Today was technically my first day of the semester. Since this semester I'll be self studying, I have control over when and how I do what, and I decided this is my first week of slowly getting back to my study routine. Yesterday I had both therapy and work in the morning, so it will be a short week, but it's okay. In order to give my brain the time to get back to studying I decided this week I'll be only studying in the mornings, and today went quite well. I organized all the materials for the first class I'll be working on, and then I also gathered part of the materials I'll need for another class. Finally I started reading and annotating the main book I have to study for this class. I only worked on the introduction so far, but it was a good way to get my brain into focusing on academic work again. The rest of my day was pretty chill, I went on a walk despite it being colder than I'd like it to be in September, ate lunch at my brother's and spent part of the afternoon with him.
productivity list:
read first thing in the morning
downloaded part of the materials for a future class
organized all the materials for my history of Sabaudian states class
started reading, underlining and writing notes for the main book I have to study for said class
duolingo
worked on crochet project

I fall off the horse, but always get back on it. It may take a while, but the goal will be accomplished.

When I'm travelling I keep a travel diary. Since I'm in Japan for three months I got a new Midori MD notebook, so I can fit it all my adventures in one book β¨

Sometimes hanging out with your friends in the library to get your assignments done makes you actually focus.
This Econ assignment is challenging, I'm not going to lie.

Well hello again Tumblr,
Been completely MIA because life has truly taken some wild turns over the past two weeks. I did however go to a cafe on Sunday where I had an overpriced honey lavender latte-
But I mean it was an aesthetic cafe so I do think Iβm paying to just sit down for the experience yknow?
Just doing some readings, finding the will to live β yknow the basic stuff.
Thank you so much btw for 50 followers !!

Today I started to properly read the main book I have to study for my history of the Sabaudian states exam, since yesterday I had only worked on the introduction, and I must say I hate the way it's written. There's two authors, so I hope the writing on the chapters by the second author will be better cause at the moment I am struggling. This book presents itself as an history of but goes straight into details jumping from one century to another without having created a sort of time table of events at all. It should focus on a period of time going from the 15th century to the mid 19th century, which means that there's a lot of geographical changes in these states, but since this chapter so fart jumps back and forth it's not even that easy to understand? I genuinely hope that they just fucked up the structure of the book and later on there will be clearer explaination of the geographical and political changes. It's definitely a harder start than I expected, maybe if I picked different materials to get back into my studying routine it would have been easier, but I'll make it work. I plan on finishing the first half of the first section of the book by the end of this week. In the afternoon I finally started putting in jars the herbs I have dried, but of course I didn't finish. I have also continued working on the sweater I am crocheting for my mom's birthday. It's the first time I make a garment for someone else, so I am a bit nervous, but hopefully it will turn out to be nice, and she'll like it.

Happy Sunday,
I did absolutely nothing academically productive on Saturday so I attempted to make up for it by going to a coffee shop. I pretty much just sat here the whole afternoon attempting to understand a codebase I have to work with for a project.
But did I understand shit? Debatable.
But was this coffee shop such a lovely study spot? Yes!!
New study space unlocked- I could see myself coming back here on the weekends.
God I donβt want to go into work tomorrow, best of luck everyone for the upcoming week. May we make it out in one piece.
