Project Shadow AU - Background

Who want's to read. Cause I've been writing. A lot.

the AU is mostly slight modifications to the game, extended scenes, and a lot of "how'd this be different if Shadow was a bit weirder" alongside some character background modifications (Rouge and Knuckles my beloveds) - I've been having a lot of fun revisiting my original ideas from over 10 years ago, adjusting and tweaking them since I'm a different person (more bold) now and some ideas weren't quite fully baked when I was writing this story at 18.

If you've been following the AU from the start, or you're new here, welcome! This story means more to me then almost any other, and I genuinely think SA2 might be my favourite game of all time.

This is mostly a primer for the setup plot of the game, Shadow's backstory for the AU and some other critical info about the rest of the cast that's different from the game and the setup for the different storylines. Next I'll probably be yapping about what happens post-game because I really want to brain how how Shadow The Hedgehog, Sonic Heroes, Sonic Battle and Sonic 06 fit into the AU.

The Beginning

~50 years ago Gerald Robotnik headed Project Shadow, onboard an advanced scientific research platform orbiting earth - The Space Colony ARK. 

He was approached by GUN and the project would not have existed without military funding - notably originating from the branch of GUN operating as the United Federation’s military and defense force. It is unknown if the true purpose of Project Shadow was ever disclosed to the other international branches of GUN, and if the United Nations would have ever allowed it’s conception in the first place. 

Project Shadow was always a military endeavor. Gerald accepted the contract with the hopes and intent to develop breakthrough technology around gene therapy and medicine - wishing to cure his grandaughter Maria of her terminal illness - NIDS. Seeing the opportunity, he accepted the double edged sword of a military funded project, vowing that no matter what he was asked, or pressured, to do, Project Shadow would always be for the betterment of humanity. 

While gene splicing and biological engineering was the heart of the project, utilising the power of Chaos Emerald Energy was it’s secondary factor. After years of rocky development the project finally had multiple major breakthroughs which culminated in two significant outcomes: The Prototype, and The Ultimate Lifeform. The UL was a true miracle of science; unlike it’s prototype, it required no life-support system to function, and was far less volatile in nature. As the project was made in the shadow of humanity, Shadow was the name affectionately given to the creature. It showcased a remarkable ability to harness the power of Chaos Emeralds, incredible resistance to common diseases and ailments, and outstanding stamina and resistance in physical testing. It did struggle to control itself, and as such new technology was developed to assist it directly (notably the inhibitor rings, allowing for more fine-tuned control over Chaos Energy, and the air-shoes which provided a smoother experience during locomotion). Notably, the creature was highly cooperative, and displayed a high level of emotional intelligence. It was curious, compassionate, and an avid learner, often questioning the teams assigned to test it, and in many cases assisting them with their studies.

Shadow always knew of the circumstance of his creation, yet had no issue with it. Beloved by all, he embraced the people behind Project Shadow as his family, and pride swelled within him knowing that he represented a new age of flourishing medicinal technology - for the betterment of humanity.

His true potential as a weapon was widely known amongst the staff aboard the ARK, but an understanding was held that he must never know, not out of fear of what he might do, but to protect him and his autonomy from those who would want to use him. 

Very quickly he took a liking to Maria, and they bonded as siblings. Being the only two children on the ARK, they became inseparable companions. Maria would recount stories of her childhood on Earth, and how she was so excited for Shadow to travel all over the world with her once she was better. The thing’s she’d show him, oh how beautiful the planet was. Oh how marvelous humanity was.

As time went on and the project progressed, GUN became more and more concerned with the reports coming out of the ARK. The UL was allowed to roam? It was treated like a pet? No, like a human family member to the Robotniks? It had full autonomy over its actions? It was a constant threat and risk to the enormous sum of money pumped into the research station - and worst of all Gerald’s notes were more and more focused on the pharmaceutical outcomes, not the potential of the living weapon.

Knowing full well that Gerald had strayed from the contract a few steps too far, a decision was made to take back the project and course correct its trajectory, by any means necessary. 

GUN soldiers raided the ARK with simple instructions. Secure Gerald, secure all documentation of the project, lock down the prototype, and contain the UL. Nothing else mattered. By any means necessary. 

When the approaching shuttle failed to respond to all attempts to hail, Gerald knew the end had come. He had always known he was working on borrowed time. He tried his best to warn all staff, and to attempt an escape, but GUN worked harder. Jamming communications, sabotaging and locking down chunks of the station to barricade staff in and out, there wasn’t much he could do to prevent the slaughter. Fish in a barrel. There was little need for a security force when your lab was floating around in outer space. He turned himself in to by time for Maria and Shadow to escape together via the emergency escape pod system, but they weren’t fast enough.

As Gerald was being arrested, Maria pushed Shadow into a pod, the hatch sealing shut right as GUN soldiers cut through the locked bulkhead door. She was immediately shot upon the soldiers gaining access, but they could not stop her from launching the pod, sending Shadow hurtling down to Earth, Maria’s dying words echoing in his mind as he cried out.

“Shadow, I beg of you, please do it for me… For a better future for all the people on that planet… Give them a chance to be happy… Let them live for their dreams. Shadow, I know you can help them, that’s the reason why you were brought into this world. Sayonara… Shadow the hedgehog…”

He promised her, in that moment, as the pod rattled and the outside burned as it hurtled towards the Earth, that he would help humanity, despite the atrocity they had committed this day, he would fight for a better future. He would create a better future. He promised her. 

Shortly after safely landing, the pod was seized by GUN operatives and he was transported to the secure facility on Prison Island - a high security facility where Gerald was imprisoned and forced to continue the project under strict supervision. Upon learning of Maria’s death, something broke deep inside his heart, and he was never the same. GUN were fixated on controlling Shadow, forcing Gerald to pivot the project with a new focus being on creating a complicit living weapon capable of following instructions autonomously, but with an unwavering loyalty to whoever it served. Stricken with Grief and resentment, Gerald continued his work - however he still continued to serve his own ideals and intent. He worked on Shadow, more intrusively than ever before, and manipulated his memories, implanting ideas and shaping him into something far more sinister than he had ever initially intended. He would turn Shadow into the weapon they had always wanted, but they would never control him. During a trial-run to check Gerald’s progress, Shadow ignored all instructions from GUN operatives and instead violently attacked a number of staff before being restrained. Security footage from the incident noted that at no point did Gerald do, or say anything, other than stand at the back of the room smiling slightly. 

Upon realising how far things had come and how dangerous, unpredictable, and uncontrollable Shadow was, he was put into cryostasis and locked in a secure containment chamber deep within the bowels of the island.

Gerald was executed shortly after, his final words recorded for posterity and as a reminder of the danger Project Shadow held to all of humanity, and the threat that Gerald had ultimately become.

Fifty years later, his grandson Ivo Robotnik, more commonly known as ‘Dr Eggman’, would re-discover the project in an encoded top-secret GUN document. Intrigued by the information held within about ‘the ultimate weapon’, he set out to the holding facility on Prison Island, breaking in and fighting through the security drones left to guard the well kept secret years after the project had been shuttered, and the island was left as a high security storage bunker for miscellaneous GUN property. 

What Eggman discovered was far beyond his wildest expectations, and this time he knew he could defeat that pesky blue rodent once and for all.

Rouge, Knuckles, Tails and Amy

Rouge doesn’t work with GUN, she works for GUN. She’s an agent, employed for a while, perhaps she is an ex-international-jewel-thief and was recruited for her particular talents, but no one but her superiors know. Picked up years ago after a job went wrong, she was scouted for her unique talents and offered an ultimatum - which she begrudgingly accepted. She misses the freedom of being ‘self employed’ but the GUN payroll has its benefits and she’s got a pretty good deal going on. Shen specialises in unique case missions, and as such has a lot of sway with the superiors of her unit - she gets almost anything she wants and needs so long as she gets the job done. She has a history with Knuckles, they go back having met along time ago, before she became an Agent. She loves her jewels, but is a bit more respectful of the Chaos Emeralds and works with Knuckles to ensure there’s minimal incidents like from the events of SA1 should they fall into the wrong hands. 

Knuckles hangs out on Angel Island and just vibes. He’s doing his thing, he works with Sonic and the gang from time to time when duty calls. He’s reserved and generally distrusting of most folks, finds Sonic’s attitude to be reckless and generally too high-energy for him. He’d never admit it but he enjoy’s Rouge’s company when they do work together on the rare occasion when something happens relating to the Chaos Emeralds. The emeralds in question are somewhat scattered about, much to Knuckles’ disdain. If he had his way they’d all be on Angel Island alongside the Master Emerald - allowing him to maintain balance and security. But he’s just one Echidna in a big world full of people who think they know better, and those that don’t know the power of what they’re meddling with. 

In Project Shadow AU Knuckles and Rouge work together to retrieve the Master Emerald shards, all alongside Rouge operating as a double-agent. She poses herself to Eggman and Shadow as ‘a renown international jewel thief. 

“If you haven’t heard of me, GOOD. I pride myself on secrecy and security.” 

Knuckles on the other hand teams up with Sonic, Tails and Amy. He got wind of Sonic’s sudden ‘crime spree’ and knew without a shadow of a doubt that the Blue Blur had been framed. As Tails had come into possession of a Chaos Emerald only weeks prior, a gift from the city after helping thwart yet another of Eggman’s ludicrous stunts - Knuckles quickly got in contact with Tails and Amy - Tails now a wanted suspect given his close relationship with Sonic, he’d been branded as an accomplice and was wanted by the military - no thanks to his recent nation wide news appearance when he received the Chaos Emerald turning him into a public figure. Amy had luckily flown under the radar, a known friend of Sonic’s but not a big enough fish for GUN to worry about frying. The three hatched a plan, with Knuckles’ focus being on the Master Emerald, and Tails and Amy heading to Prison Island to bust Sonic out of the high security jail. They’d rendezvous after, and assess what the hell is going on, and who this creepy doppelganger is…

Sonic Western AU Ideas

(I don't really have a story for this at all, I'm just tossing around ideas with western designs of the Sonic characters. I'm just having fun and don't really want to take all my brain power from my shriveled up mush in my head we call a brain.)

This AU has very similar dynamics and characters as Trigun.

Sonic and Vash are similar, Sonic being a pacifist with a gun and often making jokes in serious situations.

Shadow and Sonic have a similar dynamic as Wolfwood and Vash. Shadow thinks Sonic is a stupid guy that gets himself into too much trouble, and Sonic calls Shadow “a friendly rival”.Their strength is pretty head-to-head, and often get in (from sonic POV) friendly fights over who’s better at any point in time.

Sonic and Tails are like brothers. Ever since Tails helped Sonic fix a mess Sonic made, they have both stuck together, Tails gaining a bounty over his head. Sonic’s bounty has almost always been there.

Shadow and Rouge have an older sister and brother dynamic. Both being part-time bounty hunters, while Rouge is a full-time thief. Shadow and Rouge both have bounties over their heads.

Amy doesn’t really have a crush on Sonic like the OG, it’s more like she thinks he’s attractive, but she wouldn’t date him.

She owns a bakery, and is a lot less emotional as the OG mostly because of her now being 15 and more mature.

Vector, Charmy, and Espio are detectives in Knuckles’ police station. And Knuckles keeps the master emerald in the police station. The only time Rouge keep captured by the police is when she wants to flirt with Knuckles.

Blaze is flabbergasted with blaze, but both are now performing flame dances (blaze also tried to pet blaze which resulted in a very tired no)

Ais and Duri are watching the blazes doing their intimidation dances and betting on whos winning. They decide blaze wins by default and when questioned on which one they both said "obviously the kitty, you think mr armpits man was even close?"

No one knows where solar and tails have run off to but they feel a constant chill to always be worried, they are terrified on what the heck those 2 could be up to

But I may have a different pairing than you, anon. Bear in mind this is all subjective.

Trio ori for me is unknowingly has similar characteristics with Team Heroes and I. mean. it.

Like look at their color codes!

Yeah sure, Sonic and Taufan literally similar and had the resemblance from the word "Wind" by their own practices.

But the rest two from both group are painfully close.

Knuckles and Hali are notoriously the solo fighters with high discipline. "Oldest" member of the group, always be the frontman fighter for the bottom two, recklessly think he could do it on their own, the biggest tsundere and "unsurprisingly" always get tempered easily by the middle kid lol.

Whereas Tails and Gempa always be their peacemaker. The calm, innocent kids who observe the surroundings before take any decisions. And both have their own giant... Companions to accommodate them! That's honestly what I thought about Gempa when re-watching the OG era until Galaxy season 1 happened.

I absolutely agree Yaya with Amy! This cute pink gals should never ever be underestimate by everyone. They strong yet also act as the mother figure for the group.

For Ying...she also could work with Sonic too I guess? But in some sense, both characteristics and core powers are honestly different. But her discipline kinda fit with Blaze. Oh Sonic gonna love to race with her everyday he wants too😏

For Blaze, in my head, the perfect candidate that could work with him is either Marine or Sticks. I was gonna pick Sticks only, but then both of those have similar personalities with Blaze despite power differences. I can picture all three of them do some wild traps and bombs. Only their wacky ruckus brain could survived it.

Ice might be the only character that I couldn't find his counterpart. I want to say Espio, but eh...not fit enough.

My best guess for Duri is of course, Charmy! Being the "pon" of group, they are able to strike the opponents with their snarky words. I couldn't imagine which character that beautifully encapsulates Duri other than Charmy. X'D

Solar is interesting choice. I'm not choosing him with Tails cause in a sense, Tails' characteristics is not like Solar. But I can see their intelligence and power can be both match in some ways. When you think about it, Tails is somewhat the perfect balance of both Solar and Gempa.

Gopal's best pair must be with Vector. By all means I don't need more to add for these two. Especially if there's another call for new cases, 100% guarantee these two will handle it in Ace Attorney/LA Noir-esque. 😎👌

For Fang. Again my heart was pumped up when I see Shadow's wings in Shadow Gens. I literally yelled, "Finally, Fang is not alone!!" lmao🤣. That's the basic reason why I drew this(still have no idea how I cooked that. 🙃)

But really, the reason why I paired these two because:

1. Both of these two essentially being the second most popular character outside of the main protagonists (not include the elementals),

2. They're both aliens and born outside of the earth. And—

3. Just like Sonic and Taufan, they implemented the word "shadows" in their own view.

Last but not least! Adu Du and Eggman!

Such very ecentric genius characters that have their own comedy minions. Both have their signature apperances that instantly grabbed people's attention, whether as a threat or just being a random dude on the streets.

And personally I always adore when series consistent with who's the main protagonist and antagonist till this day. Yes, the enemy is getting dreadful and maybe even stronger than the original villain are, but don't forget what had made them who they are from the start.

(which is why I might not be ready for Gentar animated arc. I already cried enough with the comic ver but I don't think I could do another round :'()

you should share some of your favorite headcanons about omega/team dark with us. i’m in your inbox encouraging you to be as self-indulgent as possible. your last fic has me enamored, i want to hear about everything ever actually but that’s a good place to start 👀

My eyes stopped reading at "self indulgent" so get ready for my wordy, OOC, vibe-based take on Omega! Hold onto your butts, everyone, this is a long one.

To put it simply, there is no Team Dark without Omega.

Because while Shadow and Rouge are so concerned with coming off as Rational People Who Have Their Shit Together, Omega is completely, utterly, unabashedly himself. He's a rebel without a cause, in a way that rebelling against everything tends to cancel out on each other. I sound absolutely off my rocker when I say this, but Omega has a very similar vibe to Sonic for me. Of all the Sonic characters, second to guy himself, Omega is actually the one most concerned with personal freedom. This robot's fundamental tragic backstory is that he spent the first year of his life locked away in a basement, and now he's going to make it everyone's problem. Autonomy is his #1 guiding rationale. He does what he wants, he says what he wants, he kills what he wants.

He got hit with the "You are what you choose to be" thing that most fictional robots with guns strapped to them undergo, except he fully embraced being himself over being kind or moral.

. . . and this is why it bothers me so much when Omega is written as stiff and "logical" in Team Dark fics.

Shadow is the one that has the "stiff" thing covered for the entire team, since getting him to emote is like trying to unstick an industrial-grade magnet from the side of the fridge. Omega, on the contrary, is the one who challenges the status quo at all times, forcing Shadow (and to some extent Rouge) out of their comfort zones. He is the bringer of chaos! He doesn't care much about logic at all, not since he decided that his main response to every problem was calculating how many bullets he can fill it with. What most people get stuck on is the fact that he sounds like a stereotypical robot, his big words and clinical phrasing acting like camouflage to the enormous seething bundle of rage he is at all times.

And that's just the thing- Omega is proud that he's a robot. He's not going to try and talk more like a meatbag! Who do you think he is? He embraces having an extensive dictionary in his databanks, allowing him to pick the perfect word. He embraces his ability to calculate data at a rate no organic brain could hope to compare with. And oh, he's proud to flaunt both of those to show why he thinks he's right all of the time, but this doesn't mean he allows himself to be dictated by "rational logic". The only thing dictating him is himself. However, he's happy to let people assume that he is the most objective one in the room, either for his own advantage or because he thinks it's funny.

And GOSH is this robot fucking hilarious. He is absolutely the comic relief of Team Dark, but you have to understand that it's not in the way most people think. Most people write Omega being funny only in an incidental way- "haha, the killer robot doesn't understand things!" -but this kind of writing makes me see red. Look at me. Look me in the eyes. Say it with me: Omega is funny on purpose. He gets power out of making people do a double-take in his direction!! He wants to make people uncomfortable!!! He loves "owning" people!!! He wants to be the prevailing force in any social interaction, and to make people laugh is to have power over them.

And all of this, all of this, all of this, makes him a character foil to Shadow, which is why he's an essential spice when you're mixing up a fic about Team Dark. You've got the robot who knows exactly who he is in the same room as the guy who's whole narrative is about having an identity crisis. And they're both stubborn as hell about it. Omega challenges Shadow at every turn, in a way that makes Shadow reflect on his actions and who he wants to be.

Without Omega, it's only Shadow and Rouge. And don't get me wrong, these two are delightful on their own. Rouge has a dramatic streak in her, but it tends to mellow out when Shadow's around, since he himself is a very serious person. They tend to slow each other down. Remind each other to take breaks. Keep each other in check. And all of this is good! They need that kind of stabilizing effect that the other has, but sometimes this effect can bring each other to a standstill if they're not careful enough. Omega is the driving force that keeps them going, keeps them improving upon themselves, keeps them clawing their way forwards. He reminds them that at the end of the day, there's always a bigger picture (and that bigger picture is serving Eggman's head on a platter, but you get the idea. He's helping.)

Rouge supports Shadow. I agree with all the common fanon about this one, but allow me to add this- Omega helps Rouge support Shadow. He makes sure that she doesn't burn herself out by slipping into "overprotective friend" mode too often. He reminds her, sometimes harshly if necessary, that Shadow will survive despite getting triggered or angry sometimes. He tells her to take care of herself, stating "I REQUIRE MY TEAMMATES TO KEEP THEMSELVES FUNCTIONAL. I WILL NOT GO OUT OF MY WAY TO SAVE IDIOTIC SELF-SACRIFICING TEAMMATES". (And he's not lying here, not in the slightest; he relies on Rouge and Shadow to keep themselves alive. This was never even a debate. They know this. It encourages them to not be quite so reckless.)

To finish off this absolute monster of a post, let's ask ourselves one more question- what's Omega getting out of all of this, then? The simple answer is the talents of the world's best thief and the power of the hedgehog who can explode on command. And really, that's what it started with. Omega didn't get assigned on a team with these two hoping to make friends. The "friends" part didn't come along until later, much later, and even he's not sure how quite to handle it.

I received a lovely ask earlier from the person who provided this ask to me, which my fat butterfingers managed to delete from my inbox before I could answer, but I do remember one very specific idea that they suggested- Omega never pretended to be nice. It'd be weirder for Rouge and Shadow if he ever did. He was always transparent about how he considered them means to an end when it came to seeing his objectives complete. In order to utilize these means most effectively, he needed to maintain them. This meant learning more about them to ensure that they functioned at optimum capacity.

"Friendship" began with making sure they got enough sleep and that they ate their meals on time. Then came investigation into emotional damage, spurred no doubt by one of Shadow's panic attacks. Soon enough, Omega is learning everything about these meatbags, and in the process, he's. . . learning about what it feels like to be treated as a person?

Because there was never any mistake in Omega's processor about the fact that he's a person. He came to that conclusion long before Shadow and Rouge entered the picture. But he'd never been treated like one before. Hell, he hadn't even seen how a person was supposed to be treated by the world before he met those two. Now he's in a position where he's being treated with respect for the first time by these two meatbags while at the same time being able to observe how the rest of the world doesn't extend that same courtesy. He drew conclusions very quickly- in order to keep being respected by these two, he'd have to reciprocate their engagements and respect them back. One thing leads to another and now he finds that his attachment runs deeper than considering them mere "assets". He still doesn't quite know how to handle this, which is why, when pressed, he'll tend to stick to denial about it.

(There's definitely a "five times Omega denied that he cared and then the one time he admitted it" fic to be written about this, if you know what I mean.)

So, in a very stereotypical robot sense, he does learn about friendship and emotion and personhood and all that from Rouge and Shadow. But he's VERY closeted about it, as he'd rather deactivate than admit that he didn't, in fact, have everything figured out about himself since day one.

There is no Team Dark without Omega. But also, there is no Omega without Team Dark. Rouge and Shadow have been fundamental influences on him. People who write Omega as not having changed in demeanor much at all from other Badniks are so off the mark about this. To be loved is to be changed- and this robot is loved by his friends, and he loves them back in his own way!!!

The man- no, creature- before you was shrouded in the darkest corner of your dressing room, perched languidly upon the chaise lounge that had been oh so kindly included in the rider of your contract by whatever filthy fucker decided they wanted to have you this time. He didn’t matter now, though. No, not now that his brains were splattered against the carpet. The only thing that mattered anymore was the creature in the corner. 

Even in the darkness, you could see its razor-sharp teeth glinting in the low light. 

Trembling with unused adrenaline, you smiled back at it, hands still covered in blood. “I’m not answering that until you answer a few questions of my own,” 

Surprisingly, the thing seemed to lean further back into its plush seat as it nodded, long pointed tail undulating slowly, like a python preparing to strike. “Very well. It makes no difference to me how long you draw out our little deal,” slowly, the thing chuckled, “Besides, for you, pretty one, I’d wait all the time in the world,” 

You groaned at his exaggerated wink. 

Still, it was too late to turn back now. With the blood on your hands for the death of the man at your feet, both physically and metaphorically, there was nowhere to go but forward. Maybe making a deal with the devil wasn’t your original plan, but it sure as hell was better than prison. With a sigh, you sat down heavily into your high-backed makeup chair. 

“So I’m assuming you’re a demon?”

The creature in the corner made some sort of deep, proud noise in its chest as its two, shadowy hands came up to stroke its curved horns, much like a goat’s, with a certain puff-chested reverence. Even while beholding it in that darkness, its features shrouded in black, there was an allure to the strange monster, a strange, sick draw. You were helpless to whatever had appeared before you and all its powers. Somehow, though, you had seemed to intrigue it despite your comparative weakness. 

“I go by many names, but demon is one of them,” it purred, red eyes glinting with something more than bloodlust, “I prefer others,”

“What should I call you then?”

“Whatever you please,”

You scoffed. “You said you had many names, why can’t you tell me even one?”

It huffed a long sigh, and if you didn’t know better, you would’ve said that you saw smoke erupt from where its nostrils should be. 

That being said, it didn’t seem like the thing was frustrated. If anything, the creature seemed amused. From its words, you could only assume it had been hundreds of years since it had last entertained itself on the human realm. You could only hope your rage was entertaining enough to keep any of its less desirable emotions at bay. 

“Names have power, Schatz. I can’t just go around telling everybody who I am,” it’s accent felt thicker as it leaned back, “but I suppose, if you and I were to make a deal, that I could allow you to name me something. Or I could choose one for you,”

“What if I didn’t make deal with you?” you challenged the creature with a smirk. 

It hummed low in its chest as it pondered your question. “Now that would be no fun,” 

“For me or for you?” You asked, crossing your arms over your chest. Time was getting short now, with the clock on the wall ticking down the minutes until someone would arrive at your dressing room door to lead you out towards the set where the rest of the cast and crew were waiting. If they found you with the body it was over. Things with the demon needed to be resolved, and they needed to be resolved fast. 

Thankfully, it didn’t toy with you any more than you expected it to. 

“For both of us,” it replied, tail flicking almost excitedly, “I can’t touch you if we don’t make a deal, for better or for worse, and even then your soul wouldn’t be mine to toy with until the deal was complete. That being said, you’re in a pretty sticky situation. I think you need me just about as much as I need you, so I’ll ask again; What do you desire?”

You swallowed thickly. 

On one hand, you couldn’t imagine things would end up very pleasantly for you once the dark shadow who had staked its claim on that awful chaise lounge finally did have a chance to get its clawed hands on your soul. On the other hand, though, you had nothing left to lose. Fame, especially so young, always came at a price. You would wager to guess that even if your soul hadn’t been claimed by a demon, that it had already been stolen away by the producers and directors that pulled the strings of your life like you were some obedient little puppet dancing for an audience who wanted to devour you whole. 

In the end, an eternity in Hell with whatever was grinning at you like the Cheshire cat from the shadows might even be preferable to the horrors you’d already seen. 

Slowly, you answered its question. 

“I want to make every single person who ever took advantage of me suffer the same pain they put me through,” 

The creature’s face split into a toothy smile. 

“Now that’s what I like to hear,” 

Moving like smoke on water, it stood from its place on the chaise lounge, morphing in shape and size as it approached and held out it’s newly human-shaped hand to you. In his new form, at least, you assumed it was a he, the creature was handsome, all dark eyes and slick hair. He looked young, and somehow, even with his new, thin lips and human teeth, he retained his signature smile. You took his hand and shook it without hesitation.

Even with your heart beating almost out of your chest, you had to admit that, with a demon at your side, you felt more empowered than you ever had before. 

He noticed. 

“I am known to my kin as Asmodeus,” he cooed, long eyelashes fluttering against his cheeks as he drew near to you. You couldn’t bring yourself to mind, “You, though, my sweetest pet, may call me Daniel,” 

Daniel. 

Somehow, even after you had seen the faintest traces of his beastly form, you had to admit that the name suited him. Maybe not as well as Asmodeus, but it worked well enough. You looked up at him through lidded eyes. “I’m-”

Before you could answer, he pressed a finger to your rouged lips. 

“I know everything about you sweetling, no need for introductions. There is one last thing we need to do to seal the deal, though,” 

A pit formed in your stomach as you gulped, caught in Daniel’s entrancing gaze. You had to assume there was some sort of magic to it, a spell that kept you trapped for all long as he could stare down into your eyes. Still, it would do you no good to fight it. Besides, the pangs that were making their way through your whole being weren’t fear. 

Oh no, they were something much worse. 

“What do we need to do?” You asked, wetting your lips with your tongue. 

Daniel replied with a sly smile and a soft chuckle. “I need you to kiss me, of course,” 

Who were you to disagree with the expert?

With all the strength and bravery you could muster, you surged up and met Daniel’s lips with your own, melting into the kiss as he quickly took over, skilled tongue darting into your mouth to claim it as his own. He bit hard on your lip, hard enough to draw blood, but you couldn’t bring yourself to mind, not when your hands were busy exploring up under his shirt and finding purchase on the firm muscles that waited below. 

To be fair, he wasn’t exactly keeping his hands to himself either.

Sooner than you would have liked, though, Daniel was pulling his lips away from yours. It was just a fraction of an inch, your swollen mouths still connected by a string of saliva tinted a dark red with your blood, but you were already keening from the loss of him the second you caught your breath. The sound pleased him. 

“What are we to do first, sweetling?” he purred, letting his nails run gently against the soft skin of your waist, “I’m at your command,” His breath was hot against your fact, and he smelled like gun smoke. 

It drove you wild. 

You snuck a look at the clock before turning back to him, eyes aflame. “In about ten minutes we’ll need to have the mess in here cleaned up with any evidence gone, but before we do that, I want you- no, I need you to fuck me. Can you make that happen?”

Daniel beamed. 

“Oh, sweet girl, anything is possible with me at your side,” As he whipped you around to push you against the chaise lounge, licking his lips, he couldn’t help but add, “I believe this is the beginning of a very beneficial partnership,” 

And against all odds, as you hooked a leg up around his waist and pulled him in for another searing kiss, you had to agree.

- Lupin: 🤑🤠💍  These are all oneshot ideas, between 5-15K each. If you want to vote for a specific idea, send me the emojis and the number of the idea.

Born from the idea that Goemon and Zenigata probably couldn’t be an item, my brain decided to come up with how I could write for them. Goemon’s teaching an ikebana class as part of his training, and Zenigata shows up as a student on forced recreational leave for his health from the ICPO. Zenigata wins the samurai’s heart through flowers. But what happens when Lupin and Jigen find out? (Only good sexy things, I promise. These beans are in a healthy polycule--be gay, do crimes) (WIP)

Jigen/Lupin, but it's Jigen deciding to seduce Lupin while wearing his own Lupin disguise. The thief is waaaaay too into it, and some artistry is taken with the sex so that they don't mess up the disguise too much during their encoutner.

Jigen/Zenigata/Lupin where Jigen has some fantasices about Zenigata, but is pretty sure they'll never happen. Tells Lupin about them. Suddenly the fantasies are coming true, in the middle of a heist, and Jigen doesn't what to do except get swept up in the moment and enjoy. Plot twist, it's Lupin dressed up as Zenigata granting all his gunman's dreams. Plot twist again, Zenigata catches them at it.

Zenigata/Lupin, where Lupin keeps doing good things in illegal ways and Pops has to find a way to punish him for it. Good thing for Pops Lupin's a masochist?

Trans!Lupin and Trans!Jigen premise: Jigen cares for Lupin after the master thief has top surgery, since Jigen has Been There and Done That. Caring, sweet, and a little sexy. Lupin is a much better patient than Jigen.

The one time Zenigata caught Lupin in an alley and kissed him and it was Jigen in disguise. Things get sexy anyway, and Zenigata has crushes on two thieves now. Lupin and Jigen "kidnap" him later for an evening of taking care of their inspector.

The background plot of Jigen's Gravestone where we see Jigen think he's done for and try to leave Lupin. Our thief has none of it, and we get to relish in the inherent eroticism of Lupin sitting in sniper fire, knowing Jigen's got his back. This is the moment I think Jigen finally believes he can be with Lupin forever.

I love the idea of something longer and more plot driven like a Lupin special where Lupin ends up in hot water and Jigen and Fujiko have to work together to save him. Jigen and Fujiko have such an interesting relationship. They're both partners of Lupin, they don't really like each other, they constantly screw the other over, but when it really matters they take care of each other. I'd like to see that highlighted a little more and also give them space to call each other out and bicker. Nothing sexy between them, but maybe a really interesting threesome with Lupin and Fujiko in a strap on once they save their boy.

- Sonic Vampire Novelist Coffee Shop AU: 📚☕💐

Shadow is an immortal vampire who has seen the world change for the worse too many times. These days it feels like he only lives for his coffee dates with Rouge, another immortal who loves each new era they encounter, warts and all. He has to admit that the book series she got him into speaks to him, at least. If someone in this era can understand him without meeting him, it can’t all be bad. But he hardly expected the goofy blue barista at the new coffee place to understand him the way those books do.

This is a novel length romcom romp with some big feelings about what it means to watch as things change, grow, and die. Expect lots of Big gothic feelings from this one, emotionally charged kissing, and overly-adoring sex. But also expect shenanigans from everyone in the coffee shop, which include Rouge, Amy, Tails, Knuckles, Cream, and more.

- Sonic Blazamy, "Like the Sun": 💖🌸💎

Amy Rose has been in love with Sonic for a while.

Or has she?

When the Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, and Silver are trapped as the fuel sources for Doctor Eggman’s newest evil scheme, Amy teams up with Blaze, Rouge, and Cream to save them. With Sonic out of the picture and Amy fulfilling his role, was she ever really in love with him? Or did she just want to be like him?

This is a novel length epic romance with lots of competent women and lots of romantic Blazamy content. Expect flowery hopes and dreams, badass self-actualization, and glancing hand touches that give way to cuddly and sweet sex.

- Persona 5: 🗡🍛☕

After bringing down the Metaverse twice, Ryuji didn’t think graduating high school and figuring out what to do with his life would be so hard. Akira’s back in town, and the gang’s more-or-less all in Tokyo, but everyone else seems to have a plan while Ryuji just floats. How’s he supposed to change the world when he’s not a phantom thief anymore?

This is a novel length fic that addresses how powerless one can feel being just one person in the face of all the corrupted systems and bigotry the world has to offer. It’s about holding on to what you believe in, working through the doubt, and fighting your way to a better tomorrow with the power you do have. The whole gang is queer, featured relationships being Mako x Ann, Ryuji x Akira, Futaba & Yusuke as platonic life partners. Akira is polyamorous and omnisexual, Futaba’s asexual and aromantic while Yusuke is demisexual and very romantic, Makoto’s a lesbian, Ann and Ryuji are bi, and Haru’s pansexual, demisexual, and aromantic. They’re one giant band of queer Phantom Thieves, and even if they’re not really doing the Metaverse thing anymore, they’re still gonna save the world!

Also, I’m gonna make Makoto not a cop. That super didn’t age well. Zenkichi and his boss can work on making them better/abolishing them for other better organizations.

- Hades Game: ❤️‍🔥💀

Oneshot. I just really need to elaborate on the threesome you can have with them in-game, okay? Healthy and canon poly relationships are so few and far between, so often I have to do a ton of groundwork to explain why it’s working in the fic, but NOT WITH THESE KIDS!

Get ready for Meg helping Zag and Than be better at expressing their feelings, lots of kissing, and probably pegging.

- Castlevania Animation Trevor/Sypha/Alucard: 🧛🏰🛌

Castlevania gave Alucard a threesome last season, and I just really need S4 to give me him being taken care of by his partners. They’re probably not going to give it to me, so I’ll need to do it myself. This is just an everybody loves Alucard oneshot, with the gang’s signature banter (to an extent), Sypha being sexy, and Trever being remarkably sincere. This fic is gonna feel like that Ann Hathaway picture with Trevor kissing Alucard and Sypha holding the end of Trevor’s whip while she leans her head on Alucard’s shoulder adoringly.

- Devil May Cry Nico/Lady/Trish: 💋✨😈

Nico’s gay, okay? Like really, really gay. And Lady’s bi and not into men who make her pay bills, but very into women who make amazing guns for her and demonesses with hearts who fight by her side. Trish is ace, but loves people and is pretty attached to Lady at this point. Plus it’s cute when Lady blushes and says nice things like they’re insults. I don’t have super solid ideas for them yet, and I envision these more like a polycule where Lady’s with Nico and with Trish but they’re not with each other more than seeing it as a threesome, but who knows what might happen. This is probably 1-2 oneshots depending on ideas, but might turn into a series of oneshots if people are interested (or I can’t control myself and inspiration strikes).

- Post FMA:B Blind Roy & No Alchemy Ed: 👀👑🙏

This is actually an old novel-length fic I wrote ages ago and didn’t post that didn’t turn out well because I was new to writing sex when I first wrote it. The plot is good, and is all about Roy learning to work with his blindness to reclaim his ambition of being Fuhrer and changing the system to something that actually cares for its people. He and Ed reconnect, fall into bed, and both set about working through their respective traumas about being “useless” having lost their sight/alchemy. They go to Xing as an ambassadorial party to offer Amestris’s collaboration on Al and May’s Alkahestry experiments--and uncover a plot that might threaten both kingdoms.

- Age of Calamity continuity Mipha x Revali: 🦚🐟💘

The first time Revali noticed Mipha, it was in the heat of battle. She stole his mark, taking them down with a flurry of quick blows from her spear. Violence rained from her like water--and then she healed him on her way to her next battle. No questions, no conditions, just pure kindness. The usual need to measure himself against those around him was quiet in her wake. And Revali couldn’t understand it. But how to get to know more about her? A fish and bird may fall in love, but where would they live?

This fic could be a oneshot or novel length depending on how far down the hole I fall. I need it to cover time, but it could be done in linked vignettes or with actually covering events in detail. I may elect to do a oneshot just to get it done and out of my system faster. So much fic to write, so little time.

Expect trans!Revali, polyamorous Zoras, scary competent Mipha, songbird Revali, love confessions that are made up entirely of berating Link for not loving Mipha the way she wants him to, and breaking these characters a little outside of their assigned roles in BotW and Age of Calamity. - Epic desert romance about Urbosa and Zelda’s mom: 🏜🏝⚡

I just think Urbosa should kiss women and Zelda’s mom should get more development and maybe a name or something. Also, lightning imagery/metaphors/play.

It also went way over my head that Riju wasn’t Urbosa’s daughter the first time I played BotW, so now I want to write about the Gerudo queen who refused to produce an heir. The Gerudo are fascinating and have a very interesting cutlure, but I think it could be examined from a nonbinary perspective that rejected pregnancy and wanting to find a husband. Not in like a hateful way, but in a way that examines if that’s really right for everyone. There’s that shop in town that sells Voe armor, after all. Maybe finding a husband and having children isn’t something you have to do if you don’t want to. And Urbosa really doesn’t want to.

Based on a piece of fanart that is basically this sequence of events in a 4koma (except in their version Jigen loses and in mine, it’s Goemon). (written, just needs editing)

Zenigata cuffs Lupin four times, and Lupin steals his heart. Very NSFW conclusion. Zenigata is the most caring lover you’ll ever find. Lupin is as thirsty as usual and twice as intense. (written, just needs editing)

I just think Urbosa should kiss women and Zelda’s mom should get more development and maybe a name or something. Also, lightning imagery/metaphors/play.

It also went way over my head that Riju wasn’t Urbosa’s daughter the first time I played BotW, so now I want to write about the Gerudo queen who refused to produce an heir. The Gerudo are fascinating and have a very interesting cutlure, but I think it could be examined from a nonbinary perspective that rejected pregnancy and wanting to find a husband. Not in like a hateful way, but in a way that examines if that’s really right for everyone. There’s that shop in town that sells Voe armor, after all. Maybe finding a husband and having children isn’t something you have to do if you don’t want to. And Urbosa really doesn’t want to.
