Ladybug, casually: Oh, it’s from my latest treasure hunt I made for him.

Chat Noir: …You give him treasure hunts? Why?

Ladybug: I still don’t totally trust him not to pull another ‘Red Moon’ incident so I figured if I give him enrichment, he’s gonna be spending his time solving puzzles and figuring out clues that take him all over the city instead of potentially becoming a supervillain again.

Chat Noir, who watched Félix spend several hours to solving riddles last night: …Huh. Does he know..?

Ladybug: 90% sure, yes. I don’t think he cares that much, he’s pretty invested in it and I’m great at creating complex systems with clues to follow so— it works out. Plus usually there is something to find at the end of the trail. Usually Kagami.

The thing about jonmartin is that Martin wants to be a romantic, he loves poetry and probably watches romance but for him it is a fantasy, a silly game he plays. Martin is at his core very cynical. Things don't work out for him so he doesn't really belive in romance, it is a pretty dream but that's it. He is pratical and realist. Dating Jon he has to remind himself it is real and he actually struggles with romantic gestures, it is something he has to remind himself to do, to remind himself he can do even and honestly who even has the energy and what if Jon doesn't even like it?

Jon on the other hand wants to be cynical. His first coping mechanism was pretend the things he was afraid of weren't real and goddam if he isn't afraid of love. It didn't really work to him so far so it's easy to pretend he doesn't care. But he is a romantic at heart. He saw love and he read about it and he has enough evidence that it is undeniable. And to be honest Jon was always to much a bunch of mushy feelings hidden in a grumpy (and bitter and afraid) trench coat. Dating Martin he has to hold himself so he isn't too much. He plays the grumpy unromantic guy at first. But he just can't stop giving flowers and planing dates (this is the guy that saw a theme park on a fear domain and considered how he wanted to take Martin to a romantic ferris whell date [until he discovered Martin was afraid of them]) and making all the silly things one does when in love.

TR: Martin is deep down very cynical about love but wants to/pretends to be a romantic and Jon is deep down very romantic but wants to/pretends to be cynical about love.

#that's also to say Martin is definitivaly the one forgeting important dates #wich is more complicated cause jon consider random things important #like jon has no expectation that martin will actualy do something to celebrate 'the aniversary of the first time you got me flowers'#but he will circle the date and give martin a flower and martin will go 'is this jon being silly or did i forgot our birthday again'#until jon just stops circling it on calendars so martin won't be anxious #jon is romantic enough that he is fine being the only one that rememberz #remember guys jon asked if they would find each other in every universe #jon belived he and martin would always be together #martin belived it was a miracle they were together once a great miracle but a miracle #tma #the magnus archives #martin blackwood #jonathan sims #jonmartin #jmart #teaholding

#hoot art #ok its time to get mushy in the tags because I doubt anyone would read them too closely #I’ve had severe art block for YEARS before I got into danmei in 2024 #and it wasn’t that my skill was gone it’s just that I thought nothing I did was good enough #I started reading danmei around the summer of last year and I got SO INSPIRED #I dived into the fandom side of things (I haven’t been in a live fandom in years) and was so excited about all the art people were making #and writing! and music! and animatics!#everything was so bright and colorful and beautiful #and everyone had such cool designs for these book characters that I’d grown to love #so I took a chance and doodled a little Luo Binghe and posted him on here #and I was so taken aback by how welcoming and sweet the fandom was #it made me wanna keep taking chances and posting my art— because I think that’s one of the hardest things I’ve come to accept #that even if it’s not good enough for me #someone else may enjoy it #and ain’t it crazy that ive come to enjoy drawing again too #sure the interaction has been fun but it’s been even more fun experimenting with my style and experimenting with colors and rendering #and grayscale and angles #and composition and expressions #ahh!! art is so fun!! #keese draws #new game+#grips sink and tries not to cry #isat #ok anyways I just drew this because I wanted to try out an isat profile html someone on toyhouse made #plus I’ve been rotating early on less completely fucked up chou in my mind recently #anyways did you know that comicfrin (at least in one panel) doesn’t wear gloves? fun stuff #oh wait speaking of forgot to tag them #comic siffrin #anyways important note! them looking less disheveled than siffrin is on purpose #chou started off their loops Far more mentally stable than siffrin and actually managed pretty well their first run through #it still was rough and they still were a bit of a sad wet trembling puppy abt it but they were generally doing just fine #they didn’t even go on a self loathing monologue after their first death! who is this guy!#dw the self loathing is still there it just takes a bit longer to hit in full force since again they started off more stable #anyways I probably should have cross referenced some move animations for this but I think I got the point across that they’re a support #unit even if the turn passing gimmic is not rly evident (idk if I could make it evident tbf)#shout out to how in their default kit they have 6 turn passing skills and only one attacking skill #also said attack as a cooldown of. five turns. tbf that’s because it has a pretty strong secondary effect #they also have three other support moves where they boost different damage types for a round #so yeah they’re basically pure support which they sorta had to be at first because bestie started off at level like. 5.#they ofc switch up their kit pretty damn fast after the first run #but first time around when they were leveling at abt the same rate as everyone else they were content to play support
