"reprogram your brain for consistency, not intensity"
Log: 17th March
regular housekeeping tasks
research work 2P
read journal papers
evening walk
Cut the dopamine supply. Work in short, controlled bursts (20-30 minutes max) — even when you feel like working longer. Leave tasks unfinished. This forces your brain to stay engaged in the background without burning out. Delay gratification. After each session, step away. Don’t check results or keep pushing. Low-dopamine environment. Limit phone use, social media, and even music that triggers a dopamine spike.

slow day consisting of hanging out with ollie, radiative collapse of a classical atom (prep for next semester), and avo egg toast 🤤 oh, and a juicy 100 on my final circuits project! i honestly was expecting something much lower, but i’m so, so grateful. the hard work of the past few weeks paid off :)

Went to a cafe after consultation with thesis adviser to buckle down and study. But my friend went and got a little distracted but got a paper done, and started on another one. But I lacked review for my quiz tomorrow. Wish me luck! I'm gonna study tonight while waiting for my other hironos to arrive.

Pros of writing your thesis on something only you and two more people are working on: it's cool to say that you work on something only you and two more people know about
Cons of writing your thesis on something only you and two more people are working on: only two people know what you're talking about so whenever someone asks you what you're working on it always gets awkward

today was a long day. there were no seats available inside to study so me and my boyfriend studied outside. at first, it was so cold that we couldn't get a lot done (we drank hot chocolate from the vending machine) but later in the day the sun came out. the feeling of the warmth of the sun was regenerating (i am still tired tho).
productivity list:
⟡ took some notes for operating systems
⟡ went to a databases lesson
⟡ got 6.4k steps
⟡ talked with my project group about the next steps we have to take

writing my statics final—the last one—in less than an hour! formula sheet’s a bit of a mess, but i feel really confident about this one. after the exam i’ve got one more day to grind my circuits project before the semester’s officially over🥳my boyfriend’s throwing a party at the end of the week to celebrate, i can’t wait to drink away the stress and exhaustion

Learning to code and becoming a data scientist without a background in computer science or mathematics is absolutely possible, but it will require dedication, time, and a structured approach. ✨👌🏻 🖐🏻Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you get started:
1. Start with the Basics:
- Begin by learning the fundamentals of programming. Choose a beginner-friendly programming language like Python, which is widely used in data science.
- Online platforms like Codecademy, Coursera, and Khan Academy offer interactive courses for beginners.
2. Learn Mathematics and Statistics:
- While you don’t need to be a mathematician, a solid understanding of key concepts like algebra, calculus, and statistics is crucial for data science.
- Platforms like Khan Academy and MIT OpenCourseWare provide free resources for learning math.
3. Online Courses and Tutorials:
- Enroll in online data science courses on platforms like Coursera, edX, Udacity, and DataCamp. Look for beginner-level courses that cover data analysis, visualization, and machine learning.
4. Structured Learning Paths:
- Follow structured learning paths offered by online platforms. These paths guide you through various topics in a logical sequence.
5. Practice with Real Data:
- Work on hands-on projects using real-world data. Websites like Kaggle offer datasets and competitions for practicing data analysis and machine learning.
6. Coding Exercises:
- Practice coding regularly to build your skills. Sites like LeetCode and HackerRank offer coding challenges that can help improve your programming proficiency.
7. Learn Data Manipulation and Analysis Libraries:
- Familiarize yourself with Python libraries like NumPy, pandas, and Matplotlib for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization.
