I see you've mentioned what brushes you use before, but which did you use for the HTTYD doodles? Did you change any of the settings/what was the size? Do you draw with a light or heavy hand? Sorry I know this is very specific, but your drawings came out looking SO good in general-- but the lineart especially has just a really good stroke and texture to it, and I know having the brushes without knowing how to use them won't necessarily help lmao

(Sorry my software is in french) These are the brushes I used for those doodles! I drew them on Clip studio paint. For the first one I didn't modify the settings (I usually never modify them) but for the second one I changed the shape of the brush for a round one^

I never use a specific size for my brushes and canvas I just go with whatever looks right. When I draw with that brush I try to not press too much at the end because the brush stroke might come out too round at the end

Also I don't turn on the anti-aliasing feature because I prefer when it looks more pixelated

ohuhu markers are really really good; ive had a set for years and they’re really nice. they really give copic markers a run for their money and I’d say they’re equally good tbh. I recommend getting the ones with the brush tip and chisel tip and not the one with the bullet and chisel tip bc the brush tips are really nice for coloring 👍

That seems to be the main consensus, which I figured was the case but it’s nice having some people back it up. I used to watch DrawingwithWaffles on YouTube and she said the same thing. Honestly, I’d like to invest in Ohuhu markers, especially since they’re WAAAYYYY cheaper than Copic markers

I think journaling is good.

Even if I basically only do it for my self insert diary, its really affirming to have this thing that is all mine and I can express myself with. And even if its not focused on my daily feelings, it still helps me process them and my feelings come through in my entries anyway!!

I'd highly recommend starting a diary to write down your f/o thoughts in!! (If you're a journaling person, ofc!)
