Arcane art prints!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(guess who's my favourite)
Below will have all the info on the artists/where to buy/reviews
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Gay People Bookmarks - These are from @peachesobviously on Etsy. The quality of these are amazing. They're thick and like... soft. They feel so so nice and look great.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This gorgeous print is from @kingcael from their Ko-fi shop :) This came super fast and is so so pretty. Nice, glossy paper. I love staring at it and finding more and more details.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This masterpiece is from @petitesieste aka Arcanescribbles :) Check out her Instagram to see this art in HQ. I'm so happy to own her work now. This is a gorgeous piece from inprnt. The colours and details are amazing. (Scribs, you should post this art on here)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I have some miscellaneous stuff from inprnt. This is my second time purchasing from inprnt. Their shipping can get expensive and I'm not a huge fan of the texture of the paper on my fingers. But they look gorgeous. The colours are so vibrant and the image quality is great.
"Please don't let them see me" is from Pob Pob's carrd
"Blonde Viktor" is from @minherald (inprnt link)
The two screencap studies are from Bishipls on Instagram.
Mel is from @hansoeii (inprnt link)
Timebomb is from Kaapicino (gorgeous work)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(sorry for the shit screenshot but you'll just have to go to their page to see it in HQ :)
From @cerealism on Etsy. I fucking love this. The colours of it are gorgeous. The embossing is incredible. Such high quality. They've got some jayvik art (and BG3 if that's your thing) on there too!
Tumblr media
Works from Dandy Angelica. These are beautiful prints. Such care was put into my package. I got a personalized email saying my order was on it's way (rather than an automated one). Truly so sweet. If my shrine wasn't already too big, I'd gladly order again. Here's their Instagram for more stunning work! Tons more Viktor art (and more! Like BG3) (also the eye art is a holographic sticker :D)
Tumblr media
Prints from ohmsnwattsonart on Etsy. These are just incredible. The texture on these prints are amazing. They're not smooth or glossy like other prints, but they're just delectable. I fucking love them. They look so good too. Check out their Etsy for other cool art (Arcane, Marvel, SW, etc) <3
Tumblr media
Acrylic coasters from jjolee. Here's her carrd to get to her socials and Etsy! These are very nice and not a single cup has touched them because they're too pretty to use! So they sit on my shelf :)
And last, but not least:
Tumblr media
This stupid fucking shirt from Etsy. Which I was hesitant to buy from in case the quality would be shit. But it's pretty nice! Let's hope it holds up in the wash :)
I didn't wanna buy the Glorious Ovulation/Jesus/Hozier one. They're too obscure and I'm already too socially awkward to confidently wear this one outside. But. I'm so happy with it. It's so dumb. Plus the shirt will fold over or crinkle and then he'll look ssilly or scared.
Tumblr media
That's all! Support artists however you can. RIP my credit card and my wall space. Especially because I still want. So much more. Please pray for me that I don't lose the hyperfixation now that I've got my shrine all sorted.

The first thing Soyona notices when she returns to her hotel room is the lack of Saturday's customary tea arrangement on the table.
The second is the parcel beside her bed...and the envelope on her pillow.
She steadies herself quickly, settling her tense muscles: she has been careful these past few years, but if she was made again, authorities wouldn't have waited until she returned to a place she could so easily challenge in court. And any proper enemy would have needed to pass by the hotel's security.
But the timing of this oddity is too convenient to be coincidence.
She lowers her phone and walks unhurriedly toward the bed, eyeing the other corners of the room: there's nowhere to hide in a place this small, but even the security of her former penthouse had had its flaws...
There's no question in her mind now, and no surprise when she looks down on the pale yellow envelope (the shade of her hair from three years ago) that rests upon her pillow, and sees her name embossed with familiar handwriting.
She reaches down and picks it up, turns it over: a blue sticker seals it, with a single letter: "S".
It's her.
She considers throwing it away immediately. She should. That's the past. But...
She produces a knife from the bracelet on her arm, slender and silver, and slices through the seal.
There's a fragrance as it opens, and she sees the tips of two, no, three blue rosepetals. There's a white card behind them, and two fall as she pulls it free: on the front is a trio of cheaply-drawn Ankylosaurs with a childishly cute faces and party hats, cheering "Welcome to the Club!"
Soyona scowls, hoping it won't play music; she opens it, and at the top of the inside are the words "You're a DINOSAUR now!", with the number "40".
Almost every square centimeter of the rest of the card is covered in the same familiar, professional handwriting from the envelope, from the inside of the cover to just below the card's prewritten message. She starts reading the inside of the cover:
First of all, I hope you checked this first--who knows what kind of poison I could have snuck in here? And if someone else is reading this: hi!" (The second letter has a little heart). You can hand me off to your boss, she knows this isn't poisoned. And if you opened it without checking, I'm flattered that you know my handwriting enough that it's not a forgery.
Anyway, yes, I still know how to find you--no, I'm not telling you how Hope you weren't disappointed that the buyer didn't show up in Montecarlo last month: he didn't stand you up, but he really needed to double-check who he bribed. Anyway, I just wanted to congratulate you on reaching forty. Space is running out on the card, but I'm putting another note inside your gift. Don't worry, it's not a bomb or anything, you know I'm not like that. You should take some time off work, though--I would have said 'hi' in person if you had been in your room! Anyway, Happy Birthday! Hope your work went horribly.
At the bottom, a signature:
Sydney, with little rose petals and thorns blooming from the second "y'.
Then:
P.S.: I took your tea. It's your birthday. Treat yourself to coffee. I left a blend in the restroom with the machine.
Soyona stands up and walks over to the bathroom: sure enough, there is a blue bag of Turkish grounds, with the filter already inserted: Soyona doesn't bother to check if there is water in the machine: she remembers.
She adds the grounds, inserts the pot, and pushes the button. As it whirs to life, she steps back into the hotel room, walking over to inspect the package on her nightstand: it's a paper-wrapped rectangle about twenty centimeters long, tied up with gold ribbon. Another cut, and the paper falls away, revealing what looks to be half of an egg carton, and another note, this one on simple letter paper:
To the Broker:
I understand that your dinosaur business has taken something of a nosedive these past few years, but I want you to know that your work has left its seeds in many places, or perhaps, inspired a number of half-baked copies. Regardless, none of them have been as challenging to dismantle, especially with Darius's help.
The last two labs we busted had leftover eggshells; Dino-Nerd was pointing out how they all had different pigmentation, so we could identify the species. I thought about your paints, so I gathered up six different species (just the shells, not the dinosaurs!) and ground them up, mixed them with some paste, and made a few unique paints: I figured you would appreciate them. They're all labeled, so you can tell which one's which. Anyway, If you feel like quitting this whole "Criminal Mastermind" business and retire to being just a painter or something, I hope this helps. Or maybe you just want to relax while you're thinking up your next evil plan. Don't worry--if it gets out of hand, I'll foil that one, too.
Well, Happy Birthday! I hope you paint something beautiful...but good luck having it be more beautiful than the first piece we painted together!
Love!
Brooklynn.
P.S.: If the paints are really nice, please don't start a dinosaur egg trade of illegal paints. I don't need that kind of guilt.
P.P.S: Dino-Nerd also says if I mixed something like Dilophosaurus venom into paint, it might make a neurotoxin that could paralyze or poison you--don't worry, I didn't do that. I felt a little tingly with the Compsognathus eggs, though--I don't know if that's a defense mechanism or something. I recommend a brush. Take care!
Soyona reads the letter again, seeing if there might be a code or something hidden, but there's nothing: it's straightforward, simple, even with the professional beginning. She sighs and folds it shut.
"Reliable as always, Brooklynn," she mutters, setting the note atop the card and the envelope. "And always a troublemaker."
She reaches down to the box, and opens it to inspect the bottles inside.

Tumblr media
I managed to save only these stickers from "Dinosaurs Like Me" magazine right back from 2014. It is my favorite magazine ever. So its my the only physical copies of Luis V. Rey arts. Literally pocket-sized :'D
Blue framed are embossed, kinda 3D. And yeah, in magazine was placeholder for rare stereo-wario stickers. I even have one, with allo hunting on apatosaurus.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Just imagine: you are kiddo, relatives buying you half-empty, but colorful af magazine. And what you have to do? Ye, collect more colorful and inspirational artworks to have more. And presented animals there was pretty blood-thirsty, so you can randomly get massacre paper collectables.
Rey's arts just slaying💘💞💖

Tagged by @oldfritz six millennia ago. Rules: you're given a word and have to share an excerpt of your WIPs that start with each letter of the word. Word I was given was 'LOATHE'
...
L
Light is the first thing he makes sense of. His lashes flutter, eyes opening as a wave pushes up into his pant legs and grass tickles his face. When he's able to move again, he props himself up on his arms until he understands where he is. Memel, he thinks, maybe more north. He drags himself to his feet and stumbles up the shoreline and across a dockyard that must have been evacuated entirely.
What isn't he remembering?
Gilbert pulls a pack of cigarettes out of his pocket and water pours out of the cardboard box, making him swear. Next he discovers his military dagger is gone and his gun fared the same as the cigarettes. His coat, which he had taken to sleeping in as the war screamed toward its miserable end, was now full of sand, small pebbles, and holes from rolling around along the seafloor. He wanders past the dockyard gate and into the town proper, memory supplying his path down cobbled streets that sounded as empty as graves. ([Timeloop fic])
O
On the desk are folders of paperwork, surveillance reports and paper clipped photos of targets, note cards with lists upon lists; names, items, songs, directions, strings of numbers, quotes. ‘From spying on his own people, no doubt…’ Tolys thinks as he slides the lap drawer of Gilbert’s desk open and pushes aside more mélange in the form of envelopes with the patriotic seal of the German Democratic Republic embossed in each bottom corner, a few sheets of farm animal themed stickers, the kind of trinkets one gets while visiting tourist traps in sunny locations (all of which are friendly with Andropov of course), and no less than six types of military knife all without sheaths of any kind. Beneath the chaotically organized collection is a thin board that gives just a little when Tolys presses on it near the edge of the drawer. ‘Ah-ha.’ He smiles to himself as he presses on one corner and lifts the other with one of his fingernails, taking out the false bottom and setting it and its contents atop the desk. (Can and Shall Obey)
A
As they rounded the path leading back to the manor, he spotted a letter carrier approaching the doorman waiting for them at the front step. Ivan leaned in to speak. “Do you think it is another complaint?”
“It could be from anyone, in that case,” He laughed and allowed his head to knock against Ivan’s shoulder. (Hunt With The Hare)
T
They were all going to die here. It was such a simple thought, his own doom staring him directly in the face. A great reaper crouched before him and grinned with every tooth it had. Ivan whined through the vice grip of his esophagus. He did not want to die. The thunder grew nearer. He did not want to die here for a Tzar who sent peasants out from their fields to take up arms only to remain bound to their land once the fighting was done. He certainly didn't want to die for the man hissing at him to get himself under control and aim his gun at the enemy.
Ivan shook as he took aim. Someone tried to grab at the barrel from behind him, another man gasped and ducked down further before the gun went off. (Hunt With The Hare)
H
“Hmm, occasional menace to the people, Schild und Schwert?” Tolys squeezes his lemon slice over the meal, then drops the spent peel into his water. Gilbert casts him a dry look.
“It keeps me busy, isn't that what everyone wants? No idle hands for Mr. German Democratic Republic, no sir, I’ll be busy working and working to keep Vanya loaded and have to ask him oh so nicely whenever I want a cut of the gold,” he trails off as he glances sideways. “Speaking of… Great catching up with you and all but I've got to run.”
“What?” Tolys asks as Gilbert stands up and pulls the beanie down over his ears again. “What?” he asks again, to no avail, as the man walks away and leaves him with the bill. (Can and Shall Obey)
E
"Everyone's family is insane, I'm sure you're a testament to the bloodline," Tolys tried for a sympathetic smile and fell short with the remaining pinch of worry.
Gilbert shifted around until he could discreetly pull Tolys' hand down between their thighs. "Yeah, sure. We just gotta make 'em never invite me over for Christmas again. You're a real one for this, Toli," He laughed like sandpaper on stone, squeezing the hand in his until it matched his grip. "I haven't told them either. It's a surprise, hope it pisses some of them off." ([Christmas fic])

dark academia stationary tips? ideas? please? i beg of you.
Deepen Your Dive into Dark Academia Stationery:
Tumblr media
Crafting the Canvas:
Paper: Embrace the tactile – rough-edged parchment, marbled sheets, hand-dyed linen paper. Seek antique ledgers, vintage score sheets, or maps for a truly timeworn effect.
Ink: Let your words drip in history – deep emerald greens, rich burgundy, charcoal grey. Discover shimmering gold or silver for elegant annotations. For an extra flourish, explore calligraphy inks and vintage fountain pens.
Beyond the Basics:
Washi Tapes: Forget the neon, embrace botanical prints, celestial patterns, and antique library stamps. Layer them for depth, use them to seal letters, or decorate journal edges.
Stickers & Tags: Pressed leaves, dried flowers, and ephemera from library archives add a touch of natural mystery. Vintage anatomy diagrams, constellations, and old library catalog cards offer an academic flair.
Sealing Secrets: Wax seals & ribbons elevate simple letters into heirlooms. Choose deep green wax, embossed with a raven, a quill, or your own monogram. Tie with silk or hemp twine for a finishing touch.
Unleashing the Scholarly Spirit:
Journals & Notebooks: Opt for leather-bound volumes, with aged paper and ribbon bookmarks. Decorate with antique maps, pressed flowers, or handwritten quotes from your favorite poets.
Organizing Knowledge: Index cards, vintage library pockets, and antique file folders help categorize your studies. Label them with elegant script and adorn them with botanical sketches or scientific diagrams.
The Scholar's Tools: Antique brass compasses, vintage rulers, and magnifying glasses add a touch of academic ambiance to your desk.
Whispers of Antiquity:
Poetry & Letters: Handwrite in a flowing script, penning sonnets or letters to fellow scholars. Let foreign languages add a touch of mystery, or slip in quotes from forgotten classics.
Ephemera & Found Objects: Tuck pressed leaves, antique botanical prints, or ticket stubs from forgotten museums into your notebooks. Let them spark inspiration and evoke past journeys.
The Art of Storytelling: Create your own dark academia-inspired stationery. Make vintage-themed envelopes from maps, decorate boxes with constellation patterns, or craft your own wax seal stamp.
Remember, dark academia is about embracing an atmosphere. Let your creativity flow, curate your collection with intention, and transform your stationery into a portal to an enchanting world of forgotten knowledge and secret societies.

A leather 'card case' wallet, part of the merchandise selection from an undetermined Japan stop, most likely within the last 15 or so years.
Embossed with the CATS logo in large format on the front, as well as a smaller detail within, the piece is well made (and smells nice).
It is presented in a CATS branded box, with rice paper wrapping around the item, complete with a small CATS sticker to seal. At the bottom of the box is a care card telling of the variation in any leather good, and how to keep the item as new as possible, as well as a rather large silica gel pack to keep it preserved.

Hey lovelies,
I recieved a custom book embosser for Christmas!! I love it so much, however, it is hard to see the imprint on the paper.
So I want to get cute (themed) stickers to emboss. All I am finding are the gold and silver, round, boring ones. Can y'all leave some ideas or links for some cute themed embossing stickers??

number one; on journaling and the fear of being perceived
dearest stranger, auto-biographical writing has always been something I've craved; an outlet for my million-thought-a-minute mind. When I was younger, I tried to keep journals in A4 Warwick exercise books, the only free paper my family had on hand – but it never felt quite right. When I was 14, with my first pay cheque in hand and a little more optimism, I indulged in envelopes and stickers and pearlescent paper. I thought if I made the entire ordeal more romantic, it would be easier to maintain on the regular. This did work for a while, I wrote maybe 10 letters to my future self over the span of 3 months. But, like most hobbies of mine, it slowly drifted out of my routine until it was nothing but an afterthought. Soon after that came the novelty stationery: a seemingly fixed gift in my Christmas and birthday registries. Time and time again I would be gifted these beautiful notebooks, with glittery covers or leather embossed with goldleaf lettering. I would pick the smoothest ballpoint pen, sit at my lamp-lit desk, and try my best to make my chicken scratch legible as I wrote the first entry. This is it. I'd tell myself, this is when I finally start keeping a journal. But now all I have are boxes full of notebooks with exactly one entry each, all of them the same introductory rhetoric. The problem I had with all of these mediums was that I was far too performative. I would spend too much time worrying what people would think instead of just writing. Though I had countless interesting anecdotes from my youth that certainly would have made an impressive journal, I would instead pen some pseudo-philosophical bullshit in a voice that wasn't my own. I imagined myself as the next Anne Frank (a statement that's definitely problematic in so many ways). And I would picture my journals being published in the future, a cursive tagline scrawled across the cover, 'A look into the adolescent mind of beloved author, Elisabeth Grace - genius of her generation'. Humility was never my forte. My fear of judgement, my inherent longing to be seen as something more than myself, caused me to burn out whenever I tried to write in a letter, journal or diary. As a result, I never got practice, and could never be satisfied with my skill set. Creating an indefinite loop of dissatisfaction every time I tried to put pen to paper. Though, even through these hardships writing, I found one spot I could always pour out my heart and soul – a sacred, glistening oasis of hope in the parched desert that is my mind. The notes app. Here, I could write whatever and whenever I wanted. I could meditate on my life problems, write shitty poems about pebbles, draft messages to my boss, and lament in a love letter that would never be sent. I could ramble, ponder, rant, be stupid, be silly and, most importantly, be myself. Without the fear of it ever being read or seen, there were zero expectations. It was a heaven-sent miracle. But as I move through my second year of university, and the deadline for my creative-writing portfolio draws closer, I find myself stuck. I've never had a problem with writing creative fiction before. I was a prolific fanfic author, and even now I'm constantly writing short stories and snippets of novels. However, despite being known amongst family and friends as 'the writer', no one has actually seen any of my work. I've always written purely for my own, self-serving enjoyment. I can look at my works and conclude that sure, they're good, but is that my own bias telling me so? And is it good enough to get into a limited-entry course? I'm terrified to show anyone in my personal life any of my writing, let alone an academic that's proficient in the art. What if I'm not as good at it as everyone expects? What if my entire degree is pointless, and I can never pursue the career I so desperately crave? And so I sit, my fingers hovering over the keyboard, every idea and article seeming insignificant compared to my own anxiety. Paralyzed.
That's why I've created this blog. Somehow sharing bits of my mind with the void that is the internet is much less scary than sharing it with anyone in my personal life. I need an outlet that can ease me into sharing my work. An outlet that is authentic to me, and my experiences. As I write this, I glance around my messy room, with dirty clothes strewn across the floor and two night tables littered with too many mugs – I've come to the (probably obvious) realization that I will never be the type of person to have stacks of journals written in cursive. I will never have neatly organized letters, or an impressive scrapbook full of curated collages. Instead I have my notes app – and now, a blog. A blog where I can post anything I want, and write whatever entries I please. Vomit a thousand words onto a page, all within the eyeline of a thousand witnesses. It's a frightening concept, but one that's also oddly comforting. This is the first step in my journey to live without shame. Yours Truly, E.B.G. ₍^. .^₎⟆
