Eine einzige Katastrophe

Einst konnte man hier schnell und sicher die Straßenführung am Messegelände unterqueren. Teil der Bebauung ist mit dem ehemaligen Kongresszentrum ICC verbunden gewesen. Die denkmalgeschützte Unterführung macht einen traurigen Eindruck.Fahrstühle, die nicht mehr fahren, Rolltreppen die stillstehen. Verdreckte Ecken und gesperrte Ausgänge. Es riecht nach Urin. Obdachlose schlagen hier immer wieder ihr Lager auf. Einige Leuchtstoffröhren der Lampen im 70iger Jahre Stil flackern ihrem letzten Atemzug entgegen oder sind teilweise bereits gestorben.Frauen machen hier schon lange einen großen Bogen und auch für Berlintouristen ist es eine Zumutung. Kein schönes Aushängeschild für Berlin. "Armselig und unsexy" scheint hier jeder Winkel zu sein. Einst ein Vorzeigeort für Berlin, nun eher ein Durchgangsort, um hier nicht verweilen zu müssen. Dabei steht die Unterführung doch unter Denkmalschutz und ist es wert geschützt zu werden, aber offensichtlich zieht man eher die einfachen Lösung vor und lässt diesen Ort in einen tiefen Dornröschenschlaf verfallen. Ob die Unterführung jemals reaktiviert wird steht vorerst in den Sternen. Bis es aber dazu kommt regeln nun die fleißigen Ampelmännchen den Fußgängerverkehr und das ganz ohne Gewerkschaftspause.

At Uncle's Fairy Tale in the Funkturm Garden

1 Little Helmut listens, laughing and amazed, to the story of the brave little tailor...

2 who had killed seven flies, embroidered a belt with the inscription "Seven at One Blow" as a souvenir, and then went out into the world to perform heroic deeds.

3 Little sister Hilde listens with slight concern to all the brave little tailor's plans. He was not stronger, but much more cunning than the great giants in the forest.

4 And who, in order to win a king's daughter, even dealt with two mighty giants at once, skilfully pitting them against each other. Hilde is full of admiration.

5 Helga, too, is completely under the spell of the beautiful Grimm fairy tale: Perhaps the king will not give the little tailor the princess after all? That would be ugly!

6 Ah, the little tailor is much cleverer and even defeats the unicorn and the wild boar, and in the end, he becomes king for everyone's entourage! Who would have thought that!

7 And finally, a surprise: Hilde and Helmut are suddenly supposed to say something into the microphone, just a few kind words.

8 Dad and Mum, who are currently away, would like to hear on the loudspeaker how their children are doing and how they liked the fairy tale.

Mit dem Bus 218 zum Grunewald

In Berlin gibt es so einige Orte, die man besucht haben muss. Ich fahre heute mit dem historischen Bus der Linie 218 raus ins Grüne. Zum Grunewaldturm in den Grunewald, Berlins grüne Lunge. Vom S-Bahnhof Messe Nord am Funkturm geht es über die Heerstraße und Schildhorn zum Grunewaldturm.
