This photo is from an advertisement for Barry Manilow’s show in Vegas (on Instragram). While it might look like it was AI generated, I think that’s what his face looks like.

I was rambling on the issue of museums and human remains and how certain populations are more likely to have their bodies put on display to be gawked at and then went "well I guess the Pompeii casts were of Europeans. there are bones in there right?" and Googled it to make sure, at which point I confirmed that yes there are bones in there, but more interestingly DNA testing revealed that a cast of an adult holding a child everyone assumed was a mother and child were, in fact, a man and a kid entirely unrelated to him. Honestly that's more moving to me. Maybe they were connected in a way other than blood, but maybe a stranger saw a child when the world was ending and thought the one thing he could do was hold them.

Transform Your Profile with Confidence: A Complete Guide to Rhinoplasty Surgery
Rhinoplasty surgery, commonly referred to as a "nose job," is one of the most sought-after cosmetic procedures worldwide. Whether it’s for aesthetic improvement, correcting breathing issues, or repairing trauma-related damage, rhinoplasty offers a powerful solution to enhance both form and function of the nose. If you’re considering this transformative procedure, understanding the essentials can help you make a confident, informed decision.
What Is Rhinoplasty Surgery?
Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure that reshapes or resizes the nose. It can be performed for both cosmetic and medical reasons. Cosmetic rhinoplasty focuses on improving the appearance of the nose, such as altering the bridge, tip, or nostrils. Functional rhinoplasty, on the other hand, addresses internal structural issues like a deviated septum that may cause breathing difficulties.
The procedure can be performed using two main techniques: open rhinoplasty, which involves an external incision at the base of the nose, and closed rhinoplasty, where all incisions are made inside the nostrils. Your surgeon will choose the approach that best suits your specific needs and desired outcomes.
Why Do People Choose Rhinoplasty?
Aesthetic Enhancement: Many people opt for rhinoplasty surgery to bring harmony to their facial features. A nose that is too large, crooked, or asymmetrical can affect overall facial balance. By reshaping the nose, patients often experience a significant boost in self-confidence.
Correcting Structural Issues: A deviated septum or nasal valve collapse can impair breathing. Functional rhinoplasty can restore normal airflow and improve quality of life.
Trauma Repair: Accidents or injuries can distort the nose. Reconstructive rhinoplasty helps restore its original shape and function.
Revision Surgery: Sometimes, previous nose surgeries may not yield the expected results. Revision rhinoplasty is performed to correct or refine these outcomes.
The Procedure: What to Expect
Tumblr media
Rhinoplasty surgery is typically performed under general anesthesia and can take 1 to 3 hours depending on the complexity. After the procedure, a splint is usually placed on the outside of the nose to support its new shape during healing. You may experience swelling, bruising, and some discomfort for the first few days, which gradually subsides.
Most patients can return to light activities within a week and resume normal routines within 2-3 weeks. Full healing, including final nose shape, may take up to a year as subtle changes settle in over time.
Choosing the Right Surgeon
Selecting an experienced, board-certified plastic surgeon is crucial for achieving safe, natural-looking results. Look for a specialist who has a strong portfolio in rhinoplasty surgery and offers personalized consultations. The surgeon should evaluate your nasal structure, facial balance, skin type, and overall health to create a tailored surgical plan.
Is Rhinoplasty Right for You?
Ideal candidates for rhinoplasty surgery are:
In good physical health
Non-smokers
Realistic in their expectations
Concerned about the appearance or function of their nose
During the consultation, your surgeon will discuss your goals, take photographs, and may use 3D imaging to simulate potential outcomes. This process helps align your vision with what’s surgically achievable.
Final Thoughts
Rhinoplasty surgery is more than a cosmetic enhancement—it’s a life-changing procedure that blends artistry with medical science. Whether you're seeking improved facial symmetry, better breathing, or restored confidence, rhinoplasty can be a transformative solution when performed by a skilled surgeon.
Before making any decisions, ensure you are well-informed, have realistic expectations, and choose a qualified expert. With the right approach, rhinoplasty can help you achieve the facial harmony and self-assurance you deserve.

dont taint your beauty by playing arts + craft with your face.
i am terribly afraid of plastic surgery. there are so many opportunities for something to go wrong, and if something does, at best you are plagued with insecurity, and at worst your body is functionally crippled. one thing i’ve learned from listening to celebrity’s and watching BBL storytimes is that more often than not, its not just the one surgery. many women need to get a revision, and in addition to that, as soon as your body composition fluctuates, so will that booty. want to go the the gym to gain a little weight or gain some muscle? you might lose your 10k ass in the process.
but one thing I REFUSE to consider is getting surgery on my face. even something as simple as botox could paralyze it. additionally, something that many people don’t know about nose jobs is that it look perfect, but it could lead to you struggling to breath through your nose.
there is a reason why a-list celebrities have such amazing work and it’s because the have the pockets to get top-tier surgeons to work on them. that’s where many women fuck up. they decide that they want to get surgery, but they don’t have the pockets for a 30k BBL or 100K face lift here in America, so they go outside the country where the regulations aren’t as strict. less strict regulations means less safety. talk to any American plastic surgeon, the #1 thing that they are going to advise is that you do not go outside the country, and if you do, their regulations need to be on par with the US.
