Tally Hall fans are so fucking annoying (no one on tumblr, most people on tumblr who like tally hall are pretty cool), dont get me wrong, I love tally hall, but like whenever I meet a tally hall fan i have to literally GATEKEEP. I've liked things like sElf, surf curse, lemon demon, will wood, dazey and the scouts, bo en, etc. etc. for longer than I can remember, even before tally hall (and newer artists like femtanyl and yaelokre) which ive liked for a large chunk of my life (i even was one of those annoying fans in like '22 and '23) and the people who liked those artists back when they were my favorite were actually pretty chill UNTIL tally hall fans started "liking" them. Like, they're even starting to "like" nirvana and weezer who arent even indie..!!! its like i cant even like music anymore without a stupid fucking tally hall fan appearing- (no hate to anyone if they also like these artists!!! its fine as long as you arent annoying like this) like once they find out about 1 artist they make it their "hyperfixation11!11!1" and then act like theyre the biggest fan ever SYBAU BRO.. and another thing FUCKING CANCEL CULTURE. i actually cannot with cancel culture, almost every tally hall fan (ALMOST. Skyjacks Lastest Arc Jolly Jack and Potàmia Cuomo- Thoughts and Lore

I don't think people do enough appreciation for making up questions for how the world building works here. It's definitely slow burn , expansive, lots of directions

Cool stuff: drowned sailors lore, coyote biting dead dick salty balls, giant crane, forest queen deals and trickery, Travis having at least one person he rather never see again and a new one by the end of the arc, Margret trying to do her job and more lore, lumens fighting each other while normal people are trying to work and get on. Wendell very big adventure.

I liked this arc. I also like Jolly Jack overeall as a character, sad to see Jiyrace didnt make a big appearance, I'm sure they were out there.

Thoughts:

The whole point was, I think, to force Travis to begin his character redemption arc. Way back in Buzaneeth (spelling?) it's hinted that he was the cause for Courier Ashworth, who delivered Gable letters and his bird, parents going missing. I mean literally one line, I won't do a heist with you, I remember what you did last time. That could be me reading into it, but I listen to all of Couriers Call to. He tore up Margaret's letter at the Jungle, he obviously regrets that in this arc. So wherever he was after sizing up with mom , he decided he probably should try again to have a conversation.

The lore of Margret dying is so off the power of Lumen stories and Travis which has been more overtly shown, just how deep that tangle goes. Eventually the Forest Queen will have to die to allow the cycle to continue, who knows if that's going to be in campaign or not, but I think it pushes a narrative been repeated over and over again, finally see it played out with larger stakes. In Nordia, there was the Mariner, but since Jonnit was the pull of his focus, the river was the only thing separating them.

Jolly Jack is some kind of lumen. I don't think we got any more hints. We know he knows how to make feather weave, and for some reason I was absolutely convinced it was going to be let me show you how I make salt and then salt canons at drowned soliders. We got how feather weave is made. That's important. The syndicate either doesn't know or knows to the extreme and is resource guarding, reinforcing again capitalism limits. He stilted in his own journey, and Margret with Travis was a great distraction to go, actually let's focus on your problems.

Travis seeing direct omens and not taking them seriously at first very on point.

I think the arc reallt highlights that the listener understands that the lumens, literal in the physical with Travis, Margret, drowned and marked sailors, and the unphysical , forest queen and the river, that their affects and presence for people trying to get on with their lives. To the people there one minute their entertaining a well known merchant and Keifs got a crane side project and the next the lumens have decided actually fuck your settlement, their having to pull up to keep going.

If you knew a god that represented enternal changing stories was hanging out eating dinner with you, you probably have some questions.

I think it also points to the limits Travis and Margret have over directly stopping other forces like the Mariner. Or else they would have been able to change the direction of events completely. The forest queen to requires people to willingly accept her help in some cases, I guess there has to be a forest there for her to have power to divide up a place or eat it. That's interesting for the story going forward. Margaret ability to escape death, without the Cutting Stones being alerted, is interesting to. Do lumens have an unnatural abiliy to avoid dying? Forest Queen arc so far shows that's probably a really bad thing as stories should be allowed to change.

-Eddie climbs a tree

-Kurt Cobain and Lauryn Hill team up

-Graham is an idiot and eats poison berries and dies

-Damon cries

-Thom fills Jonny's spot in Colin, Kathleen, and Eddie's group

-Thom comforts Colin after his brother died

-Jarvis Cocker stabs Kurt

Day 5:

-Damon ambushes and kills Thom

-Colin cries

-Dave Grohl teams up with Rivers, Serj, and Chris

Night 5:

-Colin purposely eats poison berries so he can die, because he feels guilty for letting his little brother and Thom get killed (damn) but he picked the wrong berries and just ended up eating normal ones, and was fine

-Kathleen splits off from Eddie and Colin after the death of Thom and Jonny, and teams up with Lauryn, Dave, and Jarvis

Day 6:

-Damon is hunting everyone

-Jarvis questions his sanity

-Fiona sings a song while walking through the woods

-Colin and Eddie hide in a tree but while climbing, Eddie falls out and dies (ironic)

Night 6:

-Damon, Kathleen, and Jarvis have a deep conversation about the meaning of life

-Lauryn Hill and Dave Grohl team up and build a fort

-Rivers dies mysteriously after talking shit about president snow (NOOOO)

-Colin finds a cave to hide in, but it gets really dark, and he's afraid of the dark. He gets lost in the cave and cries and has a panic attack

if you follow me, you have most likely (definitely) heard of the band weezer. and if you're reading this right now, you have heard of weezer 100% and have heard buddy holly once at the very least. and yeah. of course you have. since that's the most popular weezer song due to its success when it first released and recent internet memes.

now, for the very rare few who haven't heard of weezer:

weezer is a band from los angeles california. the band was formed in 1992 by rivers cuomo, patrick wilson, matt sharp, and jason cropper. although, the current members, (as of 2024), are rivers cuomo, patrick wilson, brian bell, and scott shriner. and me? im fucking obsessed with this band oh my god

the blue album, also known as weezer, which is weezers debut album, was released on may 10, 1994. the albums debut single is undone - the sweater song, which you have most likely heard of in some shape or form. although, despite the song gaining some success, many people had just seen the band as a gimmick or just some nerds. now, many weezer fans consider these two albums to be great. with some minority STILL not liking pinkerton. now, despite its mediocre reception when it was released, it is mostly considered to be a masterpiece. now, what about the blue album? classic. every weezer fan has to listen to this album. it may not be everyones favorite, but it is definitely appreciated. its like a stepping stone, waiting for greater things to come. the blue album and pinkerton are definitely some of the most important weezer albums.

Hey everyone. If you're seeing this you've probably followed me for some time, and know me as "averagebrianbellenjoyer". Look through it in your own time, but I can say from what I've seen a lot of his behaviour is creepy and inexcusable.

At the time I didn't consider them as fully valid, given that there was no evidence from the victim herself to back them up, and her youtube video had been taken down before I could watch it. Basically because of the lack of evidence I had thought these were (fucked up) joke allegations like the gay allegations or something. Now that there is evidence, I can say with certainty that Brian Bell is a nonce and I won't be supporting him any longer.

I know a lot of weezer's fanbase is quite young (as in younger than blue and pinkerton), and while I think that it's not inherently wrong to interact with young fans, the way he did it was completely inappropriate. There's a big difference between answering a child's questions about his music and getting overly touchy with a 14 year old girl. And I don't mean offering a hug touchy, I mean touchy to the point that even if he went to any Arab country (which are notorious for very 'touchy' greetings) and did this shit, he would probably get beaten up by the locals.

There's also general other gripes, such as him trying to incite a smear campaign against one of his former bandmates, which while not damaging on its own, definitely doesn't help with the nonce allegations and the general self-centred persona he gives off.

I do not want to be associated with, let alone support such a disgusting character as Bell. I'm going to be changing my profile picture and renaming my blog "Jean's Corner". I will also be deleting my Brian Bell fanfiction off of AO3, and revoking his honorary Moroccan citizenship. Frankly, this man does not deserve a fan base. The most fitting punishment (after prosecution if he has committed statutory rape etc.) is for him to fade into obscurity and die unknown. I also think it's time Weezer found a new guitarist, hell I'd even be happy to see Jason Cropper re-join the band. For the time being I will continue listening to Weezer, as I enjoy it on an artistic level. The band has more members than Bell, and the bulk of their work can be attributed to Rivers Cuomo (and Jason Cropper re. Blue), not Bell. Plus there are other bands that I still listen to and enjoy due to their emotional significance for me like the Dresden Dolls, even if one of their members was incredibly racist (sang a minstrel song which included the n-word which she said hard r). Whether I continue to listen to Weezer or not might change in the next couple of weeks depending on how Rivers Cuomo and the rest of the band respond to these allegations, and given that I haven't listened to them in ages, they wouldn't be difficult to give up.

Though I never listened much to Bell's own music, from now I will completely avoid his solo projects such as Space Twins and The Relationship. I might even avoid Weezer songs where he sings lead vocals, such as Thought I Knew and Everybody Get Dangerous, but I'm not fully sure yet.

To basically conclude this clusterfuck of a situation, Brian Bell is a nonce, and I don't want to have anything to do with him anymore. May he be excommunicated from the band and fade into obscurity.
