book 7 chapter 13 part 2 (book 7 finale!!) thoughts

***THIS POST CONTAINS MASSIVE SPOILERS FOR BOOK 7 PART 13 OF THE MAIN STORY!!*** This spans part 328 to part 349.

This (finally) conclude book 7!!

Please note: this is NOT meant to be a summary or a translation; these are only my initial thoughts on the events that roughly unfold. There may be details overlooked or misunderstood in this post, so PLEASE do not use this as a translation.

ALRIGHT FELLAS, LOCK IN.

We open with a scene of the final confrontation against Malleus (like one of Yuu’s dreams/visions).

Everyone is slowly waking up. UHHH it’s not a pretty sight though, Malleus has grown into his full dragon form and crashed through the ceiling. His voice is becoming distorted. (No live 2D sprite, only a blacked out version of his OB form.)

Mob students panic and almost trample themselves to escape. Us first years brace for impact but suddenly…?! CROWLEY saves us?! YEEEEEEAAH DAD CAME BACK WITH THE MILK LET'S GO 🥛

Crowley commands the staff and dorm leadership to help the students get away. Crewel and Trein use ice magic but it’s instantly melted. (Sam tends to their wounds!) Vargas is knocked back trying to protect students with his body. (Kalim flies him to safety!)

The dorm leaders command their vices to lead their students out. Some notable ones: Jade leads, Floyd is in the back chasing them. Jamil takes charge and tells Kalim to guide people on the magic carpet. Because Ignihyde has no dorm leader, Ortho tells some of their students to be the leaders for the others. Ruggie leads Savanaclaw.

UUHHHHHHH the only person that has not woken up is Lilia. He’s still sleeping at dragon!Malleus’s feet. Silver is freaking tf out OTL calling out to Lilia, trying to wake him, but it doesn’t work.

Sebek is terrified and claims he can’t fight Malleus, he is just too powerful! Chevfowrgwiwj ADEUCE KICK HIM AND SEBEK’s SO inSuLTED HE DECIDeS TO JOIN THE FiGHT AGAIN

Malleus is sending thorns after us to “capture the humans”. ASDHHKAHDLA The tone of voice he takes on is scary, it's like we're farm animals that escaped a pen and he's trying to toss us back in there.

We cut to Ignihyde xjsvsjkw IT’/s A PlOT POiNT THAT iDIA iS OUT OF ShApE, he’s struggling to reach the meetup point to collect the sword, shield, and armor to fight Malleus with. Igni mobs A, B, and C run support and provide him with a magical wheel, which Idia happily accepts.

LOL his mom says he looks cool, just like a prince!! (EW WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT MRS. SHROUD... DON'T MAKE ME THINK IDIA IS COOL.)

The vice dorm leaders (minus Jamil) have led the mobs to main street. There, they collide with Idia.

The dorm leaders (excluding Kalim) are staying behind to stave off Malleus. Us first years ignore evacuation orders and come back.

LILIA FINALLY WAKES UP (not sure why he took longer than everyone else; I thought he wouldn't wake at all and Malleus was keeping him asleep as his "most precious" thing to protect???) 😭 but his magic is so weak he cannot even summon a flame. Begins to cut through the briar instead.

The OB boys are close to irl OB and cannot hold off Malleus for much longer. LMAO. Rowley is crying at the amount of physical damage to the school vjsbfiwhfhskdmd

When all hope is about to be lost, HERE COMES THE MOTORCYCLE REVVING SOUNDS— Holding out for a hero moment fr 💀

OH MY GOD THERE IT IS, I WAS RIGHT WITH MY THEROYT

The armor made of mystium changes form depending on the pilot… Silver assumes the Dawn Knight’s armor and Sebek takes on the same armor his grandfather gifted him in Lilia’s dream.

Malleus scoffs at them and says he will melt Sebek’s shield—but Sebek says there’s no way, because this was something made with the strength if both fae and humans!! Malleus feels betrayed learning that even his grandmother stands against him.

Sebek corrects his liege. They are all standing WITH Malleus. Silver agrees. To prevent Malleus from completely losing himself and becoming the “ruler of evil”, they MUST stop him here and now.

Man. This really is mirroring the Dawn Knight and Maleanor battle. (Believe even the dragon sprite used for Malleus is the same form his mother takes.)

Malleus blows away Sebek’s shield and Silver rushes to protect him. DBHLsiflaiyDSLBI THEY'RE REENACTING THE EVETSN OF THE PAST

LILIA GETS IN THE WAY?!?!!!??!

In the moment of surprise, Idia uses technomancy to control Silver’s sword to hit Malleus’s horns.

Malleus post-OB flashback!

Ahhhh, so it begins with the senators blessing him with mighty powers. Then we see some memories of him growing up.

Malleus has a maid doing his hair but he gets hurt by the teeth of the comb or something?? His anger strikes the maid with lightning and he apologizes, but another servant (or was it a senator, I forgot) tells him don't apologize, it was the maid's fault. Maid is escorted out.

Next is Lilia coming to visit Malleus; Malleus is so happy and laughs really loud. This shatters nearby windows and lodges glass in Lilia's ears. Malleus panics, but Lilia reassures him it's fine.

Last memory is of him on his birthday; Malleus sees fireworks outside but isn't allowed to go out. His grandma is away on royal duties, so he has to eat a big dinner by himself. He's so sad he instantly freezes all the food and makes the servants super cold.

His black and white lament allows him to express that he was born with mighty powers, but what he really wanted all this time was to be able to express himself, to be with other people. "I just wanted to get angry. I wanted to laugh. I wanted to cry." One line I found particularly poignant was this: “At the table where everyone shares their joy and their sadness… There is no seat for me.”

And… he calls his blessing(s) a curse. This is a parallel to Idia, who realized that what he thought was his own curse was actually a blessing that allows him to be “powered up” by blot!!

Screen goes white and Lilia appears before Malleus. UMMMMMM I 'M SCARED, DON'T LIKE THIS FRAMING. IT'S VERY SIMILAR TO IDIA IN BOOK 6 TALKING WITH DEAD!ORTHO AFTER HIS OWN POST-OB FLASHBACK...

"I have to go soon, too."

"Lilia? Where are you going?"

"Don't worry about it. Like you said, 1000 years will pass in the blink of an eye."

Malleus finally wakes up from his OB. Idia stops the Ferrymen from advancing to attacking Malleus with their oars (the same ones they used to neutralize the other OB boys in book 6).

Malleus crying sprite, but at what cost… (Surprisingly is able to cry without summoning a storm??)

Malleus, Silver, and Sebek cry (Idia pulls us away to give them alone time 💦 guess he is socially aware enough to understand this.) Malleus tries to use his magic to revive Lilia.

There’s glowing from Malleus’s broken off horn and Silver’s ring???? Magic comes from a strong wish, so he and Malleus wish for Lilia to return. Malleus states “I love you” to Lilia and that’s what does it.

We skip to a few days later. Mobs are chatting about the extent of Malleus’s magic; Maleficia, Ambrose, and Crowley did a press conference appearance about the catastrophe.

Ace mentions there is now a Fairy Dream Life Association made up of Malleus fans who sdjlbblsaiadbsi actually preferred the dream worlds to their realities???? (IT GIVES ME KINDA CULT VIBES) We learn that it will take Malleus's horns 100-200 years to grow back and he cannot use his UM or other disaster-level magic during this time.

Dorm leader meeting!!

Idia lets everyone know that S.T.Y.X. created a new classification a few days ago specifically for Malleus. He is now being considered the same as a natural disaster, and they've developed a safety protocol + policy for what to do in the case of Malleus again. Basically, he should be treated LIKE a natural disaster (earthquake, hurricane, tornado, etc.). In other words, don't engage or try to fight, just hunker down and wait it out. This label cannot be erased, appealed, etc.

Okay, WHAT 🤡 I know that we were desperate to stop the spread of Malleus's magic + aiming to limit the damage he does, but apparently there were NO deaths at all, NO damage (beyond NRC, I believe), and only SOME NRC students got injured. That's... all OTL REALLY???? ?? ? ??????? ??NOTHING ELSE??? ? ?? ???? ???? Sounds kinda like bullshit to me, but okay.

Silver and Sebek are currently hospitalized, but they're supposedly recovering well and should return to class soon. (Really???? In only a few days' time??? Magic must really speed up the recovery process.)

Damage to Diasomnia dorm was quickly fixed up with fae magic. Maleficia donated a bunch of rare Briar Valley literature and technology to NRC for free as an apology for the trouble Malleus caused.

aASDIUBADBOIAFFIA WOW apparently Lilia is reenrolling??? He somehow recovered some of his magic. Riddle explains it as being similar to medical cases in which a patient spontaneously recovers for no discernable reason.

IULADFBFIYOAAFAFID Crowley drops the bomb that Malleus is also returning to school, which freaks the other dorm leaders out. Idia reveals it's likely because Crowley wants funding from the International Magical Security Organization (IMSO), which has promised to give money to support whatever area houses Malleus during his rehabilitation period or something. asfihloadbyfasyafsi IMAGINE NOT WANTING MALLEUS SO BAD THE GOVT HAS TO GIVE MONETARY INCENTIVE TO HAVE HIM IN TYOUR VICINITY

Crowley excuses this by saying the teachers agree Malleus should return. After all, as along as you wish to learn, NRC will not turn away a student. He also says that this is important for promoting diversity and enhancing the understanding between humans and fae. adihbabilfaifasi SCROWLEY'S ALSO PLEASED BECASE HE;S BEEN GETITNG A LOT FO GOOD PUBLICITY, NRC IS EEING HAILED AS HEROES.

We cut a few weeks later to Ramshackle, where Yuu and Grim are writing down details about their dream with Mickey. This is the only mention of Mickey in the update; Yuu going home and what Mickey is up to is NOT addressed again. Yuu just says they wonder what he's been up to/they want to see him again.

Sebek and Silver pop in for a visit!! Silver's hair is silver again. Apparently he asked Lilia to bless him a second time. Sebek makes a joke that it would be weird if his name was Silver but his hair was gold; then shouldn't his name be Gold?

Other first years arrive!!

Mmmmm... We get some lore about Sage's Island??? There was a powerful master mage that lived here 2000 years ago. But this mage had an apprentice that had trouble controlling his own magic and brought about a great disaster because of it. Instead of banishing this apprentice, the master mage scolded his student and did his best to teach him everything he could. That is why the schools on Sage's Island try to follow this philosophy of welcoming those that want to learn.

First years speculate that there must have been other incidents in the past where powerful mages got out of hand. They must have been forgiven too, right...? Like the sorcerer's apprentice was.

WAIT A DAMN MINUTE

Silver and Sebek claim it took them 1 week to heal from their injuries. Their magic healthcare must be cracked because that recovery time is INSANE.

Suddenly?????? Invites pop up???? It's from Malleus! He's inviting his peers to a party on May 15th (Silver's birthday), to be held at Castle Wildrose (which has been reclaimed and made into an official neutral zone belonging to no country). A carriage will come and pick them up.

The carriage is pulled by a talking direbeast???? FHABFAIBA HE REFERS TO YOU, GRIM, ACE, AND DEUCE WITH -SAMA!!???!

We arrive at the venue at last, and...

WHOA, UM... MALLEUS NEW FIT??????? 😭 King look?????? Emo lookin' ass/j He looks so much like his mother here, but they don't really explain why he's wearing this??? (Up until this point, I believe he was being studied, tested, and monitored in S.T.Y.X. facilities.)

This looks SO weird, I'm not used to seeing his pale ass chest out...

Malleus asks Silver and Sebek to step forth. OFMMAFOJ;IAFLIUAFIEAF OMG ALH HERVURQ3TVOFEVYFSOIfsihadgouvaegipaf hE'S OFFICIALLLY KNIGHTING THEM??? ?? ? ??? ?

Sebek is henceforth known as the Knight of Lightning. Silver will be the Knight of Dreams.

Silver interrupts and asks if he can donate his armor to NRC and S.T.Y.X., as he feels he couldn't have saved the day without their efforts. This way, they will also have something to use in emergencies. For Silver, he says the title alone is enough.

Malleus agrees and splits up the Dawn Knght armor. He asks Silver what does he want instead?

They confirm that Silver is now 18 years old. So that means the official ages stated on Twst profiles are the ages they are at the start of the school year??? And they "aged up" as the main story went on?

Context for Dawn Knight Silver's SSR! Malleus and Lilia playfully change the color of Silver's cape between blue and pink. They look like they're having a lot of fun with it!!

Malleus speaks tenderly to the memory of his mother, even though she cannot respond and is just a phantom of the past. Silver does the same to his parents, thanking them for loving him, protecting him, and "not taking Lilia away." I'm SO glad that we got confirmation that Silver has no ill will toward his blood family, he just doesn't have it in him to hate.

OKAY, that was a whirlwind of an update 😭 As much as I screamed this entire post, it was mainly from shock and not because I necessarily enjoyed everything presented. I feel like Twst got TOO ambitious and wasn't able to deliver on the follow-through because they set up so much. It definitely feels like there's tons of room to expand because there's still unanswered questions about Yuu going home, Mickey Mouse, Crowley's intentions, Grim's OB (we didn't see him eat a blot stone this update, shockingly), and the upcoming interscholastic magift/spelldrive tournament. What we got this update, considering the length of the book as a whole... It honestly felt TOO short. I know, I know, I've been complaining about the length of book 7--but the problem is that the resolution for all this build-up felt rushed, so it doesn't feel genuinely resolved. I'm sure they'll go more into the fallout and consequences next main story update (again, lots of stuff left to explore), but it's going to hurt knowing this is what we're digesting until then.

Some parts of this update I liked a LOT. Lilia's death, Silver finally taking on the Vanrouge surname, SEBEK SOBBING, and Idia being a badass on a magical wheel!! It was also nice seeing the staff members ADULTING for once (especially Crowley, WOW) and helping out. Same thing as previous update, I loved that each student gets a little time to shine by evacuating students or holding off Malleus.

Other parts... I did not like at ALL. I knew from the start that they weren't going to commit to TRULY killing anyone (otherwise Twst would lose a very marketable character), but it really sucked that Lilia dropped out + died for all of 5 seconds before magically being reenrolled and revived with the Power of Love. Very Disney-esque, but it still sat wrong with me. The party at the end was nice, but it confirmed all the memes about forgiving Malleus with a dance party.

My big issue with this update was how... AFRAID the narrative seemed to be to hold Malleus accountable and to have him make up for what he did. For example, they kept stressing how the damage he did was 'contained', how no one died, how only some NRC students were injured, how the buildings he damaged got patched up easily with magic, etc. What was especially offensive, however, was when they mentioned the history of Sage's Island and how there were other mages who caused disasters like Malleus did; those mages were scolded + forgiven and not exiled, so they should offer the same to him. Okay. But that... that feels like you're trying to say "It's okay that Malleus did this, because OTHER people also did this!" It sounds like you're diverting attention away from Malleus's actions by pointing out that other people did similar things. We're not talking about those other people though. We're talking about MALLEUS DRACONIA, who is responsible for the CURRENT crisis. Don't try to distract us by talking about other people 💦💦

And really, what did Malleus DO to fix things???? I get that he won't be able to use his UM for a long ass time, but what about his relations with the world at large? His grandma is getting on TV to say sorry but why isn't Malleus also doing that??? Why is he throwing a party and ONLY apologizing to NRC when he arguably endangered many more people???? Should he not also be saying sorry to S.T.Y.X., his country, and all other countries????? OTL Like, I don't think he should be thrown in jail or physically harmed as "further" punishment, but I want to know what steps he intends to take to correct what he has done. An apology to everyone is the very least Malleus can do.

I'm also leaving this update confused about how tf Lilia's UM works??? Because previously we knew he could see the memories associated with objects, right??? What object is he calling the memories from, the whole CASTLE???? Is this only possible because Malleus held his hand and boosted his magic or something??? Okay... but then why are both the fae and the humans of the past both there happily (I assume happily because those memories were able to dance with their children without issue)??? Aren't those two separate memories from two different points in time??? Because I cannot imagine a reality in which both parties were in the SAME space, at the SAME time, and NOT at each others' throats. It feels like Twst breaking its own logic and lore just because it would be cute to have this moment between parents and children. And how come we saw Silver's mom Leah but not Malleus's dad Raverne???? Surely Raverne must have bene in Castle Wildrose before, considering that's where his WIFE resides??? And during the rhythmic/twistune I also saw a Silver Owl and a Briar Land soldier dancing together… even though they wouldn’t???? So many questions...

I don't know. I just have so many mixed thoughts on this ending. I always knew in my gut that I would never be completely satisfied with it, because there are limitations with the media involved, expected tropes, an unnecessarily high amount of hype riding on this, etc. Man. What we got in the end was... okay? Okay, but still lacking in certain areas. I just hope a future main story update fills in those gaps.

I guess I don't have anything else to say but... This truly was our Twisted Wonderland 💀

anyways. i haven't written for azul in a minute but that song sometimes reminds me of him. his relationships are highly transactional, including with the twins where he acknowledges they would betray him if he stopped amusing them. he's always super busy, he's constantly on guard, and he does not believe in unconditional kindness since he automatically puts a price on everything. overall i think a relationship with azul would be a) exhausting, b) heartbreaking at times and c) unstable.

azul is suspicious of unconditional goodwill, and assumes everything has a price, thus he hates the mere thought of being indebted to someone. azul is an opportunist, hence why you'll all be stranded on a fucking island and bro is like "i'll help for the right price" bitch move btw. he's always looking for weaknesses. he tends to keep a cool head, but can be surprised or taken off guard. despite this, he's always quick to get right back in control of the situation.

azul's self-hatred is sooo bad he sends yuu on a wild goose chase for some picture of him from middle school because he desperately wants to be as far away from his younger self as popular. he internalized so much of what his bullies said that i doubt there is enough words of affirmation for him to truly believe the affectionate whispers of a partner, without automatically assuming they are telling sweet lies or want something from him.

azul is also a control freak. his unique magic shows enough that he wants to have control over his peers and in many ways that can be his attempt at retaking the autonomy he lost while being bullied, and i think it is safe to assume he would want the same in his relationship. he's rational enough, so im sure it wouldn't seem like a problem at first, he's just a little specific about things, but it would spiral eventually and cause some arguments. him, already knowing your weaknesses during these moments would suddenly slip as he tries to regain control and before you know it, you're making him sleep on the couch.

that is not to say i think a relationship with azul would be totally miserable. he's charming and he's talented. he probably knows well how to romance someone and leona states that he is very talkative, so at least you guys would be chatting it up, but these things are quite surface level to his character and relationships have the tendency to reveal other things, like his transactional mindset and his controlling tendencies.

i think you can get to a healthy relationship with azul but it would take a lot, and i mean A LOT of time, arguments, fixing things, apologies, and so on. he saw how quickly jade and floyd switched on him pre-overblot and that just sent him over the edge. it would probably mean a lot and catch him off guard if you stay post-argument and call him out once the dust settles and you're in better spirits.

Trolls - Burning Branches au - Part 3 Aftermath

Okay so if anyone has not read the other posts on this AU, I highly suggest you do. Believe me this will be much more fun with context. The previous posts are by the same title, minus the "Part 3". I will also be tagging all of them with the title after posting this.

Lets get into it...

When we last left of the Family Harmony was complete and the V-Twins were being carted off to jail. Char and Poppy kissed and wondered if they could finally get married now.

Then Floyd collapsed. The troll literally had the life drained out of him for two months, he is not walking away from that with just a new hair style. This sends the happy moment into one of panic. Floyd does not wake up when prompted, and not even when the other moved him on to Rhonda. It's clear he needs a doctor, but none on Mount Rageonus know troll physiology, so they need to leave as soon as possible.

But where will they go? Anywhere is still few days drive, and there is barely any supplies on Rhonda. No food. There was water but not enough for everyone. And most importantly no medicine beyond a very old, very basic first-aid kit John had for gotten about. Barb and Bruce stay behind to make sure Floyd doesn't die (and make sure Tiny takes a nap). Floyd has a seizure and Barb steps in taking control of the situation with Bruce freezes. Bruce asks her how she knew to tend to someone who's sick, and Barb explains that Char used to have them as a kid and she was usually the one who nursed Char through his head aches, and when he got sick from the volcanic fumes. This leads to bonding between the two of them, and Bruce starts to think of Barb as his little sister too.

When the others get back, John and Clay kind of freak out about the seizure when told. Trips home can wait they need a doctor. Rock territory is closeted and the doctor that treated Char originally is still around and on call. Still few days drive, but it's the best guess they got.

When Floyd finally wakes up he's a mess. Exhausted, nauseous, with a killer head ache. It's also in the middle of the night, and everyone is still asleep. Well, everyone except Poppy and Char. They were still up due to some shared insomia, and discussing their re-do wedding plans. Floyd's perception of things are still hazy, so he's calling Char by Branch and not noticing the latter's discomfort over the name. Still Char helps alleviates Floyd migraine so he can go back to sleep. Floyd asks how Char would know that it would work, Char says it works for me. Floyd would continue to ponder that, until he passes back out.

When they get back into Rock Kingdom territory, Floyd is taken into the hospital rather quickly, and is put on supportive devices, to combat server malnutrition, dehydration, and oxygen just incase. Brain scans, reveal scaring on his brain from several concussions that went untreated. The source of his seizures, and possibly other symptoms that have yet to show themselves. Once he's conscious he reports of, numbness, pain and tingling in his legs and is looking at possible nerve damage.

During this time, with the help of Barb, Bruce manages to get a letter out to his family explaining what was going on and it would be little longer until he was home. Char and Barb re-unite with their Dad and Riff. And the rest are just trying to make sense of everything.

Floyd has, at least one of his brothers with him at all times. When he's awake they talk and bond, and when he's asleep they comfort his nightmares. He notices that Char isn't there most of the time (he's out making princely announcements explaining the situation and dealing with some back-lash about "returning to his own kind" from some of the less accepting citizens), and is worried that his Brother is mad at him for not coming back. He practically breaks down upon hearing about Char amnesia, and asks to see him.

Char comes, but is very awkward when he first arrives. Floyd takes in all the difference, and mentions the green vest. Char says he can't remember being without it, Floyd says he gave it to him, before beginning to apologize for leaving him. Char shuts it down, telling Floyd his injury isn't his fault, maybe a few days ago he'd have been mad, but he doesn't regret how his life turned out. He hugs Floyd and wipes his tears. Floyd tells Char that comforting was his job, Char says no matter who's older siblings comfort each other. Floyd wants to know how Char's life turned out. Char, eagerly tells him about Barb and Thrash, how he grew up as a prince, and his betrothal to Poppy. Floyd is shocked his brother grew up as a prince, but is happy his brother grew up in a good home, and wanted to meet Poppy, Thrash and Barb as soon as possible.

Eventually, Floyd is released. He's on crutches, with braces on his legs and has physical therapy routine he needs to follow to walk again. They stay at Char and Barb cavern (their royalty they have the room, and Thrash is loving the company, he's convinced their all his kids and no one corrects him) during this time and for a few days after the release, but tension with the public is spiking and they can't stay for long. Barb stays behind to control the crowds and the others go to Pop village. Viva would re-unite with Peppy, and begin preparations to move the Put Put trolls to the village, with an escort of Rock guards off course.

The saga would end, with Poppy and Char finally getting married and Char coronated as king of pop...with an epilogue of years alter when they had twins trollings, named Rosie and Ash (named after Grandma and Thrash).

Not only have I been rolling parental ideas around my brain for Brozone, but also their thought processes on not going back to the tree. Makin' up lore based on the very few details we get, as one does lmao

Thoughts like Bruce actually trying to go back to the tree from Vacay Island, possibly to invite his bros to his wedding, but realizing he has no idea where he is in relation to the Troll Tree. Struggling to chose between risking his relationship with Brandy to hunt down his brothers, or wait for them to come find him and build a new life. Eventually he tries to send out post cards, and obviously John is the only one to receive his. But it's also very late

Clay going to leave the Tree like his brothers, but stressing out and getting too freaked out just outside of Bergen Town to go much farther. And then he hears the commotion of Trollstice and the Great Escape, rushing back to try and find Grandma and Branch. But he runs into Viva as she's struggling to protect the Trolls that didn't make it through the tunnels, and he can't NOT help. By the time they end up at the golf course, it's too risky to try and go back. He just has to hope everyone made it ok.

Floyd constantly repeating in his head, just a little longer. Just a few more cities, a few more shows. Quite literally running away from the guilt and pressure. He got to taste freedom, and it was addicting. But when he finally mustered up the courage to go back home, to keep his promise no matter what, he found what JD did. Broken pods, ruined roots, and silence. He eventually managed to find his way back to cities he's performed in, but the journey there is a blur. He has scars from run-ins with who-knows-what, and he's grey. Over the years he writes music to cope work his grief, makes friends, and eventually gains a bit of color until he looks like he does when the brothers reunite.

John Dory, of course, escaped Bergen Town to go hike the Neverglades. When you're alone, it's even easier to lose track of time. Between scavenging for food, fighting off critters, and trying to keep track of his location, JD let time slip away. Whether he met Rhonda before or after he made it back to the Tree, he ended up believing his family were all gone and all he had was Rhonda. After a while he finally recieved the postcard from Bruce, and even without it signed he knew who it was from. He'd listened to Bruce rant about wanting to live on a beach for years. JD let himself hope that at least some of his brothers had lived, but he kept from going to find them because he felt like he didn't deserve it. And why would they want him around?

Sorry for the late reply! Here are some more Jade/Idia and Floyd/Idia hcs; some neutral ones, some spicy ones, some a bit fucked up ones. I won’t be writing anything about Azul this time because posted a new bunch of Azul/Idia hcs not so long ago, but he is mentioned a couple of times!

Jade makes snacks for Idia sometimes (sometimes sour, sometimes sweet, sometimes salty) and asks Azul to bring them to him whenever he goes to a board game club meeting, which always makes Azul super annoyed because he isn’t Jade’s errand boy + Idia doesn’t want to eat anything anyway. But even though Idia always says that eating stuff that Jade has made sounds like a dangerous game, he got used to munching on whatever Azul brings him. Making sure that Idia-san always remembers him + inconveniencing Azul at the same time? Sounds perfect to Jade <3

If Idia visits the Lounge (which doesn’t happen very often, it’s a pretty rare occasion, to be honest), he always tries to find the tiniest, least noticeable place to sit, but he always gets all the attention, because Floyd sees him, drops whatever he’s been doing and jumps on Idia’s couch to lean on him, chat with him, tease him and even squeeze him a little bit, not caring at all that Azul will absolutely yell at him for that. And even though it’s always a super stressful thing to Idia and he would prefer Floyd not to jump him like that, whenever he visits, his heart starts pounding very loudly, because his body is aware that Floyd will notice him and react very soon. It’s 50% him being scared and 50% of weird anticipation that makes him feel a bit ticklish down there.

Despite the fact that it’s easier to catch Floyd in his eel form, the first twin that Idia saw in his eel form was actually Jade. It was his first time seeing a merman in general, and since it was a dark pool and Idia didn’t realise what he was looking at at first, he got kind of freaked out. But also mesmerised at the same time. Idia ran away the moment Jade noticed him and look at him with his scary glowing yellow eye + avoided him after that point, but he still couldn’t escape the visual of Jade’s huge slippery heavy-looking tail that was constantly on his mind.

But the first Leech to actually touch Idia in his eel form was Floyd. That wasn’t a planned encounter either; Idia pretty much just fell into the pool in the most ecchi anime convenient way possible. But Floyd caught him, grabbed him with his huge hands, left a couple of scratches with his fins and claws, and slid Idia’s entire body on his own tail. Idia ended up not only wet, but covered in the eel slime, cold and weirdly aroused. He just got rid of weird eel-related dreams that Jade caused..!

Compared to Floyd, who touches, kisses and bites in a very overwhelming manner, Jade gives Idia some moments to “breathe” during sex, but this only makes things worse somehow. Because Idia’s brain just shuts off completely when he is with Floyd, but Jade makes sure that Idia is constantly aware of how exactly he is getting fucked, what sounds he makes, how his body reacts and how Jade’s dick creates a bulge inside his stomach. Jade always stops just in time for Idia to catch himself yelping pathetically and twitching, moments away from orgasm. And Jade always smiles like a criminal that is about to betray and shoot him when it happens…

I would love researching into random peoples profiles and stuff with Rook. Like I can match his freak. But I don't this I'm positive enough to be with him realistically. I'm really pessimistic and anti-social(plus such bad social anxiety). Someone loving literally everything makes them loving me feel less special.

I love nerds like Idia. Especially about tech, like I'm not smart in that way but yap to me about it, that's hot. I'm really nerdy in other ways though, like I love gaming. I get overstimulated around kids though so as much as I like Ortho, I know I would get tired of not having constant alone time with Idia.

I feel like Malleus would be most compatible with me of everyone. Plus he's older in age which I'm really attracted too. in 2024, U Penn analyzed 100 non-federal acute care hospitals - essentially traditional hospitals with emergency departments - and the findings were that 96 percent of their websites transmitted user data to third parties. ~30 percent didn't even have a privacy policy.

Blackstone (the country's largest private equity firm) was seeking out people's DNA back in 2020 and went as far as to just straight up buy Ancestry in order to gain access to it. they didn't even go under. they were just... bought by a bigger company.

again, is this terrible? yes and you shouldn't send your fucking DNA to some random company. but it's also not unprecedented. in a country where we don't even blink when another school shooting happens, we get so freaked out by our "privacy" being violated when you genuinely, truly have zero privacy left from corporations or the government. you should be angry that people's personal information was ever allowed to be a commodity that is bought and sold by any corporation anywhere.

summary: Riddle is overworking himself post-overblot, so you and Floyd trick him into having a day off. 

a/n: look i’m a florid(a) stan, i admit, but i feel like riddle+floyd+yuu is an untapped market ripe with potential. i was gonna do some yandere stuff but it ended up being fluff with a little whump because brain rot

Between the two of them, most onlookers would assume that Floyd is the more problematic boyfriend. After all, the eel merman is the very definition of intimidating: both his tall lanky frame and ominous words. But you tend to disagree.

Floyd is unpredictable in his mood switches, bouncing back and forth between extremes, but his emotions remain readable, at least to those who know him well. Even when he’s not as vocal about a particular dilemma, it’s never hard to guess what may be bugging him.

Riddle, on the other hand, is about as comprehensible as his namesake, decorated in flowery language and polite gestures but ultimately puzzling. His anger is easy enough to understand, of course, his face flushing bright red as he calls out his signature spell, but even that isn’t quite so simple. Sometimes you’ll poke fun at one of the Queen’s rules or Floyd will tease him about his height, and his face will switch to the same shade of red as he insists the two of you cease. In such moments genuine anger and embarrassment becomes indistinguishable from a playful flirtation between partners. It’s even worse when he doesn’t speak at all. He overworks himself frequently and hides it behind empty smiles. You understand why, you’ve seen how desperate he is after his overblot to show that he isn’t a burden. 

Floyd figured it out pretty quickly as well. Despite his reputation as the more lackadaisical of the twins, he is just as perceptive as his brother when it comes to observing other people (though undoubtedly more honest in his approach).

So when Floyd suggested a batshit- potentially illegal- plan to cheer up your boyfriend, you quickly agreed, mostly out of fear that Floyd might try it on his own either way.

The first part was the simplest; for all his quirks, Floyd is a rather talented chef, as expected as a member of the Mostro Lounge staff. Thus, it was easy for him to cook up a wonderful tart for Riddle- with a few of Jade’s uniquely bred mushrooms ground inside, more than enough to knock the small boy out like a light. 

No longer concerned about the issue of Riddle’s tendency to wake up at the mere dropping of a pin, the two of you could, a tad clumsily, break into Riddle’s room and, well…kidnap him.

Although Floyd shrugged off most of your concerns, on the most basic level, that’s what his plan was. Of course, what neither of you had fully prepared for was the fact that Heartslaybul’s other dorm members had completely different sleep schedules.

As the two of you carried Riddle’s unconscious body out of the room, an orange-haired boy cleared his throat down the hall.

“Uh, hey guys,” Cater blinked. “Do I even want to know what’s going on?”

“We’ll have him back by tomorrow afternoon,” you promised, not answering his question.

“Goldfishie has been working so hard lately,” Floyd explained. “So Shrimpy and I decided to take him out on a date and ditch school~”

“Floyd-”

“What? You’re not gonna tell anyone, right?” Floyd grinned menacingly towards Cater, who merely laughed.

“Dw dw, it’s all chill. I won’t snitch,” Cater laughed. “Just make sure to send some pics for me to show Trey, ‘cause otherwise he’ll lowkey freak.”

“No problem,” you sighed, relieved. After a quick goodbye to the Heartslabyul junior, the next step of your plan was underway. Floyd had scored three tickets to a carnival on the mainland, but to get there you’d have to use the mirror at night without accidentally running into any of the staff or hall monitors. Luckily, you had the perfect lookout: Grim.

The small demon was hesitant to help the two of you with your ridiculous idea, but a few minutes of pleading had caused him to relent. Granted, it also cost you an ungodly amount of premium tuna. Grim was small enough to slip into the Hall of Mirrors undetected before the school had closed up for the day, allowing you easy entry at the dead of night. From there, it was just a matter of teleportation, plus some walking for the rest of the way.

By the time you had almost arrived at your destination, both the sun and the poor boy you’d dragged along with you were beginning to rise. Riddle blinked his gray eyes slowly as he processed his surroundings. He was being carried, bridal style, by Floyd as you walked alongside him, chatting eagerly.

“...Y/N? Floyd?” he mumbled, rubbing his eyes.

“Goldfishie! You’re awake!” Floyd cheered, nuzzling against his face. Riddle quickly pushed him away, blushing brightly. 

“What’s going on?” he asked suspiciously. “Is this another dream?”

“Aww…did you hear that Floyd? He’s been dreaming of us,” you teased. 

“T-that’s not what I meant! I demand to know what’s going on at once!” Riddle squeaked, squirming out of Floyd’s arms and plopping unceremoniously onto the ground. You frowned, leaning down to help him up. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it like that,” you promised, taking his hands in yours. “It’s just…I know you don’t like to talk about it, because you don’t want us to worry or anything but-”

“You need a break,” Floyd finished seriously. “Goldfishie, you’re so smart and you work so hard, but everyone needs a day off every once in a while.”

Riddle stood in silence, his brow furrowed and lips pressed tight. You could see in his stormy eyes that he was deliberating. Or more likely, he was trying his best not to get angry.

“I’m flattered,” he finally said, hiding his face from your view. “But I am the Heartslabyul housewarden. I can’t just ditch school! The others need me. I need to return to school at once.”

“Riddle,” you replied firmly, cupping his face in your hands in order to meet his eyes. “Listen to me. Every housewarden needs a break. Hell, that’s how Kalim and Leona spend the majority of their time!”

“Even Azul takes time for himself every once in a while,” Floyd chimed in. “Plus, too much stress might make you overblot again.”

Riddle sighed and shook his head softly, “I guess it..couldn’t hurt to take a break…just for today though! And next time, I insist you consult me beforehand!”

Floyd laughed and squeezed the both of you tightly. “Just wait until you see what Shrimpy and I cooked up ehehe~”

“A carnival!” you exclaimed, unable to curb your excitement for another moment. 

“A carnival?” Riddle repeated. “I’ve never been to one before, are you sure I’ll be proper;y prepared? Do they have any special rules of conduct or-”

“Don’t worry darling,” you reassured, kissing him gently on the forehead. “It’ll be easy. Of course, if it gets too much just let us know and we’ll take a break.”

“I’m gonna win every stuffed animal!” Floyd added. “And of course we’ll have to ride ALL the roller coasters! They don’t have many of those under the sea.”

“Well, if I don’t have much of a choice in the matter anyways, would it be alright if we got some cotton candy?” Riddle fumbled, his face red. 

“Of course,” you laughed earnestly, holding his hand with one hand and Floyd’s with another. “Let’s go!”
