HEADS UP ARTISTS
The Web Development website Wix decided to join Adobe in the dark side & change their Terms and conditions to "grant [them] a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, and worldwide license" to use your portfolio for AI.
This does not only affect artists using this website to make their portfolios and demo reels, but online shop owners, commission pages, art galleries, game development websites and much more.
If you work in the film art or game industry and you have work under NDA or demo reels with your past works from existing film and games. EVEN IF IT'S HIDDEN, PRIVATED OR IN YOUR DRAFTS, they have all the right to steal your work and guess what? You're probably gonna get in trouble instead of wix for having them on your website.
I've used wix for 10 years but fuck them. It's time to jump ship to another website. Please make sure to remove ALL traces of your work from their site and spread the word.

The game's whole plot was written before I was forced to halt the production - it really would be a shame to chuck everything into the bin... Soplik deserves better than that ❄️

Dev Log 6/6/25
Let's start with Thursday. Thursday I spent about 4ish hours working on the Minesweeper AI with ChatGPT. The program creates a board, prints the board, and can change the information on the board (only randomly right now). The AI at the moment is entirely random and the rules of the game are yet to be put in however we are able to simulate the start and end of a game alongside the process of selecting cells.
Today, I worked on my portfolio website. It's still not done, but I made some serious headway today. Today's main goal was getting images displayed where originally I only explained the game. Now there are title screen images that link to the details of the game. Next time, I will add details about what I did on each game. I also plan to add two more projects that are currently not listed.
For a quick list of all games I have worked on
+ Sole Survivor - a zombie shooter/escape game where you must repair your escape vehicle before you can leave the map. The game was made using Unity and C# programming alongside Unity's built in library.
+ Julien Jumper - A vertical platforming game that is bare bones as can be. The game was made using only the DX11 API for graphics and Git for version control.
+ MegaDude - It's pretty obvious what this was based on, this game was a side scrolling megaman clone. As is with Unreal we had a difficult time building a 2D game in a 3D environment but we succeeded, even got wall jumping. This was a game made using UE5.2 and Unreal's C++ library. For version control we used Git which was a problem for a while, we didn't find the .gitignore until day 3.
+ Noble Roots - the only game that I worked that did not finish development. We wanted but all the team members moved on after school wrapped up. For this game we were making a sprite based farm/life sim.
Next week all of these projects should be available on the website but for today, it looks like this.

for the first time in my entire life someone actually respected my desires and how i choose to live ( and ofc its non other than my brother)
i got asked by my dad why dont i go to the gym so i can become slim fit and healthier? i get this alot it doesn't phase me so i said " i do not have time i work alot" he pressed on and said you do have time!!! your days off!!! and he proceeded to count all the days i stay at home (including the days i work from home and he wouldn't accept that work from home days are not vacation days) and i answered " 1- i AM busy and 2- i prefer to fill the few hours i have off with things i like like my hobbies and gaming and reading" my dad scoffed but my brother looked at me nodded and said "that's fair actually!" and then decided to engage me in a conversation about my hobbies (video games and art) which led to him suggesting that i take my time to develop my art so i eventually could work in the game industry with my portfolio.
that's it !! that's all i ever wanted from people all i ever asked to be respected this way... sigh

Concept art of Moros for the Carnivores mod, Phantasmagoria by Dawn, I was very happy to work with her again for another dinosaur design!

Moros, a small tyrannosaur theropod baring resemblance to the youth forms of massive apex predators in its area, leaving it to live a relatively unbothered scavenger lifestyle. The desigb is heavily based on the mod's Tyrannotitan theropod, which is the big game tyrannosaur for the modded experience.

Due to this resemblance, it follows Tyrannotitan as a sort of omen, as the name Moros is a reference to the god of impending doom. So though this small theropod doesn't actively hunt man, you best keep your eyes peeled for its much bigger cousin...

PT: Breeze é um jogo 2D de plataforma e walking simulator.
O jogo aborda a questão da independência emocional de uma forma leve, no qual o jogador terá de trilhar um percurso no qual a cada passo que dá, aproxima-se mais do objetivo final: a aceitação da sua própria companhia como algo suficiente passando pela fase do medo, tristeza e aceitação.
O jogo foi desenvolvido em um mês. Todos os créditos pertencem-me excepto a parte do áudio.
ENG: Breeze is a 2D platform and walking game.
The game portraits the concept of emotional independence in a light way, in which the player will follow a path in which with every step taken, they get closer to the ultimate goal: accepting their own company as something sufficient, going through stages of fear, sadness, and acceptance.
This game was developed in one month. All credits belong to me aside the audio.
