The truth about Rock, Paper, Scissors
Tumblr media
It all started as a joke when my friend called 'A' challenged me to rock, paper, scissors. Who knows, I'm actually a pro at it. We played for six days straight, once every day, and I never lost.
On the first day, he threw a rock, then scissors, and last he threw a rock again. Out of 3, I beat him right and square.
On the second day, I told him I read on Google that most men pick rock as their first. Then he paused for a moment, and I threw scissors. He chose paper as his first, then paper again, and last he threw a rock.
On the third day, I challenged again, I threw paper as usual, and he lost with his rock. But the second time, he chose a paper that beat my rock. I chose scissors and he beat me again with his rock. With 2 out 3 on his side, he became excited and started to get sloppy. He then threw another rock and I beat him with my paper. It was a tie but fast because I beat him again with my paper as he threw another rock for his last pick.
On the fourth day, we both thought about how lucky I was and how unlucky he was after I beat him again. Then I challenged our other friend named 'B' and I won. She threw scissors and paper, and she beat me on the third throw as her scissors beat my paper, but at last resort, I beat her with a rock as she threw another scissors.
The next day, I challenged another friend named 'C' and lost. He saw that and attempted to challenge me. He threw paper, scissors, and rock, and guess what? I beat him again.
On the sixth day, I won again. He came back using his first strategy, rock, scissors, and rock. Even though he and I didn't take it seriously as we have been friends for over 8 years, he still wondered why I beat him all the time. Like literally only him, I guess it was because we had known each other for a long time that I could guess the next step he made through his eyes.

"Free" Meal
@felixmp
Eloise had truly accidentally order a massive amount of food. Often, her accentuated claws got in the way of her typing, and it seemed that combined with her lack of attention had caused such an unnecessary problem. However, her social media post had prompted a solution rather quickly. While she knew it was not the safest measure, she was not too concerned either. She had enough of an advantage from her feline powers to get her to safety if this Felix guy turned out to be a real weirdo.
Even further, she reasoned he might could be of some use. Paintings leaned against her wall still needing to be hung, and she was far too lazy to attempt it herself. Lost in thought, the knock at her door finally pulled her attention. She popped up, and stepping over Marie who sprawled leisurely on her back, she hurried over to the door. While she had a glimpse of the male from his profile picture, she was curious to see who truly was on the other side of the door.
Opening it, the demigoddess peer up at the male. She had took no efforts to hide her "unnatural" feline appearance, from the fluffy ears on top of her head to the tail that gently swayed behind her. She was on a magical island after all. "Are you Felix?" She ask, pulling it further open so that he could step in. He did look like the man on the profile picture. "You were fast."

No questions will be asked about religion, socioeconomic status, need, or otherwise. It is clear that all are welcome here.
The meal provided on Sunday, October 22, 2024 consisted of mashed potatoes, beef roast and gravy, corn, bread roll and butter, and salad. After going through the food line, a table set up to the side was laden with various fruit choices such as bananas, apples, and oranges. Coffee, lemonade, water, milk and condiments were also available. The servers asked if participants would like dessert of apple crisp and ice cream after they had their meal, which they then brought out to the participants at the tables. The tables were set up cafeteria style, long tables in rows. The general atmosphere of the Community Lunch was friendly, open, and welcoming. This was perpetuated by both the volunteers and the participants. The participants greeted each other with smiles and conversation, and also engaged newcomers with the same. It is clear that some people taking part in the free meal know each other, but there are plenty of new people that were also welcomed.
