.
The Honda Odyssey is the same. Things are going shockingly smooth between Logan and Wade at first. They focus on doing missions for the TVA and through mercenary organizations together and manage to scrap together something resembling a routine. Wade distracts himself with the thrill of his new life so he doesn't have enough time to ponder or dissect his own emotions. Nothing good ever comes of that, anyway.
But Logan's words stick with Wade. Of course they do, how could they not? He took apart everything he shared with him and used it against him. He dug into every fucking pressure point, rubbing all his insecurities raw. And so naturally, they boil over.
It doesn't have to be a big event. They can just be washing the dishes and Logan makes a joke, or watching a show together. But suddenly it's all rushing back to Wade and the emotions are overwhelming in their intensity and he's breaking down and snapping at Logan, who's confused about what's wrong.
And Wade... doesn't know what to say. Because how can he explain that he's still hung up on a stupid speech Logan gave ages ago? It's embarrassing and childish, especially when he knows it's all true.
And he knows it is. Wade's turned it over in his head when he couldn't sleep, rolled the syllables over his own tongue, and replayed Logan's expressions as he spat the words out. Logan meant it. And he was right, Wade is pathetic. He's fucked up and isn't cut out to be anyone's hero and he's so unlovable that he couldn't keep the only girl who loved him despite his disfigured avocado face.
He knows and yet it still hurt for Logan to say it. For his hero, someone he looked up to and admired, to look and see him in all his glory only to spit in his face. To hear it confirmed by someone whose opinion mattered to him.
It sticks with him. It festers and grows and gnaws at him. He watches Logan for any signs of disappointment or contempt, is especially careful to bring up his past relationships, and remains on edge. He doesn't let himself fully relax or get comfortable. He keeps an eye on the door, waiting for Logan to walk out.
But he's fine. He's managing. Until suddenly it boils over and he isn't and he has to look Logan in the face and explain why he flinched when Logan yelled at him over something stupid.

ok but one of the, at least one thats not apart of the wade/logan family, just says fuck it scoops marry and falls in love with that sweet little puppy
I unironically think that the kids at the X-mansion would love Mary and immediately take to her.
They're used to being ostracized for the way they look, for their abilities, for being mutants. They're used to even animals cowering in fear or being wary around them because they don't register as entirely human.
Seeing Mary is like a breath of fresh air because they've never seen a dog that was a mutant like them. That was "deformed" in the eyes of society but beloved by its family and those close to it. An animal who ran up to them happily and nuzzled against them just like they were any other human, uncaring of their mutations. It didn't matter that she slobbered and shook and looked like she was on heroin. She was like them.
The kids would all coo over her and pet her, in awe at seeing an animal with a mutation, too. After getting over the initial shock of seeing Logan come by with Wade to scoop her up, they'd be begging him to bring her along every time he came to visit. And who can say no to all of the kid's puppy eyes? Certainly not him.
